A Fundamentalist Or Conservative Evangelical Treatment Of The Racism Issue Is Needed

Posted by Job on July 19, 2010

I admit to being generally skeptical of common popular approach to theology (i.e. a one that attempts to address “issues and concerns”) and prefer instead to rely on exegesis, exposition, application and the wisdom of Bible-believing Christians that have run the race for us. However, some current events have me thinking that perhaps it is time for theologically conservative Christians (by this I mean fundamentalists and conservative evangelicals, or “Bible-believing Christians) need to come up with a Biblical approach to the racism issue. These events include:

Now, for reasons that I will not get into because they are not particularly relevant to the topic at hand, I believe that A) Obama will win re-election and B) the economy will continue to be bad, including possibly a “double-dip” recession. That means that it is very possible race will be a point of division in our country for years to come, and that it will affect a Bible-believing American Christian community in which many blacks will continue to foolishly support Obama and many whites will continue to foolishly support the Republicans. (Similar to A. and B. above, my personal views that Bible-believing Christians have no business supporting Republicans or Democrats is beyond the scope of this topic, other than the point out the obvious fact that both parties indulge in race-baiting.) Thus, it may be in the interests of the Body of Christ for a Bible-based approach to the racism issue to be promoted and defended from our pulpits, in our media outlets, and in our educational institutions during the next few years, and possibly beyond.

But the problem is that it appears that no such program or approach exists. This is not to say that the racism issue has not been addressed in the church arena. The problem is that nearly all of the deep, broad substantial treatments of the topic by those opposed to racism have come from churches and religious movements that can fairly be described as apostate. The “Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.” approach to race is one entirely rooted in liberal theology. It is deceiving, because the language of orthodoxy is used, and so are such time-honored Christian instruments as prayer, fasting, singing, preaching and quoting scripture. However, look a little deeper and you will see that the “Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.” approach is one that denies and rejects a Biblical view of sin. It consciously rejects what the Bible states concerning both original sin that is collective and common to humanity, and the sin nature that afflicts each individual. Liberal theology – and Barack Obama/Jeremiah Wright liberation theology even more so – goes on to deny that both collective sin and individual sin were dealt with by Jesus Christ’s atoning death and resurrection (doctrines that were rejected by Martin Luther King, Jr., as was the virgin birth), and that freedom from sins, including but not limited to racism, comes to members of the Body of Christ only through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Further, that even after salvation through faith occurs, one will struggle with sins – again including racism – because of the influence of “the flesh”, “the old man”, “the body of death”, but that if we are truly penitent and confess, Jesus Christ can be faithfully counted on to forgive our sins. And finally, the ultimate victory over racism, both in a collective original sin of the human condition sense and in a personal individual sense, will only occur when Jesus Christ returns and sets up the eternal kingdom of New Jerusalem for believers, when all believers receive their mansion/place/room in His Father’s house (again all doctrines which liberal and liberation theology Christians reject and deny).

Instead, liberal and liberation theology treats racism not as what the Bible calls sin, but as a social ill or condition. Thus, the Biblical truth that until Jesus Christ returns, racism cannot be eliminated on a large scale, such as in a larger society of unregenerate people, is rejected by them. So is the truth that racism can only be dealt with in the individual believer and in a church comprised of believers by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Instead, such people believe that racism can be defeated in the individual with education, and in a society by changing laws, economic and social conditions. That is why the SCLC, NAACP, Rainbow/PUSH and the other alphabet-soup assortment of civil rights groups often led by ministers like Dr. King, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and similar never attempted and do not attempt to battle racism by encouraging racists to repent of their sins and believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Instead, they rely on the same methods as secular organizations:  educational programs, lawsuits and political campaigns. Though they rarely come out and openly admit it, such people believe that the “root cause” of racism is capitalism. In their mind, capitalism is either racism’s cause or its primary enabler.  Therefore, socialism is the ultimate solution to racism in their estimation. They do not claim that socialism would completely end racism and transform the national – and world – society into a post-racial utopia, but they do assert that socialism would render racism as a nonfactor by removing (in their minds) what is primarily responsible for fomenting racial tension and rewarding racist behavior.  In other words, it is not so much that they claim that socialism will change racists hearts, but that it will remove most reasons and opportunities for racist hearts to act, turning racism from appearing sensible and potentially lucrative to being a pointless waste of time. And the true goal of the “anti-racist education programs” that are offered – thanks to the work of pressure groups – in schools, churches and workplaces are actually geared towards getting more people to support socialism – or at least liberal politicians who enact them – than fighting racism. Example: they manipulate people into experiencing white guilt or black anger that is supposed to translate into … well you figure it out. (Please note the extreme irony that the religious right, while purporting to represent the opposite end of the theological spectrum, has resorted to the same tactics as the civil rights movement of the theological left, and also how the religious right often promotes capitalism as the cure for social ills.)

Now of course, the problem is not truly the lies of the enemy as they relate to racism. Quite simply, the enemy lies about everything. Instead, it is the lack of response from Bible-believers. Where liberal Christians have decades of doctrines and actions on the race issue, Bible-believing Christians have … well nothing comparable. Or should I say if it exists, it was often in the form of defending of segregation and slavery in times past, and now often absorbs the racial rhetoric and thinking of conservative leaders and opinion-makers who are not Christians i.e. the aforementioned Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh. To make matters worse, when Bible-believing Christians attempt to address race in a “positive” way, they normally use the constructs provided by liberal Christianity. This is generally by default – because thanks to the media and the educational system it is all they know – and also because no other “positive” way of attempting to address race has been consistently articulated and applied on a large scale. As a result, many – indeed most – fundamentalist and conservative evangelical black churches fully endorse the “Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.” program on race, and so do not a few well-meaning theologically conservative white pastors and congregations.  The result is that race issue is used to get non-Biblical doctrines about sin, human nature and redemption into otherwise doctrinally sound churches, and the resulting confusion is used to slowly get these churches and pastors away from Biblical truth in other areas as well. I may be exaggerating were I to say “first racism, then creation care environmentalism, then supporting abortion and homosexual marriage”, but it would be only an exaggeration. A better illustration is this: before the civil rights movement, there were lots of doctrinally sound evangelical and fundamental black churches, including some entire black denominations dedicated to strong, Bible-based belief and practice. Well, take a look around and see what has happened to these churches – and especially the denominations – since. An entire book has been written on the topic.

So why deal with the racism issue at all in Bible-based Christianity? For the same reason that we deal with homosexuality, abortion, pornography, laziness, theft, adultery, murder, false religions etc.: because it is sin. We are to love God with all our heart, soul and strength and also to love our neighbor. So, we must address racism first because it is a sin that offends and dishonors God, and second because of the negative effect that it has on our neighbor. So, the problem is not the church’s addressing racism, but that it addresses it with liberal theology created by apostates and unbelievers walking in darkness. So, if we ignore the issue we ignore sin, and if we use liberal or liberation theology to address the issue, then those who are walking in the light of Jesus Christ are ignoring that light to follow those who do not have that light and are in the darkness of sin.

Now there has been some excellent treatments of this issue from black preachers over the years. Unfortunately, the civil rights rhetoric has long overtaken it, and these wise words have largely been forgotten. So, what informed, Biblical guidance do black people have to rely on when they experience the sin of racism committed against them? (Allow me to state that the reaction made popular and acceptable by civil rights community, which is “righteous” indignation, an aggrieved posture, and actions and attitude proceeding from them, are generally sinful.) And how are black people to respond to the racism – which does include anger, resentment and defense mechanisms that results from exposure to white racism – that exists in the heart of black people other than with the same repentance, confession, contrition, and reliance on Jesus Christ that is expected of white people? And yes, black people must acknowledge that the civil rights agenda of addressing racism through education, court decisions, laws, and changes to our political, economic, social and cultural systems is doomed to fail. Eliminating Jim Crow – which was unconstitutional anyway – is one thing. Changing the hearts of a mostly unregenerate population is another. Any pastor or church that teaches otherwise is acting in open defiance against the Bible, and such doctrines and the pastors and churches who teach them should be rejected just the same as should those who claim salvation by works, that homosexuality is not a sin, or that there is no Trinity should be. If we don’t accept liberal false doctrines in other areas, why should we when it comes to racism? And yes, the issue of why more blacks won’t join predominantly white churches needs to be addressed, even if it means enduring and overcoming racism. If blacks are willing to confront and overcome racism to attend mostly white schools and colleges and earn a living on mostly white workplaces, why can’t the same be done in attending mostly white churches? I dare say that this may indicate that blacks place a higher priority on getting an education and earning a living than going to church, because blacks are more willing to overcome obstacles in pursuing the first two than the last one. What you fight for is often an indication of where your heart is, and if you are willing to endure discrimination at a job that you know is worldly but not at the church were God calls you to forgive your brothers and sisters and bear their faults just as Christ bears ours, then that constitutes evidence that your heart is more willing to sacrifice for mammon than for Christ’s Body.

As far as white Bible-believing Christians go … the first step is probably severing political conservatism from theological conservatism on the race issue. (Actually, it is a good idea to do that on far more issues than race.) The reason is that the politically conservative position on race basically amounts to the notion that blacks should make all the sacrifices because blacks benefit far more from being in the presence of whites than any harm from racism. It follows from there that since whites receive no real benefits from having blacks in their presence, whites should make no sacrifices at all. Now not only is this illegal in a secular sense, but this type of thinking has no business in the church. Neither should Bible-believing white Christians emulate the apostates on the left by proposing political or economic solutions (i.e. tax cuts, free markets) for what is a spiritual problem. If socialism can’t change hearts or address sin, neither can political conservatism.

As to why theologically conservative white Christians don’t address this issue, there are no good answers. I propose the first is because racism doesn’t appear to negatively affect them personally. So, the issue is “out of sight, out of mind.” The second is likely because of the racist and segregationist history of a lot of denominations, churches and leaders. This is not an issue for the formerly racist Christian entities that have adopted liberal theology, because apparently once you reject the Bible and particularly once you join the left politically and take part in the (destined to fail) attempt to eliminate racism through enacting socialism, all is forgiven. But for those churches and denominations that remain faithful to the Bible, it is a tough situation. Even calling racism and discrimination sinful is mighty difficult, because it would mean that a lot of beloved Christian leaders (and followers) were sinners. To better understand the problem: imagine if the pastor that started your church, the group that founded your denomination or one of your favorite pastor/theologian/evangelist were branded an adulterer. (And also consider that there is a much bigger stigma in our modern society with being considered a racist than an adulterer.)

So, it is understandable that people who attended a seminary that may have been started to support segregation would want to let sleeping dogs lie. Still, how can white pastors, churches and institutions address this issue in more productive – and effective – ways than Bob Jones University’s decision to offer scholarships for “minority students”? (While I think that getting more black students into theologically conservative seminaries is something that absolutely must be done, this is another example of “the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr./racism is caused by capitalism and can be solved with socialism” approach.) Also, it simply is inappropriate to have pastors in racially homogenous churches in Dubuque, Iowa and Bismark, North Dakota to talk about racism all the time. Other things such as efforts to partner black churches with white ones, and also recruiting drives for black members have been tried before with disappointing results, and often do not address the real reasons why blacks do not fellowship with whites in the first place, a fact which truthfully has to do with black resentment against whites as much or more than white racism, and this is compounded by the erroneous thinking by so many blacks (that again are the results of decades of “civil rights movement thinking”) that A) maintaining black institutions for the purposes of using them for political and social agitation is Biblical and necessary and B) it is fine for blacks to nurse and maintain grievances against whites but not the other way around. Again, the arguments for the existence of BET, the Black Miss America pageant, black colleges, Ebony/Jet/Essence Magazines etc. knowing full well that white counterparts would never be tolerated may be fine for the secular arena but have no place in the Body of Christ, and this is a position that white pastors and theologians must boldly take and adhere to. If this means placing the responsibility for ending the fact that “Sunday morning is the most segregated time in America” primarily or disproportionately on blacks, then so be it. Again, the fact that blacks are more than willing to work for white owned and run corporations like BP, IBM, Coca-Cola etc. and attend Harvard, UCLA and Ole Miss while seeking lucre  but won’t do the same when choosing churches leaves them without excuse.

However, the primary area of involvement for white Bible-believing Christians (other than, of course, door-to-door evangelism among blacks) may be in the academy. The liberal and liberation theology people have produced volumes of scholarly work – from technical journal articles to books approachable by general audiences – on the race issue. By contrast, Bible-believing Christians have produced very little that can be used to guide people seeking a sound approach in doctrine and practice on the issue. Further, most of what does exist either attempts to shoehorn the liberal approach into Bible-believing contexts, or relates to cross-cultural missions. As racism is a sin that is manipulated to lead so many Christians – black and white – into errors in doctrine and practice, this situation cannot persist. There must be a well-developed line of discourse as well as practical strategies for confronting the race issue in theologically conservative Christianity just as there is on areas like homosexuality, abortion and feminism. Why should white theologians take the lead? There are several reasons, but the primary one is that for blacks the tendency to adhere to and defend the civil rights mindset is strong. (For example, even in conservative evangelical or fundamentalist Christianity, finding the black pastor that is willing to discuss the theological beliefs of most civil rights leaders, acknowledge that the “civil disobedience” tactics of the civil rights movement were contrary to scripture, or that the “civil rights agenda” is rooted in ideas contrary to scripture and is destined to fail is very hard.) So, it would be far better for the Al Mohlers, Wayne Grudems, R.C. Sprouls and John MacArthurs to start the dialogue on the issue and then have their black counterparts respond. Essentially, black Christian leaders who take the Bible seriously would be required (forced) to articulate why racism should not be viewed and therefore addressed like every other sin.

It amounts to the fact that racism is going to continue to be a snare to larger society, and a major reason for this is that larger society is going to continue to view racism as a social ill that can be corrected with education, economics, government action and the simple passage of time. However, the race riots that occurred barely a week prior to the writing of this shows that it is not the case. Also, the rising numbers and influence of Islam in this country will add another dimension. The black leadership has decided to form political alliances with Islam – and indeed several influential black leaders have converted to that religion – and that will result in more white people viewing blacks as a “fifth column.” But just because race will continue to be a problem for the larger society doesn’t mean that it has to remain a stumblingblock for the church, or at least when the context is Bible-believing black and white Christians who ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURE have more in common with each other than they do with the unregenerate members of their own respective races. To put it simply, just because Sean Hannity and Jesse Jackson hate each other doesn’t mean that black and white Bible-believing Baptists, Presbyterians, Methodists etc. should have each other at arm’s length. Perhaps even more importantly, black and white Christians need to work together in order to close off an avenue that the world so often uses to lead us into things that range from temptation to severe errors in doctrine and practice.

How Could Sarah Palin Have Attended An Evangelical Church All Those Years Without Being Able To Say That Homosexuality Is A Sin?

Posted by Job on September 17, 2008

Remember the religious right and conservatives in general proclaiming “How could Barack Obama have spent all those years in Jeremiah Wright’s church without hearing anything racist or anti – American?” Well evangelicals, right back at you! Second … Palin is a member of “the church of judge not.” By the way, Palin calls homosexuality “diversity.” As a black man, let me say that a person’s decision to abuse and defile himself and another person with unnatural sex acts IS NOT DIVERSITY. Is claiming that being homosexual and being black are basically the same part the new GOP strategy to increase their share of the nowhite vote? But that is just part of it.

Please recall my great disappointment in serious Christian leaders like Albert Mohler rushing to endorse a woman that they knew nothing about! This is the issue. Had Palin been a leader in the religious right and social conservative movement she would have been well known to Christian political circles. Had she, say, tried to outlaw abortion on the state level to challenge Roe v. Wade (as John Ashcroft attempted to do in the 1990s and Republicans in Idaho did in 2006), attempted to pass a law opposing gay marriage (as several states have done) or tried to post the Ten Commandments on state buildings (a la Alabama state judge Roy Moore) these folks would have already known about this woman and had a very positive opinion of her based on it. This is not to say that had Palin embarked on these political crusades that she would have been doing the right thing Biblically. Rather, I am merely stating that her doing so would have justified the religious right’s support of this woman in the political context (if not quite justifying Al Mohler’s support of her for more theological reasons or J. Lee Grady calling her God’s prophet with the Deborah anointing).

As it is, Palin was none of these things. Instead, she was endorsed and is being promoted by not only the religious right but people like Mohler, Grady, etc. because she is from Alaska (as opposed to one of the dirty places with all the liberals and minorities on welfare), she hunts (as opposed to, you know, windsurfing like Harvard elites or playing basketball with inner city welfare minorities or whatever it is those people do with each other in those dirty places), and has five children (because, you know, having trouble conceiving or being married to a man with fertility problems before fasting and praying and finally being blessed with ONE CHILD that you desperately love and make sacrifices for in order to raise him in the faith sounds like something those dirty people from dirty places like Abraham and Sarah or Hannah and Elkanah in Canaan/Israel!) and chose not to abort her child (which, you know, so doesn’t count when any one of the millions of those dirty people from those dirty places made the exact same decision).

But say this person were a born again Christian from one of those dirty places like inner city Miami or Detroit who was childless (because scripture says some women will be barren) or single (because scripture says that God will not suffer all to get married) or even had received an abortion (before getting born again and becoming a new creation) but ran a hospice for those dirty people like AIDS victims or a youth center to try and keep some of these young dirty males off the streets and from being locked up and the key from being thrown away with these three strikes laws before entering politics and proving herself over a long period of time of being a wise, capable, effective, and honest public servant (the sort of leader that the Bible praises i.e. Cyrus the Mede, the pharoah in the time of Joseph, etc). Would there be this level of excitement? Of course not. She would received nothing but faint, backhanded, feigned “praise” and there would be grumbling that McCain proved his liberal stripes after all.

The religious right types do not support Palin because of Jesus Christ. They support Palin because in their eyes, her background and lifestyle makes her the ideal HUMAN woman! It is HUMAN worship, idolatry, no different from how artists in times past would sculpt and paint images of gods and goddesses from Nordic and Greek mythology to represent their ideal of humanity. She is nothing more than a symbol, an object, to them. In other words, an idol that represents not the gospel of Jesus Christ, but their ideal of human virtue. A single woman born to a family on public assistance, got pregnant at age 16 and took advantage of Ronald Reagan’s most liberal abortion laws in the nation to kill her child, but then gave her life to Jesus Christ, began an outreach ministry to help the dirty people, and went from that background into public service where she served with competence and justice as the Bible requires? Well hey, such a woman would receive some praise from the right I guess. They might even send her as a delegate to the Republican National Convention! (Assuming that she is a Republican to begin with, and that she doesn’t spent any of her time doing what the Bible says by using her position to advocate for, you know, dirty people like widows, orphans, the poor, etc. Of course, the religious right believes in fresh oil, fresh fire, and new revelation where the the contents of the Bible have been replaced by the anointed prophets of neoconservatism.) But this frenzied feverish reaction? Of course not! Because while such a woman may be born again, loving Jesus Christ, and advancing the kingdom of heaven, she simply isn’t cut out to be a religious right idol of cultural virtue and family values. Why? BECAUSE SHE WOULDN’T FIT THE PROFILE! (By the way, any of you remember Joe Biden saying that Barack Obama was “clean”? As opposed to what? DIRTY?)

So it is left to people like IndependentConservative, people who actually are thinking about Jesus Christ, to expose the facade for all who are willing to face the truth because their trust is not in the things of this world but rather in Jesus Christ and His rule to come. Sadly, most seem to want to be deceived because their heart is in this world. Now do not mistake me. In criticizing Palin, it is not because I am seeking some notion of perfection according to my own eyes. No, all I want is a decent, honest, capable, qualified person. Neither Obama, Biden, McCain, or Palin fits the bill. We see this in the case of Palin, who was a member for years at a Pentecostal church that runs a “be saved from homosexuality” conference (and yes, Palin is now subtly distancing herself from that church) and is now a member at an evangelical Bible church, tapdance around the issue of homosexuality. The people who asked “how could Barack Obama have sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church for all those years without knowing Wright’s Marxist views” need to ask “how could Sarah Palin have sat in Wasilla Assembly of God Church all those years without being able to boldly, directly, and unconditionally claim that homosexuality is sinful, unnatural, and an abomination to God and that people who practice it need salvation and deliverance through Jesus Christ? Look at the video below and consider the answer. Look at the video and see why Christians must flee idolatry.

By the way: do I need to say that Adolph Hitler took the statues of Nordic gods that represented ideal humanity, placed them in churches, and used them to come up with this neo – Pagan religion based on the worship and promotion of the ideal man? Well, keep following your Alaskan bear shooting mooseburger eating beauty queen with 5 kids because of WHAT SHE REPRESENTS rather than WHO SHE IS and see if that path takes you to the strait gate or the wide gate.

Jeremiah Wright’s Adultery With A White Woman Is An Example Of 1 Timothy 6 False Doctrine Leads To Sexual Immorality!

Posted by Job on September 11, 2008

My position is that 1 Timothy 6:1-10 can be interpreted as stating that false doctrines lead to sexual immorality in those that preach the doctrines and those that hear them. In my opinion, false doctrines are one of the main reasons why there are all these sex scandals in the church, and evidence of correlation between devil’s doctrines and sexual immorality is present in the New Testament, in the church at Corinth in particular

So here is the text of 1 Timothy 6:1-10:

All who are under the yoke as slaves are to regard their own masters as worthy of all honor so that the name of God and our doctrine will not be spoken against. Those who have believers as their masters must not be disrespectful to them because they are brethren, but must serve them all the more, because those who partake of the benefit are believers and beloved Teach and preach these principles. If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness, he is conceited and understands nothing; but he has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions, and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. But godliness actually is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment. For we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take anything out of it either. If we have food and covering, with these we shall be content. But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

Now I first made the correlation between sexual immorality and the prosperity doctrine after reading this passage after radio minister/teacher Bob George referenced 1 Timothy 6 in response to a question whether it was acceptable to listen to Kenneth Copeland, Fred Price, and other prosperity doctrine teachers (of course George’s answer was an emphatic no) on his nationwide call in radio show. How does this relate to Jeremiah Wright? Well first of all, Wright’s liberation theology teachings are really no different from the prosperity doctrine. Both center around getting Christians to de – emphasize the promise of spiritual blessings and eternal life in favor of an emphasis of earthly things, whether wealth and health in the prosperity doctrine or seeking political changes that will result in favorable economic conditions for minorities and workers via liberation theology. Just as the extreme version of the prosperity doctrine, the Word of Faith, teaches that God has abdicated His throne with respect to the rule of creation to man, first to Adam and then to the church, the true version of liberation theology denies the actual existence of heaven and the lake of fire, claiming that they are metaphors for political, economic, and social conditions on earth. It is no small coincidence then that liberation theology thought that is so prominent among the religious left that is so influential in the Democratic Party (please remember that Bill Clinton hosted Jeremiah Wright at the White House!) in both the white left as represented by mainline Protestant denominations and liberal Roman Catholics and the black left as represented by the civil rights movement (please recall that Martin Luther King, Jr. rejectd the virgin birth, deity, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and hence cannot be considered as having been a Christian in any sense) has as its correlation the prosperity/Word of Faith doctrines in the form of figures like John Hagee, Rod Parsley, and Pat Robertson that are so influential in the Republican Party (and please recall Mike Huckabee’s attempts to bring Kenneth Copeland into the fold as well). If you want more evidence that the two parties merely represent faces on the same wicked coin that may look different but in truth are part of the same entity and joined in the middle, there you go!

Continuing, when reading that passage more, I formed the opinion that all false doctrines, not just the prosperity doctrine, lead to immorality in general with sexual immorality being just one. As a matter of fact, associating that godliness is gain and predatory destructive unnatural sexual behavior are just symptoms of the larger spiritual, mental, and character issues that go with one having a reprobate mind.

And this brings us back to this Jeremiah Wright fellow. The fellow was already “married” to another man’s wife that he exploited and abused his position of marriage counselor to get a woman in a troubled marriage to leave her husband so that he could marry her shortly after: Jeremiah Wright’s Adulterous Marriage. This uses as source material in part BARACK’S REV. ‘STOLE A WIFE’ – EX-HUBBY: HE COUNSELED US, THEN WED HER. (Did his congregation care? Of course not.) Well now this: Jeremiah Wright committed adultery with the wife of a pastor, resulting in the dissolution of the marriage. REPORT: REV. JEREMIAH WRIGHT HAS AFFAIR WITH ANOTHER MAN’S WIFE. (It would appear that this pastor was another teacher of false doctrine, and also one who uses the same trick of claiming to have degrees that he does not have. By the way, Jamal – Harrison Bryant also claimed the same phony degree from the same place, which only offers certificates from some summer training program and not doctorates, and Bryant, who is leading the charge to bring the prosperity doctrine into the same African Methodist Episcopal denomination that James Cone was a member of when he created black liberation theology – small world isn’t it – is also documented and proven to be sexually immoral. ) And guess what: Wright used the time dishonored “I will leave my wife for you” trick on his prey.

Now make no mistake, Fox News and the New York Post have an agenda. These operations are owned by the world’s biggest pornographer Rupert Murdoch whose pastor is Rick Warren (who asserts that Murdoch is a born again Christian!), who tells his church members to use sexual titillation in order to win converts (see here and here) and is not above using teen girls performing sexually suggestive dances to please his audience like Herod’s daughter did before demanding the head of John the Baptist for her mother (read Matthew 14) during “praise and worship service.” Of course, Warren’s false New Age “God wants to make you feel all good and happy” doctrines are not at all distinct from Joel Osteen’s brand of prosperity teaching. Back to Fox News and the New York Post, their agenda is to influence the upcoming presidential election.

Me, I do not share that agenda. I could care less who you vote for. As a matter of fact, my position is that Christians should vote for NEITHER. The video in this link from Pastor Slattery illustrates why I have this position. Instead, my agenda is to tell Christians to flee these false doctrines, for they do in fact destroy people’s lives. As far as this Obama person goes in general, it really does appear that he has been recruiting as many degenerate pastors as McCain has, if not more. Here is one good site on that issue. The strait gate is not through the Democratic or Republican Party (or Green or Socialist or Communist or Constitution or Libertarian or Labour or Tory or Christian Democrats or Kadima or Likud) but through belief in and obedience to the Jesus Christ of the Bible through right belief (orthodoxy) and right behavior (orthopraxy). The sad case of Jeremiah Wright’s adultery is just one evidence among many of what happens when pastors and their followers that reject right belief in their teaching … right behavior inevitably exits as well.

Sarah Palin’s Former Pastor Ed Kalnins Reverts To The Jeremiah Wright Excuse!

Posted by Job on September 4, 2008

Palin’s former minister comes under scrutiny

Ed Kalnins and Jeremiah Wright are so different, yet so alike. Why so alike? When they were challenged regarding controversial comments that they made, they claimed to be taken out of context. Two things about this.

1. Do not claim to be taken out of context if your comments generally reflect what you believe. Kalnins clearly supported George W. Bush and the Iraq War and opposed John Kerry. So even if he did not specifically believe that opposing Bush and supporting John Kerry would sin you to the lake of fire and the Iraq War was the will of God as direct and demonstrable points of Biblical doctrine, the fact remains that his beliefs and sympathies are very much in that direction, and he made those statements in support of those beliefs. The same with Jeremiah Wright’s ranting. No one that has any level of exposure to liberation theology and black nationalism can claim that Jeremiah Wright’s “out of context” comments do not generally describe his beliefs.

2. For the record, THIS is a textbook literal example of being taken out of context means. A pastor is in the pulpit describing where in the Old Testament God tells Israel that it is His Will that when Israel goes to war against Edom (or Moab or Ammon … you get the picture) that they kill every man, woman, and child. The next day, that pastor and his congregation are confronted with the headline in the local newspaper “Pastor Claims That God Advocates Genocide!” and then for good measure goes on to talk about Nazi Germany and the Holocaust. So taking the pastor’s attempt to describe events in historical Israel and claiming that the pastor was telling his congregation to go out and kill Jewish babies … THAT is taking things out of context. THAT is what the term actually means … using a person’s words in a manner that completely distorts or opposes their intended meaning. (Incidentally, Christians do the same to God when we take Bible verses out of their context all the time i.e. “ye are gods children of the most high … life and death are in the power of the tongue … speaking things that are not as though they were” … you get the picture.)

What that gets us to is that the vast majority of the time that people claim to be quoted out of context … they weren’t REALLY quoted out of context. Instead, they said something that is bringing negative consequences on their heads, and they are using manipulative or deceptive tactics to avoid those consequences rather than being honest and A) standing behind the substance of what they said (and believe) or B) apologizing and retracting it. And Kalnins and Wright prove this by their own words. Wright, for instance, claimed that his rantings were justifiable in the context of black liberation theology. Kalnins, for his part, simply claimed to be quoted out of context without bothering to provide the actual context, meaning, or intent of his words. For Wright this means that his being a black liberation theologist makes his ranting and hate acceptable. On Kalnins’ part, he simply expected that his supporters would presume that a liberal media is out to destroy him and Palin, and strangely enough is using precisely the same thing – a set of built in theological, philosophical, and political assumptions – that Wright was! Just as Wright was saying “you’d have to read James Cone to really understand where I am coming from”, Kalnins was saying (with his silence) “that is just the godless liberals doing what they do.” Again, see how similar they are? The truth is that neither was willing to expound upon or explain his statements without revealing that they actually do reflect in a general sense his personal beliefs, because they know that their personal beliefs would be rejected by most people and bring negative consequences – persecution if you will – as a result. As neither man was willing to face persecution on account of his doctrines – his Christianity – he claimed to be taken out of context. Did Peter, Paul, James, John, Matthew, etc. ever claim to have been taken out of context?

This is in great contrast to a prominent British leader of the Reformation John Knox. In the time of Knox’s ministry, several of Europe’s leading nations were ruled by women. The women did not always act in a Biblical manner – as rulers tend to often not do – and Knox wrote a polemic against women in leadership. Of course, this created very negative consequences for Knox. What did Knox do? He did not claim to be “quoted out of context”, which in truth is LYING by calling the people who accurately report the text and general meaning and intent of your words LIARS, which is indeed what Wright and Kalnins are doing. Instead, Knox APOLOGIZED and RETRACTED HIS COMMENTS. SEVERAL TIMES. His efforts to make amends did not satisfy the female rulers that he offended, but that is besides the point. The point is that Knox took full responsibility for his words rather than LIE and claim that the bearer of responsibility was not HE who spoke the words but the HEARER for his failure to understand. 1) It is the responsibility of the SPEAKER to communicate CLEARLY and EFFECTIVELY so that they will not be grotesquely misunderstood. Especially if you are a PREACHER. Not only are preachers TRAINED PROFESSIONAL SPEAKERS BY DEFINITION, but preachers should WANT those that are UNSAVED to understand them. A person should not have to be well versed in black liberation theology or familiar with the eccentricities of your Alaskan Assemblies of God church in order to know that your angry rants should not be interpreted literally. I know that Jesus Christ spoke in parables, but with all due respect Kalnins and Wright, I know Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ is a friend of mine, and pastor you are no Jesus Christ. Speak plainly or get out of the pulplit to make room for someone who can. 2) Again, your hearers did not misunderstand you. You said what you meant and you meant what you said. Even if it was rhetorical or metaphorical rather than literal, your words conveyed the basic general thrust of your doctrines and beliefs. You are just trying to avoid the consequences of your actions.

Now this is the root cause of their problems which caused them to claim to be “quoted out of context” is that their words and intents were not Biblical to begin with. If they were preaching sound doctrine based on a literal and contextual interpretation of scripture, then Jeremiah Wright would have been able to turn to the Bible and show where Peter launched into hateful tirades. Kalnins similarly would have been able to show where the book of Ephesians states that God will judge people based on which political leaders they support. Now had Wright and Kalnins been doing Bible – based preaching, then their claims of having been “taken out of context” would have simply been their revealing that they are ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. (By the way, John Knox was not guilty of this for nothing in scripture forbids women from being leaders in the secular realm … Knox simply was in error and appropriately withdrew his words and made apology for them.) As it was, instead of being guilty of being ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ, Kalnins and Wright were guilty of preaching another gospel, which is just as bad, for scripture states that anyone who preaches another gospel is accursed!

And that is the root of why Kalnins and Wright, despite so different, in this matter were actually one and the same. Ministers of the Word of the living God have a great responsibility that should not be misused or abused. When you are in the pulpit (or out of it for that matter) stick to the Bible. The church exists for the Bible (the revelation of God to mankind), not the Bible for the church. If a preacher cannot stick to the Bible, then he needs to find another occupation, or another area in which he can serve. The same is true of a preacher that is ashamed of having to represent the Bible’s contents. And rest assured, if your pastor, your shepherd, is someone who in his office either wanders from scripture or fails to zealously promote or defend it, then it is your responsibility to find one that does.

Bristol Palin, Murphy Brown, And The Religious Right

Posted by Job on September 4, 2008

Remember Dan Quayle’s denouncing Murphy Brown for glorifying single parenthood? Contrast this with the Republican evangelical embrace of Bristol Palin. How times change. Then again, these same Republican evangelicals could have cared less that Ronald and Nancy Reagan were necromancer occultists or that George W. Bush is a universalist so maybe times haven’t changed.

When I was a little boy attending church, one of my favorite songs was “I’m So Glad That Jesus Set Me Free.” I forget exactly how it went, but I recall portions to the effect of “Satan had me bound, but Jesus set me free” and “sin had me down but Jesus lifted me.” Of course, there were possibly HUNDREDS of variants to that song by denomination, region, tradition, etc. During the past two years, the actions of both sides of our wicked political coin in America have frequently made me smile and think “I’m So Glad That I Am Not A Religious Right Republican.” Did Jesus Christ set me free from it? You be the judge.

I honestly have to say that of all the bizarre things that I have witnessed in the not quite two years since I left the Republican Party behind for good, this Sarah Palin nonsense tops it all. The past 30 years of Republican opposition to affirmative action and identity/victim politics? GONE! The Republicans nominated a totally unqualified vice presidential candidate to pander to white women who would rather attribute Hillary Clinton’s defeat to sexism than to her own mismanaged campaign.

Even better: their past 30 years of “family and moral values?” GONE! The very same conservatives that are cheering Palin for being a role model for women were just last week demonizing career and professional women who cause irreparable harm to their children and society by putting them in daycare. And the very same moral judges who claimed that illegitimacy would be the ruin of our nation and culture are now proclaiming that the out of wedlock pregnancy of Palin’s daughter makes them like her more! It makes her more American, more identifiable with the struggles of everyday Americans! (Please note that just six months ago these same people were promoting Mitt Romney precisely BECAUSE of his perfect Mormon cult family.)

And yes, racism is a HUGE part of this. You want to know why so many blacks won’t set foot in a white evangelical church? Evil hypocrisy like this. What black person is going to go sit in pews with a bunch of white conservative so – called Christians who hate affirmative action except when it comes to white people like not only Palin but George W. Bush, whose grades were so bad that he couldn’t get into a state university law school, yet he was able to go to Harvard and Yale because of his last name? And what black person that has spent the last 30 years hearing religious right leaders and their conservative allies blame every problem in the black community on fatherlessness because it is their “get out of jail free card” from having to deal with issues like poverty, the lack of jobs, redlining, the effects of slavery and segregation, bad schools, unfair government policies (like the Department of Agriculture policies that drove thousands of black farmers out of business) now not only shirk and shrug but cheer and applaud? We all know how Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, and the rest of these people that evangelical Christians allow to advocate and represent them would act if it were Barack Hussein Obama’s daughter that was pregnant. But for Sarah Palin’s daughter, these people are demanding that “we respect her family’s privacy” and saying “they need our support and prayers.” The response from not only Dobson but even serious people like Albert Mohler, whom I respect, was “well, out of wedlock pregnancy is part of our culture now so I guess we will just have to deal with it.” Yes, these are the very same people who have for 20 years blamed every problem in the black community on our 70% illegitimacy rate and used it as an excuse for taking harsh hateful attitudes towards the poor, but when it is one of their Pentecostal social conservative political candidates, they totally change their rhetoric and attitude? So white evangelicals, if you are wanting to know why 95% of blacks won’t sit in your pews, look in the mirror and see your own racist hypocrisy. Is that unfair? Of course. But realize this: not very many black people actually KNOW that many white people personally. Blacks form their of whites largely based on what they see in the media. And if what they see in the media is a bunch of two – faced race baiting hypocritical jackals representing white evangelical Protestant Republicans who despise black inner city teen mothers on welfare but love and support themselves some Bristol Palin because her mother is a mooseburger eatin’ bear huntin’ Alaskan with traditional values? You folks know very well that if it were Obama’s daughter, not only would the public line be “this is precisely why Obama’s liberal values are wrong for our country and would harm the values of our Christian nation”, but the private line would be “see, the Obama family is just another typical black inner city bunch of ghetto (insert racial slur) … I bet his daughters will find some welfare program to get on.” (The fact that the “reformer” Palin hired lobbyists to get her tiny Alaska town MILLIONS in government subsidies … hey how’s for that western small government self – reliance?) So NOW do you understand why the black people that are going to go pull the lever for Barack Obama could care less about Jeremiah Wright when the religious right leaders are every bit as racist and their tens of millions of evangelical followers either agree with them or could care less? Quite honestly, I don’t blame black evangelicals for refusing to go to church with white evangelicals that exchange their white KKK sheets for suits (or Hawaiian T – shirts in the case of Rick Warren and similar) every Sunday.

The sad thing is that what Dan Quayle said was 100% right. And who knows, perhaps Quayle was sincere. But we now know that these so called religious right leaders as well as so many of their followers were NEVER sincere. They never cared about teen mothers or their illegitimate children. To them, it was just a political issue that they used to bash the other side. That is why these people never lifted a finger to help these people, either with their charitable good works or the tranforming power of the gospel. No, because all they cared about was having just another issue to justify being Republicans and opposing Democrats. And you see this the very instant that illegitimacy went from being a black inner city ghetto issue that they could blame on Democrats and civil rights leaders to being their own issue. Not only is the white illegitimacy rate higher today than it was in the black community when Daniel Patrick Moynihan wrote “A Nation At Risk”, but I actually read a Roman Catholic Republican blogger lament that Bristol Palin’s baby wouldn’t be born before the November election so the cute little grandma grandbaby pictures can’t be used to win over more swing voters. (Again, pictures of Michelle Obama holding her illegitimate grandchild would cause these very same people to dry heave in revulsion and start demanding new rounds of welfare reform.)

Seriously people, go and look at any of the quotes from these people like James Dobson, Pat Robertson, Tony Perkins, Gary Bauer, Rush Limbaugh, the whole lot of them, about the foolish selfish risky irresponsible choice of becoming a teen mother, and their placing a large portion of the blame on career women who did not stay at home with their kids and raise them right … feminists – excuse me feminazis – that put their own selfish ambitions over their families and harmed them as a result. Where are these people now? Calling the media sexist for saying the same thing TODAY that they were saying LAST WEEK! Are any of those people saying that they were wrong? That they were sorry? Nope. As a matter of fact, as soon as Palin is elected – and she and McCain will be – these folks will be right back to blaming the ills of our society on feminazi career women and black illegitimate welfare mothers. And the evangelical “Christians” will go right along with them.

Why? Worldliness. 1 John 2:15, people. Look it up. Also look up Romans 12:1-2, which says not to be conformed to the ways of this world. See, both political parties are corrupt, and they alternate between competing and collaborating to elect corrupt leaders to run a corrupt government. Now there may indeed be nothing wrong with Christian involvement in politics and government in and of itself. But EVERYTHING is wrong with Christians supporting corrupt policies, leaders, and systems. Why? Because it is supporting evil. Black Democrat Christians who support Obama, for instance, are willfully supporting homosexuals, abortionist murderers, and atheists. White Republican Christians who support McCain and George Bush … well guess what they are supporting the same! McCain voted against a constitutional amendment to make homosexual marriage illegal. McCain told the San Francisco Chronicle that he opposes appealing Roe v. Wade, and you also know perfectly well that he will not sign an executive order preventing taxpayer money from being used to build new abortion clinics in black neighborhoods just as Bush didn’t, Bush’s father didn’t, and Reagan didn’t, and that McCain will put pro abortion and pro homosexual judges on the bench just like Reagan, Bush, and Bush did. Yet white evangelicals vote Republican for the same reason that black evangelicals vote Democrat: the conviction that they have to choose between the lesser of two evils, which ultimately causes them to declare the lesser evil to be GOOD! Well Isaiah 5:20 says Woe to those who call evil good, and in the original Bible language and context, pronoucing woe on someone meant pronouncing their DEATH! Since these McCain and Obama evangelicals aren’t going to keel over from strokes and heart attacks on November 4 en masse when they leave the voting booth, what kind of death do you think Isaiah 5:20 is talking about here? SPIRITUAL DEATH! And I have to tell you … the people who feigned conniptions over videos of Jeremiah Wright ranting that God would punish America for its wicked policies knowing full well that religious right preachers from Frank Schaeffer to Jerry Falwell said the same thing (remember their attributing hurricanes, September 11th, etc. to gay marriage, abortion, and the ACLU?) show themselves to be spiritually dead already because of their dishonesty and hypocrisy, which was the same crime that Jesus Christ convicted the PHARISEES of.

And that is the amazing thing. You know, the LIBERALS have been right about the religious right all along. The same liberals in the New York Times, L.A. Times, Washington Post, Salon, The Nation, etc. who used to make my blood boil with anger and rage … they were right, and this Bristol Palin affair proved it. These folks NEVER cared about the gospel of Jesus Christ. They NEVER EVEN CARED about values and the culture. All they cared about was WINNING. Being in control. Getting OUR PEOPLE IN to run OUR COUNTRY. That is why these people have been willing to send the same bunch of criminals, adulterers, and closeted homosexuals to Washington year after year. It is CHRISTIANS who do this, and the reason is that they have their eyes and hearts in the world and off Jesus Christ. Dual covenant theologist Ann Coulter called liberals “Godless” when the truth is that the religious right is just as godless if not more so. How do I know this? BECAUSE THEY ARE A BUNCH OF DUAL COVENANT THEOLOGISTS! Excuse me, Susan Palin isn’t, because her church has ties to “Jews for Jesus.” But if this woman believes that people who criticize Bush and vote for Kerry are going to hell, and that sending our soldiers into Iraq and securing a bunch of corporate welfare for her state is doing the will of God, THEN WHICH JESUS ARE THESE JEWS FOR”? I will tell you: not my Jesus, and not the Jesus of the Bible. All these people are doing is bringing Jews out of one false religion and into another! Why? Because Jesus Christ would have never supported evil just because that evil was on the Democratic or Republican ticket!

Now I am not saying that all these people are going to the lake of fire. Nobody is perfect, there is none without sin. But some examination is in order here to see if these people are still in the faith. How many of these same evangelicals were raising money to try to defeat John McCain in his Senate primary not long ago? How many of these same evangelicals were willing to hand this nation over to the Mitt Romney Mormon cult because of his family values? How many evangelicals that are completely ignoring rumors of McCain’s marital infidelity spent years angrily denouncing the same about Bill Clinton before they even heard of Monica Lewinsky? Answer: the same number of black evangelicals who shifted Bill Clinton from being their great liberator in January 2008 to being an Arkansas Klansman in February 2008. You call yourselves Bible – believing Christians … well don’t you believe the book of James when it says that a double minded man is unstable in all his ways and let not such a man think that he will receive anything from the Lord?

So you generation of vipers, how can you avoid the wrath that is to come? Simple. REJECT WORLDLINESS. Not just in the political context. Reject it all! The world is fallen, evil, and wicked, ruled by Satan, the prince of the powers of the air. It will be destroyed by fire on the great glorious day of the Lord and replaced by a new heaven and new earth free of wickedness. So what is it going to be, evangelical, whether black or white, Democrat or Republican, McCain supporter or Obama hypocrite? Are you going to be of God and partake in the new creation? Or are you going to be of the world and get destroyed with it?

I know full well that had I not broken with the GOP the day after election day in 2006 because the Republicans lost control of Congress after 12 years having done absolutely nothing of substance on abortion, I would be supporting the Republicans in their lying hypocrisy with Palin at this very second. I would be supporting their wicked perversions and thereby being just as wicked and perverse myself, all the while declaring myself to be a born again Holy Spirit filled anointed sanctified Bible believing Christian. Why? Because of my love of the world which would cause me to reject God’s righteousness. But you know what? Jesus Christ set me free!

So I am asking, begging, pleading, PRAYING for all Christians, no matter your race or political beliefs, to do the same. Can you be a liberal and be a Christian? Sure! But you CANNOT be a person that supports EVIL and opposes THE BIBLE and be a Christian. Period. I am not talking about what you do in the ballot box. I am talking about the contents of your own heart. Is it a heart that desires to consistently represent and support God’s righteousness, or one that is filled with hypocrisy, compromise, and double standards that causes you to actually hold the Pentecostal Bristol Palin to a LOWER STANDARD than the black liberation theology Malia and Sasha Obama? (Or for blacks, holding racist Jeremiah Wright to a LOWER STANDARD than the white Southern Baptist pastor down the street?)

The sexual immorality that resulted in Bristol Palin’s pregnancy is indeed sinful and regrettable, but hypocrisy will send many more Christians to the lake of fire for eternity than fornication. Think about it, Christians, and examine yourselves to see whether you still be in the faith. This missive primarily dealt with contemporary politics, but it is applicable to all areas of life just as worldliness is.

Anti – Christ Hillary Clinton Supporters Attacking Pastor That Gave Sermon On Adultery Paul Fryman

Posted by Job on May 22, 2008

I made some guesses in While Campaigning in Kentucky Hillary Clinton Hears Sermon On Infidelity regarding her visit to a Kentucky United Methodist Church that turned out to be incorrect. Reasoned Audacity has a better picture in this post. Some excerpts (and I hope that they do not mind!):

He has been the subject of abuse because his sermon was on adultery. He has received hate mail and all sorts of attacks – including accusations of being a pedophile and needing therapy, etc. He has chosen (wisely) not to react or respond at all. Paul is a humble, guileless servant of Christ. The more I hear about this fellow the more I like him! I tell you this … Paul Fryman DOES NOT fit the profile of the typical religious right pastor. The typical religious right pastor rails against the sins of liberals while ignoring the sins of conservatives. The typical religious right pastor rails against the sins of famous liberals BEHIND THE BACKS OF SAID LIBERALS while cowardly clamming up and making nice and friendly while in the presence of said liberal. In other words, most religious right pastors are nothing like the Old Testament prophets or John the Baptist. In other words, had Paul Fryman been a typical religious right pastor, he would have had Hillary Clinton stand up, thank her for visiting his church – and bringing it tons of free publicity – and mentioned that HER PASTOR is NOTHING LIKE that AWFUL Jeremiah Wright! And were he a religious right pastor he CERTAINLY would have held 100 news conferences talking about all the horrible persecution that he has received, and would have enlisted the aid of the various Jay Sekulow – type “Christian defense foundations” to manage his public relations operation – excuse me – serve as his advocate and defense (a role that incidentally SHOULD be played by Jesus Christ).

The service and Paul have been distorted unbelievably.

Here are some facts, in case someone asks you:

· Hillary’s people called Paul and told him she would be in his church, it was not a request.

· He told her people that they were in a series of sermons and that the morning sermon would be on adultery from the Sermon on The Mount, making sure she knew what she would hear, the bulletins were already printed.

I stated that this was possibly a case of poor vetting. This was worse. Either the right hand – the advance team planning, scheduling and coordinating the events – did not know what the left hand – the one responsible for making the final decision and getting the candidate to the event – was doing, or these people felt that the church would alter their plans to accommodate the candidate. Now the former, a lack of communication between Clinton’s team, is inexcusable. The latter is much less so, because let us face it, churches have a habit of completely ignoring the book of James and doing everything that they can to accommodate the powerful. If the last 99 churches she has been to stooped down and kissed her ring (and that of George W. Bush and Barack HUSSEIN Obama and so on) why should number 100 be different?

As bad as Hillary Clinton is, it appears that the press is worse.

· Paul’s sermon was 12 minutes (not the hour-long that was in the press – that was the length of the whole service)

· Paul acknowledged the presidential candidate’s presence in the service (some reports said that she was ignored and unwelcomed).

· Reporters sat in the service with their laptops – did not participate in the service respectfully.

Read where CNN gets it wrong. This is not news.

But what is news is that CNN can’t spell. Nancy writes into CNN,

May 18th, 2008 5:15 pm ETJust a note – please check the spelling on the word “alter,” which I belive [sic] should be “altar”. Or at least that’s how it’s spelled at my church. See, all democrats are not Godless heathens.

Nancy must be pro-life.

National Religious Broadcasters Using Oneness Modalist Heretic TD Jakes To Get Out The Vote

Posted by Job on May 12, 2008

Driving to work this morning viewing the effects of the terrible thunderstorms that spared my neighborhood but hard hit the one right next to mine, I was listening to Christian radio. Out of the blue comes TD Jakes’ booming voice. In it, he first speaks of how much he loves America and so forth. I immediately thought of Jakes doing this to exploit anger over Barack Hussein Obama, Michelle Obama, and Jeremiah Wright’s considerably less than jingoistic statements and actions. Then he went into his exhortation spiel for people to register and get out to vote.

First, I see Lifeway Bookstores, owned by the Southern Baptist Convention, selling TD Jakes’ doctrinal error (oneness pentecostalism and the Word of Faith/prosperity doctrine are but a few of his MANY problems) and now the National Religious Broadcasters are using this guy. I had been using the NRB as a sort of a refuge from the blatant charismania that you will find on The Word Network, Trinity Broadcasting Network, Daystar, etc. So I just ignored the heavy Pat Robertson presence on the channel, as well as their “white Europeans are the descendants of the children of Israel … the Danube River is so named because of the tribe of Dan” show that comes on early in the morning. I also ignored their embrace of the Ellen White Seventh Day Adventist cult. So I suppose that I cannot cast NRB aside on Jakes’ account, since the ones that I just named are hardly better – if anything some might be worse – or else I would be reacting out of a personal dislike for Jakes rather than on principle. (On the other hand, Slice of Laodicea has criticized NRB, albeit for different reasons, such as this post stating that not one red cent of NRB’s $5 BILLION IN ASSETS is being used to defend the faith from Oprah Winfrey.)

Incidentally, speaking of TD Jakes and PR spots, he has another one out (I did not catch the sponsor!) promoting single sex education, saying that “boys need their own schools so that they will be able to, you know, romp and stuff (his choice of words not mine!) and that boys learn differently from girls and needed their own classrooms in order to be accommodated. So … it looks like Jakes is not that far removed from Jeremiah Wright’s separatist doctrines after all?

I have to be honest, back when I was part of the religious right and allowing my worldview to be shaped by the Washington Times and the National Review, I was in full agreement. But now … I just recall reading about this inner city public school that went all male. Sure, the discipline problems decreased and the test scores went up. But when they interviewed the boys that attended the school, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM WANTED THEM TO BRING THE GIRLS BACK! Why? Because, er … BOYS LIKE GIRLS! Or at least they are supposed to anyway. Perhaps now that T.D. Jakes is on board with the new world order’s gay rights agenda (and yes this is relevant … perhaps due to his son) he thinks it is OK. To me, the whole single sex education thing … who wants it? Certainly not the kids. Not the administrators or teachers. Parents go for it only because they are desperate for any hook or angle to improve the failing school systems that the government is ruining on purpose. Not even the old fashioned religious sorts – of which I am one – think that it is a good idea anymore, where you were supposed to keep boys and girls separate in their little boarding or finishing schools (where they were supposed to look OH SO CUTE in their little uniforms I guess) UNTIL GRADUATION DAY WHEN YOU MARRY THEM OFF.

Sorry people, but society has changed. Not all of the changes have been for the good, but methinks that one of the most important things for a boy to learn from school is how to treat a lady and how to behave yourself in their presence. For some of us guys, those things do not come naturally, and you only learn them through trial and error. Especially error. (If you don’t learn to handle competition and rejection in junior high and high school, how on earth are you supposed to handle being turned down for jobs, promotions, college choices, etc. later in life?) So … HOW ON EARTH ARE THEY SUPPOSED TO LEARN THOSE THINGS IF THERE ARE NO GIRLS AROUND TO LEARN THEM FROM?

Like I said, TD Jakes may have his own reasons for wanting to turn your local public school into Morehouse College or similar, and whatever they are I oppose them 100%. All the more reason why the Southern Baptist Convention should not be selling this guy’s books and NRB shouldn’t be using him for their get out the vote campaign. But I suppose that this oneness anti – Trinitarian heretic is just too good at making money and moving public opinion for these people to pass up. That is, unless they are actually along with Jakes, on his side. After all, the Southern Baptists refuse to do anything about the likes of New Age heretic Erwin McManus and Council on Foreign Relations worker Rick Warren (and Richard Land too?), and as stated earlier, Al Sharpton Al Gore global warming propagandist partner Pat Robertson is a major partner with the NRB.

Abortion Is Racist Population Control Against Blacks AND BOTH POLITICAL PARTIES SUPPORT IT!

Posted by Job on April 29, 2008

From Breaking Christian News and The Tedland Daily Exposer. Anonymous phone calls to abortion clinics seem to substantiate the charges of ethnic cleansing of African-Americans by Planned Parenthood.

For years, accusations have been made regarding what can only be described as diabolically chilling racism at the heart of Planned Parenthood. In an October 2005 issue of Life Issues Institute, for example, Susan W. Enouen, P.E., writes: “Since the legalization of abortion in 1973, African Americans have taken a disproportionate blow to their population growth. Although today there are thirty-four million African Americans in the US, fourteen million unborn black American babies have been aborted since 1973, representing over one-fourth of their potential population. Today, blacks account for 12.3% of the American population, but African American women receive 36% of the abortions and are three times more likely than white women to have an abortion. The sad fact is, more African American babies have been killed by abortion since 1973 than the total number of African American deaths from AIDS, violent crimes, accidents, cancer and heart disease combined.”

“One key factor that has contributed to this tragedy,” says Enouen, “is the lasting influence of Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Sanger began the ‘Negro Project’ in 1939 to promote birth control as a solution to the poverty and degradation experienced, at that time, by blacks in general. Sanger was a strong proponent of birth control for the ‘unfit’ in society, who she believed should be discouraged from reproducing. Sanger sought to prevent the growth of certain segments of society, including blacks, through legislation or easy availability of sterilization and birth control. She recognized that these efforts might be seen as an attempt at racial genocide, and that the best approach must include recruiting and training African American doctors and ministers to help with the project.”

“Margaret wrote in a letter to Clarence Gamble dated October 19, 1939, ‘The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.’ She convinced black leaders that birth control and sterilization would ‘improve the welfare of the Negro population,’ and she enlisted their help in a mission to reduce maternal and infant mortality through birth control (as opposed to better prenatal and medical care). Thus began an undeniable effort to limit the growth of the African American population, irrespective of the intent.”

Just this month, on April 11, 2008, the Christian Post reported that a pro-life student group at UCLA released a series of shocking videos they claim proves that Planned Parenthood is still carrying out racially targeted abortions.

Today, BCN subscriber Pastor Brian Noble of Sandpoint Assembly of God in Sandpoint, Idaho, passed along an audio clip in which phone calls to Planned Parenthood were taped to authenticate these charges. Pastor Noble felt strongly that the Body of Christ at large needs to be made aware of this horrific practice. We agree wholeheartedly.

*My note: conservative Republican Christians, please remember that the GOP Congress and George W. Bush have had many opportunities to stop the $300 million that goes to Planned Parenthood annually but have refused. You had the GOP control of the Senate from 1980 – 1986, the Republican Congress from 1994 – 2006, and the Bush White House from 2000 until now. So Christians, always know whose side you are on. This issue was the main reason why I left the Republican Party in 2006: I realized that they were pro – abortion too! And as for you Barack HUSSEIN Obama supporters, this fellow supports the genocide of his own people. That the Clintons are aggressively pro – murder goes without saying. John McCain? He told the San Francisco Chronicle in 1999 that he would not seek to overturn Roe v. Wade. If I know this, John Hagee, Rod Parsley, and the rest of the religious right know this, yet they supported Bush and will support McCain anyway … and as far as black liberation theologists James Cone and Jeremiah Wright, apparently liberating the race means murdering it off, as both aggressively support abortion.

Biblical Liberation Theology

Posted by Job on April 29, 2008

I was recently amused by Jeremiah Wright’s assertion that his remarks were controversial only because America is unaccustomed to liberation theology. Allow me to disagree with Wright on this one point, because biblical Christians have always known the true meaning of liberation theology. Please access my take on the subject, written a couple of years ago, by accessing the link below.

Jeremiah Wright’s $1.6 Million Dollar Home In The White Suburbs

Posted by Job on April 7, 2008

The fellow is just another false preacher fleecing the flock, no different from the TBN minstrels. See link below:

This is the home that Trinity built

Trinity United Church of Christ is building a million-dollar home along a Tinley Park golf course on land that was owned by its longtime pastor, Rev. A. Jeremiah Wright Jr., records show. The 10,340-square-foot home, apparently planned for Wright’s retirement, sits on land purchased by the pastor in 2004 for $345,000. In September 2006, the church applied for a building permit, and in December 2006 he sold the land to his church, which took out a $1.6 million mortgage on the property.

The church received a permit in April 2007 for the brick-and-stone structure, set on Odyssey Country Club.
Trinity officials declined to comment. The church’s national office said it is “customary and appropriate in many Christian denominations, including the United Church of Christ . . . to offer housing provisions for retiring clergy” after years of service.

Rev. J. Bennett Guess, a spokesman in Cleveland, said: “Each local UCC congregation is free to honor a retiring pastor in ways it feels most appropriate.” Rev. Dwight Hopkins, a professor at the University of Chicago Divinity School, said African-American congregations often purchase a parsonage for clergy. In some traditions, ministers own the home. In others, the church retains ownership.

In recent weeks, Wright has been a central figure in the Democratic presidential race as U.S. Sen. Barack Obama—who has described Wright as a spiritual mentor and confidant—has sought to distance himself from racial and political statements made by the pastor.

Tribune reporter Manya A. Brachear contributed to this report.

So … is this the “black value system” and “rejection of middle – classedness” that Jeremiah Wright espouses from the pulpit? Again, I don’t use the Melvin Jones terminology here, but if I did, Wright would get it. The Three Step Salvation Plan

What Does The Bible Say About Racism? Try Galatians 3:28!

Posted by Job on March 28, 2008

“There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you
are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:28

Genesis 1:26,27, Deuteronomy 10:17, Acts 10:34, Romans 2:11, Galatians
3:28

What does God say about racism? Like in all matters of life, when we need
the Truth, the real answers, we have to go to our final authority in all
matters, the Bible. One of the greatest weapons of satan is division. The
enemy has figured out every way imaginable to divide men. Since virtually
the beginning of the human experience, man has fallen into satan’s trap of
division based on the color of a person’s skin or their ethnic origin.
While racism has always been an issue in this country, the fact is it is an
issue in every country. This divisive mindset is not unique to the United
States. Sadly, in some form it is practiced everywhere on the planet.

Since the racially incendiary remarks by B. Hussein Obama’s pastor of 20
years, Dr. Jeremiah Wright, became such a big part of the Presidential
campaign a few weeks ago, it has sparked a national dialogue on race. A few
weeks ago Senator Obama gave a speech on race that was lauded by many.
Those who made such a big deal over his speech were most likely swayed by
the fact he was dealing so openly with a taboo subject few will talk about.
However, his speech was hollow, self serving, and nothing more than a
political move to do damage control because of his close association with
Dr. Wright.

B. Hussein Obama’s race speech did NOTHING to help people or this nation
deal with this scourge, since the victory over racism isn’t going to come
from the flowery words of a politician whose only motive and goal is to get
elected President. No my friend, if people and this nation are going to
truly get victory over racism, it has got to come from an understanding of
what God says about this issue and by people who are willing to follow what
God says in the Bible.

If Senator Obama had intended to really take a leadership role on the race
issue, educate the nation and provide real answers for how to get victory
over this inhumane way people treat others who are different than they are,
then he would have told people what God says about racism. God says MUCH
about this issue, but Senator Obama didn’t find it worth including even one
verse of Scripture.

*THIS IS WHY I TELL YOU SO OFTEN THAT IT WILL NOT BE A POLITICIAN, BUT A MAN GOD HAS CALLED TO LEAD PEOPLE IN THE WAYS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS!!!

The fact is, there is only one race, the human race! People may have white
skin, black skin, brown skin, yellow skin, red skin, or any other color
skin, they may have different ethnic backgrounds, but they are all part of
the same race, the human race! The Bible says that ALL MEN are created in
the image of God. God created all men equal. I tell you frequently that
satan is the great perverter. It is satan, not God, who seeks to divide men
by their skin color, ethnicity, financial means, and any other way you can
dream up to divide people. God created men equal to live in harmony with
one another. It is satan who introduced division into the human experience.

In God’s plan of redemption, there is no division. John 3:16 says that God
so loved the world, ALL men. It says that WHOSOEVER BELIEVES. That is a
universal call to ALL MEN regardless the color of their skin or where they
live. In 1 John 2:2, it talks about how Jesus laid down his life for
EVERYONE. Everyone means ALL MEN, the entire human race. This satanically
inspired way we have of dividing ourselves through racism, prejudice, and
discrimination all make a mockery of what Christ did on the cross. He
faithfully and obediently went to that cross to die for the sins of ALL
MANKIND.

That is why all of the black pastors I know repudiate the false black
liberation theology Dr. Jeremiah Wright has been teaching for over 3
decades. Wright is actually a student of James Cone who made this perverse
theology popular in the 60s that teaches the Bible is the basis for blacks
to be liberated from social, political, economic, and religious bondage. B.
Hussein Obama is a liar when he states he never heard the types of comments
made by Dr. Wright the media has been playing, since that is the
foundational teaching of the black liberation theology Wright has been
preaching in Chicago for over 30 years.

The fact is the Bible DOES teach liberation theology, LIBERATION FROM SIN!!!
It was not written to people with dark skin, but to all people regardless of
their skin color. We are all part of the human race, which means we are all
born with the sin of Adam, we all sin during our life, and that is why Jesus
went to the cross. He gave His very life on that cross as the payment for
the sins of all mankind, that through faith in Him men might be find freedom
from their sins. There is nothing in the Bible to support this false black
liberation theology Dr. Wright preaches, since the liberation theology of
the Bible is about the freedom from sin for ALL MEN!

You also have the Biblical example of Jesus during His earthly ministry.
Again, racism is not a new phenomena to the United States in our brief 232
year history. Forms of racism have been part of the human expedience since
the very beginning. Jesus commanded us in John 13:34 to love each other as
He loves us. He used people of other ethnic backgrounds often in His
parables. One of the most powerful is the story of the Good Samaritan. If
you remember, the Jewish religious leaders passed by the man who had been
robbed and beaten and laying on the side of the road, leaving him to die.
It was the Samaritan, the non-Jew, who honored God by stopping and
ministering to the needs of the injured man. Don’t forget, it was Jesus who
told his followers to make disciples of EVERY NATION, reaffirming the value
of all men.

I love you and care about you so much. If B. Hussein Obama had wanted to
give a real speech on racism to move hearts and lead people in this issue,
THIS is the message he should have delivered. It would have been a message
from God’s Word that laid the Biblical foundation all men are created equal
and those who seek to divide men by the color of their skin are not of God,
but of satan! It would not have been the self serving, politically crafted
words to try and help him weasel out of his 20 year association with a
pastor and church that preaches and teaches division based on the color of a
person’s skin. Dividing men by skin color, ethnicity, are the works of the
devil.

Those who truly seek to serve and follow the Lord are not looking to divide
men but unite them. A true follower of Christ understands that God created
all men equal, that we are all part of the human race. Racism, prejudice,
and discrimination are NOT of God, since we are hurting someone God created
and loves and Jesus died for! Sadly, 11 am on Sunday morning is the most
segregated hour of the week in this nation. That is truly a shame since the
one sanctuary from racism should be the church. Yet sadly, most churches
don’t lead the culture, they allow the culture to lead them. So rather than
modeling what God says about this issue, in far too many churches, they
perpetuate this ungodly attitude men have for other men who look different
than them.

They better wake up since when we die, and stand at the gates of Heaven,
there won’t be a line for whites, or a line for blacks, or a line for
Asians, or a line for Hispanics, or a line for those from the Middle East,
just like there won’t be a line for Catholics, or Baptists, or Methodists,
or Pentecostals. No my friend, when you take your last breath there will
only be two lines. One for those who have put their faith in Jesus Christ
and one for those who have rejected Christ. The Bible proclaims those who
reject Christ will be cast into the flames of hell for all eternity, and
those who know Jesus will be welcomed into their eternal home with God their
Creator in Heaven. At that moment, Galatians 3:38 will be realized, “There
is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all
one in Christ Jesus!”

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller bkeller@liveprayer.com
