Careful, Washington Post. It almost seems as if you really want me to support this guy. In that article, the campaign says that all Ron Paul needs is a guy like this in each state. Well, if you support this guy, what is your state? After you read http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/06/05/AR2007060502787_2.html?hpid=topnews go to http://www.ronpaul2008.com/ and let him know.

I am normally too apolitical to countenance most of the content on Townhall.com, but this link http://moyer.townhall.com/Default.aspx?mode=post&g=ec8f7d2d-5e0c-4d7d-8ebf-51c0ebad60c3 echoes my sentiments almost exactly. Why “almost”? Because I have certain disqualifiers which include support for abortion rights and gay marriage as well as membership in false religions and cults. Fortunately for me, Paul does not hit on any of my automatic disqualifiers. See cut and pasted text of article below:
Right now, if I had to vote, I would vote for Ron Paul. Most conservatives object to Ron Paul because of his stance on the Iraq war. Paul thinks we should withdrawal from Iraq as quickly as possible. Conservatives concede that his Washingtonian policy of “no foreign entanglements” is a sound one, but they fear his strong stance against the Iraq war translates into a weakness regarding national security. It may, I’m not sure. I don’t want to get into a discussion about Iraq right now. I don’t think because Ron Paul wants to leave Iraq it means he wouldn’t defend our country, it just means he might wait until it’s too late. What if Ron Paul’s foreign policy — which wouldn’t have us intervening in foreign disputes or engaging in “nation-building” — resulted in a country like Iran developing nuclear technology and handing a bomb off to a terrorist cell? What if it resulted in the detonation of a nuclear weapon on US soil? Our previous policies of preemptive and preventative intervention may have stopped this, while Paul’s policies allowed it to occur. This is the problem with Ron Paul.
“Moyer, you idiot, why would you vote for him?”
Well, it’s a hard decision to make, so I’ll explain myself. All of the Democratic candidates are socialists at this point. They don’t even try to hide it; they all want socialized health care and the living wage and every other socialist program you can imagine. The Republicans are only slightly better. They at least make an attempt to promote free markets but they end up growing the size of the government anyway. Except for Ron Paul, who at heart is a Libertarian.
The benefits of having a Libertarian as president, even for only one term, would be countless. Ron Paul wouldn’t just cut government size and spending, he would slay it. He would literally do as much as possible to destroy every socialist program in existence. Paul would change our country for the better in an even more significant way than Reagan.
That is why I would vote for Ron Paul. Every other Republican candidate talks about tax cuts and smaller government but if elected they would change little. A Libertarian would overturn years and years of socialization. That’s what America needs, desperately.
America is not going to crumble because we withdrawal from Iraq. America isn’t going to fall because of a nuclear attack (God forbid). America will fall because we will abandon our commitments to freedom and submit to government control and power in hopes of security and safety. I believe this country will crumble as a result of socialism from the inside long before any foreign force could defeat it from the outside.
At what point shall we expect the approach of danger? By what means shall we fortify against it? Shall we expect some transatlantic military giant, to step the ocean, and crush us at a blow? Never! All the armies of Europe, Asia and Africa combined, with all the treasure of the earth (our own excepted) in their military chest; with a Buonaparte for a commander, could not by force, take a drink from the Ohio, or make a track on the Blue Ridge, in a trial of a thousand years. At what point, then, is the approach of danger to be expected?
I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide. — Abraham Lincoln

http://www.mohammadmossadegh.com/news/ron-paul/ Is anyone out there going to say that this stuff isn’t true? If so, consider the implications: it is the United States’ oil – driven foreign policy and NOT ISRAEL that is the #1 cause of tension in the Middle East. If anything, we are pushing Israel to commit suicide by creating a huge base for perpetual warfare and terror (called a Palestinian state) in order to try to lower the tensions in the region created by our own foreign policy, starting with our putting the shah in power in the 1950s, training what later became Al Qaida to oppose the Soviets in strategically vital Afghanistan in the 1970s, putting Saddam Hussein in power to oppose the shah when Iran became too strong in the 1980s, attacking Iraq in the 1990s when Iraq invaded Kuwait because they were broke from their war with Iran (that we put Saddam in power to start and armed Iraq to fight) and wanted Kuwait’s oil fields, causing Usama bin Laden and Al Qaida to proclaim jihad on us which resulted in the first (courtesy of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, Abdel Rahman and company in the early 1990s) AND second World Trade Center bombings, the USS Cole and African embassy bombings, etc. which (if you buy the party line) led us to our current wars in Afghanistan and Iraq (as well as our inserting ourselves into the Somalia situation, which was done in the first Bush administration as a “humanitarian intervention”, while steering clear of the far worse humanitarian catastrophes regarding the Sudan/Darfur situations). Any comments? Any place where I am wrong? Or where I omitted anything? I wonder when Rudy Giuliani, who is supposedly so strong on national security, intelligence, and foreign policy, is going to answer these questions. You know that he saw some of this intelligence back when he was working for the Justice Department as a U.S. attorney during the 1970s and 1980s. An even better question: when is the media going to make him?

So people are going to stop pretending that the term “blowback” doesn’t exist now? If the GOP is that dumb that they are going to ignore reality just to protect a president that has sold them out and hurt them at every opportunity, then they are so stupid that they DESERVE Hillary Clinton, Barack HUSSEIN Obama, or Mormon Mitt Romney as President. And no, Mr. Martin, it wasn’t “the way that he said it” that offends so many people. It offended them because it was true. Look, even if you SUPPORTED the gulf wars, you have to admit that our conduct of the military operations and the administration of the region have been a complete disaster. Under three Presidents (Clinton, Bush, and another Bush) and three U.N. secretary generals (Boutrous Boutros Gali, Kofi Annan, and Ban Ki – Moon). Bad execution does not negate noble intentions, but noble intentions also do not negate bad execution. We should have either fought the Iraq wars to win them or stayed out. We didn’t do either, either time. People need to quit living in a fantasy world. Who gains by it? Is God pleased by denying the truth? And please quit pretending that you have to prop up Bush, because he doesn’t care about his party or his country. If he did, he’d defend the border, stop the outsourcing of our economy, and do something about China’s economic and foreign policy aggression against us. He does all of this bloviating against Hugo Chavez, yet he gets China into the WTO, so we know that Marxism isn’t an issue with this guy, and neither is Christian persecution. Hey, Republicans, take a word from a guy who left your party in disgust: your only shot at retaining the White House is washing your hands of Bush and figuring out a way to either win in Iraq (which may well be impossible at this point) or getting out of there. It isn’t “cutting and running.” It is acknowledging how Bush took a perfectly winnable war and made it unwinnable, almost as if he wanted a quagmire. But hey, if you folks want to march off a cliff like lemmings to save a guy who wouldn’t even stop tax your money from going to Planned Parenthood, that is your affair. That’s right, Christians, after six long years you are still personally paying for the murder of babies. So go ahead and keep supporting the bad policies of the guy who is making sure that you are a financier of baby – killing. http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/05/18/martin/index.html

See this link: nytimes.com/2007/05/13/business/13lobby.html Let us all give Reagan, Bush, and Bill Clinton too a great big hand. Oh yes, and please take note of how the Catholic – led religious right is going to use Mitt Romney to kick the anti – Christ plot up to the next level. healtheland.wordpress.com/2007/05/12/why-so-many-prominent-catholics-are-supporting-romney/ Bob Novak does SUCH A GREAT JOB RUNNING INTERFERENCE here https://healtheland.wordpress.com/2007/05/13/bob-novak-joins-catholic-chorus-lying-for-romney/ Again, looks like the only GOPer who is going to stand against this anti – Christ plot is Ron Paul (http://www.ronpaul2008.com/). I used to loathe libertarians, but when you consider the alternative …

See this outrageous Bob Novak article in Real Clear Politics (no doubt part of his syndicated column that will appear in newspapers nationwise) and please realize that it is further confirmation of my assertion here healtheland.wordpress.com/2007/05/12/why-so-many-prominent-catholics-are-supporting-romney/. Bob Novak’s lies are even worse than the usual. “The U.S. Constitution prohibits a religious test for public office, but that is precisely what is being posed now. (That is a LIE, one where I expose here healtheland.wordpress.com/2007/05/13/christian-opposition-to-mormon-mitt-romney-is-not-a-religion-test/) There was no such collision 38 years ago when Romney’s father, George, then in his third term as governor of Michigan, unsuccessfully sought the presidential election. Apart from reporters sniping at what were then Mormon exclusionary policies toward blacks, religion was the least of the senior Romney’s political problems. In the intervening four decades, American religiosity has grown (and that is a bad thing?) and Evangelical influence in the Republican Party emerged (apparently so because it decreased the Catholic influence, and now people like Novak want it back).” The Republican whispering campaign against Mormons is broader-based on ridicule of the church’s doctrine. I have heard Republicans who have read the Book of Mormon express astonishment that any rational person could believe that fanciful stuff. These amateur theologians occasionally get mixed up, with some Republicans asserting that Mormons do not believe in the divinity of Christ. The first of Mormon founder Joseph Smith’s 13 Articles of Faith reads: “We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.” It is true that the Mormon understanding of the Trinity is not what is taught by Catholic and most Protestant faiths. But nobody today seeks to disqualify Jews and non-Trinitarian Protestants from high office. This liar Mike Novak knows fully well that Mormons consider Yeshua HaMashiach to be a created being just as do Muslims and Jehovah’s Witnesses, and the Mormon claim of believing in the Trinity is a LIE designed to make them more acceptable to actual Christians, which is becoming more and more obvious that Catholics like Novak ARE NOT. I guess if you believe that the Pope takes the place of Yeshua HaMashiach in the Holy Trinity on earth and that Mary was born without sin, remained a virgin, and takes the place of the Holy Spirit on earth and rules as the Queen of Heaven (making it ODDLY SIMILAR TO MORMON CONTENTIONS THAT JESUS CHRIST WAS THE RESULT OF A SEXUAL UNION BETWEEN GOD AND MARY), then pretty much anything else goes, right? Just like the Catholic practice of “sainting” people for their works is little different from Mormons “progressing to godhood” by virtue of their works. Looks like the same evil spirits working through Catholicism is working through Mormonism, and these demons are sticking together. Oh yes, and since when does the notoriously anti – Semitic and anti – Israel Novak, part of the Pat Buchanan crowd, care about Jews?
Romney wisely has no intention of lecturing America on Mormon theology. Of course not. Tell people that the God of the Bible is just one of many Gods but the only one that you should worship or be concerned with (pantheism) and that Jesus Christ and Satan are spirit brothers who offered competing redemption plans for mankind, and that the Garden of Eden was located in Missouri, and that blacks are the cursed seed of Ham, THEN THE FELLOW WOULD MOST CERTAINLY LOSE! The main goal of Romney and other Mormon evangelists is to convert people to their religion without telling them what Mormonism actually believes! Novak is contributing to their efforts, so now we know what side people like him, Sean Hannity, Kathryn Jean Lopez, etc. are on. Technorati Tag: Bob Novak,Kathryn Jean Lopez, SeanHannity

Here (www.renewamerica.us/columns/gaynor/070506) is a perfect example of what Bill Keller of Live Prayer was talking about regarding conservative Christians’ being completely dishonest in their support of Mormon Mitt Romney, the man who wants you to convert to his false religion, fill you full of demons, and take you to the lake of fire for an eternity. Michael Gaynor, a Catholic, does his best to make Mormonism just another bunch of Christians who do not pray to Mary, angels, and saints with lies like this: “Governor Romney amusingly replied, “This may sound strange to some, but my grandchildren will be eagerly awaiting presents to be delivered to their homes by a bearded man in a red suit led by a pack of flying reindeer. The lead reindeer, by the way, has a red light bulb for a nose — certainly a YouTube scandal waiting to happen.” Mormons celebrate Christmas too!” (This was in response to a softball setup question from the National Review’s Katherine Jean Lopez, another religious right Catholic who is supporting Romney, and actually is denouncing those who are fighting the Lord’s battle by righteously opposing him. Please realize that Kate O’Beirne of the National Review attacked David Kuo, whose book exposed the lies of the Bush administration, merely because Kuo was a Protestant who attacked his Catholic boss. And by the way, since Christmas is a totally Catholic invention that is utterly abiblical as Yeshua HaMashiach our Saviour was born on the Jewish holiday the day of atonement, if you wish to use this as yet another reason to reject Christmas go ahead.) “There are differences between doctrines of churches. But the values at the core of the Christian faith, the Jewish faith and many other religions (note, here Gaynor allows Romney to call Mormonism Christianity unchallenged) are very, very similar and it’s that common basis that we have to support and find ability to draw people to rather than to point out the differences between our faiths. … Because Governor Romney believes in God … (Not only does Gaynor fail to mention that the Mormon god is NOT the Christian one, but by capitalizing the reference to the false Mormon god, he states that the Christian god is the same as the Mormon one. Well, maybe the Catholic god IS the same as the Mormon god, since both groups supersede the Bible for extrabiblical revelation, and both believe in elevation of man by virtue of Catholics praying to Mary and saints. Hey, before you accuse me of Catholic bashing, address your outrage to Catholic Romney defenders like Gaynor, Sean Hannity, Jean Lopez, and O’Beirne.) Exactly! Most Americans don’t want a Satanist in the Oval Office, a good person of any faith will do nicely, and a co-religionist who violates fundamental tenets of his or her and still professes to be a member in good standing will be repudiated by his or her co-religionists. Three Roman Catholics have run for president as a majority party candidate. So, Gershon calls Mormons co – religionists. All right, that is fine. If Gerson wants to make Roman Catholicism another false pseudo – Christian cult, by calling them his co – religionists, then who am I to argue?
Governor Romney explained:“There’s not very much that’s well known about my church because it’s not broadly based throughout the nation with large numbers of people who are adherents. When anything is unknown, people are going to be a little skeptical. But I think, again, as individuals look at my life and my family’s life, they’ll recognize that my values are quintessential American values; that my religious beliefs are consistent with the religious beliefs of other Judeo-Christian faiths, such as a belief in the divinity of God and the need to need to provide service to others, the preeminence of the family unit. These types of elements are what America looks for in a leader.” And rightly so. Well, since Jews apparently hate the term “Judeo – Christian”, then I guess that if that is the term that Gaynor and other Catholics, Mormons, and similar wish to apply to their pseudo – Christian cults as opposed to actual Bible – based Christianity, that is fine with me. As President, Governor Romney would not Mormonize America. He would respect religious liberty and America’s religious heritage instead of trying to trying to transform America into a secular extremist state (like the defunct Soviet Union or France) and to restrict the free exercise of religion guaranteed by the First Amendment to churches, synagogues, temples and mosques. Excuse me, but what would prevent a Muslim, Buddhist, or Satanist from doing the same? “But the particular doctrines of a church I don’t think are a major part in a political sense.” They were not supposed to do so. That’s why the Constitution prohibits a religious test for federal office. All right, the Catholic is LYING here. He knows full well that an invididual or religious group making a decision to oppose Romney because of his religion is not the same as the government or even a political party barring him from running for that reason, and as a matter of fact that the Constitution that he loves so much gives us precisely that right by virtue of freedom of religion and expression. Gaynor is actually demanding that Bible – believing Christians surrender their constitutional rights. In service of whose agenda? As to funding faith-based institutions, Governor Romney pointed out not only that “we don’t fund faith-based institutions, other than when they’re performing a non-faith role,” but also that “some of the faith-based institutions, particularly in the inner city, are doing a lot better job helping the poor, helping kids, helping families get on their feet than some government social service agencies,” concluding that “helping them in their secular role is, of course, fine,” but helping them in a religious role is “unacceptable.” Now this is the main reason why Bible – believing Christians should immediately stop associating with the religious right. Now Mormons are not a worry here, as their church currently opposes receiving state funds (though that could quickly change, just as their church changed their teachings on polygamy to allow Utah to become a state and their more overt racist teachings because of civil rights laws that would have threatened the status of Brigham Young University), make no mistake: Catholics are. Listen: the notion that religious institutions should receive government funds were LONG anathema to the religious right, with prominent exceptions like some segregationists advocating school vouchers so that low – income whites could skirt forced integration policies. That only changed when the conservative movement was merged with TRADITIONALLY DEMOCRATIC CATHOLICS under Ronald Reagan – who lest we forget signed the nation’s most liberal abortion law in the 1960s. The payoff? Reagan was pro – illegal immigration, setting the stage for policies that ultimately let tens of millions of MOSTLY CATHOLIC Hispanics to come into the country, and Reagan appointed two (pro – abortion!) Catholic judges to the Supreme Court in Sandra Day O’Connor and Anthony Kennedy. (The Bushes have since given us three more; Clarence Thomas, John Roberts, and Samuel Alito.) It is hilarious how (Catholic) Rush Limbaugh used to hammer Bill Clinton over the illegal immigration issue when the truth is that Clinton did more to stop illegal immigration than Reagan and both Bushes have combined, and Limbaugh knows it. In any event, there was a REASON why all of these Blaine Amendments were passed when Catholic immigration to this country greatly increased: it has ALWAYS been the agenda of the Vatican to get the government of every nation on the planet to support the Catholic Church with taxes, for the Catholic Church to be paid by the government to deliver government services, for the Catholic Church and the state to “partner” on delivery of services and functions, etc. Now, as the Catholic Church takes on a bigger and bigger role (and can do it cheaper, more efficiently, and better), the state takes on less and less. Pretty soon, it is IMPOSSIBLE for the government to extricate itself from the Catholic Church because the state needs the services that the Catholic Church provides and has no viable alternative. This gives the Catholic Church great influence over the government! We have already seen an example of this with the Catholic Church flexing its muscles by threatening to withdraw its counseling and adoption services when the state attempts to impose the same regulations on the Catholic Church that everyone else who receives state funds has to obey. Now I first began to oppose school vouchers after reading Frank Peretti’s novel “Piercing The Darkness”, but you can just imagine what would happen were a huge percentage of children attending Catholic schools with government funds: the government would try to impose regulation, the Catholic Church would threaten to shut the schools down or kick the voucher kids out, and that would be the end of that! So as we see in this article where Mitt and Ann Romney praise THE VERY SORT OF GOVERNMENT WELFARE THAT THE MORMON CHURCH OPPOSES AND DOES NOT ALLOW ITS OWN MEMBERS TO TAKE, Romney is willing to push the Catholic agenda.
What is REALLY DISTURBING is how the Romneys exploiting inner city blacks in doing so. First of all, we know the racist teachings of Mormons, which despite their claims still influences the church. But realize that this was key to the Reagan strategy of aligning neo – segregationist Christian fundamentalists and conservative Catholics. Please recall that Reagan kicked off his Presidential campaign in Philadelphia, Mississippi, where the civil rights workers were murdered, with a pro – states rights speech. See, the “small government” mantra of conservatives was not the legitimate libertarianism of people like Ron Paul, but rather was code words exploiting the racial anger of whites over Great Society and affirmative action programs meant to uplift blacks as well as the aforementioned forced integration policies. Please realize that many of these same whites supported the New Deal policies of Roosevelt and the similar policies of Truman and Kennedy, back when they only helped whites (please see this book and this article), and also supported farm programs, price supports, and protection of American industry from foreign competition. So, they supported smaller government for blacks, not for themselves! These “neo – conservatives” (not to be confused with Jewish liberals who became conservative when they realized that secularism was a bigger threat to them than was Christianity, though such Jews HAVE gone on to make an odd political alliance with conservative Catholics … please keep in mind that the most recent Vatican council ended active overt attempts by Catholics to convert Jews while non – John Hagee evangelical and fundamentalist Christians still make converting Jews a priority) did the perfect bait – and – switch: getting whites angry at government programs for blacks, and then claiming that churches would do a better job at providing the very programs and services that they opposed in the first place! How was this possible? Simple: it was IMPOSSIBLE to OPENLY ADMIT that the REAL REASON why they opposed these programs was because of their intention to help black people. Instead, they had to build up huge layers of dishonesty, claiming that the reason was that the programs were “inefficient”, “mismanaged”, “abused”, “corrupt”, “harmful to the economy”, and “created dependency and poor values for the very people that the government was supposed to help.” While true, why is this not said for, say, FARM PROGRAMS? Or public schools, which are attended by millions of kids whose parents could easily afford private education (why do places like Beverly Hills and Santa Monica even have public schools)? We do not even want to talk about how much taxpayer money is wasted on building country club public schools for affluent children in order to convince their parents to keep their kids in public schools. But in any event, after awhile, these people began to believe their own lies, and this is even moreso the case with the post – 60s conservatives raised on them: their parents can’t bring themselves to admit the real reason why they switched parties and moved to the suburbs. So, if you cannot say: “I oppose HUD because it takes black people off the street and out of shacks and gives them houses similar to mine” but instead claim “I oppose HUD because it traps black people in poverty”, then you will ultimately start believing your own lie and start supporting giving the very same money that you were giving to HUD to the Catholic Church (and other groups) to house these same black people and call yourself “a small government conservative.” Now PLEASE do not mistake this as a defense for Great Society programs, but rather how illegitimate opposition into them evolved into support for transferring public funding for programs that the church out to be providing anyway WITH CHURCH FUNDS to the Catholic Church (and others).
Now, here is the best example of Romney pushing the Catholic agenda: Further, Governor Romney respects the religious freedom of people of other religions, as illustrated by his urging the Massachusetts Legislature on March 10, 2006 to work with him on “a bill…to ensure that religious institutions are able to participate in the important work of adoption in a way that always respects and never forces them to compromise their firmly held beliefs.” Governor Romney’s press release on the matter read as follows: “DEFENDING RELIGIOUS LIBERTY, ROMNEY TO FILE BILL EXEMPTING RELIGIOUS INSTITUTIONS FROM GAY ADOPTION REQUIREMENT “Calling it an issue of ‘religious liberty,’ Governor Mitt Romney today said he plans to file legislation to permit religious institutions to perform adoptions without violating the tenets of their faith. Now stuff like this is why I am convinced that my most important entry to date on this weblog was my warning that Bible – believing Christians should not allow their opposition to the sin of homosexuality become homophobia, which would open the door to all sorts of demons that would ultimately allow the Christian to be manipulated by the forces of anti – Christ through culture and politics. YES, homosexuality is a sin. But if you are going to receive STATE MONEY and provide STATE SERVICES, you have to abide by STATE RULES. Romney was merely aiding the Catholic Church in a power play and power grab against the state.
Gaynor then invokes John Kennedy (again, if Catholics want to call themselves another pseudo – Christian cult like the Mormons, who am I to argue?) and then writes this ABSOLUTELY CHILLING PASSAGE: “The problem for genuienly religious people of any faith is NOT Governor Romney or his personal religious preference, but secular extremism, which arbitrarily redefined the institutional separation of church and state contemplated by America’s Founders as absolute separation of church and state mandating governmental neutality between religion and irreligion and prohibiting governmental support for religion generally, as though America is an agnostic or atheistic country. Governor Romney may be the person who paves the way for a return to the constitutional path suddenly abandoned by the United States Supreme Court in 1947 and resulting in a number of other judicial activist Supreme Court decisions as the Court slid down a slippery slope after leaving the constitutional path. Like President Kennedy, Governor Romney has assured his fellow Americans that no religious leader will dictate to him if he is elected President of the United States. UNlike President Kennedy, Governor Romney refused to embrace absolute separation of church and state to please secular extremists and to calm irrational fears. That, America’s Founders would enthusiastically cheer. Governor Romney, they would joyfully befriend, not foolishly fear. As John Marshall, America’s greatest Chief Justice commented: “[W]ith us Christianity and Religion are identified. It would be strange indeed, if with such a people, our institutions did not presuppose Christianity, and did not often refer to it, and exhibit relations to it.” That’s NOT absolute separation of church and state. To be sure, America’s Constitution (including the First Amendment) respected the private right of conscience and repudiated the idea of government compelling religious practice, but it acknowledged God (dated “in the Year of our Lord”), accorded Sunday special significance (not counted it toward the days that the President has to acted on a bill passed by Congress) and sought “the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity” surely from the Creator who bestowed upon people those rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness asserted in the Declaration of Independence.”
See, this is how this fellow’s lies are exposed. What Marshall was merely speaking of was the presupposition that all of the nation’s vital institutions, public and private, would be run by and made up of people of the Christian faith. Marshall DID NOT MEAN that the government money should fund religious institutions. While I agree that there was never a hard or fast law or court ruling prohibiting such, it was never needed. Why? BECAUSE NO ONE WANTED IT! AFTER ALL, THIS COUNTRY WAS FOUNDED BY PEOPLE FLEEING PERSECUTION AT THE HANDS OF STATE CHURCHES! As such, THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO PRECEDENT FOR LARGE SCALE TRANSFER OF TAXPAYER DOLLARS TO RELIGIOUS INSTITUTIONS UNTIL THE CLINTON ADMINISTRATION (under the charitable choice welfare reform provision inserted by John Ashcroft), PRECEDENTS WHICH THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION GREATLY EXPANDED.
And it is very interesting that this fellow mentions 1947. Why is that? Simple. Before Roosevelt’s New Deal, the government provided very little in the way of services to ANYBODY. (The income tax and most other tax policies were primarily started to pay for WARS.) It was only after Roosevelt GREATLY EXPANDED THE ROLE AND REACH OF GOVERNMENT with the New Deal that it became an issue, and thus the Supreme Court in 1947 handled the issue appropriately. Now yes, before the atheist revolution, there were cases where the government transferred money to religious and private groups, but those were only in special cases, such as reimbursing religious schools for education costs in sparsely populated areas where building and maintaining public schools were unviable. There WERE no arrangements outside of that, because as a general rule before Roosevelt there very few government programs and services to speak of to begin with, and not only that there were very few people demanding them.
So, Christians really need to be supporting people like Ron Paul. Why? Because instead of going after people who will allow us to believe the LIE that we can somehow “Christianize” our government programs after the manner of the church – run or church – influenced governments in countries that the Catholic Church dominated (again, please realize that the Church of England was founded in rebellion against the Catholic Church, and America was founded in no small part due to rebellion against the Church of England), we need to change the debate to why these programs are necessary in the first place. Instead of thinking that we are somehow turning this nation back to God by turning America into what France, Portugal, and Spain were in the 1500s (and you Christian Zionists in the religious right, please remember how Jews were treated by these church – run states), we should be asking ourselves whether the way to turn this nation back to God is to return our government to its original pre – Roosevelt and Johnson state, so that people will depend upon God and turn to the baptized body of believers for help rather than the state.
Look, you see where following big government big business Republicans like Nixon (see our “engage China” policy), Reagan, and both Bushes has gotten us. (Better yet, see where it has gotten Israel). Why go for another big business (remember, Mitt Romney is a Wall Street guy; international investment banker secretly backed by the Bushes) big government (remember his universal healthcare scheme in Massachusetts, which will transfer even more money to their Catholic hospitals … do you want that to go nationwide?) Republican? Now I have been promoting Mike Huckabee myself (I am not Southern Baptist, but am very fond of them), but IndependentConservative (a Duncan Hunter fan who is willing to consider Paul) warned me that Huckabee had issues, and he is right: Huckabee is a tax – cut and spend Republican after the manner of George Bush.
So then, why are conservative Catholics backing Romney rather than Huckabee? My theory is that it is a power play, plain and simple. Do not be deceived: this Catholic – Protestant thing has never died, and it never will. First off, if the President isn’t going to be Catholic (and they know that Giuliani has no shot), they would prefer that he be Mormon rather than Protestant. Why haven’t they backed Mormons and other non – Protestants before? Because none of them have had a chance to win before. Further, Catholics know that once the threat of the “evil Hillary Clinton” (a specter that Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, etc. has created to fill Christians with fear knowing full well that we have had Democratic presidents in the past, and that this current batch of Republicans have done more to undermine our tradition of Protestant conservatism than defend it) is done away with, then Bible – believing Christian Republicans will all of a sudden discover that their opposition to Mormonism. Democrats? Well, they will have voted for someone else. Romney would have nowhere to turn to but the very same Catholics that put him in office for political support, and Romney would be able to do more for Catholics than any Catholic president could (in no small part because the watchdog groups would be distracted by looking for any evidence of his helping Mormons). Consider this: with five Catholics on the Supreme Court and with Catholics making up 5 of the last 6 GOPers Supreme Court (O’Connor, Kennedy, Thomas, Roberts, Alito, with Souter the only Protestant), if a Catholic OR Protestant were to be the next GOP President, the next pick (or even the next TWO picks) would HAVE to be fundamentalist Protestant. Otherwise, the Catholic – Protestant alliance on the right would crack. But with Romney in office, he could – and almost certainly would – nominate two Catholics (or a Catholic and a Mormon) and no one would bat an eye.
And best of all, Protestant Christianity in this country would be that much more politically marginalized by the fact that the party which represents the majority of Bible – believing Protestant Christians will have elected a Mormon that they neither want, like, support, or trust! Even the left has made it clear that they would prefer Romney over anyone that Jerry Falwell or James Dobson is likely to support, first out of spite but also out of hope that Mormons would join their “minority” coalition.
Therefore, it is no wonder that the media and the big contributors have done their best to make the GOP race into a three man horserace between two guys who have no shot in the primary or the general election (John McCain and Rudy Giuliani) and Mitt Romney while doing their best to dissuade or ignore other options. Look at their agenda: where they really want to take this country and the planet. Even the secular left who wants to keep church and state separate will readily sacrifice that in order to fully integrate America into the global community, and is there a more “globalist” organization around than the Roman Catholic Church? Come to think of it, the Catholics INVENTED globalization and have been practicing it since the very beginning, because it came out of Rome, the empire that dominated the known world. Well, looks like Rome wants their global empire back. They have the third world through religion (please note how Pope Benedict XVI was in Brazil, giving that nation their own saint that you KNOW that they all are going to pray to … look if you are going to pray to something that makes it a god even if it isn’t the “main” god, please realize that Roman paganism there was the main most powerful god and other lesser gods, and most prayed and served to the lesser gods because they feared the main god, who wasn’t very nice, so by their practice of elevating people to saints based on good works to the Catholic Church, then yes Catholicism allows you to “progress to godhood” just like Mormons, and please note that like Mormons they emphasize works too), many claim that they have Europe through the EU (which I now believe to be an oversimplification), and unless Bible – believing Christians rise up they will soon have America if the church – state protections are removed. (Getting America would be huge, because America is where a lot of the world’s main international financial institutions are located.) And Bible – believing Christians, you KNOW what that would lead to. The question is: whose side are you on, and on which side will you fight? Technorati tag: Ron Paul

More great Ron Paul links. This link from Baptist News Press is a doozy. A great weblog link. LewRockwell.com whom I normally do not endorse. The Conservative Voice Article. Another Lew Rockwell article. Read them and ask yourself WHY ON EARTH ARE SO MANY “RELIGIOUS RIGHT LEADERS” SUPPORTING MORMON MITT ROMNEY WHEN THERE ARE GUYS LIKE THIS IN THE RACE? My guess, these “religious right” types are NOT about this country and they CERTAINLY are NOT about Christianity. OK you Pat Robertson defenders, why hasn’t Ron Paul spoken at Regent University, and had Pat Robertson call him a great American? Not that I am picking on Robertson. James Dobson is going after Newt Gingrich, and lots of other religious right leaders are compromising themselves. And that is the key: once Satan can get you to compromise in one area, others follow. So many Christians have been misled into thinking that they need to get behind certain candidates to save this nation from homosexuality, abortion, and crime, and while that is true (yes, I do and will vote) what ELSE do they vote for? Are we Christians being led into trading one side of the anti – Christ for another? Now I am not saying that Ron Paul is God’s man in the race, but merely by virtue of NOT being the DEVIL’S man, that makes him worth considering.

First, you have to gain some level of control, awareness, or inventory of the thoughts and ideas that are in your head. If you have an “atom – smasher mind” that is totally chaotic with all sorts of different discordant thoughts running back and forth, your mind is literally ripe to becoming a demonic playpen. Not only that, but a person having such a mind will find it very difficult to be productive in many areas of his or her life: for instance such a person will have a hard time starting projects, finishing them, keeping appointments, etc. Such a person will either not pay much attention to detail, or pay entirely too much attention and lose perspective. While in some respects a chaotic mind can seem familiar, calming, and even highly entertaining to people (especially if they allow themselves to get caught up into violent and/or sexual fantasies that resemble the music, video games, magazines, movies, TV shows, Internet content, etc. that they consume) in reality you are putting a lot of stress on your mind (and your body), and the result is burnout. Remember: God’s way is order, Satan’s way is chaos. So, if you are struggling with an out – of – control mind (as I once did) you MUST subdue it so that it will be suitable for God to be master of it. Yes, one of the things that people who have problems in this area must do is A) take on fewer activities B) get more rest and C) limit external influences. Quit working and socializing yourself to death. Get not only more sleep, but more quiet and sitting down time when you are awake. (Getting into a light exercise routine helps too … it releases stress from your body AND your mind.) And reduce your TV, radio, and Internet time and increase your reading time. When you do consume TV, radio, and Internet, limit your activity to things that are soothing and edifying. Classical music, home improvement TV shows, why not? Similar, your reading should be less oriented towards popular magazines and the newspaper, but the Bible, EDIFYING novels and such. One of the things that you should realize is that TV, Internet, video games, newspapers, and magazines have created minds that have short attention spans – which increases the chaos – and are too lazy and untrained to exert the effort required to control it. But any Christian that is going to have any sort of real prayer life and Bible study habits, and who is going to have discernment is going to need to have control over his own mind. Also, please realize that if YOU do not control your mind, others will. Right now it may be the governmental and corporate influences that bombard your mind through the media and culture, and the evil spirits that they empower. But make no mistake, in the future it WILL be the beast, the anti – Christ. And I know that Scientology, Buddhism, Hinduism, New Age, and even some strands of “Christianity” offer techniques for you to control your mind: auditing, “mind exercises”, contemplative prayer, meditation, chanting, yoga, etc. What you are actually doing with these is giving full control over your mind to evil spirits that allow you to THINK that you are in control when the truth is that THEY are calling the shots. Instead of messing around with witchcraft and finding yourself bewitched, just obey what the Bible says. Find a quiet place. Get into God’s rest. And yes, Sabbaths are GREAT for resting the mind and body.
After your mind is under control (or while you are learning how to control it) then you will have to learn discernment. Out of all the thoughts, voices, and images in your mind, you will have to learn which ones were put there by you, which ones were put there by God, and which ones are demonic. Now to be honest, the only things that you should trust, follow, and allow to linger are the ones from God. You might want to entertain vanities concerning your own virtue, especially if you are saved, but Christians themselves ought to know that the Bible says that the heart is desperately wicked and deceitful of all things; who can know it (Jeremiah 17:9)? So telling your own thoughts from demonic thoughts is useful in learning the depths of your own depravity; to what extent that you are still being ruled by your flesh. That does two things. 1) It lets you know the doors that you are opening to allow demons to enter and afflict you. 2) It lets you know how much your mind needs to be renewed by the workings of the Holy Spirit (please know that you cannot renew your mind on your own with works; only faith in and submission to God will accomplish this). Also, if the thought is your own, spiritual deliverance will not work, but rather will not only be an unproductive waste of time but will also confuse and discourage you when it does not work. While you are still learning how to spiritually monitor your own thoughts, an easy test can be applied: “Does this thought violate the Ten Commandments?” (In order for this to work, you must memorize the Ten Commandments, which a shocking percentage of Christians have not done.) There are other obvious things, such as whether it is a violent or sexual fantasy or thoughts of plotting harm or revenge to someone, but the Ten Commandments are more than good enough to start off until one’s knowledge of scripture is strong enough.
And once you are fully aware that a voice or image inside your head is NOT from God and NOT from you, then the only other option is demons. Even memories: demons have the ability to dredge up stuff to tempt or torment you. As a matter of fact, there is even a type of demon called a “memory recall demon.” So, you CANNOT entertain the thoughts or the demons that send them. You CANNOT try to justify, rationalize, figure out, etc. the thoughts. You MUST IMMEDIATELY RESIST THE DEMONS AND TELL THEM TO LEAVE YOUR MIND USING THE NAME AND POWER OF JESUS CHRIST. Now realize this: only people who have made Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior have this power. If you have not, take care of it right now so that you can begin reclaiming your mind.
You must speak to the demons out loud, even if only in a whisper (which helps if you are around other people). Say something after the effect of “Evil spirit, I know that’s you, and that you are nothing but a liar and a corrupter with no power, and no right to my mind because it is owned, protected, and covered by the One True God. In the Name of Jesus Christ, I command you to go from my mind, and in the Name of Jesus Christ I bind you from returning!” Now you do not have to repeat exactly that every single time. As a matter of fact, if you repeat something from memory, it will only be ritualistic legalism, not spiritually warring from your heart to make it real, and will block the guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. On the other hand, coming up with something new and unique each time can be confusing, tiring, and time – consuming. So just remember these five points: 1) tell the demon that you know that it is there, 2) tell the demon that it has no right to be there, 3) tell the demon to leave, 4) forbid it from coming back, and 5) back your command (it is not bargaining, a request, or demand but a COMMAND, as demons are to have no choice or say in the matter) with the Name, Blood, Power, and Authority of Jesus Christ.
This is how you resist demons that are attacking your mind, and the Bible says “resist the devil and he will flee from you.” Now do not be surprised if the demons (and the attacks on your mind) do not go away immediately. As a matter of fact, when you first start doing this they will fight back very hard in order to convince you that demons are not real, spiritual warfare is not real, and that you are grasping at straws following false doctrine. Further, some demons that attack your mind are quite powerful (and those are the ones that come your way to hinder you from doing something that God wants you to do, from receiving a message from the Lord, or from being able to concentrate and comprehend when you are trying to read your Bible), and some are quite simply stubborn. So, you will have to keep saying it until they are gone. It also helps to quote scripture from memory, or read scripture until they are gone.
Now this point is often used as an accusatory point by Christians who do not believe in overt spiritual warfare, and teach you that at the moment of salvation you are forever freed from all evil spirits and demonic attack. Their point is that this and other techniques commonly used by charismatic Christians in spiritual warfare is highly repetitious, which not only is sinful but a way of dealing in withcraft and evil spirits in and of itself. In a sense, they are actually correct, because a great many strands of false Christianity – including some charismatic varieties – emphasize chanting things (including the Name of Jesus Christ or some Bible verse) over and over again until you achieve some desired effect, including but not limited to speaking in tongues, shouting, etc. Look, as someone who came out of a witchcraft form of false “charismatic Christianity”, I am very much aware of these concerns. But what these very sincere Christians – the vast majority of whom love God very much and are exceptionally aggrieved at their brothers and sisters in Christ being deceived by false doctrines and practices – are forgetting that the key element in demonic rituals is A LOSS OF MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL CONTROL. That is why Paul gave strict guidelines for charismatic activity in the church: following Paul’s guidelines means that a person is mentally and emotionally aware, conscious, and in control of his own actions (meaning that the “slain in the spirit” nonsense is precisely what Paul was commanding that we should avoid). When engaging in spiritual warfare, you should NEVER surrender mental, emotional, or physical control at any time for any reason. (We were encouraged to “lose control” in the church that I grew up in; maintaining control was called “hindering the spirit” … they did not tell us that the only spirits that were being “hindered” were evil ones.) At all times you should be conscious of what you are doing, what you are saying, and why you are saying it. That is why it does help to switch to a different Bible verse or change the words or sequence of words that you are using when you are commanding a demon to leave. You must remain calm and at ease, not getting nervous or pacing the floor, not allowing the lies or images that the demons will confront you with disturb you. This is where faith, patience, and unconditional love will reign supreme in order to keep you in control of the situation so that God will remain in control of YOU. Have faith that spiritual warfare is real; have faith that God has given you the power and authority to command all evil spirits to leave your body, mind, and presence. Mark 16:17 says “And these signs shall follow them that believe: IN MY NAME shall they cast out devils.” The Word of God is not a liar, fellow Christians. Rather, it is false doctrines and false teaching from well – meaning Christians that causes you to disbelieve and not act against these evil spirits that are tormenting you.

I put up a post yesterday in which Christians who work in Hollywood urged us to pray for Hollywood rather than boycott them. At the time, I endorsed the idea. But now, I see this column about how Victor Salva, A MAN WHO WAS CONVICTED FOR MOLESTING A TWELVE YEAR OLD BOY HAS BEEN HIRED TO DIRECT TWO MOVIES SINCE THEN, WITH THE PRODUCERS AND STUDIOS WHO HIRED HIM ALL CLAIMING NOT TO KNOW ABOUT HIS PAST! There’s more: both movies promote the New Age religion, both JUST HAPPEN to star and center around TEENAGE BOYS, and both movies performed absolutely terribly at the box office. But Hollywood is so intent on promoting the New Age message of a child molester that they are RE – RELEASING THE SECOND MOVIE AND PROMOTING IT BY GIVING AWAY $14 MILLION IN FREE TICKETS! And they also mentioned in this article Roman Polanski, who drugged and raped a 13 year old, fled the country, AND WAS LATER GIVEN AN ACADEMY AWARD! So let me just say this: if any of you feel like accepting the plea of Hollywood Christians to pray for them and the industry, now you know EXACTLY the type of demons that you are up against. They give a child molester $14 million to make a movie about New Age and no one says a peep, but Fox starts financing movies for the Christian ghetto – excuse me – the Christian market for as little as $5 million in production and promotion costs (less than what it costs to make a single episode in some TV series) and they actually have to defend themselves for it by falling over themselves to declare “we are not out to proselytize”! And by the way, how much was spent on that Scientology flop “Battlefield Earth” that ended John Travolta’s career? (Yes, the same Travolta who desecrated Christianity in the film “Michael”; you better believe that when Travolta and these people – save they repent – meet the REAL archangel Michael they will quickly see the error of their ways.) And the Matrix movies, which were commercials for gnosticism, New Age, and Buddhism? I wonder how many Christians worked on those films … anyway, for all of you who want to pray for Hollywood rather than not support anti – Christ films with your hard earned time and money (and not to mention exposing your children to the works of a New Age – promoting homosexual child rapist), these are just SOME of the MANY prayer points for you. The worst part of this is how the mainstream media knows what a sewer Hollywood and the music industry are, and they never report it, and when Christians and right wing politicians talk about it JUST A LITTLE BIT, they LIE and claim that it isn’t true, that the Christians and right wingers are “demonizing Hollywood to scare people away from real issues” and “dividing the country along cultural lines.” Then again, I think that it is fair to point out that so many of these politicians, preachers, Hollywood types, and media types are merely bought – and – paid – for Council on Foreign Relations anyway, so maybe they are all in the game to pollute your mind and make it hostile to Christianity. That certainly is true of Rupert Murdoch and Fox; though he pretends to be a friend of Christian conservatives, he is actually one of the biggest pornographers on the globe; his DirectTV empire would go broke were it not for all of the X – rated channels and pay – per – view offerings. It could be said that the money being used to finance the FoxFaith deal comes from the pornography addicts who watch DirecTV. Well enough about all that. Go ahead and pray for Hollywood and the Christians therein, fellow Christians, if you are led by the Holy Spirit to do so.

When I was a member of the religious right – which means when I was out of my mind – I supported school vouchers, charitable choice, faith – based programs, etc. Then I read Frank Peretti’s Darkness series (This Present Darkness, Piercing the Darkness) and saw EXACTLY how out of my mind I was. The inevitable result of churches accepting state funds is A) our churches and ministries having to abide by regulations created by Ted Kennedy and Nancy Pelosi and B) churches and ministries who are NOT willing to abide by the anti – Christ rules being unable to compete with the ones who get taxpayer dollars. This is already happening to a degree in the fine state of Georgia. A church can run a daycare and receive taxpayer dollars from the LOTTERY FUNDED “PeachCare” programs SO LONG AS THEY DO NOT TEACH RELIGION. Of course, virtually every working parent looking to save money AND put their children in a “PeachCare certified childcare facility” AND benefit from the “seamless transition from PeachCare daycares that offer the approved Georgia Department of Education curriculum to Georgia public schools” is going to patronize the daycares that receive tax money. Of course, the megachurches with deep pockets and affluent congregations are not being threatened by this, but the smaller churches and ministries are having to choose between going the PeachCare route and not only being forbidden to teach Jesus but being ultimately forced to promote the anti – Christ agenda (they are indoctrinating kindergartners with pro – homosexual lies in Massachussets among other places, and though “conservatives” are running Georgia NOW, do not forget that Georgia has a very large and powerful liberal community) or close their doors. Look, churches and ministries should not only stop seeking state money, they should also start declining tax – exempt status. Otherwise, they will be relying on the beast, the government (read Revelation, it is true, the government is part of the beast’s system) for their survival, and the beast’s support will inevitably come with anti – Christ strings attached. The Christian right’s pushing “faith based programs” is nothing but fattening frogs for snakes, or should I say dragons.
Father YHVH in the Name of Yeshua HaMashiach, please lead your pastors and children to seek You for guidance concerning the future of their churches and ministries. Please may they realize that they are going to have to shortly change their operations in order to prevent being ensnared by the beast system; that they will not become complacent and be devoured by the spirit of strong delusion that will come into the land, along with it the false belief that it will be OK to change and compromise to accommodate the beast. May those who truly love You and are willing to sacrifice and face persecution to obey You and spread the true gospel of Your Son’s Resurrection and Deity stand up and do so. In the Name of Yeshua HaMashiach, amen.

Look, Yeshua HaMashiach warns against vain repetitions. And Paul’s letters to the Corinthians were all about warning them against how losing spiritual control inevitably leads to evil spirits taking advantage of the situation. So this “Christian meditation”, where you start to “imagine” and “visualize” and “alter consciousness” and “chant”, etc. is clearly after the same demonic arts of yoga, self – hypnosis, etc. When did we start allowing all of this nonsense in the church, including this utterly sinister “Christian meditation for kids” book aimed at FILLING YOUR CHILDREN WITH DEVILS? Oh, and there is this “Christian talk show” on an Atlanta area Christian radio station that teaches you the Scientology method of “auditing”, claiming that Christians are wracked with guilt because religion teaches them “self – condemnation”, but that Jesus came to free us from sin and the “self – condemnation” that comes with it which brings stress, sickness, family problems, etc., so you just do the following “mental exercises” …
So yes, now you have Scientologists, yoga people, and New Agers claiming to be Christians.
