Juanita Bynum At Barack HUSSEIN Obama Fundraiser Held By New Age Witch Oprah Winfrey?

I must ask: have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? If not, follow this link: The Three Step Salvation Plan

So here you have a woman raised in and representing Pentecostal/charismatic Christianity speaking at a fundraiser to support the ambitions of one such as Obama who supports abortion, homosexuality, and a number of other abominations? At an event hosted by the best known proponent of the New Age false religion in America (yes, Barbra Streisand, Oprah has surpassed you, and what makes her worse than you is that Oprah promotes mixing New Age and Christianity … after all, she and Barack Obama are both members of the same “church”)? See Is Oprah Winfrey’s New Age “The Secret” The Same As Word – Faith Prosperity? It just shows you that the Bible is true yet again: Amos 3:3 says “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?“ So you supporters of Juanita Bynum and all of these other false preachers when there are so many good hard working legitimate preachers out there … who are YOU walking in agreement with? I will say this: someone who thinks so little of you that they are so bold enough to lie to you on worldwide CHRISTIAN television while knowing full well that her lies will be exposed: Juanita Bynum Lies On TBN! Oh yes, and how that “Christian” TV station TBN just sat back and allowed her to lie like that unchallenged because she is one of their top moneymakers? It is time to stop walking in agreement too. We really do need to consider contacting the legitimate ministries that appear on this network and urge them to stop giving legitimacy – and money – to these people. You would have hoped that they would have done so after Paul Crouch personally endorsed ‘ heretical dual covenant theology: that Islam is just as legitimate as Christianity, but maybe they need some action by the rank and file faithful first. What do you think? And do you think that contacting the legitimate preachers on TBN to ask them to disassociate themselves from these evil people would be effective or worthwhile?

Juanita Bynum Lies On TBN!

Posted by Job on September 6, 2007

She says “I will not break the covenant” on TBN and talks about how she still loves Thomas Weeks III, because he is a man of God. Unbeknown to the 100% supportive studio audience and the viewing audience (but almost certainly known to TBN, who had set her up with the most favorable interviewer possible), SHE HAD ALREADY AUTHORIZED HER LAWYER TO FILE FOR DIVORCE! Now I believe in exploring all angles, so in the interests of fairness, she could be just keeping that option open and performing due diligence, as divorce petitions can be withdrawn at any time. But that does not change the fact that she totally misled her audience.

What was most amazing was the brazenness of this woman. She KNEW that people who were not her regular audience would be watching – including the media – and that they were going to catch her in a lie. But you know what? She doses not care about being caught in deception. Why? Because she has been deceiving people all these years and still keeps her supporters. If she has been lying all this long and none of her supporters care, why should they start caring now? It is obvious based on the comments on this very weblog that the supporters of Juanita Bynum will continue to be so, and even make railing accusations and “prophecies” of doom against all who speak the truth. I can already predict what defenses I will get. Folks are going to say “I am not breaking the covenant” does not mean “I will not divorce my husband.” While that is true, it ignores that Juanita Bynum has been playing this game for a long time and is very crafty; choosing her words to give herself – and her supporters – a line of defense; plausible deniability, just like lawyer Bill Clinton did when he said “It depends on what the meaning of ‘is’ is.” (Now do not lump me in with those Rush Limbaugh “blame everything on Clinton” types … if anything those people were all in it together … after all both Clinton and his “number one enemy” Newt Gingrich are members of the same Council of Foreign Relations that the owners of TBN as well as many prominent ministers like Rick Warren and TD Jakes are either members of or run with … all committed to the same global agenda. Just do a Google search on “Council on Foreign Relations” and “Center For National Policy” and include the names of Paul Crouch, Rick Warren, TD Jakes, etc. and see what you come up with. But none of that changes the fact that CLINTON WAS LYING THEN AND JUANITA BYNUM IS LYING NOW.)

Yet we will continue to speak the truth, because we serve not man but the Spirit of Truth; the very same God whom people like this – and their supports – mock with their lies and doctrines. But do not worry, God is not mocked! Judgment day is coming. If this whole ugly episode has convinced you of the need to get right with the one true God, follow The Three Step Salvation Plan right now! By the way … thanks to Independent Conservative for the clip, which he used in the original link:

Hindus Trying To Get British Goverment To Force Yoga On Christians

Posted by Job on September 4, 2007

christiantoday.com/article/hindu.council.attacks.illegal.church.ban.on.yoga/12812.htm They are claiming that a church barring yoga is a violation of the Religious Equality Act. While some of you religious right sorts would prefer to see this as multiculturalism/political correctness, I see this as a clear church – state issue. The state has authority over the church in Britain and most other nations of the world, so they have the right to do this. Of course, at some point down the line the state in Britain is going to act in favor of the Hindus with the logic that sycnretism in general will lead to less religious discrimination and social unrest. They are going to claim that fundamentalist exclusive claims of any one religion are the cause of all the problems, and demand that all religions become universalist. Of course, you Christians that are for one reason or another demanding that the wall of separation between church and state in America are just asking for the state to come and stamp out true Christianity. Then again, since the correlation between religious belief and adherence to true Christianity is not as strong as some people would like to believe, maybe that is your agenda to begin with. The text of the article is below:

The Hindu Council UK (HCUK), the largest national network of Hindu organisations within the UK, is considering whether a ban on yoga classes at St James’ Church and the Silver Street Baptist Church in Taunton, Somerset, may breach the Equality Act 2006.

Lawyers for HCUK are exploring whether comments made by both The Reverend Tim Jones, Vicar of St James’ and The Reverend Simon Farrar of the Silver Street Baptist Church that yoga is a “sham”, a “false philosophy” and “unchristian” may indicate they have acted contrary to the ‘Religion and Belief’ section of the Act, specifically those parts relating to discrimination in providing goods, facilities and services.

HCUK is also considering whether to ask the Commission for Equality and Human Rights to investigate whether the priests’ comments amount to “instructing or causing discrimination”.

Along with other faith bodies, HCUK debated and contributed to the Equality Act before it became law. In these debates it was agreed unanimously from an interfaith perspective that the hire of religious premises should not restrict multi-cultural events without good reason, and that faiths themselves should participate in such activities.

HCUK General Secretary Anil Bhanot said: “These priests might appear to be advising Christians not to practice yoga because they believe it is based on a ‘sham’ and a ‘false philosophy’ but what in effect they mean is that Hinduism is a false religion.

HCUK’s spokesperson on Yoga, Amarjeet-singh Bhamra added: “Yoga is one of the oldest known medical systems enshrined in the Atharva Veda, the most ancient Hindu book on wisdom, and it is now at the forefront of holistic and integrated medicine in the West.

“It is very disappointing that such medieval-like irrational prejudice is still allowed to flourish in the Christian Church in 21st Century multicultural Britain.”

“Hinduism is an ancient religion that is the source of many different theologies, philosophies and sciences,” adds Anil Bhanot. “Many Hindus believe the source of all music can be found within one of our most ancient scriptures, the Saam Veda. It will be interesting to see, now they have been apprised of this, whether those church leaders who reject yoga will now announce a ban on all music on their premises too.” (Christianity teaches that Jubal was the father of music in Genesis 4:21; it is amazing that this fellow automatically presumes that we would take his scriptures and traditions as being somehow more valid than our own. This is clearly an attempt to coerce Christians into accepting and practicing Hinduism, spiritual imperialism.)

Rev Farrar of Silver Street Baptist Church has previously said: “We are a Christian organisation and when we let rooms to people we want them to understand that they must be fully in line with our Christian ethos.

“Clearly, yoga impinges on the spiritual life of people in a way which we as Christians don’t believe is the same as our ethos.

“If it was just a group of children singing nursery rhymes, there wouldn’t be a problem but she’s called it yoga and therefore there is a dividing line we’re not prepared to cross.”

The Rev Tim Jones, vicar of St James’s, supported the decision, saying: “Any alternative philosophies or beliefs are offering a sham – and at St James’s Church we want people to have the real thing. Yoga has its roots in Hinduism, and attempts to use exercises and relaxation techniques to put a person into a calm frame of mind – in touch with some kind of impersonal spiritual reality.

“The philosophy of yoga cannot be separated from the practice of it, and any teacher of yoga, even to toddlers, must subscribe to the philosophy.

“Yoga may appear harmless or even beneficial, but it is encouraging people to think that there is a way to wholeness of body and mind through human techniques – whereas the only true way to wholeness is by faith in God through Jesus Christ.”

Well, we know what side people like TD Jakes and Rick Warren are on: the anti – Christ Council on Foreign Relations agenda of religious syncretism: see HERETIC TD JAKES ENDORSES YOGA AND CONTEMPLATIVE PRAYER! and Rick Warren And Other Emergent “Christians” Support Harry Potter. (I may have to study Hinduism more, but I am beginning to form the opinion that the more liberal strains of that belief system holds that one can be a Christian and a Hindu simultaneously. We already know that many liberal Christians believe that it is possible to practice two religions simultaneously, see “Christian Muslim” Suspended. ) The question, Christian, is what side are YOU on?

Christians Intimidated Into Silence

Posted by Job on August 28, 2007

Click liveprayer.com/signup.cfm to sign up for Pastor Keller’s devotionals!

Intimidated into silence!  This coming Friday, Liveprayer will be 8 years
old.  Every day since Liveprayer started, I have produced a Daily
Devotional.  Other than about a dozen from the first few months, every Daily
Devotional I have written can be found in our “Devotional Archives” on the
Liveprayer.com website.  Eight years, 96 months of writings.  An historical
record of what I have said.  That is important since from the very beginning
I have telling my readers that because we have abandoned the marketplace,
have quit reaching out to the lost and hurting masses outside of the 4 walls
of the church, the opportunity to use the same secular media vehicles the
world uses to propagate the lies of satan that lead men’s souls to hell,
will soon be impossible for Christians to use to bring people God’s Truth
and the hope of Jesus Christ!  The very small window that was left is now
virtually closed and will never be reopened!

The secular networks will never support and endorse any program that is
preaching the pure Truth of the Bible, bringing a Biblical worldview to
their viewers.  They do, however, fill their programming with every kind of
sin you can imagine and clearly support a view of the world and life in
complete rebellion to the Bible and the Christian Faith.  Of course, they
are in the entertainment business, not the ministry.  However, the
entertainment they feed on their airwaves has a foundation of sin and
rebellion to God, His Truth, and a faith in Jesus Christ.  They are open to
dealing with “spiritual issues,” but from a New Age viewpoint, not from the
Bible.  The only way to access their airwaves is to buy time in those few
hours a day they designate for PAID PROGRAMMING, which is usually sold to
infomercial companies.

The few Christian programs that do pay to be on secular stations usually buy
time on Sunday morning or between 2am-6am to troll for Christian viewers.
These programs are the exact same programs these ministries air on Christian
television, geared strictly for a Christian audience except for local
churches who broadcast their Sunday morning worship service.  When I started
the Liveprayer TV program I knew to attract a non-Christian audience it had
to be a different type of program from the standard preaching/teaching
programs, geared to non-Christians, and have a similar feel to the secular
programs it would compete against without compromising the Truth of the
Bible.

Thus was birthed the Liveprayer TV program back on March 3, 2003 on the CBS
owned UPN (now CW) affiliate in Tampa, Florida, the #!2 TV market in the
nation.  “Live” every Monday thru Friday from 1-2 a.m. following the last
network program.  I would simply deal with the current issues in the world
and people’s lives from a Biblical worldview, take calls from the viewers to
debate them, answer their questions, counsel or pray for them, and just love
people who were hurting, struggling with life, and give them a word of
encouragement and the greatest gift of all…hope!

As of last Friday, for 1,170 nights, except for 2 nights when the studio was
closed due to the hurricanes we had in 2005, and 2 nights I was out of town
and couldn’t get back due to weather, I have been in my chair to share God’s
Truth with the viewers and minister to them.  In addition to being on the
CBS owned station all that time, for 52 weeks (July 2005-June 2006) the
program was up on satellite and also seen live on the ABC owned stations in
Miami, West Palm Beach, and Jacksonville, and the WB affiliate in Ft. Myers.
For 10 weeks in 2006 the program was also seen nationwide on the “i”
Network.

During this time, millions of people across the nation and around the world
via the Liveprayer.com website have seen the program.  Over 10,000 people we
know of have made the decision to accept Jesus Christ as their personal
Savior by faith.  We have taken over 12,000 phone calls from viewers,
responded to over 3 1/2 million emails for prayer, and have over 30,000
praise reports archived from people who took the time to emails us back and
tell us how God moved in their life.  What we have done is use the secular
media to bring the unadulterated Truth of God’s Word into people’s lives who
for the most part don’t go to church, don’t read the Bible, aren’t
Christians, and see their lives transformed by the power of God.  The hunger
is out there, but so are those who hate God, reject the Bible as Truth,
don’t believe in Jesus, and want to silence the Truth from being told!

You can only imagine the outrage by people who are in bondage to a sin like
homosexuality when I had the audacity to share that the Bible calls their
choice a sin.  You can only imagine the outrage by people who have chosen to
put their faith in the false gods of the world, follow the cults and false
religions that are out there, when I had the audacity to look them in the
eye and tell them they are following a lie to the fires of hell.  You can
only imagine the outrage by people who don’t want to be held accountable by
God or anyone, when I would sit there night after night and tell them that
Absolute Truth does exist and that they are free to believe and do whatever
they want, but there will be consequences for  their choices.  Forty years
ago, there would not have been the outrage from someone preaching a
Biblically based message.  There is today!

Each night we get many hateful emails, every month several death threats are
received by email, letter and phone.  The drive to take this program off the
air started virtually after the first program and has never stopped.  For
CBS, we were a paying client.  We pay them nearly $400,000 a year in air
time and product costs.  The station managers over the years took the
position that we had what some considered “controversial content,” but so
did many programs and that is why they put up the disclaimers before and
after our telecast.  Liveprayer was a good customer and the people who
didn’t like the program didn’t have to watch.  They also knew that I was a
broadcast professional and that I would never do anything to violate FCC
regulations and that we did  tremendous good in the community and in many
lives through the program.

More vocal than even the numerous homosexual groups, Scientologists,
Mormons, and atheists who have been trying to take us off was CAIR, the
Council on American Islamic Relations.  CAIR, who is currently listed as an
unindicted co-conspirator in a Dallas trial involving a terrorist fund
raising operation, is viewed by much of the mainstream media as a Muslim
version of the American Civil Liberties Union instead of the face of the
radical Islamic movement that it has been proven to be since its inception
here in the United States.   CAIR believes that free speech ends when
someone tells the truth about Islam.  Sadly, CBS caved into the intimidation
tactics by CAIR and told us they would be taking our program off the air on
September 11th.  9/11, an interesting date.  You can read more about this
radical Islamic group at:   http://www.anti-cair-net.org/

However, God always has a ram in the bush.  Six months ago, we had begun
developing a new morning program on a competing network in the Tampa market
to reach that “morning prime” audience.  The program would be a bit
different, since it would feature secular guests each morning from the local
Tampa Bay community.  People from the area attractions, restaurants, sports
teams, business and political communities, to deal with the issues in this
area.  That would help us to attract a more secular audience which would
also be hearing the news and events in the world from a Biblical worldview.
We would continue to take some phone calls each day, counsel people, and
share with the audience the Truth of God’s Word and the hope we have in
Jesus.

Over this past weekend, I pressed for a meeting to see if we could salvage
the program.  Out of love and concern for the thousands of people who depend
on the Liveprayer program to be there each night, I met with management
Monday morning, but it was clear the content of the program would be an
ongoing issue for them.   So even though we could stay on CBS until 9/11, we
chose to have our final program on Friday, August 31, the 8 year anniversary
of Liveprayer, and will debut the new morning program “Liveprayer AM,” the
following Monday at 7:30 a.m.  ISN’T GOD GOOD!!!

I love you and care about you so much.   My message for you today is simply
this.  Don’t ever let anyone or anything silence you from telling people the
Truth.  The Truth of God’s Word is all we have.  It is our only message.  I
realize that we will not have much longer before there won’t be any secular
venues left to bring forth the Gospel, but as long as there is one, I will
be there.  The better percentage of two full generations don’t go to church,
don’t read the Bible, and unless they come to know Jesus as their Savior
will die and go to hell.  WE MUST REACH THESE PEOPLE, AND TO DO THAT, WE
HAVE TO INVADE THEIR LIVES WHERE THEY LIVE!!!

Towards that end, we still have a small window to get the night program back
on nationwide on the “i” Network.  I have an option that expires this Friday
to be back on Monday, October 1, “live” every Monday-Friday from Midnight -1
a.m. EDT reaching 90 million of the 100 million TV households in the nation.
I told you last year how critical it was to get the program on and keep it
on, since once the window closes it will be closed for good.  We are
feverishly working on several situations to make that happen, so please
pray.  We need $3 million to cover our first 3 months on the air, after
that, we have our in-house sales team now in place that can secure enough
advertising to keep the program going long term.  If God is speaking to you
about this, contact me and let’s chat.  There isn’t much time left to be
able to bring a true Biblical message to the marketplace using the secular
media, we must take advantage of the time we do have.  THE ETERNAL SOULS OF
PEOPLE, YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE AT STAKE!!!

Thank you for all of your love and prayers, for your concern, and for your
support.  It has been a wild few weeks, with several more ahead, but God is
good.  I told my attorney the other night that CBS by cowering to CAIR might
have just helped execute me.  The international wire services are reporting
that I am some anti-Muslim extremist who is inciting violence against
Muslims.  This has caused a rash of death threats and no doubt, made me a
marked man in the Muslim world.  The sad reality is, I am only interested in
saving their souls, it is Islam that is about killing those who oppose them.
But God is good and I will keep pressing on towards the prize.  I know where
my home is and I also know that as long as God has work for me to do He will
have his legions watching over me.

Tomorrow is promised to none of us.  Every second someone is dying and going
to hell, someone that could have been saved if they had been told about
Jesus and His love for them.  That is what drives me each second of each
day, to keep telling all that I can about our wonderful Savior who loves
them, died for their sins, so that they could  be forgiven and have the
assurance of heaven.  That is the Gospel message and we can’t let ourselves
be  intimidated into silence!

Many people ask me why I keep fighting so hard each day, go through all I do
each day.  Some get upset that I ask people to support God’s work here.  I
don’t play mind games with you, I don’t take passages of the Bible out of
context to try and manipulate you.  I don’t bribe you with gifts to send
Liveprayer money.   I simply tell you what our needs are and ask you to pray
about helping me to do the work God has called us to do.  Not everyone is
called to be physically on the front lines like I am.  Some go to the front
lines through their prayers and through their giving.  A war can’t be fought
without money and some are called to help finance the war!  The reason I put
myself out there, the reason I beg you to help me, is because of people who
send me emails like this:

“Dear Pastor Bill, Without your inspiration and constant presence in my life
over the past two years, I have no doubt that I would NEVER have developed
the frame of mind or sense of hope and optimism to even try to get out of
bed and function again.  In addition to the thyroid cancer you know about, I
was struck by lightning in 1988 and it severely damaged my nervous system
and broke my spine completely.  It is a miracle I can walk at all!  Last
year I had three small heart attacks followed by strokes, and now I have
been diagnosed with COPD and emphysema.  Given all that plus a 60 mile an
hour motorcycle accident and 4 serious car accidents over the past 20 years,
I truly believe you when you say that God still has work for me to do.
Otherwise I would simply have died.  I had given up any thought of ever
being a “productive” member of society again, considering that magnitude of
physical and mental adversities I was faced with.  But you inspired me to
keep going, to get out of bed and try to walk tall in the light of the day
again.  I can never thank you enough!”

Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

Juanita Bynum And Thomas Weeks Fans: More Good Stuff From Brother Lynch!

Posted by Job on August 24, 2007

His Is The Word Of Faith Movement Actually Metaphysics? was so nice, I felt that I should give his followup comments the light of day too.

I think some of you have it wrong. Pray yes, but they have erred for a while publicly. This is the latest in a fiasco in which they have had marriage conferences on HOW to have a successfull marriage….and they both were re-married (Paul says that one should not re-marry, but reconcile with the original spouse), and in the midst of their “success” (naturally) this occurs.

God allowed it, and allowed it publicly. When we step aside of him and proclaim a false Gospel (prosperity, and Word of Faith) we set ourselves against God, and we act as god.

No man can serve TWO masters. Remember that. So someone was being served in this, the almighty God or the prince of the power of the air (the devil). Many have pointed their shenadigans out, and NOW when the truth comes to a head all we hear are excuses. People still call Weeks “Bishop” Is that Biblical??

A Bishop must be BLAMELESS, the husband of ONE (not two or remarried) wife……

With matters such as these, it is amazing that Bible mandates are ignored for the sake of feelings and human perception and unaccountability. God held someone accountable here in this public debacle, and because of the many feelings drawn out of incorrect Biblical interpretation instead of attempting to understand time, language and culture which = proper context and Biblical interpretation, we have a mockary of the “church”.

God’s real stars are working behind closed doors, and interceding, not having “women’s empowerment” conferences, or “how to have a better marriage” conferences.

In all of these matters (which are VERY recent), who KNEW they were separated? Who KNEW they were attempting to RECONCILE? And tehy are teaching others how to have a successfull marriage? Mockery, total mockery and it has come to a head. pray for them, that God have mercy for mocking him and the people that have been fooled and “duped”.

And please….if you understand the role of a Bishop, according to the Bible mandate he (Weeks) has fallen even further from being “Blameless”.

Oh yes and remember…those whom strive to be leaders are held to a STRICTER judgement.

James 3:1

My brethren, be not many masters (teachers, leaders), knowing that we (those who lead) shall receive the greater condemnation.

Remember. This is not a game. Too many are playing church. The church is not a building, it is Gods people made without hands. It is not sitting inside a building, it is the Christians around the globe. Don’t be fooled by this Hollywood Christianity and emotion.

You get high (just like a real drug) and go home to the same issues when you come off. Do not follow those whom preach a false Gospel. They BOTH do. Pray for them and submit yourselves to them no more. Once God has warned and warned, there will be no mercy once judgement is rendered because it is right in front of us.

Terry Hornbuckle went to prison for rape (he is in for 16 years), and many still follow him and CALL him “Bishop”. A shame. Cultic and sad.

To All Defenders Of Juanita Bynum, Benny Hinn, Joel Osteen, TD Jakes, And Other False Preachers: The Cult Of “Do Not Judge”

Posted by Job on August 23, 2007

Read: When They Pierced His Side: The Blood And Water Of Jesus Christ

This is courtesy of Brother Dennis Thompson. Brother Dennis Thompson and I do not agree on everything (see his comment and my response on spiritual warfare) but his comment on An Expose Of Just How Bad Juanita Bynum And Thomas Weeks Are to the many Juanita Bynum defenders on it called The Cult of”DO NOT JUDGE” was too outstanding to remain a mere response to a weblog post: it deserved the spotlight in its own right. Since an Internet search did not turn up the original document in a weblog or website, I will provide the text of Brother Thompson’s comments here. And if you are not saved through Jesus Christ, please follow The Three Step Salvation Plan so that you can be. Salvation can be yours today!

The cult of “Do not Judge”

This article is being written on behalf of all the ministries and people that defend the faith with the truth and are accused of judging because they test those who teach falsely with the Word of God.

The premise-Does God tell us not to judge?
The Bibles answer-No He does not.

John 7:24 Jesus says: “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment.” What Jesus does tell us is not to judge by our own opinions, but instead judge by the word of God, that is what it means to judge righteously. He always encouraged the people to judge. God told Israel to judge the prophets in the Old Testament. He had the true prophets judge the false but the people reacted saying the very same things people are saying today. Your being negative oh you never have anything good to say. In the New Testament we are told to judge prophecy, to discern, to test the spirits and we are told to test ALL things. We are told to do this because it helps keep us away from what is false and evil. The apostle Paul showed us how to judge so there would be no second guesswork. The apostle Paul said, “If anyone preaches another gospel let him be accursed” Would anyone say to Paul’s face “your judging.” In 2 Thess. 3:14-15 “And if anyone does not obey our word in this epistle, note that person and do not keep company with him, that he may be ashamed. Yet do not count him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.” Strong guidelines that many avoid to do today. These are done not to condemn but to bring repentance and restoration.

Lets let God decide whose right or wrong. Does this sound familiar? Except this particular statement was from a Muslim. But it can be anyone from any religion. Even Christians say we should not pursue a matter to find the truth. I realize that when one’s favorite teacher or leader is questioned the initial human response can be one of agitation and turn to over emotionalism. But when feelings do not subside and escalate into anger, rage, and maliciousness, it is not godly at all. Despite that they believe they have a cause to protect their teacher, it is not advantageous for anyone to have their emotions rule if they are trying to arrive at the truth.

There has been a trend going on for a number of years that has dulled the spiritual senses of the church and leavened the convictions of many a Christian. It has risen to new heights as of late where if anyone has anything to say about another they are told, “Don’t judge, “touch not my anointed” “do my prophets no harm” etc. Maybe if some of the people that quote these verses would look at what they actually say “in context,” they wouldn’t have such flawed arguments, they would not find themselves becoming entangled emotionally. Its not just finding a few words to prove a position, but what do they mean in the Scripture in its context and can they apply to us today.

What is ironic is that to tell people they are judgmental is to judge them. What people are doing is recommending for us not to judge by the word of God, but dispense with any discernment, just like they do it. Some even threaten and curse those who test because they cannot deal with the Scriptural proof presented to them. Christians are not to threaten or curse others because they disagree. Neither should they be warning that they are going to prayer, as though God will answer their prayer of vengeance and avenge the persons teaching that was examined and found false. The facts more often than not are; those who say not to judge are incredibly more judgmental then those they accuse of judging.

One person wrote, “Whether _______ is right or wrong is not up to you to discuss with anyone.” Lets look at this illogical statement. Now we can never discuss doctrine and peoples teachings. This means they too cannot discuss anything that they think, even if it is beneficial! But Heb.6:1-3 tells us we can discuss doctrine. “Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this we will do if God permits.” In other words many of these things should be settled, but there are many things that are not.

What I have found is very few challenge back quoting from the Bible to prove their position. Rarely do they say this person does not teach this or you misunderstood, he really means this. What they argue is just don’t test it, or don’t say this because I know such and such for years and they are doing great things for God. That’s judging isn’t it? And it is done by appearance. Then when this does not work they will respond by calling names and threatening people using Bible cliché’s as “don’t judge” “don’t touch God’s anointed,” “do my prophets no harm,” etc., all taken out of context. If they were to think biblically they would realize we are all anointed, not just some, and to come against another brother or sister that is trying to obey Scripture means they too are coming against God’s anointed. Everyone in the body of Christ is anointed; nonetheless what someone teaches is to be tested. How do we know this? Paul commended the Thessalonians for doing so, even when it was Paul himself that was being examined by Scripture (Acts 17:11).That is a right Spirit.

So many have been indoctrinated into the constraint of don’t say anything against another no matter how far off they are. Let God will deal with them. If this were true, then why are we given all the commands in Scripture to judge? Why all the warnings that deception and falsehood will permeate the Church in the end and we are to be on guard? We are told to deal with it and not allow it to continue. It’s not to say that we make mountains out of molehills, but some are already mountains that need to be moved. So lets speak to the mountain, speak to those who congregate at the foot of it and tell them.

We should take note, we all judge things all day: let me give some examples. When you sit down you make sure you’re comfortable, you’re judging whether or not you are comfortable. When you eat food at restaurant you judge whether it taste good or bad, and you judge the service you were given. When you bring your car to a mechanic you look for a good one and then you judge if he did a good job. When you buy a product you make sure it works as advertised. When you receive bills in the mail you judge whether they were recorded right. Even in conversations you judge whether someone is telling the truth. So we judge not only every day, but throughout the day. You can’t help but judge! All these things mentioned do not necessarily have an affect on your spiritual life. But the things that actually can affect your spiritual life people are saying, “don’t judge.” If ever a lie of the Devil was told this was it. When the Devil tempted Eve he hoped that she would not judge what he was saying with what God had already spoke. During the conversation (Gen.3) she began to challenge him by the word of God but he responded by bringing doubt on God’s word, saying “has God said?” By the time he was finished she believed the Devil over what God said. She didn’t judge, and instead she and Adam were judged!

What Has God said?
Jethro gave advice after seeing Moses was going to be burnt out on ruling. Moses responded in Deut. 1:15-18 “So I took the heads of your tribes, wise and knowledgeable men, and made them heads over you, leaders of thousands, leaders of hundreds, leaders of fifties, leaders of tens, and officers for your tribes. “Then I commanded your judges at that time, saying, ‘Hear the cases between your brethren, and judge righteously between a man and his brother or the stranger who is with him. ‘You shall not show partiality in judgment; you shall hear the small as well as the great; you shall not be afraid in any man’s presence, for the judgment is God’s. The case that is too hard for you, bring to me, and I will hear it.’ “And I commanded you at that time all the things which you should do.” This was the law to Israel and a principle of how they were to live. So they were to judge even the menial matters among themselves. This is made clearer in the New Testament about doctrine.

This is again repeated in Deut.16:18-19 “You shall appoint judges and officers in all your gates, which the LORD your God gives you, according to your tribes, and they shall judge the people with just judgment.” You shall not pervert justice; you shall not show partiality, nor take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the righteous.”

Why are some of the most drastic things said by famous people ignored, these scriptures show that it is because people are partial, loyal to the renowned, not caring if they are wrong or right. A bribe can be money or it can be other things such as promises or blessings that will be lost. The outcome is that it twists the words of the righteous when they are manipulated not to say the truth.

Judges 2:18-19 “And when the LORD raised up judges for them, the LORD was with the judge and delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for the LORD was moved to pity by their groaning because of those who oppressed them and harassed them. And it came to pass, when the judge was dead, that they reverted and behaved more corruptly than their fathers, by following other gods, to serve them and bow down to them. They did not cease from their own doings nor from their stubborn way.” The judges were to implement the commands from the word. Notice what happens when there is no judgment to decide what is right or wrong, the people do what they feel like and reap the consequences. The end of the book of judges it tells us what happened, every man did what was right in their own eyes (Judges 17:6, 21:25).

The judges were restored under Jehoshaphat king of Judah. 2 Chron.19:4-7 “So Jehoshaphat dwelt at Jerusalem; and he went out again among the people from Beersheba to the mountains of Ephraim, and brought them back to the LORD God of their fathers. Then he set judges in the land throughout all the fortified cities of Judah, city by city, and said to the judges, “Take heed to what you are doing, for you do not judge for man but for the LORD, who is with you in the judgment.” Now therefore, let the fear of the LORD be upon you; take care and do it, for there is no iniquity with the LORD our God, no partiality, nor taking of bribes.”

For even Asaph said in Ps. 82:1-4 “God stands in the congregation of the mighty; he judges among the gods. How long will you judge unjustly, and show partiality to the wicked? Selah “Defend the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy; free them from the hand of the wicked.” People are defenseless from the wicked when they put aside judgment. Today there are many people that are abused by those who Lord it over them, by manipulation, by teachings and promises that never come true. If you have a heart of compassion you cannot just sit idly by while this takes place, even to those you may not know personally. It is being done to the body of Christ and the body of Christ needs to say something.

What did Jesus actually say on judging?
Protectors of false teachers will say Jesus said, “not to Judge,” quoting Matthew 7:1, therefore that we cannot “judge.” At first glance it appears that Jesus does forbid judging, but lets continue to read the passage. Matthew 7:1-5: “Judge not, that you be not judged.” For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.” And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?” Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye?” Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother’s eye.”

In other words you can judge as along as you are not doing the same thing. If you want to help another and have taken care of yourself in this area, then you are able to see and operate on your brother. Jesus does not say don’t operate under any circumstances, but allows us to remove the speck when we can see. But Jesus goes on and says in v:6: “Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.” What He is saying is that we need to make sure whom we are engaged with. When you try to correct someone with the Holy Word and they are haters of truth they will not receive the pearls and will turn on you. So we are to weigh out whom we give the Word of God out to.

Christ kept this theme throughout His ministry rebuking the people in Luke 12:55-57 “And when you see the south wind blow, you say, ‘There will be hot weather’; and there is.” Hypocrites! You can discern the face of the sky and of the earth, but how is it you do not discern this time? “Yes, and why, even of yourselves, do you not judge what is right?” This was said right after Jesus lectured on His coming, how it would bring division, not unity (Luke 12:56-57).

Jesus also said “Beware of false prophets!” (Matthew 7:15) this is a warning but comes as a command from our Lord. But how could we “beware” of “false prophets” unless we test what they say? Instead of obeying what Jesus said, some actually ignore this and support them. How? By saying, “don’t test it,” “don’t touch God’s anointed.” They do this because they have been taught “by them” not to question them. Loyalty and respect are good qualities but we cannot fall into the trap that because so and so was in ministry for 20-40 years or we know them personally that they can’t say something terribly wrong. True men of God are willing to be corrected from the Word, no matter who spoke a certain teaching or prophecy.

“Ye shall know them by their fruits,” Christ said (Matthew 7:16). In judging their “fruits,” we must judge by God’s Word. So what is fruit? Well to understand fruit we need to take a few steps backwards. The seed is the word of God, it is what gives us the new life. As it grows in us we mature until we become like a tree (Psalm 1), for a tree bears fruit. Christ is using a natural example of a spiritual principle– a mature tree bears fruit. If the seed is the word, than the tree and the roots of the tree must be of the word. So a good tree bears good fruit. The fruit can’t be good if it is not based on the word, in other words they need to have correct doctrine and teach right to have good fruit. This does not mean one is right on everything but they will hold to the core teachings and are consistent in these. They will not say one thing one time, and contradict themselves another time.

In the New Testament this statement sums up what Jesus meant on judging. In John 7:24 says: “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment.” Jesus is saying we can “judge” only do it correctly, not by what you see or hear but by the Word of truth. Just because you don’t want to judge does not mean you have the right to tell others not to. To accuse others of doing what the Bible tells us to do– is to judge without a righteous judgment.

Jesus said in John 5:30 “I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.” To seek God’s will in a matter is to go to Scripture to see what he says on something. Jesus had perfect judgment because he heard from the Father. He also delivered this word to us and says it is not only His Word but the Fathers (Jn.14:24). So if the Word of God is used correctly it is not you or I judging but God, therefore it becomes a righteous judgment.

Jesus again made it clear how to judge unrighteously “You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one. “And yet if I do judge, My judgment is true; for I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent Me” (John 8:15-16). Jesus did not judge by appearances, He was able to know the heart. While we do not have the same ability, He has given us directions on how we can judge and be accurate in it. A crooked stick by itself may not show that it is bent, but it will always be seen as crooked when laid next to the straight stick of the word.

Paul wrote in Phil. 3:15-17 “Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you. Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule let us be of the same mind. Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern.” Paul used himself and the other apostles as our physical examples in everything. Paul could not deal individually with the many false teachers springing up like weeds in the different areas. Paul said to follow his example as he followed Christ. Christ openly showed what is false, so did Paul, and so did the other apostles. Much of the New Testament was written to publicly correct false teaching within the Church itself. Every second epistle written by an apostle is for correction or judging false doctrine. In 2 Timothy 4:10, Paul judges and warns about a man named Demas. Later in the same epistle (2:17) he warns of the heresies of two others naming them. Paul did a lot of judging and warning when it came to false teachers that could influence the church, because he cared. What if Paul didn’t judge and allowed Alexander to continue teaching, what if Peter let Simon Magus stay in the Church? Think it through!

We also have permission to judge false doctrine, and those who really care do so.

What about love?
John the Baptist called both the Pharisees and Sadducees “a generation of Vipers” (snakes) (Matt. 3:7), he rebuked Herod the king. Today, he would be accused of being unloving, unkind, no respect for leaders and most of all un-Christian. Jesus and Paul would also be accused of being judgmental if one would examine what they actually said. I believe God has been training the Church to recognize error and deception because the real deception that could deceive the elect may be just around the corner. If you can’t judge today’s falsehood you will certainly be unable to tomorrow when things escalate. Is it now unloving to stop someone from going over cliff when you already know where the road ends.

How else do you protect the sheep if you do not speak out? Let me give a simple example: If someone is selling a false product in your city and numerous people are buying it and becoming sick. What would you do? What if you tried to go to the manufacturer but he would not meet with you because he is an important man in the community and you are not? Do you keep silent and just let it go or is it your duty to let others know? James says not to do something you know is right is sin. So you are sinning if you have any idea it could be wrong. Here in lies the problem, the people who say don’t judge do this for protection of their teachers. But they will often admit that they know there are things wrong, but they have not come to the conclusion of how wrong it is.

The Apostle Paul also writes: “And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all discernment (judgment) that you may approve things that are excellent in God’s sight.” It is this same love that he applies to Eph. 4:14-15 “that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head-Christ” This truth would be the word that would challenge the words from deceivers who are deceived and affecting the body with “winds of doctrine.”

We are to identify certain people for the brethren’s own safety. We are to identify false teachers for the purpose of protecting the sheep in Christ’s Church, and we certainly don’t need to apologize for this. We are our brothers keeper. This love is a discriminating love, a love that cares enough for others and is not concerned with what people think of you, especially when you know that you are right from the Word.

Hanging with people who teach falsely will rub off on you, the cliché for self protection “touch not my anointed” becomes “let it be,” it is grinded into the followers and moaned by them toward those who have anything to say about their favorite teachers. One needs to hear both sides before they can make a just decision. Find the proof that what they teach is from the Bible and not from their own imagination of what they think the Bible says.

Lets look at what those who say not to judge are actually saying the Word of God states, next to what the Word of God actually says.

Those who say “Don’t judge- 1 Thess. 5:21-22 “Don’t Test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil.”

The BIBLE-1Thess. 5:21-22 “Test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil.”

Is it evil to test-NO it is not! We are told to test ALL things, not just pick and choose what and when to test. Now this does not mean we become the judge and jury or walk around with a critical eye on everything. It means we are to be sober and vigilant and not take for granted that everything said is the Gospel.

Those who say “Don’t judge- I John 4:1-3 “Beloved, do believe every spirit, don’t test the spirits, whether they are of God”

The BIBLE- I John 4:1-3 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

“Do my prophets no harm.” Meant not to lay hands on them. False prophets were to be rejected and stoned in the Old Testament (Deut.18:20). Instead , Israel killed the true prophets (Mt.23:35-37). No one is laying hands on anyone today. The Bible tells us to judge prophets. 1 Cor. 14:29 “Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge.” It does not just say let only the other prophets judge, but the “others.” These others may have the gift of prophecy or those gifted in the word and Spirit. This would also relate to 1 Cor.12:10 which tells us one of the gifts of the Spirit is a discerning of spirits. (judging, determining what is from God or not). Exactly what John writes in I John 4:1-3 “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God” Here again we are told to judge, and in this case it could mean the whole congregation. The “discerning of spirits” is probably the most needed gift in the end times where Jesus said many false prophets and teachers would be around us. When there is a need God raises up a standard. As Paul continues to write “the spirit of the prophets are subject to the prophets.” This does not mean we turn over a meeting to false prophets to validate the prior false prophets that spoke. Today we have a repetition of the error of the people in Jeremiah’s time “An astonishing and horrible thing has been committed in the land: The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own power; and My people love to have it so. But what will you do in the end?” (Jer. 5:30-31) He asks a question that we need to answer today. What will you do?

No person is to be prevented from the right of investigating and comparing with the Bible what is said. Who would desire to prohibit the people from a full and free examination of what is said? Certainly it would not be God who tells us to judge in the Word. The guideline of testing and judging stresses the importance of truth being accepted and error being rejected. It gives accountability for what one says as a teacher to many people, this reduces the margin of error spread to the people.

Believers are not to avoid judging, just avoid judging with a final condemnation (the eternal destiny of someone). This word judge (Greek-krino) is used over 80 times in the New Testament and it means to call in question, discern, conclude, decree, and determine. The meaning does not mean to condemn in judgment; the context shows we are responsible to correctly evaluate a thing or an act. It does not mean to glean the truth and ignore the false because their good outweighs the bad. We cannot always judge someone’s motives, only God has this kind ability. We are commanded to judge what they spoke, their teachings. God is the ultimate judge on eternal life but we the church are to be keepers of the truth, to do this one must test what is said and reject falsehood.

Heb. 5:12-14 “For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”

The author tells us that believers who are “mature,” are those who have trained themselves to exercise judgment, to discern between good and evil through the Word, not by feelings. That is judging; those who do not judge are babes in the word. One of the ways to show you are spiritually mature is to seek out a matter on its own without being persuaded by public opinions or the status of a person. People today often trust a person’s position or fame more than the Holy Spirits discernment given in the Word. Error can only be seen as error only when it is measured against the truth. This means judging. If you accept anything everyone says because of who they are you are just a sponge that will soak up both the good and the bad equally. Then the only way we can get rid of the bad is for God to wring it out of you. That is not always a pleasant experience.

When we ignore the false we are helping the devil’s cause because the truth becomes hidden. The Devil hates the truth because it exposes anything that is false: sometimes it is well hidden. Jesus warned us that false prophets and false disciples would arise and He told us how to know the difference. When somebody says that you are judging, they are wrong, we are inspecting the fruit that comes from the tree and we are told to do so. When we decide what someone is teaching is wrong by the Word that is not our judgment but God’s. But if we decide simply by loyalty and allegiance this does not prove it is true and it becomes what Jesus called judging by appearance.

Attacks without a biblical case– without the facts proves that one is relying on their feelings and having blind loyalty. One needs to make a case from the Bible or they become guilty of the very thing they accuse others of. Proverbs tells us to hear both sides of a matter before we make a decision.

When sheep follow sheep instead of the shepherd they will reap the consequences. It’s well known that sheep are some of the dumbest animals on God’s green earth, you and I both are not as smart as we think we are. Peter quotes Isa.53 “For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls (1 Pet. 2:25). Matt. 9:36 “But when he (Jesus) saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.” There are some Christians that confess Jesus as their Lord but instead of him being their shepherd they allow other men to lead them, they listen to their voice telling them what God has said. Certainly God has appointed teachers in the body of Christ, but no one is above scrutiny. Jesus said “But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:26-27). We see this in cults where what the leader of the group says becomes more important than what the Scriptures say. People listen to other men’s interpretation and what “they say God said” without ever going to Scripture to see if it is true. Lets make sure we are listening to the shepherds voice and not another’s.

What we are not to judge?
These are just a few things to think about. Col 2:16 “So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or Sabbaths.”

We are to avoid judgment on days of worship and food lest we stumble someone. Rom 14:10-15 “But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written: “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God.” So then each of us shall give account of himself to God. Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother’s way. I know and am convinced by the Lord Jesus that there is nothing unclean of itself; but to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean. Yet if your brother is grieved because of your food, you are no longer walking in love. Do not destroy with your food the one for whom Christ died.” The point Paul is making is not to stumble a brother or sister by your freedom from the Old Testament law. But to allow false teaching to freely take place would be to stumble them.

Conclusion
Why do I call this movement of “do not judge” a cult? Because for the most part they follow there leaders advice and not the shepherd of their souls. They are not thinking, as the Bible tells us “to test ALL things.” Many are not being taught to think, instead they have been taught what to think. I know this may be harsh to some, but its telling it straight. When we willfully do what we are told, without our checking it out ourselves, we become like the cults. Those who do not judge teaching are actually disobeying what the Bible tells us to do. And they are telling others to do the same, sometimes by intimidation.

The early church was apologetic and polemic. They contended for the faith to those outside and had to do the same inside. If we do not take up this same attitude that is clearly presented in the Scriptures, we will be leavened beyond belief. Many of us see this as a very dangerous trend going on inside the Church. It needs to stop and we need to get back to what the Bible actually says.

2 John 10-11: “If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed. For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.” It may not say the word judge or test but its obvious one must do so to know there is a difference in doctrine. And it is in this “spirit of the text” many other Scriptures are written. Paul writes to Titus about the insubordinate, idle talkers and deceivers “Wherefore rebuke them sharply that they may be sound in the faith” (Titus 1:13).

Jesus commended those who judged to arrive at the truth, “I know that you cannot tolerate wicked men, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false” (Revelation 2:2). All the apostles approved judging those who claimed leadership positions.

Paul wrote Timothy who was new to the ministry “I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry” (2 Tim. 4:1-5).

What afflictions is he talking about? Those who came against Timothy in doing things that are required of God. What things? Convincing, rebuking, and exhorting those who have turned from the truth, God’s word.. If you are one who has learned to discern truth from error, continue to do so, don’t be intimidated. If you have been called to be a watchman and God has given you discernment, use it and don’t let anyone discourage or threaten you, fulfill your ministry.

Pat Robertson Promoting The Chinese Government

Posted by Job on August 13, 2007

A few years back, Pat Robertson endorsed the Chinese policy of forced abortions. Just last year, Robertson spoke of how gracious the Chinese were for allowing CBN access to their airwaves, and actually claimed that God was dealing directly with the Chinese before He did so with the people of Abraham. Now, here is this article, where Robertson claims that revival is happening in China. Realize that China is doing all they can to keep the horrible crimes committed by their godless regime – including but not limited to its shameful persecution of Christians – out of the public eye while they use the Olympics as a Potemkin commercial for their godless statism. So, you had Rick Warren carrying water for Syria and North Korea, now Pat Robertson is doing the same for China. Further, Robertson supports the Bush administration DESPITE Bush’s dedicated support of China. Then again, since billionaire Pat Robertson has myriad business ventures overseas, it might be because of it. Please see this atrocious link.

Seven days a week, the machines at the Nanjing Amity Printing Company churn out copies of what some claim is one of China’s best-selling books – the Bible. Forty-three million Bibles have been printed legally in Communist China since 1987. Once a banned book, today some 3 million copies are printed and distributed each year across the country.

And this year, Chinese Christian leaders are hoping to print a special edition of the Bible to make available to the hundreds of thousands of athletes and visitors expected to attend next year’s Olympic Games. Dr. Cao Shengjie of China Christian council oversees the printing of Bibles in China. He said, “And so for this very important occasion, we hope we can print a special edition, maybe the four Gospels in English and Chinese, bilingual.”

Lui Bainian, a top leader of China’s officially sanctioned Catholic organization, wants to take it a step further and place these Bibles in some of the major hotels in Beijing. “I want our visitors to know that we have religious freedom here and this is a small step to meet their religious needs during the Olympic,” Bainian said. The Chinese capital has hundreds of hotels. One of the biggest in town, the Minzu hotel, is entertaining the idea of making the Bibles available to Olympic guests.

“We are doing our preparations and once we know where our guests are coming from, we will be ready to meet their spiritual needs,” Minzu Hotel General Manager Chen Guoyao said. The Beijing Olympic Committee is also getting religious. It plans to provide Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, and Muslim services. “I think the needs of various religious groups will be taken into consideration and as a matter of fact, for example, inside the Olympic Village, we are going to set up a religious service center,” Sun Weide, deputy director of communications for the Beijing Olympic committee said.

Shengjie says it is important for people outside of China, especially Christians, to know the real situation of Christianity in China. “I think the Olympics is a good opportunity because so many people will come from all over the world. And so they can come and see with their own eyes,” he said. And what they will see is a China that’s experiencing unprecedented religious fervor. When athletes and visitors arrive in Beijing next year for the Olympic Games, they will find a city and a nation in the middle of what some are calling a spiritual awakening.

Despite the government’s official doctrine of atheism, millions of Chinese are turning to religion. (The reason why is because communist governments have acknowledged that if they prohibit faith, it will only make the people even more zealous and willing to agititate against the regime. So, rather than making the same mistake that the Soviet Union and other Marxist regimes did, statist regimes are now co – opting religion, knowing that doing so will actually increase their power. Vladimir Putin, for instance, is using the Russian Orthodox Church for his own ends, including keeping the Through The Bible radio ministry off Russian airwaves.)

And as Pat Robertson says, “It’s not China our enemy, it’s China our friend.”  Watch the video above for the complete report followed by Robertson’s prayer for China. (Please note, the bold and the italics appear in the original article: I DID NOT ADD IT!)

“People now feel more freer, more open to express their religious convictions,” said Tong Shijun, professor of philosophy at East China Normal University. (That is the ticket, make them THINK that they have more freedoms so that they will not oppose the regime, while the state is still in control through their regulation of religious life.)Tong Shijun teaches at a prominent university in Shanghai. He’s just completed the first major survey on religious beliefs in China. And according to his findings, 31.4 percent of those surveyed said they were religious – putting the number of believers in China at about 300 million.

“The increase of the number and the increase of the percentage was quiet large,” Shijun said. “Quite dramatic.” Christianity is also growing fast. Twelve percent, or 40 million people, described themselves in the poll as followers of Christianity, much higher than official figures given by the Chinese government. (The reason why is that attending any church outside of the churches regulated by the Chinese government is ILLEGAL. The Chinese government even appoints Catholic bishops to peddle their propaganda in their nation, similar to how the Roman government used to appoint Sadducees as high priests during the time of Jesus Christ.)

What is fueling these conversions? Chinese experts say that a growing number of people are turning to religion to better cope with the country’s rapid social and economic changes. (And like all satanic state churches, China is just fine with people becoming Christian for any reason OTHER than to accept and spread the gospel, because that is what Satan desires. Since Pat Robertson is obviously fine with this too, it is clear whose side on the war between Jesus Christ and Satan he is on.)

Molly Fung works in Beijing’s financial district. She recently started going to church. She said she wanted God to give her strength to deal with the pressures of life. “I think that when I am stronger, I can help others, my friends and my family and tell them how to deal with the pressures,” she said. (Helping people make Jesus Christ their personal savior so that they can be freed from sin and death and go to heaven? Apparently that is not part of the agenda.) He Hong is an economics student in Shanghai who recently spent an afternoon at a local Christian bookstore. “Today in our country, more and more people, especially the young people have a yearning for spirituality” Hong, a Shanghai university student, explained. “So many of my friends feel empty in their hearts. We feel so much pressure to get a job, have a better education.”According to Shengjie, so many of them are turning up at church looking for answers. (And the Chinese government says “If false Christianity motivates you to work harder for longer hours for less pay, then we’re fine with that. And since these same Chinese “Christians” would obviously use their money to support Pat Robertson’s financial empire, he is fine with it too. And have you noticed that where Robertson used to be fundamentalist his doctrine has been trending more and more towards prosperity lately?)

“People can easily think that to have a better living and to earn more money is the goal of life but the church, we will tell people that the man does not live by bread alone, we need the Word of God,” Shengjie said.

Buddhism, Taoism, and other religions are also experiencing growth. Shijun believes that the government is starting to recognize the role religion could play in society.

“In the last couple of decades the situation is that religious life is recognized to have a positive role in society, generally speaking, as long as these religious groups abide by the national and local laws,” he said.

Strict limitations on religion remain, however. For example, China only recognizes government registered churches and considers unregistered house churches illegal.  (The only reference to the actual situation in China, and they do their best to A) bury it and B) portray it in the best possible context, a far cry from how Robertson treats the issue of Christian persecution in nations where he does not have substantial business dealings with the governments.)

Still Chinese Christian leaders hope next year’s Olympic Games will be an opportunity to showcase China’s diverse and growing religious tapestry. (If by that you mean keep the U.N. and western financial interests from threatening boycotts and sanctions over their persecution of legitimate religious groups rather than state – controlled ones, sure that is what they want, and Pat Robertson is helping.) “Our expectation is to have more friendship and fellowship,” Shengjie said.

Pat Robertson’s CBN empire may produce some decent children’s entertainment now and then – yes Superbook and The Flying House are great, although their newer stuff, while having better production values, are very thin theologically – but now that his business and political interests are dictating his theological positions, it is time to put him in the false preacher category. I wonder if these Sun Myung Moon Council On Foreign Relations/Center For National Policy hooks that are into Robertson and so many of these other leading Christian evangelists are far deeper than we previously thought. And oh look … Ralph Reed lobbies for China also! Christians, we must stay true to the Bible, and that means opposing these false preachers and liars on the religious right as well as those in the religious left.

People That Protest The Iraq War But Not Abortion Are Hypocrites

Posted by Job on August 3, 2007

If you wish to subscribe to Pastor Bill Keller’s devotionals click here: www.liveprayer.com/signup.cfm

(James 2:17)

***MINNESOTA BRIDGE TRAGEDY!   Please join me in prayer for those families
who lost loved ones in the I-35 bridge collapse Wednesday in Minneapolis/St.
Paul.  We are also praying for those who were injured to fully recover.  Our
thoughts and prayers are with our friends in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area
as they recover from this horrible event.

(Personal note: I vehemently disagree with Bill Keller’s general support of the Iraq War. However, I agree with even more stridently that those who protest the Iraq War while supporting or remaining silent on abortion commit the sin of hypocrisy, and that goes triple for professed Christians.)

***OVER 1,000 BABIES WE KNOW OF ARE ALIVE TODAY BECAUSE OF THIS VIDEO!!!

In the 12 months since I put a 55 second video clip of an actual abortion being
performed on the Liveprayer.com homepage, we have received emails from over
1.000 women who were planning on killing their babies, but after watching
that video clip realized they couldn’t do it and chose to let their babies LIVE!
Praise God!  Please, get anyone you know who is even thinking of an abortion
to go watch this video before they make that horrible mistake they will deal
with for the rest of their lives.   http://www.liveprayer.com/abortion.cfm

Why are the people who are protesting the war in Iraq, upset over those who
are being killed, the same people who fight so we can keep slaughtering over
4,000 innocent babies in this nation EVERY DAY???  I find it ironic those
who wax eloquently on the horrors of those who have been killed in the war
we are waging against those who want to see us wiped off the face of the
planet, are the very same people who actively protest and fight to keep the
practice of infanticide legal in this nation.  Where is their outrage over
the fact that every 24 hours, another 4,000 innocent babies are slaughtered
in this nation??

What can I do?  In dealing with the abortion issue often, helping you to
understand the reality of this blight on our nation both politically and
spiritually, many people who email me ask, “What can I do?”  Over 150 years
ago our nation legally practiced another abomination to God, slavery.  It
was the people of God, those who knew Christ as their Savior who ultimately
forced the abolition of this gross wickedness of one man to another.  It was
men and women of God who refused to sit back and watch unbridled sin exist
despite the fact that it was “legal.”  So it will be with abortion as men
and women of faith properly ask the question, “What can I do?”

In the Book of James, God tells us that “faith without works is dead.” Since
this was written to the church, people who were already saved, it in NO WAY
implies that works will save you.  Ephesians 2:8,9 and many other passages
clearly refute that notion.  What that passage is saying however, is that
once you are saved your faith requires action.  If you are truly saved, you
understand that you have a God-given plan and purpose for your life that
must be fulfilled.  You understand that your life is no longer your own,
that it belongs to Christ.  Your life literally becomes an instrument in the
hands of God to fulfill His Divine plan and purpose.  To be used by God our
Creator is the greatest use of our days on this earth there can be.

While we all have been called to serve God in different ways, we are all
part of the same Body.  We may have different jobs to perform but we are all
on the same team.  Being part of the Body of Christ also carries some shared
responsibilities.  We are all ambassadors of Christ and His representatives
at all times.  We all are called to share our faith with the hurting and
lost, to give people a “reason for the hope we have.”  We all accept the
Absolute Truth and authority of God’s Word.  Subsequently, we can’t simply
sit back and see sin abound and do nothing.  The existence of sin requires
and DEMANDS action on the part of the child of God.

So when confronted with the sin of abortion, what should that action be?
First, prayer.  PRAYER CHANGES THINGS!  I can only imagine the number of
prayers that went up every day during the time slavery was legal in this
nation, that this inhumane practice would end.  Don’t ever underestimate the
power of prayer and EVERY child of God must pray daily for this nation to
get out of the business of killing babies.

Second, communicate to others the Truth of God’s Word.  It is God Himself
who calls abortion murder.  Those who know Christ cannot sit back and be
silent while people support this sin.  Wherever the discussion of abortion
exists, be it in your home with family members, at work or school, out with
friends, or in the public square, a child of God MUST speak out for
righteousness and call this sin what it is…MURDER!

Third, evangelism.  Some of you may be confused how evangelism has anything
to do with the abortion issue, but it is THE answer to this and every other
issue.  You see, when a person is saved, the Bible says they become a “new
creature in Christ.”  They literally are a new creation and the “old things
pass away.”  When a person is saved they get a new heart, they get new
desires, they start to live their life in obedience to God instead of in
rebellion to Him.  The ultimate answer to the abortion issue is to get
people saved since they would no longer make the choice to kill their baby
and the abortion mills would close down due to a lack of business.

AGAIN, EVERY PERSON THAT KNOWS JESUS HAS THE MANDATE FROM OUR LORD TO SHARE
THE HOPE AND LOVE WE HAVE IN CHRIST WITH THE LOST.  THIS IS NOT AN OPTION,
IT IS A COMMANDMENT!

I love you and care about you so much.  I know from the outpouring of emails I receive on this issue, many people are frustrated and feel helpless.  Let me remind you, as a child of God we have the greatest power there is, the power of the Holy Sprit indwelling within us.  The Bible proclaims that
NOTHING is impossible with God.  That includes seeing the sin of abortion being performed daily with the full blessings and protection of our Federal Government being wiped out!

Do you realize that less than 4,000 people were killed on 9/11.  The United States properly responded, spending billions to defeat those who would seek to destroy our nation and kill each one of us if they were given the opportunity.  However, more than that number of innocent babies are slaughtered DAILY!  It is clear that the politicians have no guts to stop this practice of legalized infanticide, just like they had no guts to stop the evils of slavery.  It was the people of God who brought slavery to an
end and it will have to be the people of God to bring abortion to an end!

Every man, woman, and child that knows Christ as their Savior can pray, can communicate the Truth of God’s Word that abortion is murder, and can help bring the lost to faith in Christ.  Remember, nothing you do for the Lord is in vain.  If just these things were being done by those who have a personal relationship with Jesus, you would see a major shift on this issue overnight.  In addition, God will raise up key men and women to take a leadership position in carrying out whatever His ultimate plan is to see victory over the sin of abortion.

I will be praying for you today.  Praying that you will realize you DO make a difference.  Just like no one person got this nation to abolish the sin of slavery, it will not be one person to get this nation to abolish the sin of abortion.  It is going to take all of those who know the Lord to make this
happen.  May we rise up in the power of Almighty God and take a stand for righteousness as we say to this lost world, no more killing babies.  We either take action against this sin or we are no better than those who support it.  You ask the question, “What can I do?”  Now I ask you the question, ” What WILL you do?”

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

Deuteronomy 16:17 Feeding The Sheep Not Fleecing The Sheep

Posted by Job on July 27, 2007

***FOLLOW UP THOUGHT TO THE MICHAEL VICK/DOG FIGHTING DEVOTIONAL:  Why are people who are so outraged over the barbaric sport of dog fighting, not
equally as outraged over the fact FOUR THOUSAND INNOCENT BABIES ARE
SLAUGHTERED IN THIS NATION EVERY DAY??  Memo to Senator Byrd:  Your tearful
speech about the dogs inhumanely treated by Vick and others in the world of
dog fighting was on the money.  However, why don’t you don’t shed those same
tears over the innocent babies you vote to legally slaughter?

Feeding the sheep, not fleecing the sheep.  For many years, in addition to
preaching in churches around the country, I was heavily involved in the
Christian television world.  I produced programming, consulted with most of
the networks and stations, as well as many of the top TV ministries in the
area of fundraising.  What I saw during those years were huge
infrastructures of buildings and people that had to be fed, and heads of
networks and TV ministries that lived extravagant and opulent lifestyles.
Of course, the money for all this came from the people they were there to
minister to.  The focus of the planning meetings I sat in on were not about
how to minister to people, but how to get them to give!  It was not about
feeding the sheep, but fleecing the sheep!!!

Listen, nobody understands the need to raise money to spread the Gospel like
I do.  That is why I don’t have a building, but still operate out of the
back of the same used car lot owned by one of my board members we started in
almost 8 years ago.  That is why I don’t have a huge staff of people, but
have managed to use technology to streamline the operations and depend on
several key people to perform multiple jobs.  That is why I don’t live in a
million dollar home and drive brand new luxury cars or fly around in private
jets.  I have done everything humanly possible to bring God’s Word to this
lost world and share the hope and love of Christ with the lost masses in the
most efficient and inexpensive way possible!

THE MONEY PEOPLE GIVE TO LIVEPRAYER DOESN’T GO TO SUPPORT THE TEMPORAL
THINGS OF THIS WORLD BUT DIRECTLY INTO THE ETERNAL SOULS OF MEN!

Many people have asked why we struggle so much just to meet our budget each
month.  Simple!  Despite knowing every trick there is to raise money, I
refuse to prostitute the people we minister to by selling their information
to marketing companies or trying to get them to buy every kind of product
and service known to man.  Everything we do at Liveprayer is FREE!  I am not
here to sell people anything, but to GIVE them the Word of God and the hope
we have in Jesus!  I am not trying to reach people to generate money from
them, but to bring God’s truth into their lives.  People know if you really
care about them, or if you only care about how much money they can give you!
I refuse to look at people as “giving units,” but as souls to challenge and
encourage, to help along life’s journey.  The day I begin to look at the
people we minister to as nothing but a group of people to generate money
from, I’ll leave the ministry.

From day one, God told me to share our need and let Him move on the hearts
of people to give.  For 94 months now I have watched Him do just that.  We
literally operate month to month and I only ask people to give what we need
to get through that month.  Each month is a testimony in and of itself of
how God provides.  People ask me how I sleep when we need $40,000 in a few
days to pay the bills.   I tell them one advantage to only sleeping 4 hours
a day is you sleep real good for those 4 hours!  But seriously, I know I
have to do my part and share the need, contact people who I know who have
the ability to help, and then trust God to move on hearts.  God has honored
our faith and commitment to trust Him, and as we start each month, I know
His Spirit is guiding us since He is the one who sustains what we do each
month.

I am excited since we are close to finalizing some incredible situations
that will allow us to reach even more souls each day for the Lord, to bring
His Truth to an ever larger audience, and in the process, generate some
revenues to help take the pressure off of those who support God’s work here
each month.  I see a day very soon when we will have advertising dollars and
other sponsorship revenues that will support all of our ministry efforts,
and we can focus on special projects a few times a year to ask people to
donate to so that we can be a blessing to those who are hurting and need a
helping hand.

My first personal encounter with big time Christian fund-raising came 15
years ago. I was backstage with a friend at a Telethon being put on by one
of the larger Christian television stations. They were only moments from
going on the air when all of a sudden a rather large man with an Irish
accent came up to me and asked me what 1000 divided by 12 was. It seemed
like a very odd question, but I thought for a moment and told him it was 83
and about a third. He thanked me, and just moments later he was on the set
to the host of the Telethon on “live” television. After exchanging a few
pleasantries, the host asked this man if he had anything special to share
with the viewers that evening.

The man with the Irish accent then began to share how he had been in prayer
in his hotel room all afternoon, seeking a special word from God for the
viewers that night. He stated that after many hours on his knees, God spoke
into his Spirit to share Psalms 83 Verse 18. I opened my Bible and read the
verse and was a little confused what was so special about that verse, but
the preacher began to share that through Christian television people all
over would know the name of Jesus.

I was still a bit confused, until he began to challenge the people that God
wanted them to make a pledge of $83.18 over the next 12 months to that
Christian television station. It finally sunk in that the only reason he
chose that verse was not from some great revelation God had given to him,
but it was to try and generate $1,000 pledges from the viewers. I have to be
honest when I tell you that it took every ounce of self control that I had,
not to run onto the set and call this man a liar. It literally made me ill.

Let me tell you right now that major crusades don’t take the offering AFTER
an hour of powerful praise and worship by accident. The largest Christian
television network CANNOT get you out of debt by you giving them $2,000.
There is NOTHING Biblical about “burning your debt!” NEVER make a pledge
with money that you DON’T HAVE! NEVER EVER, let any church or ministry
intimidate you, or “guilt you” into giving!!! THAT IS NOT OF GOD!!!

So much of the fund-raising and financial pleas I see take God’s Word
totally out of context. Giving to a ministry does NOT guarantee that you
will get back that money plus so many times more. God blesses our obedience
in MANY ways, not just financially. Our health is a GREAT blessing. The
health and safety of our family and friends is a GREAT blessing. Our old car
starting and getting us from place to place each day is a GREAT blessing.
God moving in a situation at work or school is a GREAT blessing.  The point
is that God DOES bless us for our obedience and faithfulness, God DOES bless
us when we are faithful and obedient in our giving. But His blessings come
in many forms, NOT just financial.

From day one in my ministry, I have done my best to follow the Biblical
formula for giving. First, giving is an act of worship. It is a way to honor
God for His provision in our life. Second, ALL that we have belongs to Him.
When we give, we are simply giving back to God a portion of what He has
entrusted to us. Third, the Bible says to “give according to your ability to
give.” You can’t give what you don’t have, nor does God expect you to pledge
money you don’t have!

And yes, we are told to give God a portion of what He gives us right off the
top, but God also expects you to take care of your day to day living needs
as well. It makes no sense to give God $30 when you have no more money and
you have an electric bill for $30. PAY YOUR ELECTRIC BILL. DON’T EVER SEND
TO LIVEPRAYER THE MONEY YOU NEED TO PAY YOUR BILLS OR TO FEED YOUR FAMILY!
TAKE CARE OF YOUR NEEDS FIRST!  When you are faithful in tithing to God each
week, you will be amazed how God will bless your finances. God WILL bless
you for your obedience in this area. Giving IS important, but giving for the
right reasons is just as important.

I love you and care about you so much. I am sure that I probably greatly
upset some people in the ministry today. But God never intended people to
give out of guilt, or give because they have been manipulated or tricked. We
are to give because of our love for God. We give because God has entrusted
each of us with a certain amount of provision during our life, and it is an
act of obedience when we give a portion of that to Him. The Bible teaches
that we give our tithe to the place where we are fed, which in most cases is
our home church. Our gifts are what we give to those additional works of God
outside of the church that the Lord uses to feed us spiritually and gives us
a burden for.

When God directed Moses to build the Tabernacle, when God directed David to
build the Temple, He told them both the same thing. Share the exact need
with the people and challenge them to give. THAT my friend is the Biblical
example of how to fund God’s work. Go to God’s people, share the exact need,
and challenge them to pray and give as God leads them to give. We are to
give out of our love for God, we are to give because all that we have
belongs to God, we are to give with a joyful heart . . . NOT out of guilt!!!
I count it a great honor to come into your life each day and share God’s
Truth and Christ’s love with you.  I am not here to fleece you but to FEED
you!!!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

Europe Throws People In Jail For Opposing Homosexuality

Posted by Job on July 25, 2007

From http://www.brusselsjournal.com/node/2221: Belgian homosexual activists have brought charges against Mgr André-Mutien Léonard, the Roman-Catholic bishop of Namur, for homophobia, a criminal offence in Belgium according to the country’s 2003 Anti-Discrimination Act. In an interview last April in the Walloon weekly Télé Moustique, the bishop is said to have described homosexuals as “abnormal” people. According to Michel Graindorge, the activists’ lawyer, the bishop intended to “stigmatize” homosexuals, whose “identity and dignity is debased from the moment that the bishop considers them to be abnormal.” Mr Graindorge warned for the dangers of such stigmatization, which he claims leads to  “the fate the Nazis reserved for [homosexuals].” Homosexual activists claim that the Nazis sent homosexuals to extermination camps. The homosexual activists also take offence at Mgr Léonard’s reference to Sigmund Freud, arguing that Freud did not consider homosexuality to be abnormal. The bishop says that he never described homosexual people as “abnormal people,” but was only referring to their sexual behaviour which deviates from the normal pattern. “One has to distinguish between the person and his behaviour,” he explained. However, according to the journalist who taped the interview, the bishop had been referring to the people rather than their behaviour. Last January Christian Vanneste, a member of the French parliament (who has just been reelected), was convicted for homophobia by a French court. Mr Vanneste had said that “heterosexuality is morally superior to homosexuality” and that “homosexuality endangers the survival of mankind.”

Meanwhile Sweden is preparing a law, which is expected to be voted next January, to  allow homosexual couples to marry in church.

Anglican Church: Opposing Sin Is A Bigger Sin Than Sin Itself?

Posted by Job on July 24, 2007

Original Link Here The Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland, the Most Rev Alan Harper, has spoken out on the “sin” of division plaguing what he calls the “tortured” Anglican Communion.

Speaking in his address on the Feast Day of St Mary Magdalene, he said he had come to believe that “division is a greater sin even than heresy”.

He appealed to fellow Anglicans to remember Paul’s call for patient forbearance in his letter to the Ephesians, warning that disunity and “open rupture” were a “sign that the full stature of Christ remains absent from the Body”.

Archbishop Drexel Gomez warned the General Synod of the Church of England earlier in the month that, “Unless we can make a fresh statement clearly and basically of what holds us together we are destined to grow apart”.

Archbishop Harper referred to his comments by adding that “a spirit of arrogance on both sides is causing people of genuine faith and undoubted love for the Lord Jesus to bypass the requirement for patience and for making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace”.

He went on to express his concerns over an Anglican Covenant, which the Church of England reaffirmed its commitment to during the July Synod.

A Covenant Design Group was appointed earlier in the year by the Archbishop of Canterbury on behalf of the Primates of the Anglican Communion to clarify the foundations of Anglican belief, particularly on the homosexuality issue and how member churches and provinces should manage related disputes.

Archbishop Harper said that unless it were “open and generous and broad” it may simply turn out to be a “further means of obstruction; a boulder, rather than a lever to remove what obscures and impedes our access to the truth that sets us free”.

The motion in the Church of England General Synod supporting the development of the Anglican Covenant received the backing of the majority of Synod members, including one of the Church of England’s more conservative leaders, the Bishop of Rochester, the Most Rev Michael Nazir Ali. However, looks like Bishop Akinola has some support:

The American Anglican Council (AAC) has praised the recent statement from the Global South Steering Committee urging The Episcopal Church (TEC) to repent and change to restore true communion to the worldwide Anglican Churches.

The statement is “a clear warning to both Presiding Bishop Schori and Archbishop Williams,” said AAC President and CEO the Rev Canon David C. Anderson.

“The Global South and their 40 million congregants refuse to sit by and watch The Episcopal Church (TEC) defy Communion agreements and legally persecute those US parishes that wish to remain faithful to the Gospel and church teaching,” Anderson added.

The Global South Primates recently urged TEC to reconsider its rejection of February’s Dar Es Salaam Communiqué which requested the US Church to recommit to the Windsor Report, and called for TEC’s “heartfelt repentance and genuine change” in order to restore true communion.

The statement also called the Anglican Church of Canada to task for their declaration that “same-sex blessing is not core doctrine” and their defiance of Windsor Report recommendations.

In addition, the statement made clear the Global South’s intention to continue extending pastoral care to US-based churches and to make similar provisions for biblically faithful churches in Canada.

The statement also indicated the Global South’s resolve to not attend next year’s Lambeth conference unless the Archbishop of Canterbury reconsiders his Lambeth invitations and allows for discipline in the Communion and true reconciliation.

Anderson said the statement “is the best news and the clearest word we have received in a very long while.”

The Global South Steering Committee reiterated the Primates’ request for TEC to immediately suspend litigation against “congregations and individuals which wish to remain Anglican but are unable to do so within TEC”.

It also alluded to a future where orthodox Anglican churches in the US have their own ecclesiastical structure separate from the Episcopal Church.

“This is more than a message of hope for weary Christians; this is a call to action from the Global South Primates. Our plan at the AAC is to act alongside the Global South and fellow orthodox Anglican Christians,” Anderson said. Copyright © 2007 Christian Today. All rights reserved.
