Bill Hamon, Another Transfer of Wealth Ministry Needs Your Transfer of Wealth (To Them) To Make It Through

However, more recently we have reached a desperate financial situation.  The ministry staff has faithfully cut and curbed costs, but even as expenses have dropped, so has our income.  Many of the leadership have put in their own money to cover payroll, but that can only be done so many times. As a ministry it has always been our policy that we don’t lay people off.  Unfortunately, recently we have had to use this option as a way to keep the ministry running.  Our staff has been resilient as we have had to lay off several employees, placing a greater work load on many that remain, as well cutting their salaries by 10%.

Bill Hamon, Another Transfer of Wealth Ministry Needs Your Transfer of Wealth (To Them) To Make It Through

Someone kindly directed me to this from ‘Biship’ Bill Hamon’s site here, dated 11th May 2009. Bill Hamon is yet another one in the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) who blatantly cannot manifest what he preaches, just like Steve Shultz, Chuck Pierce and C Peter Wagner preach and even hold conferences on release and transfer of wealth yet cannot manifest what they preach and prophesy either. Something is seriously amiss in prophet land. Why on earth won’t the church wake up to it?

Bill Hamon says –

“Friday, February 6th I woke and felt the Lord quickened to me the story found in 2 Kings 3. In this chapter the three kings of Israel, Judah and Edom marched seven days into the desert, in a round about way, to attack Moab.  They ran out of water and none was available where they were.  Their provision for survival and continuing on was insufficient to meet their needs. They went to the prophet Elisha and he prophesied to dig long rows of ditches in the valley. The Prophet said God would fill the ditches with water.  They would not see clouds or rain, but water would come. water of provision is coming so that we may survive and be enabled to destroy our enemies and reap the spoils of victory.

I know that many people are experiencing tough financial times and others are tightening their belts in preparation for what may come. However, I strongly believe that in this time, more than ever, we must not forget the principle of sowing and reaping. [endtimespropheticwords comment – working your way to Bill Hamon of course]   Over and over scripture shows us that if we will give freely, rather than holding on, He will be more than faithful to bring the return. As a ministry we have continued to sow into other ministries even through this tough time.  I encourage you to do the same.

Over the last year Christian International has faced some of the toughest financial times since we first moved to Florida 25 years ago. In the early days our staff was accustomed to possible short pay checks or even being asked to sow their salaries.  Since we were such a close knit community we pulled together and made it through.  Praise God it has been many years since those early days!

For nearly two months our staff has done what would normally take them 80 hours in 72.  Some have even chosen to sow the additional eight hours to make sure that their part of the vision was fulfilled.

In a situation like this, it is imperative to seek the Lord for direction.  So that is exactly what the leadership gathered to do.  We talked it over, sought the Lord, revisited prophetic words and decided that God is not telling us to stop or to back down. Then we began the process of trusting Him to bring the needed provision. [endtimes: by sending out begging letters]

If you have been with our ministry for any length of time you know it is not our nature to ask for money unless it is absolutely necessary. We have a great need and I encourage you to seek the Lord as to what extra you can give at this time.  I know God will give you a hundred-fold return on your seed sown. [endtimes comment –  pimp it, Bill!  And if the seed sown really works this way, why doesn’t Bill give out to you or some other worthy project and get a hundred fold return for himself? He’d never need to ask anyone for money ever again, would he?! But he doesn’t as it doesn’t work like that!]

In 1 Corinthians 3 Paul encouraged the church at Corinth that we all play a part in accomplishing the purpose of God in the earth.  Verse 9 says, “We work together as partners who belong to God…” One plants the seed, another waters and another harvests.  I am depending on God and you to make sure we continue to progress in fulfilling our ministry together in Christ. I look forward to hearing from you soon. [endtimes – as long as a check is enclosed in the envelope – bit presumptive too isn’t it?!]

Yours in Christ,

Bishop Bill Hamon”

Maybe Bill Hamon needs to read his daughter-in-law Jane Hamon’s book ‘The Cyrus Decree’  (or talk to her more?) and then call in some of his fellow apostles and prophets in to do some effective decreeing instead of ineffective screeing? Mind you, we all know what happened when the NAR elite decree’d at Lakeland when giving Todd Bentley the apostolic handshake and ring …

“Jane Hamon…. discusses the truths and the blessings she says have come in the earth through prophetic proclamations and apostolic decrees. She discusses the ministry of the prophets and apostles in the marketplace and in the pulpit. Jane references the kingship of Cyrus as the biblical basis for these proclamations and their impact on the earth.

In order to understand why Cyrus’ call to deliver the people was so significant, it must be set in historical context. The Israelites were captive in Babylon in part because of the foolishness of Hezekiah. King Hezekiah was sick and Isaiah prophesied to him that he would die. Hezekiah petitioned God and God changed His mind and gave Hezekiah 15 more years to live. Once well, Hezekiah invited foreign visitors into his palace and bragged about all his wealth and possessions. The foreign visitors were from a little known place called Babylon. It took 100 years, but the Israelites were taken captive by these very foreigners and all they had was carried away to Babylon. But God never leaves His people without a means of deliverance and this time the deliverance would come through Cyrus.

WHY CYRUS?

Jane explains it this way. “Cyrus was anointed by the Lord for a season of dominion on the earth that would result in one of the greatest earthly kingdoms ever established. God’s purpose in raising Cyrus up as king was to make him an instrument the Lord could use to release Israel from Babylon and to enable them to return to their land to rebuild what the emeny had destroyed.” Jane says that Cyrus was a warrior by age 16 and that in the Church today, God is developing warriors to battle on the spiritual front. She says the trumpet is sounding and each saint is being called on to be ready for war because just like in the days of Cyrus, many, many people still live in slavery to sin and death. She says there are people to be delivered, cities to be freed, nations to be won and entire regions of the earth to be liberated by the reality of the gospel. But this current day warfare is not with guns or tanks or planes but the spiritual weapons of prayer, praise and proclamation. Jane says God is looking for those in the Body of Christ who will do as Cyrus did and be ready to take on the spirit and attitude of a warrior for these times.

Simply stated, The Cyrus Decree will release apostolic and prophetic keys to the 21st century Church to liberate captives, transfer wealth, revolutionize nations and build the Kingdom of God!  [endtimes – don’t these people listen when Jesus said my kingdom is not of this world?]

The Cyrus Decree  releases Kingdom keys to empower the individual believer to release power through prophetic proclamations, unlock your wealth and your destiny, utilize your spiritual weapons of war, bring God’s voice to the marketplace, build and restore God’s Church, legislate God’s Kingdom rule, set captives free, conquer idolatrous systems and transfer wealth for building the kingdom…”

Eisegesis Versus Exegesis: When Doctrine Is Set Aside For Opinions and Feelings

Posted by Job on March 4, 2009

Excerpt from post:

What Happens When Doctrine Is Set Aside For Opinions and Feelings

“Eisegesis” — from the Greek root word “eis,” which means “into, in, or among.” Eisegesis is the errant hermeneutic practice of reading or forcing a desired meaning into a text, by applying either an unbiblical or extra-biblical presupposition to the text. “Exegesis,” on the other hand, is the biblical hermeneutic practice of drawing the true meaning of a verse or passage from the text, by using other sound hermeneutic principles to assist in arriving at the right interpretation. Proper exegesis of Scripture requires the Bible student to set aside subjectivity for objectivity.

I would like you to meet Joshua. Joshua is a student (either past or current) of the Bethel Supernatural School of Ministry. The school is a subsidiary of Bethel Church, in Redding, CA–sadly, a hub of activity for the false spiritual movement known as the Lakeland Revival, a creation of now disgraced adulterer Todd Bentley and Fresh Fire Ministries.

An example of what the false doctrines of these wicked movements produce is the video below. More evidence that people are setting aside the Bible to believe what they want to believe. Please continue to the rest of the post by clicking on the link below.

Ravi Zacharias and Jack Hayford Joined Noted Pulpit Pimps John Hagee, TD Jakes And Joyce Meyer To Pull Off Pray For Peace Of Jerusalem Event!

Posted by Job on October 6, 2008

Two cannot walk together unless they be agreed.

Major Global Prayer Initiative for Jerusalem Peace Begins

Millions of Christians from around the world are expected to take part in the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem on Sunday. The annual event, observed each year on the first Sunday of October, boasts support from many prominent Christian leaders including T.D. Jakes, Jack Hayford, John Hagee, Sunday Adeleja, Ravi Zacharias, Michael W. Smith, and Joyce Meyer.

These leaders and thousands of others have signed a document calling for global prayer for Jerusalem and all its inhabitants. “As Christians and believers in the Word of God, we have a responsibility to pray for the peace of Jerusalem,” wrote Joyce Meyer of Joyce Meyer Ministries. (As Christians, you are also supposed to discern who you pray WITH.)

“America and Israel have been friends and allies for many years now and today we must continue to stand in support of Israel,” she added. “As the body of Christ we must ask God to bring them not only peace in the natural, but also peace spiritually through relationship with Jesus Christ.” (So Joyce Meyer is now among those claiming that our temporal political alliances are spiritual aims of the eternal kingdom of heaven. In other words, typical religious right ideas that are quite frankly not much different from the left wing flavor of amillennialism, the social gospel.)

The prayer initiative takes its calling from Psalm 122:6. which states: “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May they prosper who love you.’” (So are we to fulfil that scripture by praying with occultists, Satanists, Hindus, and Buddhists? Or only with other Christians? And are we to make a big political and media spectacle of obeying scripture? Or did not Jesus Christ say that such smacked of Phariseeism?)

Besides the event in Jerusalem and in local churches worldwide, the DPPJ will also feature a 24-hour global prayer conference on Sunday. Last year, more than 700 people dialed-in from 14 nations to the prayer line to unite in intercession for Israel.

“To pray for the peace of Jerusalem is to pray, ‘Lord, let your Kingdom come and Your will be done on earth, not only in the ultimate revelation of His King coming from Heaven, but in the present revelation of God’s peace as it comes into our hearts in a troubled world, to bring to the heartbeat center of the world, something of a peace that alleviates the tensions, the hatred, the bombings, the torments,” wrote Dr. Jack Hayford, co-chairman of the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem.

This year, more than 200,000 churches in 175 nations will participate in the largest Israel-focused prayer event in history, according to the DPPJ Web site. The Jerusalem Celebration will be broadcasted live across 192 nations through GOD TV. (Please note: GOD TV was the Todd Bentley promotion central channel)

Did William Carey Have The Charismatic Holy Spirit Gifts Of Unknown Tongues And Interpretations?

Posted by Job on September 19, 2008

Ever since the rise of the modern Pentecostal/charismatic movement, there has been debate on whether such sign gifts as speaking in and interpreting unknown tongues are for today, or whether they were given only in apostolic times for the purposes of founding the church and spreading the gospel. People who take the latter view in particular often advance the view that tongues and interpretations (along with other sign gifts) were primarily used to spread the gospel to new areas.

Well let us consider the case of William Carey. In Carey’s day, the turn of the 19th century, it was commonly – and quite strongly – believed in Protestant Christianity that it was not the duty of Christians to spread the gospel outside of “Christendom”, or areas with a large Christian presence directly ruled by a Christian state. How this belief actually played out seemed inconsistent and unusual, as it appears that a large self – sustaining colonial presence in North America made it acceptable to proselytize the natives (the so – called Indians), but other areas where there was certainly a western presence was considered to be off – limits. It is fashionable to blame Calvinism for this mindset, but the truth is that Arminians generally followed this practice too: those such as the Wesleys were willing to preach to native Americans, but were no more motivated to offer people in areas lacking a strong western political and military presence or self – sustaining colonial populations a chance to make a decision for Jesus Christ than were the Calvinists in seeking God’s elect. In any case, the prevailing excuses appeared to be that Christians had more than sufficient work tending to the lost (and discipleship of the found) among their own countrymen to worry about seeking other sheep elsewhere, and that the great commission was a command given only to the apostles, not to the modern church. It also appears that at least some Protestants downplayed the importance of missionary work precisely because the Roman Catholics were so involved in it: anything that Rome was doing was to them by definition suspect!

Other Protestants, including the Moravians (Lutherans) had challenged those notions in the past, but Carey, a Baptist of Calvinistic extraction, is considered the father of modern missions because the missionary movement that he began, against vehement opposition of the religious establishment of his day, was one that has been sustained, imitated, and replicated until this day. As an odd curiosity, however, the man who started the movement that resulted in such a rapid spread of Christianity and countless saved souls around the world only himself successfully baptized and evangelized a few converts.

However, one area where Carey was far more successful at was in translating the Bible! It is said that Carey had an obvious talent, a rare proficiency and inclination, for learning languages and doing translation work. You can even call it A GIFT. (For an idea of the source of this gift according to my estimation, read passages related to Exodus 28:3Exodus 31:3Exodus 35:31Numbers 24:2Judges 3:10 and similar.)  It is said that he translated the Bible, either completely or in part, in 35 different languages! That does not even include his attempt to make a book of translation of Sanskrit literature and a polyglot dictionary of Sanskrit and related languages, which would have been a huge contribution to the field of linguistics that would have been a great help to scholars in translation work to this day had the irreplaceable manuscripts not been destroyed in a fire. (As a side note, it is also said that the day that Carey finally baptized his first convert on the mission field, Krishna Pal, his wife was confined to her room as a result of having lost her mind!. Spiritual warfare is real people!)

So, this William Carey, a minister of the Particular Baptist movement of the Reformed Christian faith, in my estimation possessed a gift given by the Holy Spirit that was used to found the church in a place that it did exist by transferring the gospel of Jesus Christ and the Word of God from a tongue (language) unknown to the people in this area to a tongue that was known to them. It was an apostolic gift given to a man who filled an apostolic task. Perhaps the best evidence of this was Carey’s commitment to justice for the poor by opposing the caste system, especially by way of his daring decision to have his converts not obey the caste system (part of the Hindu religion), in particular by allowing two Christian converts from separate castes, a Sudra and a Brahmin, marry. To this day Christianity is growing fastest among the greatly oppressed and impoverished untouchable caste of India, a group called the Christian Dalits. (It is also interesting that Carey made the decision to model his missionary community somewhat after the Bible’s description of the communal living of the early Jerusalem church in Acts.)

So did William Carey exhibit the Holy Spirit sign gift in the area of tongues, especially their interpretation? Feel free to come to your own conclusion about the matter. But when you look at the videos below, you might be able to guess the direction that I am leaning in and why this is so.

Third Wave Pentecostalism And Why Miracles And Signs Exist

Posted by Job on August 11, 2008

I cannot say that I am surprised, because he also endorsed the Pensacola and Brownsville revivals and the Toronto Airport Christian fellowship, but Sid Roth is fully aligned with the third wave pentecostal movement in his endorsement of Todd Bentley. See this link on his website. Yep, Sid Roth is yet another one of the prosperity/Word of Faith teachers that I used to watch religiously and send money to. I continued to support Roth even after I began to turn away from the likes of the Crouch family, T. D. Jakes, etc. because I did not see where any of the discernment or apologetics ministries had addressed him. Also, I must admit that I hesitated because I personally believed in Roth’s ministry and especially his powerful testimony because it was so similar to my own! But I have to follow God rather than man, and that includes the desires of my own heart! Looking below, it appears that Roth has been supporting Bentley ever since at least 2007, because the fellow has at least 16 articles authored by Bentley on his website.

The Spirit of Infirmity, Part 2 (Bentley)

What is the third wave? Here is a fundamental Christian viewpoint:

1. Its History

In the early 1980s the Vineyard Christian Fellowship movement began with the ministry of John Wimber in California. He believed that people would become convinced of the genuineness of Christianity by seeing miraculous signs and wonders from God more than by being convinced doctrinally. He not only practiced this belief in the church he pastored, but he also teamed up with missions professor Peter Wagner to teach and encourage its practice in the Signs and Wonders class at Fuller Seminary. Others who emphasized these signs and wonders include Christian psychologist and speaker John White, former Dallas Seminary professor Jack Deere, and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School faculty member Wayne Grudem. Support for this emphasis has also come from the ministries of such recognized Christian leaders as John Piper.

2. Distinctive Views

The movement’s supporters come from various evangelical backgrounds and do not necessarily want to be identified with traditional man-centered Pentecostal views. Some, in fact, have strong Calvinistic convictions. But all stress the presence of genuine signs and wonders from God today. Tongues-speaking is not emphasized as much as in the more traditional Pentecostal groups, but healings and especially the gift of prophecy are very prominent.

D. Other Contemporary Charismatic Emphases

Also present in more recent years are the ministries of several others who have a strongly charismatic approach and emphasis. These include those who emphasize a “health and wealth” gospel; the ministries of charismatic teachers such as Benny Hinn, Kenneth Hagin, and Kenneth Copeland; and the current ministries of Oral and Richard Roberts, John Arnott and the Toronto Blessing, Paul Cain and the Kansas City Prophets, and Rodney Howard-Browne and John Kilpatrick of the Brownsville Assembly of God Church and the Pensacola Outpouring Revival.

For more, please see George Houghton’s part 1 and part 2 on the topic of Pentecostalism in general. I am aware that some have accused me of being opposed to the supernatural, of miracles. To answer those charges, read my testimonies part 1 and part 2 of miraculous faith healing from asthma, addiction, and a lung infection that doctors could not cure, killed several other people around the same time (including the actress that played the bride in “Meet The Parents”), and had stopped my breathing (I was minutes away from dying people). Also search my archives and take notice of how LEGITIMATE faith healing, miracles, and deliverance from evil spirits is a major area of attention of mine (regrettably I have gotten away from those topics in these past months and need to get back into them).

But I must say that I was motivated to finally deal with Sid Roth after seeing him promote a pastor who claims that during his worship services, angel feathers, gold dust, and precious jewels would appear out of thin air. The pastor was also selling a book – with companion DVD – claiming to have discovered in scripture the secret for unlocking the power of God in your life that he was using to bring forth these manifestations (it is humility). Let me first state that Christianity IS NOT a secret religion. It is based on revelation from the Bible that is freely available to all. People speaking of finding secrets and unlocking spiritual keys are actually practicing gnosticism, which is based on using gnosis (secret knowledge) to advance spiritually and attain salvation. Gnostics were syncretists who assimilated elements of virtually every religion and belief system of the time that suited them in order to create their own abominations. And no, the gnostics did not invent the notion of secret or magical spiritual keys or codes embedded in religious texts. That idea long predated them, coming from the ancient near east mystery religions and cults. Basically, gnosticism was a mixture of Christianity, Judaism, and western (especially Greek) mythology and philosophy, and who knows what else. So, the third wavers that are convinced that they are finding some new – or rediscovering some lost – way of reading the Bible and worshiping God through Jesus Christ under the Holy Spirit are actually just rehashing the same vile dark deceptions that John, Jude, Paul, etc. took up most of the New Testament contending against. So much of what we know about Christian doctrine and practice in the New Testament was not information volunteered at the author’s initiative, but rather came from an apostle writing an epistle to oppose some lie that people claiming to have secret knowledge or special revelation was passing around!

But the primary issue that must be dealt with is the erroneous fascination of third wave pentecostals on signs and wonders: miracles and revelation. The reason is that it is BACKWARDS. This fascination is due to faithlessness by the alleged faithful. If you truly believe nothing else in the Bible but Genesis 1:1, the idea that God can work a miracle should be presupposed, basic, nothing to get excited over. Why? Because it is merely God changing something in the natural realm that He created in the first place … very often things that would change anyway without a miracle! Further, not everyone who witnesses a miracle responds with faith. Case in point: the Pharisees. Despite all that Jesus Christ did, they kept telling Him “OK, just do one more miracle or give us one more sign and THEN we will believe that you are the Messiah.” The Pharisees were simply the spiritual descendants of the children of Israel who refused to enter Canaan after seeing God work the greatest miracles that the world had ever seen to crush the greatest empire of the world AND miraculously sustain them with food and water AND the glory of God on Sinai AND the rock that followed them AND the pillar of fire by night/cloud by day that guided them. What was the problem with those Israelites? Well the least favorite book of this movement, the Book of Hebrews (which says that revelation was completed and ended with Jesus Christ in its opening verses … or maybe 1 Corinthians with its denunciations of confusion and disorder in the church are the least favorite!) it is FAITHLESSNESS. If the basis of your Christian doctrine and affiliation is miracles and signs, trust me, it is never going to be enough, because just like a glutton with a piece of pie or a fornicator and sex partners or a greedy man and dollar bills, you will never be satisfied, you will always seek JUST ONE MORE no matter how much you have already had!

So, the FAITHFUL who know well and good that God can perform miracles on the natural order … we praise and glorify God over those things true, but those are not the things that we focus on, not the least because evil spirits can emulate those. Do not be offended! Evil spirits emulated several of the signs and wonders of YHWH in Egypt during their contest with Moses. People follow false religions for a reason! And the Bible itself says that the anti-Christ will deceive the whole world with his evil fantastic works, and that but for the grace of God even the very elect would be deceived by him also!

So no, those who truly believe in God are not after by angel feathers, gold dust, and jewels popping up out of thin air! We are not after new visions, revelations, and secrets. Why? The reason is that those things, while impressive to behold, have no lasting value. They are not the things that the kingdom of heaven is built on. So what true believers love to see and hear about are CHANGED HEARTS as evidenced by CHANGED BEHAVIOR. Unbelievers hearing the gospel and getting saved. People confessing their sins and turning from them rather than using their works, church membership, background, or “anointing” to justify remaining in them. People overcoming the grief of losing a loved one. People forgiving those that have done them grievously wrong. The fearful becoming bold, the haters becoming lovers. THAT is what Christians should seek after and try to participate in. And those are what we Christians should be after. For it is a certainty that demons can motivate tongues and private prayer languages. That goes on in Hindu temples all the time! I have no doubt that a demon can cure – or at least temporarily alleviate – physical ailments. Were that not the case witch doctors, rootworkers, medicine men and women, etc. would go out of business tomorrow. The same with the diviners, necromancers, fortune tellers, etc. People have been seeking out mighty wonders, strange works, new revelations, etc. ever since man rejected the knowledge of God as Paul told us in Romans 1:18-32 for a reason! Not a few missionaries can relate dark spiritual happenings involving the demons that work through those false religions that would curl your hair even if you were bald! Check out “And The Word Came With Power” by missionary Jo Anne Shetler if you doubt. But an evil spirit cannot save someone’s soul or change their heart! So why put all the emphasis on the things that Satan can imitate while ignoring the things that he cannot? I don’t know about you, but while hearing testimonies about people delivered from asthma personally touch me because I was healed of the same, what I really love hearing about is testimonies of God delivering them from selfishness, hate, pride, lying, meanness, sloth, lust, and irresponsibility, for those character flaws and many more I had them, and let me tell you they were much more destructive to me and those around me than my asthma was!

So then, why DO miracles and revelation occur? Why does God work them? Let me start with my own personal testimony and go from there: God healed my body as part of His plan to draw me to Him and save me from my sins. And that corresponds to the Biblical record. God was not some two bit Las Vegas entertainer performing tricks for the ooohs and aaahs of alcoholics, adulterers, and gamblers. Some say every miracle, every revelation, every prophecy regarded in the Bible played a part in salvation – redemption history, a rough English translation for the German term Heilsgeschichte, God’s plan to redeem mankind from His sin. Others take a broader view and say that it was part of God’s plan to reveal Himself to mankind, with the ultimate and final revelation being His Son Jesus Christ. So, God parting the Red Sea was a salvation – historic act to deliver Israel, His elect nation that He planned to use to be a light to all nations and use to incarnate Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ’s healing the Gentile woman’s daughter in Matthew 15:21-28 was an act of revealing both God’s love and mercy to mankind. Peter’s vision while on the tanner’s rooftop was God letting the Jews know that Jesus Christ came to bring salvation to the Gentiles as well as the Jews. You want to know about the importance of the floating axhead? Well try this link. Ultimately, God had a higher purpose for every miracle, every prophecy, every vision in the Bible. They were not done because people like to see visions. They were done to reveal Himself to sinful men living in a sinful world so that His chosen among them would turn to Him.

The main thing to remember, third wave charismatics, is that the Bible makes it clear that everyone who works mighty works even in the Name of Jesus Christ will be saved. See Matthew 7:21-23! The Bible even makes it clear that everyone who receives a miracle in the Name of Jesus Christ will be saved! Remember the ten lepers! They all had faith to be healed by Jesus Christ. They were all healed by Jesus Christ. BUT ONLY ONE LEPER BOTHERED TO FALL AT THE FEET OF GOD AND GIVE HIM THANKS! Are you going to allege that a person who is not thankful for the work and person of Jesus Christ is going to be saved by Him? And let me tell you about the one … HE WAS A GENTILE! Let me tell you about the nine … THEY WERE JEWS! Do not misunderstand me, I am not going anti – Semite on you here. Just let me put it into the context. The Jews were in it for the miracle, the Gentile was in it for the God who worked the miracle! So, the Jews in it for the miracle in this story represent church folk who continually need to see signs and wonders to have some semblance of outward faith. In other words: THIRD WAVE CHARISMATICS AND ALL LIKE THEM WHO WILL ABANDON TWO THOUSAND YEARS OF SOUND DOCTRINE BASED ON THE BIBLE TO FOLLOW EMMA THE ANGEL AND SOME MAN WHO KICKS A STOMACH CANCER PATIENT IN THE GUT AND THE GUY DOES NOT EVEN GET HEALED! But Gentile in this story represents the person not in the church who repents and follows Jesus Christ not because they were looking for a miracle, but because they were seeking the God that works the miracle!

And guess what? At the beginning of the leper story, all ten were unsaved. Both groups were all in the same boat. But by the end of the story, only one group was saved, and the other group was unsaved. Can you guess based not on my words but on your knowledge of the Bible which group was saved and which group wasn’t? And after you do that, apply that Sunday school Bible story to your own life situation and ask yourself which group YOU are in!

“Verified” Lakeland Resurrection from the Dead was a Lie

Thanks to poster ’Arise My Love’ for pointing this video out here

From 6.20 minutes onwards on the video explains how the Fresh Fires Ministries passed through their ‘audit’ process an email, and Todd Bentley read out this same email of an alleged raising from the dead, without even attempting to check out any of the facts, let alone verifying them.

Update 17th July: despite explictly being told the story was false, they haven’t retracted this story from their website or verbally.

Washington DC Pro – Homosexual Episcopal Leader Calls Biblical Christians Demonic!

Posted by Job on July 17, 2008

Normally liberal Christians like the Episcopals do not even acknowledge that demons exist. They have totally despiritualized their interpretation of the Bible, claiming that accounts of demonic possessions were actually mental or physical diseases, and that Jesus Christ’s healing accounts were allegories. They also claim that other things in the Bible referring to good, evil, final judgment, etc. merely speak of social, political, and economic conditions. But now you see what takes them out of their mold. Last year a prominent Christian liberal – and a hateful critic of Biblical Christians – who previously denied the existence of sin or God’s judgment decided that JUST MAYBE global warming was God’s wrath being poured out against big business. So he modified his position that there was no sin and no judgment to say “well I guess sin and judgment exist after all FOR THE RICH.” And now you have this guy, who attributes opposition to homosexuality to evil spirits. This really shows how angry and vicious these people are getting against those that oppose the sin of homosexuality. They have really gotten to the point where they have decided that even having civil discussions with those that disagree is impossible. According to them, people that oppose homosexuality are not only wrong but evil, and not worthy of any consideration save what it takes to ban, censure, and punish them. I have to tell you, once gay marriage becomes legal and hate crimes laws are enacted, opposition to homosexuality will rapidly become an untenable position for anyone to hold in respectable mainstream society. The reason is that government, media, and the elite universities have become so powerful that rather than responding to and reflecting the needs and the will of the people, they lead on virtually every issue and people just follow. And yes, this includes the church. Again, I do not like to use this term that I see on the websites of some of my more bold Christian brothers, but with regard to following whatever is popular and acceptable in mainstream culture, many Christians have in fact become “SHEEPLE.” The reason is that Christianity has now become just another product that you can buy, sell, and COMPARISON SHOP, and you can have it either buffet, a la carte, fast food, gourmet, stir – fried, or even sushied. I am not saying that most evangelical churches will become pro – homosexual the instant President John McCain signs San Francisco Democrat Nancy Pelosi’s hate crimes bill and his veto of the Defense of Marriage Act. No, evangelicalism will do as they have done everything else as it has become inconvenient in the public sphere: THEY WILL STOP TALKING ABOUT IT! Case in point: I have a book from the “Counterpoints” series where prominent theologians debate an issue whose subject was the lake of fire (or hell). All of the theologians agreed that evangelical pastors had ceased talking about the subject, and that when the publishers of the book were looking for someone to represent the orthodox Biblical doctrine on the matter, NO ONE WANTED TO DO IT! The only one willing to step up and do so was a single very old (and indeed since passed away) Baptist preacher and former seminary president. And when was this book published? 1994! Almost 15 years ago! So 15 years ago you had all of these political evangelical leaders more than willing to publicly criticize Bill Clinton’s adultery before the TV cameras, but none who were willing to preach about the lake of fire before their own congregations. So 15 years from now, how many leading conservative pastors will be willing to speak out against homosexuality? My guess is that you will ask them, and they will shift uncomfortably, avert their eyes, and reply “the Bible and Christian tradition are clear on such matters” and let that be that! And yes, the reason why they will take that approach is because they don’t want to endure the sort of things said against them contained in the link below. And please do not think that I am just some homophobic bashing homosexuals. The REAL issue here, the REAL stakes, is the inerrancy and authority of scripture. THAT is what John Chane was speaking of.

I think it’s really very dangerous when someone stands up and says: ‘I have the way and I have the truth and I know how to interpret holy scripture and you are following what is the right way,'” he said “It’s really very, very dangerous and I think it’s demonic. The Episcopal church has been demonised. It has been a punching bag, and I’m sick of being a punching bag as a bishop and I’m sick of my church, my province being a punching bag.”

What this fellow is saying is that insisting on a particular interpretation of scripture is evil, because in his view scripture should have no authority over the church. The church can use whatever verses that it finds convenient to reinforce their philosophical platitudes, but that is it. So, the view is going to soon be that declaring the Bible to be the unique and final revelation of God to man is evil and dangerous. And guess what? The “third wave” charismatics led by Todd Bentley agree. This neo – Montanist sect (which incidentally has totally rejected the piety of the original Montanists) are trying their best to instigate a civil war between sola scriptura Christians and those who believe in continuous revelation. Why? Sola scriptura in their demon and confusion addled minds will hinder the worldwide revival that will fulfill the great commission and cause the rapture (clue pre – tribulation dispensationalism). In other words, they are trying to fulfill the ambitions of their founder William Seymour of Azusa Street. And who do these folks have on their side? Why, the “Jesus Christ had to be born again” and “if you want to see God look in the mirror” Word of Faith/prosperity people! Fred Price, whose newest title sequence proudly proclaims that he was the ORIGINAL Word of Faith/prosperity teacher before all of these “new school” guys like TD Jakes, Joel Osteen, Paula White, and Joyce Meyer came out and started stealing his thunder, has been anointed as an APOSTLE by Todd Bentley. That link is from Soli Deo Gloria. PJ Miller is sola scriptura, too, so he is one of the people that these new wave Pentecostals, the Word of Faith/prosperity people, and the liberal Christians are at the moment going after because of his fidelity to the truth, infallibility, and final authority of scripture. But Psalm 1 talks about what is going to happen to those people! Pay particular attention to verse 5! Oh yes, and don’t forget about Psalm 2! The mighty day of the Lord is coming, and on that day it will clearly be revealed who is on the Lord’s side. Those who are NOT on the Lord’s side will not only be the ones who reject His Son through His Word AND those who CLAIM to accept it BUT WILL NOT PUBLICLY DEFEND IT. Are you a sheep or are you SHEEPLE? TODAY is the time to take your stand, because I have to tell you, tomorrow is not promised to you! And this is not to defend Omar Khadr (other than to point out that he clearly should have been treated according to the Geneva Convention) but I cannot help but thinking that the data that the government is using on him and all of the rest of their Guantanamo Bay human guinea pigs, doing all of these tests on them to learn about the human mind and gain all sorts of “valuable data”, is going to be used on Biblical Christians one day. Well, Christians, if you won’t open your mouth in defense of the faith today, you won’t be able to stand up to torture like this tomorrow.

Why Does J. Lee Grady Of Charisma Magazine Want To AVOID A Charismatic War?

Posted by Job on July 9, 2008

I am going to quote Grady’s post in full below because it looks like when he puts a new entry up it overlays the previous one.

Some leaders say the controversial Lakeland Revival is forcing us to choose sides. But I don’t believe God wants to split our movement.

It’s been more than 10 years since charismatic prophet Rick Joyner predicted in his popular bookThe Final Quest that believers would experience a Civil War in the church. Joyner’s book, based on a series of visions he says God showed him, describes in graphic detail a turbulent conflict that redefines Christianity as we know it.

Other charismatic leaders have echoed this theme since Joyner’s book was published in 1996. They have predicted that our movement will be divided between “Blues” (those who constantly live in the supernatural realm of dreams, visions and miracles) and “Grays” (those who rely more on their intellect), and that the Blues will win and usher in true revival as champions of the Holy Spirit’s power.

Even in early 2008, before the Lakeland Revival erupted in Florida in April, some charismatic prophets were declaring that a great rift would divide those who believe in “the glory realm” and those who have a more conservative, left-brained approach to their faith. When God TV began its nightly broadcasts of evangelist Todd Bentley’s healing meetings in Lakeland, the Civil War prophecies reappeared overnight on hundreds of blogs and e-mail blasts.
“Jesus prayed that we would be one. There is no record of Him praying that we would split over doctrine.”

I’ll admit I was not paying too much attention to these Civil War predictions 10 years ago. But I was jolted into reality in May after I wrote an online column in which I raised honest questions about some of Bentley’s teachings and techniques. Even though I celebrated his passion and zeal, and praised God for the healings that were reported in Lakeland, I was immediately branded a revival critic and banished to the Gray camp.

I became the bad guy because, by asking questions, I was “relying on my intellect.” To those in the Blue camp, my skepticism made me an enemy of the Holy Spirit and all things supernatural—even though I believe that all the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit are for today!

I tried to laugh this off at first. Surely, I imagined, my Christian brothers and sisters do not really think it is wrong for a Spirit-filled believer to test the spirits (which we are instructed to do in 1 John 4:1), discern truth (see 2 Pet. 3:17) or evaluate prophecies and angelic encounters (see 1 Cor. 14:29, Gal. 1:6-8).

But now I realize that some people really want a war. They want the charismatic movement to split right down the middle. They imply that all those who do not embrace 100 percent of the current movement in Lakeland are “old wineskins” that cannot be used by God in the coming revival.

I can’t even describe how much this hurts because I love people on both sides of this conflict. I love the Blues and the Grays, along with every other color in the body of Christ. I refuse to believe that God is trying to split us. Division is the devil’s work.

I want to plead with everyone in our movement to reconsider the whole Civil War scenario. Instead of rattling sabers and stockpiling gunpowder, maybe we need to take steps in the opposite direction:

1. Let’s accept one another. The apostle Paul rebuked the Corinthians because they exalted certain gifts above others. He reminded them that every member of the body of Christ plays an important role, and that no individual part—whether eye, hand or foot—functions on its own. He rebuked this elitist attitude “so that there may be no division in the body” (1 Cor. 12:25, NASB).

Most of us already acknowledge the importance of supernatural gifts of healing, prophecy, tongues and other demonstrations of God’s power. But in our zeal to recover these gifts, let’s not isolate those whose primary functions may be mercy, giving to the poor, teaching or intercession. We should cherish every spiritual gift—not just the sensational or the exotic.

2. Let’s admonish one another. Christians have not always been the best models of conflict resolution. When tension gets high we either avoid it (usually by saying nothing and hoping the problems go away) or we overreact (by childishly picking up our marbles and playing somewhere else). But the Bible tells us to work things out in eyeball-to-eyeball confrontation.

In the case of Lakeland, there are some doctrines and methods that have come under intense scrutiny. Heresy hunters are having a field day as they toss their grenades and label everything in Lakeland demonic. But because I embrace Todd Bentley as my brother in Christ, I must take a higher road even if I don’t agree with his prayer methods or his claims regarding angels. Anything I say, even if it is corrective, must be said in love (see Eph. 4:15).

Thankfully a group of leaders from various charismatic camps (both “Blues” and “Grays”!) are discussing the contentious issues surrounding Lakeland—and biblical confrontation is occurring. I trust this process will result in correction where it’s needed, apologies when necessary and more humility on all sides of the debate.

3. Let’s pray for one another (see James 5:16). Jesus prayed that we would be one. There is no record of Him praying that we would split over doctrine. So why in the world would any of us hope for a Civil War?

Please pray for Bentley—and for the leaders who are speaking into his life during this season. And pray that the church will not only experience genuine spiritual revival but also true unity. Let’s work out our differences, support one another’s ministries and focus all our efforts on one common goal: To tell a lost world about the love of Jesus.

 J. Lee Grady is editor of Charisma.

People, this is how detached from reality we often get as Christians. First of all, the problems with Pentecostal and charismatic Christianity did not begin with Todd Bentley, and it won’t end with him. Look, there isn’t anything that Bentley is doing now that people like Benny Hinn haven’t been doing for DECADES. Second, the Crouch family has a global television network. Hello! Third, you have TONS of charismatic and Pentecostal movements in Asia, Latin America, and Africa that are syncretizing Christianity with local animist and pagan religions. Fourth, you have charismatic and Pentecostal Christians in the west that are going ever so closer to joining up with the Roman Catholic Church. (And speaking of the Crouches, they are paving the way for African and Arabic charismatics to join up with Islam, and the Roman Catholics are working on joining up with Muslims as well so that is a strange east – west thing going on there coordinated by the Vatican.) Fifth, you have the massive broad apostasy in the Word of Faith movement that asserts the deity of man while marginalizing or outright denying the deity of God. Sixth, there are the charismatics involved with the Center for National Policy and Council on Foreign Relations that are using their doctrines to ready the Christian world to support the new world order of anti – Christ globalism. So yes indeed, Todd Bentley is just a small part of what is going on, which is why I have not dedicated any real attention to him.

Now I respect Grady as being a sincere fellow who wants Pentecostalism to be biblically based, and uses his forum to fight that battle. But he seems not to understand that with all of the documented heretical movements – to speak nothing of the scandals – that have dogged the Pentecostal movement FROM ITS VERY BEGINNING, choosing to go ahead and fight some battles so that you can separate the offenders (that is true Christians that are rejected by the world) from the pretenders before the world. This gives Grady an excellent opportunity to follow the example of Moses in Exodus 32:26 and say “Who is on the LORD’s side? let him come unto me!” We Christians need to see who are the Levites are that will stand up and be saved, versus those who will not: the bull worshipers are that will either outright support the apostasy, and who are the fence sitters that will watch the battle hoping to join the side of the winner.

By using his position of influence to make this call, Grady can A) identify himself as being on the Lord’s side and B) make it publicly known that there are leading charismatics that care about sound doctrine and right practice. B) is particularly important because the born again charismatics need to know that there are good Christians in their movement whose fellowships they can join and pastors they can follow. But saying things like “But I don’t believe God wants to split our movement” … first of all if the charismatic movement is real it is God’s movement and not his, and a plain reading of the Bible knows that God WANTS apostates driven from His church. Second, his saying “I don’t believe God wants” … what, he isn’t SURE? He hasn’t received a revelation from the Holy Spirit? He doesn’t have a clear understanding from reading the Bible on what do do? If either is the case, then why speak? Why not be silent until he is sure that he is speaking for God and God is speaking through him lest the words that he speaks reflect the desires of his own flesh (or the desires of Satan as it were, and since Satan is the prince of this world the desires of the natural man and the desires of Satan are going to line up more often than not).

I have to say that a great deal of Grady’s column seems to be straight from “the church of judge not” and the chapel of “touch not mine anointed and do my prophet no harm.” (All he lacks is a “sex sells especially in the church” reference and a “John Hagee slaughter every Muslim man and woman and rip up all their women with child so Jesus can come back” speech to make him 4 for 4.) I mean, his saying that we should pray for these false preachers … Grady is perfectly aware that the Bible says that we are not so much as bid apostate preachers God speed!

So what is his agenda? I honestly wonder if Grady fears that a split in the Pentecostal movement would be bad press, and harm the group’s respectability in the eyes of the public and respectability in the Christian community, and Grady is willing to abide the doctrines and practices of a bunch of neo – gnostics, spiritists, and occultists just to keep his movement respectable and influential. If that is the case, then the call “who is on the Lord’s side, let him come to me” has already been made, and Grady has already chosen his side.

Todd Bentley Caught On Tape Committing Assault

Video of Todd Bentley Assaulting a Man.

by @ 1:58 am. Filed under Nuts on Parade

Some guy with tats and piercings all over beats some guy on stage and they claim it’s the “healing” power of God. This man talks about demons, when he’s the one who really is working in the demonic.

Check out this video.

(Hat tip Battle 4 Truth.)

And the Word of God says:

2 Corinthians 11:13-20 (New American Standard Bible)

13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.

14 No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.

15 Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds.

16 Again I say, let no one think me foolish; but if you do, receive me even as foolish, so that I also may boast a little.

17 What I am saying, I am not saying as the Lord would, but as in foolishness, in this confidence of boasting.

18 Since many boast according to the flesh, I will boast also.

19 For you, being so wise, tolerate the foolish gladly.

20 For you tolerate it if anyone enslaves you, anyone devours you, anyone takes advantage of you, anyone exalts himself, anyone hits you in the face.

This ungodly demonic mess Todd Bentley is doing is nothing new and it appears after nearly thousands of years nothing has been learned and people still run after these false apostles. Being beaten and devoured and still falsely calling it a move of God.
