Bill Hamon, Another Transfer of Wealth Ministry Needs Your Transfer of Wealth (To Them) To Make It Through

Posted by Job on May 20, 2009

However, more recently we have reached a desperate financial situation.  The ministry staff has faithfully cut and curbed costs, but even as expenses have dropped, so has our income.  Many of the leadership have put in their own money to cover payroll, but that can only be done so many times. As a ministry it has always been our policy that we don’t lay people off.  Unfortunately, recently we have had to use this option as a way to keep the ministry running.  Our staff has been resilient as we have had to lay off several employees, placing a greater work load on many that remain, as well cutting their salaries by 10%.

Bill Hamon, Another Transfer of Wealth Ministry Needs Your Transfer of Wealth (To Them) To Make It Through

Someone kindly directed me to this from ‘Biship’ Bill Hamon’s site here, dated 11th May 2009. Bill Hamon is yet another one in the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) who blatantly cannot manifest what he preaches, just like Steve Shultz, Chuck Pierce and C Peter Wagner preach and even hold conferences on release and transfer of wealth yet cannot manifest what they preach and prophesy either. Something is seriously amiss in prophet land. Why on earth won’t the church wake up to it?

Bill Hamon says –

“Friday, February 6th I woke and felt the Lord quickened to me the story found in 2 Kings 3. In this chapter the three kings of Israel, Judah and Edom marched seven days into the desert, in a round about way, to attack Moab.  They ran out of water and none was available where they were.  Their provision for survival and continuing on was insufficient to meet their needs. They went to the prophet Elisha and he prophesied to dig long rows of ditches in the valley. The Prophet said God would fill the ditches with water.  They would not see clouds or rain, but water would come. water of provision is coming so that we may survive and be enabled to destroy our enemies and reap the spoils of victory.

I know that many people are experiencing tough financial times and others are tightening their belts in preparation for what may come. However, I strongly believe that in this time, more than ever, we must not forget the principle of sowing and reaping. [endtimespropheticwords comment – working your way to Bill Hamon of course]   Over and over scripture shows us that if we will give freely, rather than holding on, He will be more than faithful to bring the return. As a ministry we have continued to sow into other ministries even through this tough time.  I encourage you to do the same.

Over the last year Christian International has faced some of the toughest financial times since we first moved to Florida 25 years ago. In the early days our staff was accustomed to possible short pay checks or even being asked to sow their salaries.  Since we were such a close knit community we pulled together and made it through.  Praise God it has been many years since those early days!

For nearly two months our staff has done what would normally take them 80 hours in 72.  Some have even chosen to sow the additional eight hours to make sure that their part of the vision was fulfilled.

In a situation like this, it is imperative to seek the Lord for direction.  So that is exactly what the leadership gathered to do.  We talked it over, sought the Lord, revisited prophetic words and decided that God is not telling us to stop or to back down. Then we began the process of trusting Him to bring the needed provision. [endtimes: by sending out begging letters]

If you have been with our ministry for any length of time you know it is not our nature to ask for money unless it is absolutely necessary. We have a great need and I encourage you to seek the Lord as to what extra you can give at this time.  I know God will give you a hundred-fold return on your seed sown. [endtimes comment –  pimp it, Bill!  And if the seed sown really works this way, why doesn’t Bill give out to you or some other worthy project and get a hundred fold return for himself? He’d never need to ask anyone for money ever again, would he?! But he doesn’t as it doesn’t work like that!]

In 1 Corinthians 3 Paul encouraged the church at Corinth that we all play a part in accomplishing the purpose of God in the earth.  Verse 9 says, “We work together as partners who belong to God…” One plants the seed, another waters and another harvests.  I am depending on God and you to make sure we continue to progress in fulfilling our ministry together in Christ. I look forward to hearing from you soon. [endtimes – as long as a check is enclosed in the envelope – bit presumptive too isn’t it?!]

Yours in Christ,

Bishop Bill Hamon”

Maybe Bill Hamon needs to read his daughter-in-law Jane Hamon’s book ‘The Cyrus Decree’  (or talk to her more?) and then call in some of his fellow apostles and prophets in to do some effective decreeing instead of ineffective screeing? Mind you, we all know what happened when the NAR elite decree’d at Lakeland when giving Todd Bentley the apostolic handshake and ring …

“Jane Hamon…. discusses the truths and the blessings she says have come in the earth through prophetic proclamations and apostolic decrees. She discusses the ministry of the prophets and apostles in the marketplace and in the pulpit. Jane references the kingship of Cyrus as the biblical basis for these proclamations and their impact on the earth.

In order to understand why Cyrus’ call to deliver the people was so significant, it must be set in historical context. The Israelites were captive in Babylon in part because of the foolishness of Hezekiah. King Hezekiah was sick and Isaiah prophesied to him that he would die. Hezekiah petitioned God and God changed His mind and gave Hezekiah 15 more years to live. Once well, Hezekiah invited foreign visitors into his palace and bragged about all his wealth and possessions. The foreign visitors were from a little known place called Babylon. It took 100 years, but the Israelites were taken captive by these very foreigners and all they had was carried away to Babylon. But God never leaves His people without a means of deliverance and this time the deliverance would come through Cyrus.

WHY CYRUS?

Jane explains it this way. “Cyrus was anointed by the Lord for a season of dominion on the earth that would result in one of the greatest earthly kingdoms ever established. God’s purpose in raising Cyrus up as king was to make him an instrument the Lord could use to release Israel from Babylon and to enable them to return to their land to rebuild what the emeny had destroyed.” Jane says that Cyrus was a warrior by age 16 and that in the Church today, God is developing warriors to battle on the spiritual front. She says the trumpet is sounding and each saint is being called on to be ready for war because just like in the days of Cyrus, many, many people still live in slavery to sin and death. She says there are people to be delivered, cities to be freed, nations to be won and entire regions of the earth to be liberated by the reality of the gospel. But this current day warfare is not with guns or tanks or planes but the spiritual weapons of prayer, praise and proclamation. Jane says God is looking for those in the Body of Christ who will do as Cyrus did and be ready to take on the spirit and attitude of a warrior for these times.

Simply stated, The Cyrus Decree will release apostolic and prophetic keys to the 21st century Church to liberate captives, transfer wealth, revolutionize nations and build the Kingdom of God!  [endtimes – don’t these people listen when Jesus said my kingdom is not of this world?]

The Cyrus Decree  releases Kingdom keys to empower the individual believer to release power through prophetic proclamations, unlock your wealth and your destiny, utilize your spiritual weapons of war, bring God’s voice to the marketplace, build and restore God’s Church, legislate God’s Kingdom rule, set captives free, conquer idolatrous systems and transfer wealth for building the kingdom…”

Did William Carey Have The Charismatic Holy Spirit Gifts Of Unknown Tongues And Interpretations?

Posted by Job on September 19, 2008

Ever since the rise of the modern Pentecostal/charismatic movement, there has been debate on whether such sign gifts as speaking in and interpreting unknown tongues are for today, or whether they were given only in apostolic times for the purposes of founding the church and spreading the gospel. People who take the latter view in particular often advance the view that tongues and interpretations (along with other sign gifts) were primarily used to spread the gospel to new areas.

Well let us consider the case of William Carey. In Carey’s day, the turn of the 19th century, it was commonly – and quite strongly – believed in Protestant Christianity that it was not the duty of Christians to spread the gospel outside of “Christendom”, or areas with a large Christian presence directly ruled by a Christian state. How this belief actually played out seemed inconsistent and unusual, as it appears that a large self – sustaining colonial presence in North America made it acceptable to proselytize the natives (the so – called Indians), but other areas where there was certainly a western presence was considered to be off – limits. It is fashionable to blame Calvinism for this mindset, but the truth is that Arminians generally followed this practice too: those such as the Wesleys were willing to preach to native Americans, but were no more motivated to offer people in areas lacking a strong western political and military presence or self – sustaining colonial populations a chance to make a decision for Jesus Christ than were the Calvinists in seeking God’s elect. In any case, the prevailing excuses appeared to be that Christians had more than sufficient work tending to the lost (and discipleship of the found) among their own countrymen to worry about seeking other sheep elsewhere, and that the great commission was a command given only to the apostles, not to the modern church. It also appears that at least some Protestants downplayed the importance of missionary work precisely because the Roman Catholics were so involved in it: anything that Rome was doing was to them by definition suspect!

Other Protestants, including the Moravians (Lutherans) had challenged those notions in the past, but Carey, a Baptist of Calvinistic extraction, is considered the father of modern missions because the missionary movement that he began, against vehement opposition of the religious establishment of his day, was one that has been sustained, imitated, and replicated until this day. As an odd curiosity, however, the man who started the movement that resulted in such a rapid spread of Christianity and countless saved souls around the world only himself successfully baptized and evangelized a few converts.

However, one area where Carey was far more successful at was in translating the Bible! It is said that Carey had an obvious talent, a rare proficiency and inclination, for learning languages and doing translation work. You can even call it A GIFT. (For an idea of the source of this gift according to my estimation, read passages related to Exodus 28:3Exodus 31:3Exodus 35:31Numbers 24:2Judges 3:10 and similar.)  It is said that he translated the Bible, either completely or in part, in 35 different languages! That does not even include his attempt to make a book of translation of Sanskrit literature and a polyglot dictionary of Sanskrit and related languages, which would have been a huge contribution to the field of linguistics that would have been a great help to scholars in translation work to this day had the irreplaceable manuscripts not been destroyed in a fire. (As a side note, it is also said that the day that Carey finally baptized his first convert on the mission field, Krishna Pal, his wife was confined to her room as a result of having lost her mind!. Spiritual warfare is real people!)

So, this William Carey, a minister of the Particular Baptist movement of the Reformed Christian faith, in my estimation possessed a gift given by the Holy Spirit that was used to found the church in a place that it did exist by transferring the gospel of Jesus Christ and the Word of God from a tongue (language) unknown to the people in this area to a tongue that was known to them. It was an apostolic gift given to a man who filled an apostolic task. Perhaps the best evidence of this was Carey’s commitment to justice for the poor by opposing the caste system, especially by way of his daring decision to have his converts not obey the caste system (part of the Hindu religion), in particular by allowing two Christian converts from separate castes, a Sudra and a Brahmin, marry. To this day Christianity is growing fastest among the greatly oppressed and impoverished untouchable caste of India, a group called the Christian Dalits. (It is also interesting that Carey made the decision to model his missionary community somewhat after the Bible’s description of the communal living of the early Jerusalem church in Acts.)

So did William Carey exhibit the Holy Spirit sign gift in the area of tongues, especially their interpretation? Feel free to come to your own conclusion about the matter. But when you look at the videos below, you might be able to guess the direction that I am leaning in and why this is so.

Paul Crouch and Kenneth Copeland Question The Deity of Jesus Christ Plus Other Word of Faith Follies

Posted by Job on July 5, 2008

Courtesy of – actually wholesale lifted from – Slice of Laodicea.

John Avanzini claiming that God desires to create other little gods. (Mormonism does not go that far … Mormonism claims that their god tried to PREVENT man from progressing to godhood, and therefore Adam and Eve’s rebellion was beneficial in that it allowed man to do so.)

Kenneth Copeland: God the Father is from another planet. (Mormonism!)

Here Paul Crouch and Kenneth Copeland: was Jesus Christ really God? (Makes their potentially financially lucractive push into Islamic countries easier if they drop the whole Trinity – deity thing.)

Benny Hinn teaches: we are little gods.

Kenneth Copeland: Adam was God (Mormonism).

Article exposing that Word of Faith came out of the mind sciences.

How many sheeple are going to follow Copeland, Hinn, Crouch, etc. anyway?

CNN: Believer Bitter Over Prosperity Teachings

Posted by Job on July 5, 2008

See this story which Slice of Laodicea directed me to.

The message flickered into Cindy Fleenor’s living room each night: Be faithful in how you live and how you give, the television preachers said, and God will shower you with material riches. And so the 53-year-old accountant from the Tampa, Florida, area pledged $500 a year to Joyce Meyer, the evangelist whose frank talk about recovering from childhood sexual abuse was so inspirational. She wrote checks to flamboyant faith healer Benny Hinn and a local preacher-made-good, Paula White.

Only the blessings didn’t come. Fleenor ended up borrowing money from friends and payday loan companies just to buy groceries. At first she believed the explanation given on television: Her faith wasn’t strong enough.

“I wanted to believe God wanted to do something great with me like he was doing with them,” she said. “I’m angry and bitter about it. Right now, I don’t watch anyone on TV hardly.”

All three of the groups Fleenor supported are among six major Christian television ministries under scrutiny by a senator who is asking questions about the evangelists’ lavish spending and possible abuses of their tax-exempt status.

The probe by Sen. Charles Grassley of Iowa, the ranking Republican on the Senate Finance Committee, has brought new scrutiny to the underlying belief that brings in millions of dollars and fills churches from Atlanta to Los Angeles — the “Gospel of Prosperity,” or the notion that God wants to bless the faithful with earthly riches.

All six ministries under investigation preach the prosperity gospel to varying degrees.

Proponents call it a biblically sound message of hope. Others say it is a distortion that makes evangelists rich and preys on the vulnerable. They say it has evolved from “it’s all right to make money” to it’s all right for the pastor to drive a Bentley, live in an oceanside home and travel by private jet. “More and more people are desperate and grasping at straws and want something that will alleviate their pain or financial crisis,” said Michael Palmer, dean of the divinity school at Regent University, founded by Pat Robertson. “It’s a growing problem.”

The modern-day prosperity movement can largely be traced back to evangelist Oral Roberts’ teachings. Roberts’ disciples have spread his theology and vocabulary (Roberts and other evangelists, such as Meyer, call their donors “partners.”) And several popular prosperity preachers, including some now under investigation, have served on the Oral Roberts University board.

Grassley is asking the ministries for financial records on salaries, spending practices, private jets and other perks. The investigation, coupled with a financial scandal at ORU that forced out Roberts’ son and heir, Richard, has some wondering whether the prosperity gospel is facing a day of reckoning.

While few expect the movement to disappear, the scrutiny could force greater financial transparency and oversight in a movement known for secrecy.

Most scholars trace the origins of prosperity theology to E.W. Kenyon, an evangelical pastor from the first half of the 20th century.

But it wasn’t until the postwar era — and a pair of evangelists from Tulsa, Oklahoma — that “health and wealth” theology became a fixture in Pentecostal and charismatic churches.

Oral Roberts and Kenneth Hagin — and later, Kenneth Copeland — trained tens of thousands of evangelists with a message that resonated with an emerging middle class, said David Edwin Harrell Jr., a Roberts biographer. Copeland is among those now being investigated.

“What Oral did was develop a theology that made it OK to prosper,” Harrell said. “He let Pentecostals be faithful to the old-time truths their grandparents embraced and be part of the modern world, where they could have good jobs and make money.”

The teachings took on various names — “Name It and Claim It,” “Word of Faith,” the prosperity gospel.

Prosperity preachers say that it isn’t all about money — that God’s blessings extend to health, relationships and being well-off enough to help others.

They have Bible verses at the ready to make their case. One oft-cited verse, in Paul’s Second Epistle to the Corinthians, reads: “Yet for your sakes he became poor, that you by his poverty might become rich.”

Critics acknowledge the idea that God wants to bless his followers has a Biblical basis, but say prosperity preachers take verses out of context. The prosperity crowd also fails to acknowledge Biblical accounts that show God doesn’t always reward faithful believers, Palmer said.

The Book of Job is a case study in piety unrewarded, and a chapter in the Book of Hebrews includes a litany of believers who were tortured and martyred, Palmer said.

Yet the prosperity gospel continues to draw crowds, particularly lower- and middle-income people who, critics say, have the greatest motivation and the most to lose. The prosperity message is spreading to black churches, attracting elderly people with disposable incomes, and reaching huge churches in Africa and other developing parts of the world.

One of the teaching’s attractions is that it doesn’t dwell on traditional Christian themes of heaven and hell but on answering pressing concerns of the here and now, said Brian McLaren, a liberal evangelical author and pastor.

But the prosperity gospel, McLaren said, not only preys on the hope of the vulnerable, it puts too much emphasis on individual success and happiness.

“We’ve pretty much ignored what the Bible says about systemic injustice,” he said.

The checks and balances central to Christian denominations are largely lacking in prosperity churches. One of the pastors in the Grassley probe, Bishop Eddie Long of suburban Atlanta, has written that God told him to get rid of the “ungodly governmental structure” of a deacon board.

Some ministers hold up their own wealth as evidence that the teaching works. Atlanta-area pastor Creflo Dollar, who is fighting Grassley’s inquiry, owns a Rolls Royce and multimillion-dollar homes and travels in a church-owned Learjet.

In a letter to Grassley, Dollar’s attorney calls the prosperity gospel a “deeply held religious belief” grounded in Scripture and therefore a protected religious freedom. Grassley has said his probe is not about theology.

But even some prosperity gospel critics — like the Rev. Adam Hamilton of 15,000-member United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in suburban Kansas City, Missouri — say that the investigation is entering a minefield.

“How do you determine how much money a minister like this is able to make when the basic theology is that wealth is OK?” said Hamilton, an Oral Roberts graduate who later left the charismatic movement. “That gets into theological questions.”

There is evidence of change. Joyce Meyer Ministries, for one, enacted financial reforms in recent years, including making audited financial statements public.

Meyer, who has promised to cooperate fully with Grassley, issued a statement emphasizing that a prosperity gospel “that solely equates blessing with financial gain is out of balance and could damage a person’s walk with God.”

Which displayed how John Hagee twisted the parable of the sower in his efforts to promote the false prosperity doctrine. It does not matter that he removed the video, because I wrote the details in text anyway, in case this might occur.

The video was only about 30 seconds in length and was part of one of his 30 minute TV broadcasts and that 30 minutes was part of a multi-part series he was giving on his false prosperity doctrine. So I feel a 30 second clip was WELL within Fair Use guidelines. I was using the video for non-profit educational purposes only, I never charged anyone to see it and made it freely available on YouTube and allowed others to share and embed it on their sites if they desired. So I will exercise the option to counter the claim made against the video.

This was the third time these pimps have cried that a video I uploaded exposed them as false teachers on YouTube. First Benny Hinn, then Medina S. Pullings and now John Hagee. So YouTube has suspended my account.

We’ll see if my counter to the claim under Fair Use for a 30 second video is successful. Also I hear e-mails by YouTube users to copyright@youtube.com sometimes helps in getting an account restored. (My account ID was IndependentConserv.) However I’m not really overly concerned if the account is never restored. Because as many of you know, I’ve been warning everyone to have more than YouTube as an option and you might already know I had not used YouTube for uploading anything in some time. I’ve been using another service instead and will continue using others if YouTube is not an option.

But while the YouTube account is gone, so are all videos I uploaded there. (The playlists still appear to work though.) As I’ve mentioned in the past, I only use sites like YouTube as a secondary video dump, to save myself bandwidth expenses. I knew the pimps would get it shut down one day and honestly it took them way longer than I expected. And in the time the account was up, the Lord allowed me to see MANY come to see the deception being played on saints in the Lord’s name and receive MANY testimonies from people who learned from the videos to stop following pimps.

So glory to God through Jesus Christ, the mission was more than accomplished before the pimps could shut anything down. The Lord’s will be done!

Why Is Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship Angry?

Posted by Job on May 29, 2008

Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship – the home of the liars and perjurers including John Arnott and Steve Long – are upset for being exposed for what they truly are sons of disobedience and sons of hell  and are taking at least one former member to court contrary to scriptures to protest about his books which are too hot for them to handle!

They are also upset because this former member has asked  “So for the good of all Canadians and the rule of law, the Honorable Prime Minister of Canada, Stephen Harper, through the different Canadian Government agencies, should order an immediate investigation of this nonprofit charity Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship and ensure that it’s nonprofit corporation status be revoked especially as the executives of TACF have used the charity to pay off their mortgages and purchase luxury cars tax free. See http://www.fstdt.com/forums/thread.aspx?t=15245 and http://cnt10c.tripod.com/tb.htm

They are also upset because this former member has asked the government authorities to investigate why it is okay for TACF Vice President Steve Long to publically solicit by mail for tax free funds to pay off TACF President John Arnott mortgage but  not publically solicit by mail to pay for this former member mortgage as well as all his legal costs as a result of TACF nonprofit charity suing this former member because he blew the whistle on their crimes, thievery, hypocrisy, lies, perjury, sins, etc.

It’s also amazing that we have operating freely in Toronto Canada,  liars, perjurers and thieves in Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship including John Arnott and Steve Long with impunity or without rebuke from anybody about their financial crimes, their hate crimes, lies and perjury!

But it’s not amazing that these scoundrels, liars, and perjurers would not submit  as per “The order of Justice James H. Clarke of  January 15, 2008” which stated “ THIS COURT ORDERS THAT the Defendants shall serve on the Plaintiff by email and file their Statement of Defense within ten days,”  a Statement of Defense to this former member regarding his $100 million dollar Lawsuit Court File No: 6447/07 filed in Milton, Ontario, with the Superior Court of Ontario and now revised to $ 300 million.

And if this Christian nonprofit charity TACF and its executives John Arnott and Steve Long can defy and ignore the order of  Justice James H. Clarke and do whatever they want so can every other Canadian.  Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship sets by its example that any Christian can be lawless, liars, thieves, and perjurers and not respect the rule of law!

Jephthah In Judges: Why You Cannot Bribe God!

Posted by Job on May 12, 2008

Have you ever tried to bargain with God? Negotiate with Him? Have you ever made your service to Him conditional? Let me give you an example: have you ever prayed to God and told Him: “Lord, if you give me this I will do that for you”? “Lord, if you get me out of this situation, I will serve you for the rest of my life?”

Such tactics are commonly practiced in Christianity, and reinforced not only by the sermons and devotionals of so many preachers but even in depictions of Christians in the popular culture i.e. media, literature, etc. As a result, Christians are unaware that this has no resemblance whatsoever to Biblical Christianity. Instead, the concept of bribing God with oaths, promises, sacrifices, tithes, works, service, etc. was imported into Christianity from paganism. The few examples of where anything like this was done by servants of God was in cases where the person making the request had not actively been serving God and for that reason had little knowledge of the true nature of God. Such examples include Moses at the burning bush, Gideon’s demanding that the angel demonstrate to him that God had legitimately called him, Samuel’s sacrifice before a battle rather than waiting on Samuel, and Jephthah’s oath. The behavior of these men before – and in the cases of Gideon, Samuel and Jephthah after – being used by God to fight battles demonstrates that their dealmaking ways before the God of heaven should not be our model for Christian practice and service.

The principle that we can treat God as a corrupt mafia boss or politician that we can bribe or some equal that we can barter with is integral to the prosperity doctrine, the Word of Faith, and much of the way that Christianity, especially charismatic and Roman Catholic Christianity, is practiced in general: doctrines and attitudes that take the God of Heaven as some pagan genie in a lamp. I referenced paganism because the document below makes it clear that treating deities in this manner is part of pagan religious systems, and the children of Israel began to emulate this practice by way of viewing the pagan people around them that God warned to drive out. As a result, they forgot about the true nature of the true God and began treating and serving God as if He were Baal. So though they knew the Name of God and called upon His Name and God would answer because they were His people through His covenant with Abraham, they did not personally know God, because their relationship with Him was not after the way God had revealed Himself to Abraham, Moses, etc. Instead, they were trying to relate to God the same way that people in false religions attempt to relate to their false deities. That is a major danger with syncretism (i.e. Yahweh yoga) and a major problem with false Christian doctrines and systems (i.e. Roman Catholicism, a great deal of charismatic Christianity especially the Word of Faith and prosperity doctrines).

People, this document also demonstrates that not everyone who works miracles and does mighty acts in the Name of Jesus Christ is a called servant of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ said so about such people Himself in Matthew 21:31-46! So, supporters of the Benny Hinn Oral Roberts Kenneth Hagin Kenneth Copeland – style preachers, take note!

Tonex Claims That Michael Jackson And Benny Hinn Have The Same Anointing

Posted by Job on April 22, 2008

I mentioned this earlier in On Needing That Anointing Christianity but I decided to give it its own post for the benefit of the Tonex fans that feel the need to come to this site and defend the fellow from time to time in the hopes that they will realize that their loyalty to this fellow is misplaced. Incidentally, please know that Tonex, after retiring from gospel music because he wasn’t making enough money in it (like the pope’s admitting that he entered the priesthood because he wanted a nice car Tonex freely admitted this on one of his many websites that he keeps creating and deleting), found employment with Michael Jackson as a music producer. That, er, MIGHT EXPLAIN Tonex’s endorsement of the Jehovah’s Witness homosexual child molester Jackson as possessing the gifts of the Holy Spirit and using them to edify and minister to people (as opposed to corrupting small boys).

You know, when I owned Tonex’s Out Tha Box concert DVD (which I finally located a few days ago after MONTHS of not being able to find it, and then immediately threw it out with the trash), one of my favorite tracks on it was “Pole Position”, where he gave a brilliantly crafted and delivered piece of oratory (seriously, the fellow is extremely talented!) exhorting the prosperity/Word of Faith doctrine on how if one continued to tithe and give offerings year after year even through times of great financial distress, eventually God would remember and bless you. He used an analogy with the popular Monopoly board game (I am not making this up!) stating that if you just kept rolling the dice, rolling the dice by being faithful in the prosperity/Word of Faith apostolic doctrines, and eventually you would hit Boardwalk, your big payday.

But alas, it appears from Tonex’s own life that said doctrines have a price, the least of which is having to go on a Christian television show and promote not only Benny Hinn (and please recall that Tonex was also an associate of Eddie Long, calling him a “spiritual father” … funny how these Roman Catholic references keep slipping into this Pentecostal madness) but a known homosexual pedophile. That is the truly sad thing: EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT MICHAEL JACKSON IS A HOMOSEXUAL PEDOPHILE, AND YET IT IS PERFECTLY ACCEPTABLE FOR A PASTOR AND GOSPEL ARTIST TO WORK WITH HIM! Of course, to be fair, Tonex is not the only one. Lots of gospel artists, including Andrae Crouch, used to work with Michael Jackson back in the day. The allegations concerning this fellow were not public then, but what did the “industry insiders” know? Then again, did Andrae Crouch work with Michael Jackson (among others including “impregnate a white woman and leave for the next one Quincy Jones”) before, after, or during the time that Donnie McClurkin was sleeping with the men in his choir? Donnie McClurkin says that he is delivered from homosexuality, but that does not prevent him from pastoring and founding churches after fathering a child out of wedlock and never marrying the mother.

My goodness. At some point someone is going to come out and reveal what a cesspool some quarters of the gospel industry is. Then again, Kirk Franklin already did over ten years ago, and it had absolutely no effect whatsoever. The people are deceived because, quite simply, they choose to be. Which means that they are not being deceived at all. And that is why we MUST continue to pray for them, that they would be delivered not so much from the enemy, but from their own rebellious wicked hearts. I should know, for many sincere Christians, from family members to co – workers, tried to warn me about a lot of these people – including Tonex – for quite awhile before I was willing to let them go. So if God did it for me, He can do it for someone else! That is why we should never cease to pray for the people trapped in their own prisons of selfish rebellion.

By the way, how did it come to be that the black gospel industry became dominated by the charismatic/Pentecostal/COGIC/prosperity/Word of Faith types to begin with? Incidentally, a similar trend is happening with Christian rock and Christian contemporary music, as more and more of its artists are coming from the praise and worship teams of megachurches. But as for black gospel (yes I know that this includes acts like Martha Munizzi, Vicki Yohe, and JoAnn Rosario that are not black, I just refuse to say “urban” or similar) I am told that it is due to the “gospel music workshop” scene for which we have COGIC’s JAMES CLEVELAND to thank for – and please recall that this very scene was very important to launching the career of one Tonex – but I am hoping that someone in the know might be able to tell me.

In any event, yet another video showing the depths to which Tonex has sunk (he has rather savvily had his “The Naked Truth” – related videos that are basically profane megalomaniac rants  – including what some allege are self referential allusions to homosexuality – removed from YouTube it appears).

On Needing That Anointing Christianity

Posted by Job on April 14, 2008

Three years ago, I was in dire straits. My family, my health (mental and physical) and my career were all very much at risk. Divorce and unemployment were tangible possibilities. My medication no longer controlled my asthma, but I had a strong emotional and physical dependency on it so I was consuming large quantities of it anyway. I was not addicted to the medication, but I was headed that way. But I WAS, however, addicted to pornography. Further, my kidneys were failing (drug overuse tends to cause that). And I was being continually tormented by terrifying dreams at night as well as fears and mental images during the day that I could not control. I was literally on the road to being one of the many poor homeless fellows with worsening mental and physical problems. And the worst part of it all was that I had no answers!

One of my coping mechanisms during this time: the music of one Anthony Williams Jr., also known as Tonex (among various other aliases). It was not so much that he was an extremely talented singer, musician, producer, and preacher, or that I personally identified with his lyrics and biography, though that was certainly true. It was that I was convinced that this fellow had a powerful anointing about him. I was certain that when I played his music, the power of the Holy Spirit was filling me and whatever space the music was playing in. Whenever the anger, rage, fear, hopelessness, depression, stress, etc. began to overcome me, I would pop in either “Out Tha Box” (disc 1 or 2) or “O2”. (Pronounced Toe – Nay was for “praise and worship time.”) I would contemplate the lyrics – although honestly not nearly so much as the music, ESPECIALLY the beats! – and pretty soon I would be speaking in tongues (then again maybe not), receiving all sorts of prophetic words from the Lord on how to take control of my situation (which were actually rather hit or miss) and pretty soon as a result of the powerful anointing felt recharged, renewed, rededicated pressed down shaken together running overflow ye are gods children of the most high. For a few hours, that is. But no matter, I had plenty of other similar CDs, as well as my array of pastors and teachers on TBN, the Word Network, and similar, to pick me up again. But Tonex’s music was “the heavy artillery” which I resorted to when things got really bad, in times of crisis and emergency. Why? Didn’t want to cheapen, degrade, or devalue “the anointing.” Let me just say that the Yolanda Adams intro of “Out Tha Box” where she introduces the fellow as “the most anointed man in this city, in this country, in this world!” did not offend me in the least. After all, it wasn’t THAT FAR OFF, so why quibble? And the fact that he had a woman whose lifestyle and career choices did not reflect Tonex’s holiness or hell doctrines to begin with? Hey, Tonex had a powerful anointing, so that didn’t matter.

And neither did the scandals, doctrinal errors, failed prophecies, etc. of any of the other people that I was following (or at least defending their works and their anointing): the Crouch family, TD Jakes (never a favorite of mine but I supported him because of so many of my fellow travelers did, so it was important to have UNITY), Paula White, Eddie Long, Creflo Dollar (who professes an anointing so great that regular folks are no allowed to touch him), Kenneth Copeland, Paul Morton, Juanita Bynum, Jesse DuPlantis (whose anointing stopped Hurricane Katrina from flooding his part of the city and redirected it to Paul Morton’s instead), Charles Capps (whose anointed reading of scripture revealed to him the fact that there were not one but TWO creations!), Shepherd’s Chapel, Pat Robertson (whose anointing predicted that such a hurricane would strike America because of abortion and gay rights), John Hagee (who predicted a war with Iran by 2007 with Jesus Christ coming back a few months after), Kenneth Hagin, Angie Ray, John Eckhardt, Keith Butler, Dr. Shine, Rod Parsley, Fred Price, Jamal Harrison – Bryant (I cheered the day that Harrison – Bryant announced that his Empowerment Temple was the first African Methodist Episcopal church to be prominently featured on TBN!) and so on. And other preachers that did not appear to me to have much anointing like Joel Osteen and Joyce Meyer I found encouraging and reassuring. So yes, I was exposed to constant anointings and reassurings during this troubled time.

Now the problems that I was going through were so severe that I missed quite a bit of work. Which was a good thing, because it gave me a chance to see two particularly anointed preachers around lunchtime on The Church Channel (although to tell you the truth I watched them plenty at work because I had downloaded the TBN viewer applet onto my desktop, and also watched them on The Word Network’s website, and there was also StreamingFaith.com!) Word of Faith preacher Andrew Wommack and Benny Hinn trainee Zachery Tims (the latter for entertainment, the former for doctrine). It so happened that on Wommack’s show, he made the case that what Jesus Christ did on the cross was finished and could not be added to by man. I did not believe it, because it contradicted my “faith plus works to justify you and maintain your salvation” holiness or hell doctrine that I had been brought up in and seemed perfectly logical to my human intellect, but HE HAD SCRIPTURES! Also, I had a lot of time and trust invested in this fellow (not to mention money, having bought several of his books). So, I believed, and that was the beginning of the end of my financial, family, emotional, and health problems. (The tithing, fasting, hit or miss prophesying, frequent church attendance followed by watching Christian television and listening to Christian radio, sowing seeds into anointed ministries, the emergency calls to the Pat Robertson and Paul Crouch prayer lines, the frequent emails to Jesse DuPlantis, the books, DVDs, tapes … well they did not actually work.)

Now not long before this, I had found out that T.D. Jakes was a oneness pentecostal. Again, though never a huge T.D. Jakes fan, it gave me pause, because LOTS of people were affiliated with the guy, including George W. and Jeb Bush, of whom I was HUGE FANS! Hey, the guy had an anointing and had done some mighty things, so God would straighten him out. But after believing in sola fide, faith alone, instead of faith plus works, well hey, doctrinal error now seemed to MATTER, and so did people who hung around them. So, that reduced my huge array of pastors and teachers that I was following, because LOTS of them were connected to Jakes by few degrees of separation! And yes, LOTS of folks were preaching the same thing that he did. But they had such powerful anointing and had done so many great things! Yes, but I had to follow my Trinitarian God rather than men, so that meant also rejecting the pastors who lacked the scruples required to reject the false doctrine purveyors, or to warn people against them. I knew that not all these pastors had been blessed with a great anointing, but the lack of a great anointing was no excuse for having a little principle and courage and doing what was right.

The result: this left me with a lot of spare time on my hands. Had to seek out other ministries. One was Bill Keller, whom I initially persecuted with frequent emails defending the prosperity doctrine that I still believed in. Prosperity, after all, was the sign of having an anointing! Keller failed to dissuade me, but radio preacher Bob George – who runs a call in show – did. Now I had read 1 Timothy 6 many a time, but never understood that IT SPECIFICALLY REJECTS THE PROSPERITY DOCTRINE until he explained it to me. Why did I listen to George and not Keller? Maybe it had something to do with George and the caller catching my attention just prior by pointing out that Fred Price claimed that Jesus Christ had to be born again. The caller wanted to know if it was OK to still listen to Price anyway on the account of the other great truths that Price gave. George acknowledged Price’s great oratorical skills, but stated that people who preach his doctrines had reprobate minds. Any truth that you can get from those that had reprobate minds can be gained elsewhere. So, crossing off the reprobate mind prosperity/Word of Faith folk – and those who would not separate from them – left still more time on my hands, and left me conflicted and confused about the legitimacy of my salvation. After all, I had learned of Christ by virtue of having been raised Pentecostal Holiness, and had believed on Christ’s work because a Word of Faith preacher had told me about it.

Result? TONEX TIME! If I ever needed a pick – me – up, it was now! After all, it had been awhile since I had spoken in tongues or heard a prophecy or revelation from God, so I needed to “get tightened up.” It had been a very long time, so long that I had actually misplaced the “Out Tha Box” concert DVD, so I put in “O2”, and started waiting for the anointing so that I could do the old “goose myself spiritually” thing and start speaking in tongues. (The ability to initiate speaking in tongues was a special gift that I had, a product of my anointing, that I had found quite useful many a time.) But something wasn’t right. I didn’t really FEEL it. And whereas before, my unknown tongues gift flowed freely and purely, even at times producing words that I was CERTAIN was Hebrew, this time it was choppy, broken, intermittent, and sounded rather like a clucking chicken. Also, I couldn’t really get into Tonex’s lyrics. Didn’t line up with what I was reading in the Bible at the time. Now my inability to speak in tongues anymore was really frightening me. It was my secret internal proof that I was actually saved! I guess I had no choice left other than to just believe Romans 10 and let it go.

And no more revelation, no more words from the Lord? Now I had actually been hearing so many revelations – it was a gift what can I say – that I had come to the conclusion that I didn’t really NEED to read my Bible anymore. I mean, the Bible was OK. So long as it was the King James Version. But it was for other, lesser, weaker Christians that lacked by strong faith and great anointing. I could go straight to God Himself and receive direct instructions. Whenever I needed to make a personal, family/marital, financial, spiritual decision, I would just pray, hear my revelation, and go with it. I also was up on future events and what was REALLY going on in the spirit realm, so that was great. But now, goodness, how was I going to make a decision? No choice but to trust God. If good happened? Thank you God. If bad happened, thank you for that too God. The Psalms and Proverbs said to have that attitude anyway. There are more Psalms than ones that promised old covenant Israelites health and wealth after all.

So, I began to throw away the books, CDs, DVDs, etc. that I had, shocked at all the money that I had spent on people that paid complete and total disregard to the basic information that could be found in any beginner’s theology book (which I found can be had very cheaply in the Christian bookstores, very often on clearance in the section obscured by all the best sellers) or even on some theology and apologetics websites. With those gone and plenty of time on my hands (I hate secular television because of the low quality of the writing), that created time for more books: church histories, Bible commentaries, novels, you name it. Not all of them were good. Unless, that is, they were being compared to the stuff that I had been throwing away. But there were a few things that I saved. I have not yet seen fit to get rid of my Derek Prince or Frank Hammond materials, probably because of my bias towards books and because they do not call themselves prophets or apostles. And I also kept my 3 Tonex CDs, even though I no longer felt motivated to buy his subsequent releases or replace the mysteriously vanished concert DVD.

That is, until the other day. I was not angry, depressed, fearful, or tormented by uncontrolled thoughts and images. Those problems are long gone. Following a tip in a devotional sent to me by Word of Faith preacher Keith Butler (whose prophecy that he would win a U.S. Senate seat fell far short) put the Book of Revelation on my Ipod and would listen to it through my headphones all night. (I wasn’t getting any sleep due to the nightmares anyway!) A few weeks later, I canceled my daily devotional from Butler upon reading him assert in it that all Christians should be able to speak in tongues. That idea that he passed on to me ended years of sleepless nights and torment, but hey, I have to follow God rather than man! Besides, Keith Butler is down with Kenneth Copeland anyway.

I just wanted to hear some uptempo music with a beat while driving around. So I got my long – neglected copy of “O2.” Man, I used to LOVE that album, the music was GENIUS! Intro … who cares. First track … boring. Second track … boring. Third track … well, I never really liked it to begin with. I know … I will just go straight to my favorite … track 15, the one that I would go to when I absolutely positively NEEDED to start speaking in tongues … TUMBLIN’! It was not as good as I remembered, but it was getting the job done. UNTIL I got to the point where Tonex states “Want the anointing gotta go through something.” This was after “Name it claim it.”

By this time, I was aware that the “anointing” that I had been so zealously seeking and pledging my loyalty to ministers based on their possessing it? Well first of all, “to anoint” means (roughly) “to choose.” Jesus Christ? Christ comes from “Christos” in Greek (though some transliterate it differently) which means “the Anointed One.” Or “the Chosen One.” So … the way that this Christian scene had been trading around this term, as if it was some special spiritual quality whose possession was so powerful and rare that it compensated for their false doctrines and practices, extramarital affairs, criminal acts, FAILED PROPHECIES, etc. was clearly exploiting people who were unaware of how the Bible actually generally used the word (there is only one usage that can justify how it is commonly used today), and such exploited people generally did not check the concordance that appears helpfully appended to the back of many Bibles to find out for themselves (as I did not).

Also, “anointing” was being used as a shorthand for “gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit.” So why not just say “gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit?” Because

1. the Bible makes it clear that gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit cannot be bought with money, as Peter told Simon the magician in Acts. Which also means that it cannot be EARNED through works, which includes tithing, “sowing seed offerings”, etc.

2. gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit are given to all believers according to the Holy Spirit’s discretion. So no Christian has special status based on which gifts he has. To the limited extent to which a Christian has over which gift he receives, he is to “earnestly seek the best gifts”, which are NOT the ones that the current Christian environment esteems.

3. Fruits of the Holy Spirit (i.e. charity) are more important than the gifts of the Holy Spirit. One of the things that I threw away was a DVD by Jesse DuPlantis on fruits of the Holy Spirit that CONTAINED NO ACTUAL INFORMATION AT ALL. Maturity, power, and effectiveness of service in a Christian come by virtue of the fruits, not the gifts, and particularly not the sign gifts.

4. There are no “special anointings”, “double and triple portions”, or special “spirits” (i.e. a warrior spirit or an Esther anointing or a Mary spirit). There is only the Holy Spirit. One Lord. One Faith. One Baptism. At the very most, you can claim to have similar gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit as another believer, and even there one must have sound consistent Biblical and doctrinal basis – and exhibit evidence that can be confirmed by the witness of two or more believers in good standing – before claiming such.

5. The Holy Spirit is a permanent indwelling of every single believer. There are no “temporary anointings” which the people that dance out of their clothes, overturn chairs and pews, steamroll small children, and kick and elbow people trying to restrain them purport to need in order to receive their healing, their deliverance, their breakthrough, their blessing, or (as I was taught in the church that I grew up in) to provide evidence that your saying the sinner’s prayer “actually worked.” Yes, some people had to go to the altar call several times on successive weeks, say the sinner’s prayer each time, shout and dance each time, speak in tongues each time, etc. before the pastor declared their salvation experience to be legitimate.

6. the Bible declares that those who purport to possess the Holy Spirit must show evidence by continuously living a Godly lifestyle of humility and obedience, including preachers (and hip/hop gospel singers) whose sermon lyrics are reflected in their character and lives. Obviously possessing “anointings” is not encumbered with this same requirement.

7. The Holy Spirit is God, which brings discipline and order. Pastors with “great anointings”, however, tend to have great confusion not only in their church services, but also in their financial dealings and personal lives.

8. Related to 6. and the most important, it is LOVE that covers a multitude of transgressions (not to be mistaken for a continuous sinful lifestyle or willful rejection of Bible doctrines), not an “anointing.” Please note that what is often taken for “anointing” are things like skillful preaching ability, amazing church growth, tongues, casting out devils, healing, etc. are associated with the gifts of the Holy Spirit (and not the edifying gifts, or “the best gifts” that we should earnestly seek at that … people with the gift of giving or the gift of helps are rarely considered to have a powerful anointing and call on their lives!). Love, meanwhile, is a fruit of the Holy Spirit.

So, I removed Anthony “Tonex” Williams’ from my radio, and will probably throw it out in the garbage when I get home. Speaking of Tonex, for your viewing pleasure, he will illustrate what I have just told you – including information about my past that is 100% true – in the video clip below where he discusses the nature of “the anointing.” He states that one does not have to be a believer in Jesus Christ to understand it or benefit from it, and compares the anointing of Michael Jackson (for whom he is a paid music producer) to the anointing of Benny Hinn.

In closing, notice all of the things related to spiritual warfare, casting out demons, that I feature prominently. One of the reasons why I was so loyal to Tonex was that it was very effective to play his music while casting out evil spirits. Nevertheless, his music must be cast aside by me, because the video below makes explicit why we have to follow God rather than men.

Update from AndyB: He identified for me the source of all of this charismatic “anointing” confusion. It is a sole passage: 1 John 2:20-27, which employs the Greek word “chrisma”, which is sometimes translated as “unction.” (I suppose that when I would “goose myself” to speak in tongues, I was providing my own “unction”?) Here is the link to what the word ACTUALLY MEANS in the online BlueLetterBible Concordance. And here is AndyB’s context of the word: “And here I thought the anointing (”unction”) we received in the form of the Holy Spirit was the ability to discern God’s truth from the world’s cheap imitations. 1 John 2:20-21

What If Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyer, Paula White, Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, And T.D. Jakes Were RACIST?

Posted by Job on April 10, 2008

And Pat Robertson, Robert Schuller, Oral Roberts, the Crouch family, Juanita Bynum, Creflo Dollar, Eddie Long, and whoever else you wanted to name? Take Paula White in particular, who has (or until very recently HAD) a predominantly black church in Tampa, Florida and has the #1 rated show on Black Entertainment Television. Suppose this women were to start preaching that I.Q. tests have proven blacks to be genetically less intelligent than whites (after a manner of “The Bell Curve”) and that black culture is inferior (after Dinesh D’Souza’s “The End of Racism). Suppose that she were to say that she supports the Confederate flag, that her ancestors were slaveowners and that she was proud of that fact, and that the nation was better off from segregation because it protected whites – especially women like her – from black crime, the inevitable product of lowered black IQ and of inferior black culture. And that our low IQs and inferior cultures are due to our being the cursed descendants of Ham/Canaan, and that America had tried to remove the effects of the curse with slavery, generous welfare and social spending, affirmative action, etc. but it is just impossible for man to undo what God has declared. And so on. Would her black parishioners leave (not to mention a good percentage of the white ones)? Would she remain on TBN and the other Christian broadcasting networks, to speak nothing of BET?

Of course not. So then, why are these same people so forgiving when it comes to pastors that commit adultery (and this includes GETTING DIVORCED AND REMARRYING, READ Matthew 19:9), who steal, cheat, lie, preach false doctrines, and violate so many other things that the Bible plainly says (including that women cannot preach!) on a regular basis? It is simple: worldliness. The world has declared racism to be one of the greatest and most unforgivable evils of human history. So the person that commits racism is not to be tolerated in any context. But disobey the Bible? Who cares! That person is still called by God and has a powerful ministry and anointing! Consider their fruits, all the people that they have gotten saved and their works of charity! Instead of tearing them down, causing division, and making the church look bad, pray and ask that God restore them! Touch not mine anointed and do my prophet no harm! And pull the beam out of your own eye before you pluck the mote out of Brother (or Sister) Pulpit Pimp, thus saith the sheeple! (I hate both terms, but that is what they are.)

Are you aware that one of the books in the Bible is named after a slave owner? Philemon is the name. Yet if a pastor owned slaves in this day and time, virtually no one would sit in his church. Yet at any given time you can find any number of convicted felons, sex perverts, and blaspheming heretics running their synagogues of Satan any which way they choose, and instead of saying “hey, this wickedness is just what the Bible warns against in Revelation 2 and 3 and in other places”, folks are much faster to “prophesy” against the people that actually care about what the Bible says. Well, if the followers of these preachers don’t care if their pastors obey the Bible, how on earth can they criticize the unsaved for not doing so? On what basis will the unsaved be condemned? You say “Well, the Bible says that believing in Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven.” You mean, the same Bible that you IGNORE when it says that Christianity is not for getting rich, and that we are to prefer the poor over the rich instead of the other way around? The same Bible that you IGNORE when it reveals the reality of Trinity? The same Bible that you IGNORE when it says that not everyone will speak in tongues, that “sign gifts” are not to be used as evidence of salvation, and that “slain in the spirit” is confusion to be banned from the church? Or that we are not to follow or fellowship with those who reject sound doctrine? And so on? If you are not going to judge YOURSELF by what the Bible says regarding those things, how can you use that same Bible to hold someone’s not accepting Jesus Christ over their heads?

For instance, Carlton Pearson’s congregation up and left when the fellow started advocating universalism. But what about all of the other false doctrines that this fellow from the Oral Roberts school of Word of Faith/prosperity/confusion was espousing? I suppose that is where such Christians draw the line. The notion that you can get to heaven without believing in Jesus Christ offends them, because they still want to be better than everybody else. They still want to be special. They want to be able to claim to be a peculiar people, blessed and highly favored, anointed, a royal priesthood, and all of those things for themselves, but not give them away to anybody else. But this is the issue: THEY DO NOT WANT TO OBEY THE BIBLE IN ORDER TO BE AND RECEIVE THOSE THINGS. So, these same people who beg for tolerance and forgiveness on behalf of their pastors and themselves for claiming to believe in Jesus Christ while not obeying Him are denying that same tolerance and forgiveness to everyone else. Ones such as those, people, are the real hypocrites, and the Bible itself says that people like that will be judged most harshly of all.

So if hearing that Eddie Long, Creflo Dollar, John Hagee, and Jamal – Harrison Bryant are no better than Ku Klux Klansmen offends you, well I am sorry, but it is still true. The folks who followed the Ku Klux Klan will get the same reward as the people who follow these false preachers on judgment day, and unless you turn aside from these wicked men and women and start seeking after God’s righteousness, all of you spiritual Klansmen will spend an eternity in the lake of fire together! Do not let the standards of the world determine what is acceptable for your pastor, for your church, or for you. Instead, allow the Bible to determine it. Rest assured, there is no excuse for not doing your level best to submit yourself to the standard of the Bible, or for following pastors and fellowshipping with others that refuse to.

Those who hear the shepherd (Jesus Christ) and follow His voice (the Bible) will be saved. All else are not His sheep will perish. But for a lot of you, it would be so much better were some tape of your favorite Pulpit Pimp railing against blacks (or whites), Jews, Asians, etc. were to be found to prove that these people were never called by God and are not following Him, since hearing these people all but come out and deny Jesus Christ with their very lips is not sufficient. Oh but that it were that simple, but it appears that for a lot of you it is precisely that sort of thing that it will take, because for you the Bible itself is just not good enough. Answering A Benny Hinn Defender Point By Point

Posted by Job on April 8, 2008

It was a response to the post below:

Benny Hinn Trick Exposed! Oh Yes, And More Paula White And Joel Osteen Stuff

Job Says:
April 8, 2008 at 7:53 am e

Christ’s Ambassador:

“People why are we saying these horrible things?”

Because the things that we say are true.

“Just calling everyone a fake and a liar by so- called exposing them.”

We are not so – called exposing them. We are exposing them. I myself was following most of the false preachers that I am now exposing until I ran across a website that exposed them. It was http://sliceoflaodicea.com. You should go there.

“Instead of just exposing them PRAY FOR THEM!”

If I did that, then how would people know the truth?

“Many people don’t realize how hard it is when the spotlight on you and at times you may lose your way but, pray that they find it again.”

Give me one example of a dishonest televangelist that has found their way again. Of course you cannot, because that would mean your admitting that these people are false to begin with, which you clearly do not believe.

“I thank GOD he not like man who will throw you away after you have done wrong and scandlaize you.”

Everyone that does not worship Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will be cast into the lake of fire. What Bible are you reading?

“People please becareful not to mess with GOD’s annointed people I would sure hate for GOD to take his wrath out on me because I touched one of his annointings.”

Apostates, heretics, and blasphemers are not God’s anointed. You probably thing Ahab, Jezebel, Herod, etc. were God’s anointed, don’t you? Or the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah? Or the people that perished in the flood? Or Cain? Why are you on here claiming that God is the author of evil, wickedness, and confusion? That is what you are doing by claiming that God called these people to preach.

The last line is key. So many of you followers of these heretical preachers are certain that you are doing the Lord’s work by claiming that you are defending God’s anointed. Well, realize that if you are claiming that God has called someone when He has not, you sin because you lie. The person who holds the false preacher accountable for his sins does no sin. Were that the case, Samuel would have had no right to condemn King Saul for his disobedience. Nathan would not have been able to condemn David for adultery and murder. Were not Saul and David God’s anointed? And yes, Paul would not have been able to rebuke Peter for refusing to have table fellowship with Gentile Christians!

Listen people. Instead of trying to defend your preachers from rebuke, you should realize that the people of God are supposed to accept being corrected. As a matter of fact, refusing correction is a sign of foolishness. The Bible says so. If you spent the amount of time reading your Bible instead of watching all of that TBN, reading all of those devotionals, buying up all of these DVDs and CDs, etc. you would know this. But to help you out, here is a search on reproof on Biblegateway that demonstrates how the people of God SHOULD view being corrected: Biblegateway reproof search.

Your minds have been so twisted by these false doctrines and erroneous interpretations of scripture that you do not understand that the God of the Bible does not want His people to sin or follow false doctrines. The God of the Bible loves us and does not want us to be harmed or deceived. So claiming that you do good by allowing people to continue to deceive and be deceived and that you are sinning by trying to stop it goes against everything that the Bible says about the desire and nature of a loving God. It is so simple, and is verified over and over again in all parts of scripture: the law, the writings, the prophets, the gospels, and the epistles.

The Bible does not say “my people are destroyed because their error was exposed and corrected.” The Bible says “my people are destroyed for the lack of knowledge because they have rejected knowledge!” That is Hosea 4:6. Let me give you the rest of that scripture. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” So no, God is not going to reject ME for telling you that these people are evil blaspheming heretic idolatrous thieving adulterous liars. He will reject YOU for not heeding my warnings to you. The Three Step Salvation Plan

The Brain Of A Typical False Preacher!

Posted by Job on March 29, 2008

This may seem harsh, but it is utterly Biblical! I have “adapted” this from Spiritual Pathways Ministries, who used it to refer to a specific false preacher, but when you realize how the Bible describes the depravity of false preachers and their followers,  the shoe fits them all, so I am going to make them all wear it!

male_brain.png

The specific areas in mind are:

ATTENTION SPAN: If you will notice that cranial area is small. That is the attention they pay to what the Bible actually says, and also the attention that they pay to the words and example of Christians that are actually trying to understand and obey the Bible. Another more medical term for it is lip service and false preachers have plenty of lip.

AVOID PERSONAL QUESTIONS AT ALL COST AREA: This part of the false preacher’s brain functioning is on full alert as they avoids personal questions and accountability to the Bible like the plague. Plague albeit is a good term for their peaching style.

LAME EXCUSES GLAND: This gland is in full operation daily for false preachers (and their followers) as they attempts to justify all sorts of crazy things which proves beyond a shadow of a doubt as to perverted their brain really are and what low energy flow they have. How they (and their supporters) justifies their false doctrines and evil actions  and then peddles it to the world is beyond me.

DANGEROUS PURSUITS AREA: This area of false preacher and follower – or to some vernacular favored by some the pulpit pimp and the sheeple – provides evidence for crazy behavior. The reckless abandon of common sense is evident to all who know the Bible (and even those that have some general idea of morality and propriety by way of God’s common grace) and brain surgery may allow them to lessen their reign of terror upon people.

SEX, SEX: Modern day Christians that defile themselves with the doctrines of Baal, Belial, Jezebel, etc. by following false preachers are known for their shockingly carnal mindset and actions. Is there any wonder why rates of adultery, abortion, divorce, etc. are as high among churchgoers as they are among the regular population? Further, popular preachers and Chri$tian entertainer$ are now routinely selling sexuality for fame and profit: see our series sex sells especially in the church for only part of it! Another ministry as a Christian Erotica section that talks about it even more.

I am sure you will agree that the functioning of the false preacher and false preacher disciple brain explains a lot. Whatever it lacks I’m quite sure that the Lame Excuses Gland will make up for it in abundance. I suppose I could sum up by labeling all this Cranial Crapola. All this comes about by having a reprobate mind (Romans 1:28) to do all those things that are not fitting. It should also be noted that it was God who gave them over to this reprobate mind. For the longest time the brains of – again to use the common vernacular – pulpit pimps and their sheeple have “Become futile in his thoughts and his foolish heart was darkened” Romans 1:21.

Yes, I’m afraid that false preachers and their followers do need some brain surgery to remove many unnecessary functions. I pity the poor surgeon that has to do that task.
