Final Answer: The Sinner’s Prayer Is Not Only Unnecessary For Salvation, It May Not Be Expedient!

Posted by Job on July 5, 2007

I first asked the question here: Is The Salvation Prayer Necessary For Salvation?, which was in response to this challenge. Now I maintain that the reason why the issue of salvation is so vexing to the church is because there is no “instruction manual” in the New Testament, which I maintain is good because if there were, it would just be something else that Christians could use to turn into into a work or a ritual; claiming that the process in the Bible saved you rather than God. But a “type” of salvation by unearned grace is given in the Old Testament, in Isaiah 6:1-7. “In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the LORD sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.”

All Isaiah did was realize and admit before God that A) God is Holy, B) he was sinful, C) that his sinful condition was unacceptable before God, and D) being unacceptable before God because of your sin is a bad thing indeed. (Please realize that Isaiah was ALREADY SERVING GOD IN THE OFFICE OF A PROPHET when he had this vision.) In short, Isaiah, acknowledged his sin and repented of it before God. Immediately upon doing so, his sin was removed through no act of his own!

But wait: his sin was removed by an angel, and only God can forgive sin! Not so! The angel was only the messenger, the vehicle, the vessel! Keep in mind: they WERE under the old covenant; Christ had not been born, died, and raised from the dead, and there was no gospel for a man to preach. The seraphim did not forgive Isaiah’s sin, he took the live coal from the altar, put it on Isaiah’s lips, and the sin was forgiven. Why was the coal live? It had been burned in the fire. What is a common metaphor for fire in the Bible? God the Holy Spirit; Ruach Hakadosh. Consider the Holy Spirit’s role in salvation by reading this link, and while you are at it this brief opinion on salvation in the Old Testament in general here: And keep in mind: the fire of the Holy Spirit is not a regular, natural fire but a spiritual one. So, when the Bible says that the coal was “live”, it does not merely mean that it was HOT, it means that the presence of the Holy Spirit was still with the coal. How do we know this? Because the angel used tongs! The angel never touched the coal, but had to use tongs to handle it. Why do you think that the angel would need tongs, brothers and sisters? This is an ANGEL we are talking about here, a spirit being! An angel is not going to be burned by handling the bratwursts from your barbecue grill! No, the angel could not – would not – touch the coal because the presence of God the Holy Spirit was upon that coal! And when the coal touched Isaiah’s lips, the Holy Spirit that descended down from heaven by virtue of the coal carried by the angel (with tongs) played the same role in Isaiah’s salvation as it plays in this dispensation when a man hears the gospel of a preacher and believes and trusts in the message through faith in God alone.

The best part of all this is that Isaiah played no role whatsoever in this. He did not choose the time or place or manner of salvation. He did not pray for his sin to be removed or for God to accept or help Him. And no, baptismal regenerationists, he was not baptized. He played no role in his salvation whatsoever. It was 100% initiated, executed, and completed by God. The only thing that Isaiah did was acknowledge that he was a sinner, and that he was unworthy to be accepted by God because of it! Immediately after doing that, GOD SAVED HIM. After all, what is the Name by which we are saved? Jesus (more accurately Yeshua, Y’shua, Yehoshua, or perhaps Joshua) which means “GOD SAVES.”

So why, then, the gospel, and what of it? That would probably be a worthy topic for study, discussion, and debate, but I am satisfied with the explanation that it is the method that God told us to use and to leave it at that. But we see from the Isaiah experience that the critical role of the gospel is to not to get the sinner to ask God to save him. Why? Because Isaiah did no such thing! No, the critical role of the gospel is to get the unbeliever to acknowledge that he is a sinner and therefore unacceptable to God because of it, which is what Isaiah did! Only after the sinner realizes that he is a sinner and cannot be reconciled with God because of his sin can he believe that the purpose of the birth, life, death, and resurrection of the Jesus Christ Person of the Holy Trinity was to reconcile the sinner to God, and to trust that the actions of God alone are what saves him!

Again, I have no problem with a sinner’s prayer, but only if it is said as a helpful exercise in “formally” fulfilling Romans 10:9 (That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved), specifically the “confess with thy mouth” part, only after the unbeliever has accepted that he is a sinner and even then only IF the sinner knows that the prayer does not save him and furthermore plays no role in his salvation! And this gets to be a real problem in my opinion. First, there is the well – known issue that a great many evangelists, especially those that rely on systematic methods (following a tract or a technique that they were taught during church evangelism training) soft – play the issue of sin because they do not want to alienate the unbeliever, and also because they may not be able to answer the unbeliever’s questions concerning sin. They may mention it, but to get around that “problem”, these evangelists purport to deal with the sin issue during the prayer, which usually starts off with “Lord, I admit that I am a sinner, please for give me for my sins.” The logic “Hey, if he says it during a prayer that he is saying out of a sincere desire in his heart to be saved, then that counts as a confession of sin and God will accept it.” No, it doesn’t work that way. The person’s KNOWLEDGE and SINCERITY is for God to save him, NOT of his sin and his separation from God because of it. This problem is added to when evangelists say that a person’s separation from God is due to their not accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Well, did Isaiah accept Jesus Christ as his personal Savior? No.

The main goal for a lot of evangelists to get people to say a prayer that will not save them, even if they are sincere about a desire to be saved and sincerely recite the prayer! So how, then, are these people saved? I honestly believe that they are saved later. They go to church and (hopefully) hear preachers talk about sin and repentance (again, this cannot be presumed, even in evangelical and fundamentalist churches). Or they will (hopefully) read about the issue and (hopefully) understand when they (hopefully) read their Bibles (something else that cannot be presumed). What of praying for God to forgive your sins?1) Isaiah did not do this. 2) Nowhere in the Bible are we told to do this. 3) Will God hear the prayer of a sinner? Basically, the rub is that if you ask God to forgive your sins without meaning it or even having a true understanding of what you are asking, then it is a vain exercise. But according to the Isaiah example (and the other Bible salvation examples that I can recall), God cleanses you of your sin immediately upon your becoming aware of your sin, knowing that you are separated from God because of it, and desiring your situation to change. Thus, if you have heard and believed a true gospel presentation, then God has already forgiven you before even start to pray! (And it is a good thing too, since the prayer cannot save you!) And it may actually hinder you. What if you say the prayer (even if you mean it) without every truly dealing with the issue of your own sin? Then if you believe that your salvation came when you said your prayer, then will you even see how all of those sermons and Bible verses that speak of sin apply to you? If you regard yourself to be saved already by virtue of the prayer (or of baptism), then perhaps not.

So, the issue that must be dealt with is the scripturally untrue notion that the sinner’s prayer plays any role in saving a sinner, especially when so many Christians are convinced that they were saved when or as a result of saying the prayer, and that the way to be used by God to bring others into the kingdom of heaven is to get others to say a prayer as they did. It is tempting to say that true gospel preaching would make this matter moot, but sadly it is not true. If you believe that God saves the person as a result of his saying the prayer, then out of your love for the unbeliever and burden for his lost soul, you are going to focus your entire energy on getting him to say the prayer. Everything else will be an exercise, a ritual, a formality. Which, of course, means that it will be EXPENDABLE; meaning that you can sacrifice some of it in order not to offend so that you might gain the person through prayer. Let us be honest: suppose you were to walk up to a person on the street and ask him “Do you want to be saved?” and the person replies “Sure, my best friend just died in a car accident, so I want to be with God when I die; I have heard people say and have seen it on bumper stickers and billboards that you need to accept Jesus to go to heaven, but I do not know how.” The overwhelming majority of fundamentalist and evangelical Christians would leap for joy inside and say “Great, just say this prayer!” I would say that a sizable minority would give a quick gospel presentation about how Jesus Christ died for their sins – and may even briefly mention that the person is a sinner in the process – but that would be it! The person was sincere about wanting to be saved, the person said the prayer and asked God to forgive his sins, so there … he is saved! Before reading Isaiah 6 today, I would have agreed. But after reading it, I am forced to conclude that we cannot presume that the person is saved merely as a result of saying the prayer, and we can definitely know that the person’s saying the prayer without knowledge of sin and his separation from God because of it and without repentance of sin because of that fact will not result in his salvation.

Illustrative example: ! On Trinity Broadcasting Network about a year ago, Paula White was speaking of Without Walls’ “extreme evangelism” methods. One such example was their giving a secular concert (admission was either free or with ticket prices far lower than normal) with R&B and rap artists to attract a large number of young unbelievers. That the concert was sponsored by a church was strictly withheld from the public, so the concert attendees had no idea that they were attending a church evangelism event and spent the entire evening there with nothing regarding Jesus Christ on their minds (or if they were, it had nothing to do with the event that they were attending). After the last act performed (and again, it was a secular concert playing secular music, not that I am condemning secular music or those who make or listen to it, just to point out that Christ or the gospel was unmentioned throughout the entire event) an announcer came on stage and asked if anyone in the building “wanted to accept Jesus Christ in their lives” (Paula White’s words on TBN, not mine). Of course, when you have a bunch of impressionable young people that have spent several hours being entertained by their favorite musicians in a concert setting (and R&B and rap acts frequently ask their audiences to respond … “Get up and say yeah!” sort of thing), they are going to be willing to answer in the affirmative to virtually anything almost without thinking. So, when a bunch of kids did so, the announcer had them stand up and say the sinner’s prayer! Which meant that if they were sincere in saying the prayer (and when you are a kid with your friends at a music concert, you can be sincere about a lot of things, especially for oh, about 30 seconds that it takes to say such a prayer), then they were saved. Right?

One final thing: Isaiah 6:8 says “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who shall go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. send, and who will go for ” Once again, you have God referring to Himself as I (singular) and us (plural). I = Unity, us = Trinity. Trinity in Unity, or Tri – Unity. And in this context, this whole “royal we” (where dignitaries refer to themselves in plural) not apply. Else, the verse would have read “Whom shall WE send, and who will go for US?” No way the normal language would have been used for “I” and the royal language for “we.” Yet another example of why there is no excuse whatsoever for calling yourself a Christian while denying Trinity, or making the “the true nature of God is an unknown mystery that has not been revealed” or “the word Trinity is never given in the Bible” canards that are commonly used as excuses for following some Jesus Only oneness preacher or movement. And isn’t it amazing that God JUST HAPPENS to declare His Tri – Unity during this salvation scene? Do not be deceived, it was no coincidence. God referred to Himself as “I” and “We” during that vision precisely because the Tri – Une nature of God is integral to salvation, and that there is no salvation apart from it. All oneness dissenters: please explain how a “manifestation” of God or a “father – son – uncle relationship of God” went with that live coal to burn the sin out of Isaiah!

Have You Given Your Father His Father’s Day Gift Yet?

Posted by Job on June 17, 2007

Well, the day has come where we recognize fathers for their contribution to families and society. The love of a father is a special, valuable thing and we must all remember that fact. Now you might ask: what of those who never knew their fathers? Or of those people whose fathers did not treat their children in a loving respectful manner and faithfully, reliably fulfill their duties? Well, I should tell you that while not everyone has a true father on earth, EVERYONE has a Father in Heaven. No matter who you are or what you have been through, your eternal Father in Heaven loves you, wants you to love Him, and has a plan for your life.

Though we give gifts to our earthly fathers on Father’s Day, we should be mindful of the gift that our Father in Heaven gave to all of us. God loved us so much that He gave us His only Son, Jesus Christ. Though this Son never sinned despite being tempted as we all are, He died on the cross to pay the debt for our sins, and so that we could be with the Father through Him. Then Jesus Christ rose again from the dead to show that once the debt of sin has been paid for, death has no power over a person, and that just as our sins could be forgiven we could overcome death with Him. This is possible because Jesus Christ was the true Son of God, meaning that He is equal to God, is part of God, and is God. And the result of God giving up Heaven for a time to come to earth and doing this, what no animal or man could, people need not receive the punishment for their sins, but can have everlasting life. This is also possible because God is eternal and all powerful, capable of doing whatever He wants and sees fit. Well, God wanted and saw fit to save YOU from your sins, and He made a way possible, and that Way was His Son Jesus Christ. That was His Father’s Day gift to you.

So the question is: are you going to give your Father’s Day gift to your Father? Now realize this: the Father created everything. He owns everything, including you. He doesn’t want or need your money. He doesn’t want or need your time. He doesn’t want or need your pledge of loyalty. So there is only one thing that your Father wants from you; only one gift of yours that can please Him, and that is your heart through faith. Without faith, it is impossible to please God, but with faith in God all things are possible. What is faith? It is trust. It is trusting God that this is true because the Bible says so, and trusting God that believing these things are all that is required for your salvation: that nothing can be done by you to help it along because God does not need your help. Believing that God needs your help is not believing and trusting that He is God, which means that there is no faith in God. Of course, there are things that God commands you to do AFTER you are saved, namely obey Him through the things given in the Bible. But even that is impossible and is of no effect without faith; without believing that the Bible is God’s true Word and trusting that it is true and that if obeyed it will cause you to fulfill God’s plan for your life and His purpose for creating you.

So no matter who you are, no matter your race, gender, class, religion, sexual preference, background or personal history, you can give God His Father’s Day gift by believing that His Son died for your sins and rose again and trusting that fact alone for your salvation. And trust me, God wants this gift from you more than He wants anything else in the universe, because He gave Jesus Christ, whose value is worth more than that of the whole universe, for it. So will not you give your Father the one gift that He wants from you today? All you have to do is believe what I have told you, and it will be your gift from you to your Father, He will gladly accept as He promised He would (and believe no one who tells you that He will not), and all of Heaven will rejoice over your gift. You have nothing to lose, but an eternity to gain. The choice is yours, so please, make it so that you can please God right now.

Christopher Hitchens: The Fool Says In His Heart There Is No God Psalms 14:1

Posted by Job on June 12, 2007

“The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ ”  Psalms 14:1

Why does the secular media love Christopher Hitchens and his new book, “God
is not Great, How Religion Poisons Everything.”  The Devotional today is NOT
a book review, the only book I review is the Bible.  The Devotional today
isn’t even about Christopher Hitchens, the British-born author, journalist,
and political commentator.  It is about the secular media’s love affair with
anyone who will boldly state there is no God and lambaste people of faith.
There is an insatiable appetite in the marketplace to eliminate God, dismiss
the Bible as Truth, and thoroughly reject faith in Jesus.

Of course the first logical question is why?  The answer is no more
complicated than the fact that the masses who have made the choice to live
in open rebellion to God do not want to be held accountable for their
choices.  Since they cannot see a person called God despite the overwhelming
evidence of His existence and presence, they have gone through the tortured
mental exercise of simply denying there even is a God.  In their drive to
live without being held accountable for their actions and choices, they have
taken the position that there simply is no God.

Once a person makes that foolish choice, you can easily see how rejecting
the Bible, rejecting Jesus Christ, embracing a theory like evolution, and
supporting others who are involved in every type of sin imaginable follows.
Obviously if you deny there even is a God, it makes it easy to dismiss the
book God wrote, the Bible, as simply a book “written by men” or a million
other idiotic responses you will get from people who have rejected the
Absolute Truth of God’s Word.  As I share with you often, the number one
reason people choose to reject the Bible is because it is the very Truth
that judges them.  Once again, those who choose to live in rebellion to God
and His Truth do not want to be held accountable for their actions.

How does a ridiculous “theory” like evolution become accepted by the
mainstream culture as the explanation for man’s existence?  Men can say they
never have seen God, therefore there is no God.  However, they are still
left with the little problem of explaining how we came to be.  So they have
turned to this laughable notion that we evolved from a drop of pond scum, to
a monkey, and voila, here we are!  LOL!  Of course they can never tell you
where that drop of pond scum, or where that first cell came from, or the
“big bang” that some claim started it all.  In the end, those who embrace
this “theory” are left flopping around like a fish out of water.

Sadly, when people choose to reject God they end up aligning themselves with
others who have also rejected God.  Again, this is how you end up with a
society that supports the slaughtering of innocent babies.  This is how you
end up with a society legitimizing and accepting the unnatural and unhealthy
sexual perversion of homosexuality.  Jesus said you can’t serve two masters.
Those who reject God and His Truth, have chosen to serve sin and follow
satan.  The Bible proclaims in the Book of James that, “You adulterous
people, don’t you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God?
Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.”

Satan is the “prince of the power of the air” for a short season.  He has
dominion over the airwaves.  Why do you think you see a steady diet of sin,
of blasphemy, of the lies of the world, of anything that will lead people
away from God, Biblical Truth and faith in Christ 24/7/365 on TV,  the
radio, the movies, the Internet, and every form of media there is?  This is
why when an avowed atheist like Hitchens writes a book declaring God is not
great and tries to make a case that religion is the cause of all of man’s
and the world’s problems, the media falls over itself to put him on.

Let me help Chris.  God IS GREAT!  God is the Creator of the heavens and the
earth and all that exists including OUR CREATOR!  He is right that religion
does poison everything, since Christianity is not a religion, it is a faith.
The false religions and cults of the world are simply man’s spiritual
rebellion to the God of the Bible and His Truth.  The poison is actually the
sin that infests every aspect of our existence due to man’s rejection of God
and Biblical Truth.  That is why the only hope for man now and for all
eternity is faith in Jesus Christ.  He and He alone is the only answer.

I love you and care about you so much.  Sadly, Christopher Hitchens will
take his last breath one day soon and at that moment stand before the very
God whose existence he denies.  Sadly, at that moment he will be judged for
his sins and cast into the eternal fires of hell from which there will be no
escape.  That is the fate which awaits all of those who die rejecting Christ
as their Savior.  God loved His fallen creation so much that He made a way
for man to have an eternal relationship with Him by sending Jesus to die on
the cross as payment for man’s sins.  It is God’s desire that none be lost,
that all repent and be saved.

However, God gave Christopher Hitchens and all men the free will to make
their own choices.  They are free to love Him and live for Him, or reject
Him and even believe He doesn’t exist.  Each person has to make this choice
for themselves during their brief life, nobody can make it for them.  I pray
today that Hitchens will come to a place in his life where he will open his
heart to not only the existence of God, but God’s love for Him and the fact
Jesus died for his sins so that he would not have to spend eternity in hell.
Pray for him today, since God has given him a great gift to communicate and
he could become a powerful man of God and advocate for the Christian faith.

I will pray today for those people in your life who like Hitchens, have
chosen to deny the existence of God, reject the Bible as Truth, and have
refused to surrender their lives to Christ.  I pray that they will come to a
place in their life where God will be real to them, where His Word will
become the Truth they live by, and they will accept Jesus into their hearts
and lives by faith.  That is why it is so critical to preach the Gospel
without compromise and to reach out into the marketplace since that is where
the lost live.  That is also why we must find ways to bring the message of
God’s Truth and of Christ’s love to the secular media since that is the
communication tool the enemy uses to lead people away from God and to hell.

The fool says in his heart there is no God.  Most of those fools do come to
a place, maybe only once, when they are ripe to hear the Truth and the fact
there is not only a God, but a God who loves them!  It is at that moment
when the hardened hearts of men soften, they fall to their knees, and cry
out for Jesus to save them!  I see it happen every day here at Liveprayer.
Why do you think the fire burns within my belly to wake up each day and do
all I can to reach the lost and hurting?  It is God’s desire that NONE BE
LOST, that ALL COME TO REPENTANCE!  I possess the words of everlasting life,
how can I sit back and watch people die and go to hell without doing all I
can to let them know that Jesus loves them and wants to give them life, and
life everlasting!!!

Man’s Genetical Hardwiring Toward Religious Belief

Posted by Job on June 7, 2007

From BornToWin.Net, a most excellent teaching ministry.

Is it true that man is “genetically hardwired” towards religion? According to Tony Blankley, some neuro – scientists think so. One thing is clear. Man is hardwired with a system of logic. I didn’t understand years ago that computers are hardwired with a logical system that included a language. If you didn’t know know the language, you couldn’t do much with the computer. Some friends gave me my first computer. I suspect because they hadn’t been able to make it work any better than I could at first. I turned it on and started pressing keys, but nothing of interest happened. I could make letters appear on the screen, but the letters didn’t do anything.

I sort of felt like the proverbial monkey at a typewriter, banging out random symbols. And them someone told me the magic word: DOS. But what was DOS? Ah well, there was the rub. DOS means “Disk Operating System.” The computer had slots for two disks, so I bought one that said “DOS” and put it in. I still couldn’t do any work, I had to get another disk that had a program. But neither disk would work in just any computer. The computer had to be hardwired with a language so that it would understand what was on the disks.

So the term hardwired entered into the language of psychology and neuro – science as a description of that part of the human mind we are all born with. Every child born into the world arrives with a built – in system of logic. We don’t have to be taught it, because it is hardwired into us. The brain itself is “wired” according to a logical system, and the mind operates on that system. We start life witih an untrained logical system with an enormous potential for development.

What makes this interesting is that, in the absence of true religion and faith in God, man will inevitably make up his onw. In primitive societies, they create wooden gods. In intellectual societies, a little more ingenuity is required. Blankley: Some neuro – scientists see evidence that man is genetically hardwired to be disposed to religious conviction. If this is so, it might explain why even among the French – the most secular culture on earth – only 25 percent claim to be atheists and a full 60 percent believe in a spiritual component to life. It might also explain why the environmental movement tends to veer towards a religious, rather than a scientific, sensibility.

There are two things I found of special interest. One is that you cannot eradicate religion from the human being by education. If you could, the French would have done it long ago. Maybe this accounts for the persistence of religious faith in this country despite of an educational system that is legally hardwired to eradicate it. I also notice the suggestion of religious sensibility in the environmental movement (*my note: the Gaia religion). The idea of a religious instinct is important. Geese are hardwired to migrate. Man is hardwired to make sense out of his world – what Viktor Frankl called a “drive to meaning.” And making sense out of the world involves some sense of direction, thus prediction. Or, in biblical terms, prophecy. Now, I pause to reflect on an obvious truth. Man didn’t wire himself. Nor did his system of logic evolve from neurons, any more than than the logic of my computer evolved from a collection of wires. Both are the works of a designer/creator. Any suggestion that man is hardwired to do anything is a suggestion of design and object.

Yours in the service of true religion, Ronald L. Dart

What Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Jews, Muslims, and Oneness Pentecostals Don’t Understand

Posted by Job on May 4, 2007

Everyone who denies the Tri – Unity of Elohim denies the power of the Blood. They deny the very reason why the blood of animals was shed for those thousands of years under the Jewish sacrificial system. They deny the very reason why Yeshua HaMashiach’s Blood was shed on the cross. And they reject the very reason why only the Blood of Yeshua HaMashiach sets us free. I Peter 1:18 – 19 says “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.”

What was so valuable about this Blood of Yeshua HaMashiach? Well please recall that Leviticus 17:11 says that the LIFE is in the blood “For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. ” From where LIFE comes is where POWER comes, and the POWER is in the Blood. And what is the POWER of the shed Blood of Yeshua HaMashiach? It was the same POWER of the Godhead.

Realize that Yeshua HaMashiach was not born of the seed of man, but of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, His Blood was not the corrupt blood of Adam, but the pure life – giving POWER of GOD. The POWER, the LIFE of the FATHER YHVH, the WORD who on earth was called Yeshua HaMashiach, and the SPIRIT Ruach Hakadosh was COURSING THROUGH THE VEINS OF THE ONE COMMONLY CALLED JESUS CHRIST. Hence, Jesus Christ was fully man because of His Flesh. But He was simultaneously FULLY GOD BECAUSE OF THE BLOOD THAT GAVE LIFE TO THE FLESH. And THAT was why He was without sin. There was no sin in His Flesh because there was no sin in His Blood because His Blood was the Blood, the Life, of the Triune Godhead.

And that, dear people, is why Jesus Christ cannot be the “savior” of any false religion or cult that denies Tri – Unity. If you deny Tri – Unity, Oneness Pentecostals, you cannot explain how the Blood of Yeshua HaMashiach that liberated you was still holy despite Yeshua HaMashiach’s being born of a sinful woman (no Catholics, Mary was not immaculately conceived free of original sin, because her father was a man and not God) and walking the earth as fully man. You cannot explain how the human flesh of Yeshua HaMashiach was free from sin – though He was tempted at every point just as man was – and how despite taking on the sins of every man who ever lived and ever would live, He remained holy. No, He was not simply a manifestation of Father YHVH. No, He was not simply a “relationship”, such as how the same man can be father, son, husband, etc. to someone else. Why? Because were He a manifestation or relationship, He could not have turned His face away from Himself in Heaven while He was dying on the cross. (He also could not have done this were Yeshua HaMashiach a mere PIECE  of Himself, the yolk or shell or white of an egg that Oneness Pentecostals now use). Why? Because were that the case, when Yeshua HaMashiach took on sin, then the whole Godhead would have taken on sin. But as only the human temporal flesh of Yeshua HaMashiach took on sin, the rest of the Godhead did not. And as the rest of the Godhead did not, the Blood of Yeshua HaMashiach, the Life and Power of Yeshua HaMashiach, remained pure. And because His Blood remained pure even after He took on sin, He was still blameless. And the power of His still pure Blood was able to raise Him from the dead (Hebrews 13:20 “Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant.“). If the modalist lies on the nature of God were true, then this would have been impossible, for there would have been no separation between the defilement of sin in the Godhead, and no prevention of the defilement of the Blood. But it is the Triune nature of HaShem that makes this and all things possible!

I am even going to throw an abortion reference in here. For you “life begins at birth, the fetus is part of the mother’s body until the cord is cut” people, explain how in many cases the child of a mother infected with HIV/AIDS is still born healthy? Because the PLACENTA is a BARRIER between the DISEASED blood of the mother and the healthy blood of the child. Were they one person, they would share the same blood, and both would be infected. But because they are different people with different blood with a barrier between the blood of the infant and the blood of the child, then it is possible in many cases for the child to be born healthy. As a matter of fact, it has been shown that a great many cases where a baby receives AIDS from its mother is during the delivery, and the medical community has precautions to prevent that from happening! So just as with a pregnant women you have two – or more – distinct people occupying the same space, the Godhead is three people in one! And realize this: Yeshua HaMashiach was on EARTH. So, when Yeshua HaMashiach took on sin, there was a gulf, a spiritual placenta, between the SIN that Yeshua HaMashiach took on, YOUR SIN, and the Holy Righteous Father. THAT was why the Father was able to turn away. So, modalist, a great many of you are “social conservatives” who oppose abortion. If you can believe that a mother and her unborn child are different persons, why do you reject the same regarding your God?

And as for all of you who claim salvation in a Christ whose divinity you deny, this shows that it does not work. Were Yeshua HaMashiach an angel, Satan’s spirit brother, or the first thing that God the Father created, Yeshua HaMashiach would not have had the Blood and the Power of the Father within Him. Were He merely a man, He would not have had the Life of the Father in Him. Therefore, He would not have been sinless and incorruptible.

Further, realize that the Bible clearly states that the value of a life corresponds to the value of its blood. Study the sacrificial system (Leviticus 4:13-14, 27-28): the blood of a sheep or goat is less value than that of an ox, and the life of a sheep or goat is of less value than an ox. And men? Our lives are worth more than that of any animal (despite what people who would put you in jail TEN YEARS for killing a PUPPY claim), and yes our lives are worth more than the angels that we will judge(I Corinthians 6:3). Why? Because we alone were created in God’s Image. Our lives are more valuable than any other life apart from God’s. That is why no animal’s blood can redeem us. That is why no man’s blood can redeem us. That is why no angel’s blood or created being’s blood can redeem us. Only the Blood of the Pre – existing, Self – existing, eternal God can redeem us.

Only the Blood of God could have resurrected Christ. Only the Blood of God overcome death, hell, and the grave. And only the Blood of God can redeem sinners. Only with the Blood of God is there redemption. Only with the Blood of God is there power. Only with the Blood of God is there reconciliation with God. And it is only the Blood of God that joins us to the spirit of God (I John 5:8, Hebrews 9:14). And without the Blood of God, our faith, our lives, our very existences are in vain, even cursed. And by rejecting the deity of Yeshua HaMashiach and by rejecting the Tri – Unity of Elohim, you are rejecting the very Blood that could and would cover your sins and save and deliver you.

Is The Salvation Prayer Necessary For Salvation?

Posted by Job on April 22, 2007

I say technically no, but it helps especially if the prayer restates and affirms the gospel, which the one that I try to get people to say does. But nevertheless, some disagree, even to the point of suggesting that I abandon it. In favor of what, though? Well, here is an article that presents an opposing ( dare I say Calvinism – inspired?) viewpoint and evangelism method. Now this is the sort of think that I was looking for when I solicited such views in a post awhile back, but received no takers. Maybe THIS will get the discussion rolling.

The Virginia Tech Shootings: Does God Exist? Does He Care?

Posted by Job on April 16, 2007

To me, incidents such as the Virginia Tech shootings are those that cry out to the world irrefutable evidence both of the existence of God AND of our need for God. The taking of 32 innocent lives, especially in a violent, cruel, senseless manner that offered nothing in the way of warning, negotiation, or chance for escape to the victims, is incontrovertibly evil. How can anyone view such carnage and deny that evil, ultimate evil, absolute evil exists? I want people who disagree with me to answer this question. I want all of your great learning and capacity for profound pontification in matters relating to evolutionary biology, sociology, statistics, sociology, philosophy, theology, economics, etc. to demonstrate to me that this was anything but evil. We can argue over scale. We can argue over effects. We can argue over causal circumstances and contributing factors. But when we get to the bottom, the root, the foundation, the core, the fact remains that a great evil ended dozens of lives and will cause a significant lasting negative impact on thousands more.

So, for evil to exist, then good must exist also. How can it be otherwise? And let us describe the nature of this good. I want to use some of the language of the peace activists, anti – war adherents and such. To them, peace is not merely the passive absence of conflict, but the ACTIVE and PROACTIVE OPPOSITION TO and PREVENTION OF conflict. You can’t just sit around waiting for a war to start and then put on your t-shirts and get out your signs. It is a continuous struggle to remove the conditions that cause war and to change public attitudes concerning warfare. Well, good is the same. Good is not the neutral absence of evil. Good is an active force that OPPOSES evil. And what is that good force? GOD IS THAT GOOD FORCE.

See, a lot of people falsely assume that God cannot exist because if He did, there would or could be no evil. Well, obviously by that same token there is no anti – war movement then is it? Just as the existence of war means that an anti – war movement will exist and be busy, the existence of evil means that God exists and is busy. Make no mistake: God is good, and is good all the time no matter what happens, even in times like this. And one of the reasons is that God is ALWAYS opposing things like this. If God were neutral, merely someone who set things in motion and then went off to rest or become a mere observer, He would not be good. But since God does oppose this, then He is.

An example of how God opposes this at all times? In the simplest form, God left us specific instructions: THOU SHALT NOT MURDER. And He also told us that man should not allow murder to go unpunished, and that ultimately HE would not allow murder to go unpunished. That is merely one way that God opposes evil, but make no mistake: it is a clear way.

So if God is God and if He is good, why does He allow evil to exist? Why does He not destroy all evil? A simple answer is this: man. God gave man free will when He created us, and He wants us to choose for ourselves good and evil so that He will know which of us are good, and which of us are evil. Were He to take away evil, then He would remove from man the capacity to make that choice. Yes, He would remove the vice that comes from choosing evil, but He would also remove the virtue in choosing good. When man chooses right over wrong, it is a very good thing indeed. Why would God, being righteous want to deny us the capacity to renounce wrong, choose right, and receive all of the benefits from it? Just because not everyone will choose good, and some will choose evil? Well let me tell you: that would be punishing EVERYONE. As a matter of fact, removing the ability of EVERYONE to choose and be good merely because SOME would choose evil would be punishing the good people for what the evil people would do. And how would that be righteous? It would not be in the least. So, allowing evil to continue, if only for a time, is a righteous act from a righteous God in and of itself.

And you know what? Evil people do not have to stay evil, either. They can change. They can ask forgiveness. They can pay restitution, and be an example to others of how not to be evil, and how those who have done evil can change. When an evil person changes his wicked ways, that is a good thing. Why would a righteous God deny an evil person the opportunity to experience, be, and do good by changing?

So yes, this Virginia Tech tragedy does prove that there is good in the universe, and moreover that the good in the universe is actively opposing evil. For a time, good must operate in a context that allows evil to exist and cause great harm for the purposes of making the good known and manifested. But that time will come to and end. The Bible says that one day, there will be no more wicked people. Which means that there will be no more wicked things for these people to do. But in this time, we need God. We need to oppose the evil in this world. And we also need God to oppose the evil in our lives, in our actions, in our desires and thoughts. We need God to help us. We need to choose God, which is good, so that we will not be evil too. And we need God so that when the day comes that there will be no more wicked people, we will still continue to exist because we can be good.

So yes, this Virginia Tech horror proves that you need God. The only question whether you want Him. If you do, then all you have to do is tell Him, and you will have Him and He you, and it will start a process that will last not only this lifetime, but an eternity. I urgently entreat you, no matter what your beliefs were or what your life was previous to now, to start that process today. A Challenge To All Sinners (YES THIS MEANS YOU)!

Posted by Job on April 1, 2007

Yes, I called you a sinner. But so what? We are ALL sinners. So why deny it, or be ashamed of it? There is nothing special about that fact at all. Proof: I work in the technological field, and part of my education was classes in logic. When classifying things according to logic, a characteristic that all of the items being classified shares in common becomes irrelevant: it is ignored. Take, for example, cars and elephants. All cars have tires. All elephants have trunks. So, there is nothing exceptional about a car having a tire and an elephant having a trunk, and no reason to dwell on that fact or take offense at it. Just admit it: you are a car. You have tires. You are an elephant. You have a trunk. You are a human, and that makes a sinner. Admit it and move on.

How does move on exactly? Well, God is righteous and hates sin, and will one day destroy all of it. That creates a problem for the sinner, of course! The only way to be protected from a God who hates sin and will destroy it is to be saved from destruction by that same God. How is that possible? Let me give you a hint: one of the names of God is Yeshua, which means GOD SAVES! A better known version of that name is Jesus, which is the name of the Word of God person of the God who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Spirit. We refer to Jesus as “son” because God sent the Word person of the Trinity to earth as a human. When God’s earthly existence died, it made a way for you to be saved when God destroys all sin despite still being a sinner. How? BY FOLLOWING THE THREE STEP SALVATION PLAN! Try it today for no money down (or actually, no money EVER)! Now though the benefits of this deal – the greatest deal in history actually – last forever, the deal itself won’t! So get it now, today!

European Religious Leaders Urge Churches To Work With Governments On AIDS

Posted by Job on March 27, 2007

See link here. What they are leaving out is that the “AIDS agendas” of many governments is actually the gay rights agenda, where AIDS is supposedly fought by giving out condoms and encouraging people to use them in homosexual sex, and demanding that the religious leaders of these countries stop teaching that the Bible calls homosexuality and autoeroticism sinful (please recall how Jocelyn Elders was forced out as surgeon general because her proposed sex education to prevent AIDS and teen pregnancy curriculum included teaching middle school girls how to pleasure themselves). Many say that AIDS was actually the best thing that ever happened to gay rights activists and people with libertine attitudes towards sexuality, because it allows them to claim that it is the people who promote following God’s commandments concerning sexuality that are the ones killing people by “stigmatizing them” and by “withholding lifesaving medical information from them.” Instead of helping the government promote homosexuality and other forms of sexually hedonistic sin, churches should avoid this anti – Christ system and fight AIDS the same way that the church should fight everything else: with the gospel. All you have to do is look at the “holiness or hell” anti – Trinitarian anti – grace heretic TD Jakes get on Nightline and claim that “the Bible didn’t give us instructions on how to handle AIDS” and see how strong the spirit of anti – Christ is moving in churches that have rejected the Bible, and see that if you reject the Bible through compromising one way in your doctrine and practice, pretty soon you reject the Bible completely. It is your job not to follow after people who choose worldliness, compromise, and convenience over true Bible doctrine. Why? Because why else would we choose those things if it is not in pursuit of money, fame, and power? If we were pursuing the things of God, we would have no need of anything else, but it is because we are pursuing the things that WE want that we turn aside from the right path in our ministries and lives.

A Challenge To Christians: How Is Salvation Through Christ Accomplished?

Posted by Job on March 24, 2007

I was once an adherent to the sinner’s prayer, but I have since switched to this method: The Three Step Salvation Plan. But many disagree with this method of salvation, including this very sincere lover of Christ who dropped by my website to tell me so. With such people, I had basically decided to agree to disagree, UNTIL I found this website recently (which regrettably I have been unable to re – locate) that claimed that Billy Graham created the sinner’s prayer, that it was unknown to Christianity beforetimes, that it was creating legions of false converts, and that Billy Graham’s Calvinism was the culprit. Which struck me as totally odd, because I am aware of Calvinists who themselves claim that Billy Graham and his sinner’s prayer create false converts. But it caught my attention, because whatever one thinks of Calvinism (which I oppose), one cannot deny that Billy Graham has clearly gone in an anti – Biblical direction, and that the evangelical movement that he mainstreamed (some say created) and that I myself used to be a part of is with few exceptions utterly atrocious.

This is the problem. The Bible really does not give a guide. And that is a good thing, because if they had, then it would have been just another thing one group of “Christians” would have used in their legalism and another group of “Christians” would have added to with their traditions and extrabiblical revelations. It would be just another thing that you could say as a ritual without any sincerity, belief, commitment, or spiritual change, or just another thing you could attach all sorts of heretical blasphemous apostasy to and thereby deny the true meaning of the Bible and nature of God. So by clearly describing salvation without spelling out a SPECIFIC WAY to salvation in the same manner that the Old Testament laws, rituals, and observances were in excrutiating detail, God in His Infinite Wisdom saved the salvation process from religion. But it appears that man has opposed God on salvation as they have with everything else.

Now I suppose that I could ask how salvation rituals have been performed historically, but even that is problematic. Though I deny being a Catholic basher, from Constantine until Luther the Catholic Church was all the western Christians had, and even after the Reformation from what I have seen the early Protestant denominations initially retained much of Catholicism and then over time rather than simply going back to the Bible simply usurped Catholicism with their own man – made traditions and interpretations, which rather than converging veered into radically different directions (a fact that Catholics note, and not without glee).

One would think that “going back to the early church” would be a solution, but is it really? The early church was exceptionally chaotic, with the same modalist, humanist, and gnostic heresies in circulation today moving through the church back then; as a matter of fact much of the New Testament is meant specifically to oppose them. The Council of Nicea, lamented as it is my many Protestants (and anti – Christian conspiracy theorists) was the most significant event in the formation of true Christian doctrine and practice since John completed Revelation (with Martin Luther’s removing the Catholic extrabiblical literature being the second most important). So unless it is something that can be proven to be what was given to the church directly by Yeshua HaMashiach or his apostles (which includes Paul and Matthias, you “Christian” liars who bash either or both), if it is pre – Nicea I have no confidence in it.

Which brings me back into the sinner’s prayer. If it is true that it either did not exist or was not in wide use until Billy Graham introduced it, and it is not how the act of salvation was historically practiced in the church, then what? If you are walking down the street or riding the bus and God tells you to gain for Him some random person that you have never met before and probably will never see again, how is that person to be gained? I can think of no other way than the sinner’s prayer, and if the sinner’s prayer works in the street or on the bus, then it has to work in the church. Any corrections? Suggestions? Comments? Any counter – challenges from non – Christians (or non – fundamentalist “Christians”, who let’s face it, are not actually Christians at all) who are angered at how a person who is so sure in his own beliefs, who aggressively proseltyzes, and who unconditionally condemns to eternal damnation all else can even be entertaining questions in such a vital area? (Let me short – circuit you by saying this: just because I KNOW BY FAITH that the Bible is true doesn’t mean that I understand all of it, but I can say that there is enough of the Bible that I do understand completely, things like John 14:6, to say without reservation that you are going to burn in the lake of fire for eternity unless you repent of your sins, accept Yeshua HaMashiach as your personal Lord and Saviour, and love Him by obeying His Commandments and also love your neighbor for the rest of your life, and if you disagree with any of that, then yes this means you, and you need to go say and believe the very prayer that I am attempting to justify, for even if it does have problems you will be better off for saying and believing it than you are now; at least you will have a chance which you can then fulfill or throw away.)

Why You Need The Gospel

Posted by Job on March 21, 2007

This devotional gets right down to it: why you need to receive the gospel if you are unsaved, and why you need to preach the gospel if you are. Failure to do so in either case and you will receive judgment from God for it!

“Dear Bill, It is with a broken heart that I’m letting you know that my husband had a massive and fatal heart attack last week. I know he enjoyed your email messages for a long time and that he has communicated with you, and encouraged you in your ministry. He has gone to be with Jesus. Our memories of him are sweet. I thought you would like to know. God Bless”

Sadly, I receive many emails like this every week. The death of someone we love is a difficult part of this brief life we live. That is why we must be grateful for each day God gives us, and never take our life for granted. It is also why we must be prepared for the day we leave this life and help as many as possible be prepared for that day as well. I had just communicated with this woman’s husband a few days prior to his death. He is forever with the Lord he loved, though he lives on in all of those lives he touched along his journey.

For each one of us, the one certainty is that one day this life will be over and we will pass into eternity. It is not a question of if, only when. That is why I try often to reinforce to you that we must live each day to its fullest. Our purpose in this life is to serve and glorify God. When it is over, the only thing that we will take with us from this life is our
personal relationship with Christ. As real as the fact is that one day we will die, we often take this life for granted. From time to time however, we are confronted with our own mortality and it helps us to refocus on what this life is really about.

Two Sundays ago, around 6 p.m. my wife said she was hungry for some soft shell crab and we decided to head out to a little restaurant we know on the Gulf not far from our home for dinner. It was a beautiful Florida evening, temperature in the mid 60s, perfect for a quiet dinner and walk on the beach afterwards. As I was driving out to the restaurant, we were on a two-lane road that would take us to the main road to the Gulf. There was very little traffic that evening and my wife and I were enjoying the time together, escaping all of the daily problems and pressures for a little while.

As I was coming up to an intersection where the traffic had to stop at a stop sign, I saw a car sitting at the stop sign waiting to turn left onto the road we were on. The speed limit was 40 mph, but as I was getting closer to the intersection, “something” inside me told me to slow down. My brain told me there is no way the car sitting at the stop sign would even
attempt to turn until I had passed, but again, “something” deep down told me that car was going to turn right in front of me.

All of a sudden, as I was only 50 yards or so away, the car pulled out and began to turn, right in front of me. For an instant, I saw no possibility of avoiding running right through the driver’s door of the turning car. Because “something” had told me to start slowing down, I was able to hit my brakes, steer a bit to the right, and avoided what could have easily been a fatal accident. Unfortunately the car behind me was not prepared for what
happened and he plowed into the back of my car.

The good news is the driver who hit me was OK, my wife and I were OK, and a potentially deadly accident with the car who turned in front of us was avoided. In that split second when it looked like there was going to be a horrific accident, an incredible calm came over me. In a very clear and concise way, I realized that my wife and I may actually die. You never know how these things will play out, and that was a legitimate possibility. I
remember clearly asking God to spare the driver of the other car and my wife, and if I was to die, thanking Him for such a wonderful life. I had a great peace about me and an incredible sense of gratitude for God allowing me to serve Him.

I love you and care about you so very much. I don’t say that lightly, especially today. Death is a part of the human experience. The Bible says “O death, where is thy sting!” For those who have put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ it is not an event to be feared, but one that simply marks the end of our time in this life. Don’t ever forget this important point. Only God says when our work here is over. So have no fear. As long as He still has work for us to do, we aren’t going anywhere. I guess He still has some work left for me to do. I pray each day I am faithful to that work.

I share this with you today just to remind you how precious life really is. Not only how precious, but how quickly it can end. DON’T EVER TAKE YOUR LIFE FOR GRANTED. EACH DAY IS A SPECIAL GIFT FROM GOD. Let me also say that for anyone reading this today, that does not have 100% assurance that if your life ends today you will spend eternity with God, the Bible says TODAY is the day of salvation. Please take a few minutes, the most important few minutes of your life, and go to . Simply ask God to open your heart and watch this brief clip.

Trust me when I tell you that in the face of death, knowing that you will spend eternity with Jesus, gives you a peace you can’t even describe. For those who do know Christ, make each day count, you just never know when it will be your last. Make sure you do all you can to serve Him each day.

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller
