North Korea’s flag and letters are projected by anti-North Korean activists during a press conference denouncing North Korea’s policy in Seoul, South Korea, Friday, July 24, 2009. North Korea publicly executed a Christian woman last month for allegedly distributing the Bible, which is banned in the communist nation, South Korean activists said Friday.

A mother of three, Ri Hyon-ok, 33, was accused of spying for South Korea and the United States and organizing dissidents, The Associated Press reported. She was executed in the northwestern city of Ryongchon bordering China on June 16, according to a report from the Investigative Commission on Crimes against Humanity published Friday.

Her husband, children and parents were sent to a political prison the day after her execution, the report states.

The report’s claims could not be verified.

But it follows testimonies by North Korean defectors and reports from human rights groups that have increasingly exposed the religious persecution and rights abuses in the communist country.

Last month, the Voice of the Martyrs (VOM) was warned through an anonymous fax apparently by the North Korean embassy for Finland that “something very bad will happen” to VOM workers if the organization continues its project in sharing the Gospel.

The warning was in response to VOM obtaining fax numbers inside North Korea and sending faxes containing Christian messages and Scripture passages.

North Korea has been ranked the worst persecutor of Christians for seven years in a row in the annual Open Doors Watch List 2009.

North Koreans are forced to worship a personality cult that includes Kim Jong-Il and his deceased father. Any other religion, especially Christianity, is banned.

If someone is found to be a Christian or possesses a Bible, they are sent to the gulags (government administered labor camps) or face public execution.

It is believed that tens of thousands of Christians are currently suffering in North Korean prison camps, according to Open Doors. The regime is suspected of detaining more political and religious prisoners than any other country in the world.

There are a few churches in the capital, Pyongyang, but they are mainly for show. It is unclear if these churches are only open when foreigners visit or are used only by expatriates. Either way, the handful of churches are not for North Korean citizens, according to defectors.

The Investigative Commission on Crimes against Humanity, a coalition of 50 activist groups, is calling for North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il to be charged with crimes against humanity.

Prisoner Alert: Son Jong Nam Of North Korea Faces Execution

Posted by Job on July 12, 2007

Son Jong Nam, an underground Christian in North Korea, has spent more than a year in prison, awaiting public execution. He risked his life returning to North Korea to preach the gospel and VOM contacts believe he is still alive, although contact is limited. Write a letter of encouragement. Let Son know you pray for him and other believers in North Korea. Let your friends know about persecution in North Korea; encourage them to pray and write. Also, write to North Korea officials requesting Son’s release. Pray for and write to Son today.

Write a letter of encouragement to Son Jong Nam, a Christian awaiting public execution in North Korea. Despite immense risk, Son turned down an opportunity to escape to safety in order to return to his homeland and tell North Koreans about Jesus. VOM sources believe he is still alive, though contact is limited. His government denies him mail, so send letters in care of the North Korean delegation to the United Nations. Let Son know you are praying for believers in North Korea. Also, write to officials requesting Son be released. Tell your friends; encourage them to write to Son too.

The Council On Foreign Relations’ Middle East Solution: Integrate Them Into The EU Starting With Turkey

Posted by Job on April 14, 2007

See link here. Of course, this explains why Rick Warren has been playing apologist for Syria and frontman for North Korea. But hey, Rick Warren supporters, don’t let harsh words from close minded fundamentalists like me get you upset. The important thing is that the people who REALLY MATTER, ecumenical open minded New Agers and eastern religion practicioners, are behind Warren (and Robert Schuller too) 100%! The power of purpose driven positive thinking, anyone?  Technorati Tags:

Iran Begins Dramatic Nuclear Expansion (Because We Let Them Or Told Them To)

Posted by Job on April 12, 2007

See this link. And the opening sentence is just outstanding: “Iran today announced it has begun enriching uranium with 3,000 centrifuges, a dramatic expansion of a nuclear program that has drawn U.N. sanctions and condemnation from the West.” So then, what good are “U. N. sanctions” and “condemnation from the West”? Is there ANY EVIDENCE that we are applying ANY PRESSURE TO IRAN AT ALL? If I didn’t know better, I would say that perhaps it is all a sham and that the international community actually WANTS Iran to develop nuclear capacity. After all, did we stop Pakistan, India, and North Korea from developing theirs? And that is another thing: after ALL THIS TIME, precisely what has changed in the world for Pakistan, India, North Korea, and Iran TO ALL DEVELOP NUCLEAR CAPABILITY WITHIN THE LAST TEN TO TWELVE YEARS?!?! How is it that they were unable or unwilling to develop nuclear capability BEFORE, but all of a sudden gained the ability and capability since Clinton and Bush got into office? Come on now. It really does appear that all of these countries have been getting major help from China, Russia, and several other nations (and corporations that represent or do business in still more nations) in order to pull this off. And get this: why would they have even sought this if someone hadn’t told them that A) it was possible and B) nothing would happen to them?

Now compare how we have allowed India, Pakistan, North Korea, and Iran TO DO WHATEVER THEY WANT while BY STARK CONTRAST reducing Iraq, Afghanistan, and Serbia to smoldering heaps of rubble and killing their leaders in the process. When Iraq built their reactor, ISRAEL BLEW IT UP! And how come Iran hasn’t been given the crushing sanctions that caused so much misery in Iraq (and South America)? And how come WE KEEP GIVING NORTH KOREA MONEY NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO! And get this: now Japan is talking about restarting their army. They SAY that they are going to honor their pledge to never go nuclear, BUT THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH INVESTIGATING THE MATTER JUST TO BE SURE!

Something is going on, people. I am not so much concerned for what it is (for true Christians are to be ready for anything) as to why no one is talking about it. Where are all these really smart people who are supposed to be able to put all this stuff together? Get this: “In Tehran, some 200 students formed a human chain at Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization while chanting “death to America” and “death to Britain.” The students burnt flags of the two nations.” So obviously we know where this facility is. Which means that we could have bombed it LONG AGO if we wanted to. Which means that the people in Iran know that we know (unless they are completely out of it). You know?

Deal With North Korea? Yeah Right!!

Posted by Job on February 16, 2007

Not much to say about this except the obvious: the North Koreans are lying just like they always do. Iran, North Korea, Russia, China, Venezuela, Syria, “Palestine”, etc. all have this little scam going on where one of them acts up at its appointed time, causing so much pressure on the United States and our dwindling allies that it either distracts our attention from or so weakens us that it forces into a sham “piece deal” (meaning us giving them weapons that they want to use to kill us, or money that they will use to develop and buy weapons that they will want to use to kill us) with one of them to drive the international and domestic heat down so that we can concentrate on the other. That was the case last year when Hizbullah and Hamas (and let’s face it, the PLO) attacked Israel last year while Iran was in a critical stage in their nuclear weapons program, and were seeking to avoid action being taken against them by the international community at a G8/WTO meeting. This is definitely a sign that Bush is planning a war with Iran, because he is trying to reduce our number of enemies and contrive a “peace victory” before the international community; you know the whole playing the game bit. I say if Bush is a true Christian and is fighting the Lord’s Battle in taking on Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan, then bring it on! If not, then well … Bush is totally insane and completely evil. I have not prayed regarding Bush because I am afraid of the answer that I will get, but I will say that if Bush is close to and of like mind with his brother (I lived in Florida for a good little bit of Jeb Bush’s governorship, and at the time it seemed to me that they were two completely different animals and furthermore not all that close), the Jeb Bush endorsing Mitt “my religion will deceive millions and take them to hell’ Romney really makes me wonder about whether it is time to finally stop procrastinating and to ask God whose side Bush is on. Then again, Bush’s close relations with the anti – Trinitarian heretic T. D. Jakes is another bad sign. In any event, whether Bush is fighting the Lord’s battle or not, war with Iran will push us one step closer to the apocalypse. Are you ready? If not, now is the time to get ready! Be saved from this wicked world and your sins through Jesus Christ: follow The Three Step Salvation Plan. But in the midst of all this bad news, you can be encouraged! The reliable trustworthy honorable entity The World Council of Churches, whose endorsement you can take straight to the bank, is very pleased with the North Korea deal! (By the way, my linking to an article about the WCC on the Eagle Forum’s sight certainly should not be construed as an endorsement of either that organization or their views or agenda, but here is a very nice article on the WCC from another great source, and here is another great one from the WCC itself.) I have to say it: if the WCC likes it, then it is because it is very bad for Christians! If it wasn’t for the Internet, I would definitely be one of those guys out on the street corner holding up my big sign! But as it is, I will communicate this here instead: “The end is near. Be prepared for the Imminent return of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!” Have your garments on undefiled washed white in the Saviour’s blood, keep the oil in your lamp burning, and above all, do not be lukewarm, for He is coming as a thief!
