The Twelve Songs Of Revelation

Posted by Job on April 4, 2011

Please study and meditate on these passages from the book of Revelation, and allow them to influence and inform your private praise and worship time.

1. 4:8

And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, LORD God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

2. 4:11

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

3. 5:9-10

And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

4. 5:12

Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

5. 5:13

And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

6. 6:1

And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.

7. 7:10

And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

8. 7:12

Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

9. 11:15

And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

10. 11:17-18

Saying, We give thee thanks, O LORD God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

11. 15:3-4

And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

12. 19:1-8

And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. And again they said, Alleluia And her smoke rose up for ever and ever. And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia. And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

If you wish to participate in this worship and praise truly and effectively, and also continue in this praise for eternity (as opposed to being banished to the lake of fire, where for all eternity there will be no worship or praise, but only great anguish, torment and sorrow) then repent of your sins and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ alone for your salvation! To do so, follow the instructions below.

Immanuel: Jesus Christ Is Here!

Posted by Job on September 25, 2009

I was having something of a difficult time this morning. Fatigue, stress, uncertainty, fear, finances and so forth. Plus the world that we live in is in such turmoil. Right now, my hometown is experiencing flooding that has killed several people and left many more without homes, and still more rainfall is on the way. (Ironically, this region recently emerged from a historic drought.) There is also a massive violent crime wave in this city and nation that not only refuses to spare children – even babies – but actually seems to be targeting them. Also, the evil one and his agents keep attempting to buffet my mind to provoke irrational feelings of hate, anger, and resentment against people, feelings that had no cause, justification or basis whatsoever and were thoroughly sinful. Keeping my mind holy and pure this morning, even simple choices such as resisting the fast food breakfast despite knowing that I am A) on a budget, B) on a diet and C) fast food frequently makes me physically ill, was a battle.

And then I began thinking of Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior of all who believe in Him and abide in Him by keeping His commandments! I remembered that I am part of the church, which is the Body of Jesus Christ. The Bible declares the church as the Body of Christ to be a fact (1 Corinthians 12:27Ephesians 3:6, Ephesians 5:23, Romans 12:5). This is not something that the Bible only declares to be true in a mystical, magical, typological or a metaphorical/ allegorical manner, but declares it to be true in the same way that creation, the flood, the exodus, the exile, the incarnation, death on the cross, resurrection, ascension, and the second coming are declared to be true.

Then my thoughts switched to anthropology: what is a person? According to the Bible, a living person is considered to be the union of  a body and a spirit (Genesis 2:7, Ecclesiastes 3:19-21). Again, the church is the Body of Christ, and is unquestionably alive now and forevermore just as Jesus Christ is the same. And the Body of Christ is united with the Holy Spirit, which is the Spirit of this same Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9, 1 Peter 2:5, John 14:16-17, 1 Corinthians 3:16). So if the church is the Body of Christ and it is indwelt by the Spirit of Christ and has as its head Jesus Christ (this same Head which will literally physically bodily return one day and judge the quick and the dead Acts 1:11, Revelation 19-20) then most surely and truly God is with the church while we yet remain on the earth! Emmanuel: God with us (Matthew 1:23)!

God will never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5), He will never leave lacking strength or reassurance (John 14:17-19) and in our times of sorrow, trial and tribulation He will never give us more than what we can bear, but will instead give us a way out (1 Corinthians 10:13). Even when we sin, our Lord Jesus Christ does not abandon us, but forgives us if we confess our sins and turn away from them (1 John 1:9), and He does not do this haphazardly, arbitrarily or capriciously but justly and faithfully.

What a mighty God we serve. What a mighty God we love. What a mighty God we know. And what a mighty God is with us. Praise be to God! Glory be to God! And thanks be to God!

If you are not in the Body of Jesus Christ, or even if you are unsure, and wish to be in communion with Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and partake of this beautiful, excellent perfect and eternal fellowship, follow the Three Step Salvation Plan below.

Was Acts 4:24-31 A Prayer For The Apostolic Period Only Or Is The Prayer Still Valid Now?

Posted by Job on February 15, 2009

I say that this passage is a prayer for now and should be said in this time in the interests of spreading the gospel to lands and people unreached. What is your opinion? Acts 4:24-31

And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:

Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?

The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.

For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,

For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

This would be an excellent prayer to repeat on behalf of our brothers and sisters in persecution in Muslim, Hindu, and communist lands!
