First Huckabee, then McCain, who was on record in 1999 as stating that he did not want to overturn Roe v. Wade. McCain also has a long record of opposing many of the things on Hagee’s political and religious agendas. This just proves that the guy who denies the Messiahship of Jesus Christ, claims that Jesus Christ was killed by Rome for His political beliefs, prophesied that the United States would attack Iran in 2007 (and is still demanding that we attack Iran!) and preaches dual covenant theology is simply in it for the power and money.

Michael Eisner interviewing Pat Robertson. Although this happened some
time ago, there was something that took place during this particular
interview, that I have not found much outcry against and I felt it
should be noted here. Because it is a totally misleading use of
scripture and Pat Robertson once again showed he’s following AND
TEACHING a false gospel, to say what he said to Michael Eisner.
What concerns me occurred at the tail end of the interview. You can watch video of the interview via this link and once the interview video starts (after an advertisement), you can advance to 4:22 to see where things start regarding what I’m speaking of here.
Below is a quote from the official transcript.
This may be a silly question. I’ve almost been married as long as you have. About 40 years. How long have you been married?
All right. So I’m not– I’m not in your league. I’m not in your league.
So my wife is Christian.
So I appreciate the fact that she’s Christian. She can go to heaven. I’m Jewish.
So from what I understand, we only can be together in– on this Earth. ‘Cause I can’t go to heaven, according to the 700 Club.
No, not according to the 700 Club. I don’t know who it’s according to.
All right. So– well, I thought Jews couldn’t go to heaven.
All right. Here’s the deal. And with this– the Apostle Paul said that
all Israel will be saved. There’s going to come a time when all Jews
are gonna come to heaven. They’re all gonna meet the– the Lord. And–
and it’s– it’s in the Old Testament. Zachariah says they’ll look upon
him who they have pierced, and they’re going to mourn and so forth. But
there’s gonna come a time of extraordinary persecution. There already
has come. But it’s gonna be some serious stuff. And– it’s told by the
Old Testament prophets the answer that we believe as evangelicals is
that God has a special role for the Jewish people. And you look at– you
look at the 22nd Psalm. He talks about his bones pulled out of joint,
you know? And he talks about people surrounding. And he looks down, and
it describes the crucifixion. It’s all in there. It’s in the Old
Testament– describing what happened. And– I’m just one of the goy that
came along late. (LAUGHTER) I– I’m– I’m converting to the– to the faith
of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
So you’re converting to Judaism.
Well, I’m not converting to Judaism. (OVERTALK)
See, I thought I’d– this would be– this would be a big announcement here.
I could get a big rating.
I’m converting– (OVERTALK)
Pat Robertson converts to Judaism. (OVERTALK)
–faith of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And– but the time is coming very
soon when there’s going to be a revelation of the Lord to everybody.
And all Israel, all Israel is gonna get saved.
You’ve always been known to be very pro-Israel.
Totally pro-Israel. I mean, I– I’ve got the Star of David printed on my underwear. I mean, it’s that kind of thing.
Thought you had Mickey Mouse on your underwear.
(LAUGHTER) (UNINTEL) said you’re more Israeli than (UNINTEL). But in–
in any event– I firmly believe that according to the Bible, the– the
fullness of the Gentiles will come in. And then all Israel will be
saved. That’s what the Apostle Paul wrote.
Wow. (LAUGHTER) Thank you very much– (OVERTALK)
Got a lot to think about now.
(LAUGHTER) I want you to be with your wife.
Yeah. I’m gonna be with her, one way or the other.
What Pat Robertson basically said was (paraphrasing), All you Jews are going to Heaven, because Paul said ALL ISRAEL will be saved.
In the context Pat Robertson spoke, he spoke a lie. We could say Hebrew scripture notes all Israel one day went into the promised land, HOWEVER we should not forget that many did not get beyond the wilderness.
|Numbers 14:22-32 (New American Standard Bible)
Take note of the statement “nor shall any of those who spurned Me see it”.
The Messiah of Hebrew scripture has come and His name is Jesus, Yeshua.
Yeshua, Jesus is the Christ. Since his coming, He warned Israel for
their unbelief in Him.
|Luke 19:41-44 (New American Standard Bible)
And it did happen.
Jesus provided the means for salvation through belief on Him. Jesus even explained this himself in John 3.
Through His sacrificial death, burial and resurrection, He provides
salvation to all who believe on Him, turning from darkness, both Jew
and Gentile alike.
One who rejects Jesus does not have the Father, they do not have God. They are not saved.
|1 John 2:22-23 (New American Standard Bible)
Therefore, it is impossible to tell anyone, even a Jew (a person of Hebrew blood) that they can be saved via any means except they believe on Jesus Christ. If they deny Him, they are not saved, period.
So what of all Israel being saved as Paul said? It is just like it
was for the Jews of the past. Those who deny the truth God has given to
man through His Son will perish, but a final remnant of Israel will
believe on Him and be saved. This does not mean Michael Eisner will be
part of that group. So to tell Michael Eisner “all Israel”, as if it
applies to him and all Jews is an untruth. Romans 11
is best read in full, given it details things fully. Through Hebrew
disobedience a means of salvation was made for Gentiles that believe on
Christ, but no Jew who rejects Christ will be saved. All Jews reading
this post should read the book of Hebrews from its first chapter to its last (chapter 13). When the fullness of Gentiles has come in (all Gentiles who are the Lord’s believe on Him),
that final remaining remnant of Hebrew blood will be at a point in
biblical prophesy, where they will all accept Jesus as Lord and He will
save them and all still in flesh at that time who believe on Him. All
who die today believing on Christ are saved too, but not anyone who
fails to. This does not mean Michael Eisner is saved by virtue of his
heritage, no more than anyone else that fails to believe on Jesus.
I feel it is a heinous crime against the Lord God, that so-called Christians are lying to people of Hebrew descent.

Italian Doctors: Abortion Survivors must be given Care, Even Against Mother’s Wishes
by Matthew Cullinan Hoffman : Feb 7, 2008 : LifeSiteNews
http://www.lifesite.net/ldn/2008/feb/08020601.htmlThe declaration “has fallen like a bomb among scientists and politicans.”
18 week Preborn Baby(Rome)—Doctors from four different Roman universities have issued a joint declaration affirming the duty of doctors to rescue and care for infants born alive after an abortion attempt, even against the wishes of the mother. (Photo: Lifesite.net)
The declaration, made by doctors at the obstetric clinics of La Sapienza, Tor Vergata, Campus Biomedico and Sacro Cuore, represent both the secular and religious sides of the Italian university system. The first two universities are public, and the second two are Catholic.
“An extremely premature newborn must be treated like any other person in danger, and assisted adequately,” said Domenico Arduni, director of the Tor Vergata gynecological clinic.
Arduini added that this principle would hold even if the child had survived an abortion, and “even if the mother is not in agreement.”
The four physicians issued the statement together during a meeting at Fatebenefratelli hospital in Rome last Saturday. According to the Spanish publication El Pais, the doctors’ declaration and the Vatican’s recent campaign for a “moratorium” on abortion in Italy (which has now become a global campaign), “has fallen like a bomb among scientists and politicians.”
Emma Bonino, the Italian Minister of European Policy, complained to El Pais that “the political class should not allow others to set their agenda.” The Italian health minister, Livia Turco, told the publication that protecting the life of such children was “senseless cruelty.” A prominent physician reportedly suggested that abortions be done by poisoning the baby with potassium chloride, thus ensuring his death before exiting the womb.
However, the ANSA news agency reports that the liberal bioethicist Cinzia Caporale has endorsed the physicians’ declaration, stating that while she is in favor of allowing euthanasia for adults who want it, children who leave the womb alive should be cared for, even against the will of the parents. “I don’t even consider their consent necessary if the fetus has survived an abortion,” she said.

I first saw this here but it was confirmed in this devotional as well. Man oh man, I love this election season. So many prominent Christian leaders in the limelight are being exposed for what they are. From the people backing Huckabee despite knowing his connections to the Council on Foreign Relations and to apostates like Kenneth Copeland and John Hagee to Pat Robertson backing Giuliani to the MANY evangelicals and even some fundamentalists backing Mormon Mitt Romney to Donnie McClurkin and many other leading black Christians backing Barack HUSSEIN Obama (here, here, here, here, here, here) well the Lord is exposing for the whole world to see what these prominent Christians are really about and after – the things of this world.Christians, is this the falling away of the American church? If so, make sure that you are not part of that falling away. In a sense, things have been this bad for quite awhile, because the fact that Martin Luther King, Jr. was no better than a Mormon because he did not believe in the deity or resurrection of Jesus Christ despite it being commonly reported … so many people do not know because they do not care to know. And never forget: King’s rise was due to so many alleged Christians, many of them evangelicals and fundamentalists, supporting segregation and racism! Still, I regularly ask some older (than me) Christians have things always been this bad, and even the ones that personally experienced segregation and poverty say without hesitation “No, it wasn’t.”

“The word of the LORD came to me: “Son of man, prophesy against the
shepherds of Israel; prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign
LORD says: Woe to the shepherds of Israel who only take care of themselves!
Should not shepherds take care of the flock? You eat the curds, clothe
yourselves with the wool and slaughter the choice animals, but you do not
take care of the flock. You have not strengthened the weak or healed the
sick or bound up the injured. You have not brought back the strays or
searched for the lost. You have ruled them harshly and brutally. So they
were scattered because there was no shepherd, and when they were scattered
they became food for all the wild animals. My sheep wandered over all the
mountains and on every high hill. They were scattered over the whole earth,
and no one searched or looked for them.” Ezekiel 34:1-6
A sad commentary on so many pastors and Christian leaders right from God’s
Word. Last week I was doing some study in the Book of Ezekiel. In reading
through some passages, I came across these first 6 verses in Ezekiel 34. As
I read these words, I could only think that this was the sad description of
so many pastors and Christian leaders today. 50 years ago, you could sit in
the pew of most any church of any denomination and hear the Truth of God’s
Word. Those pastors and the men and women God raised up on the national
scene were men and women who would never compromise the Truth of the Bible
and understood their only mission was to bring the lost to Christ.
Fast forward to the year 2008 and you have entire denominations of pastors
who don’t even preach, teach or believe the Bible. It is questionable if
many pastors were ever “called” and are even saved. Those who have risen up
into national prominence are more worried about selling books, having the
newest private jet, building bigger buildings, and living like the rulers of
small nations rather than preaching the unadulterated Truth of the Bible and
leading the lost to faith in Jesus Christ. My goodness, you now have
so-called Christian leaders who are endorsing and working for the member of
a satanic cult to become our next President!!!
When these are the men and women leading the people, why are we surprised
that many who sit in the pews of the nations churches on Sunday aren’t even
saved, don’t accept the Bible as Absolute Truth and our only authority, and
the majority of the ones who do lead weak and ineffective lives. That is
why I encourage people all the time to seek out a pastor who is a true
shepherd. That is increasingly difficult today, but there are still many
men of God who have not bowed their knee to Baal and are not the shepherds
described in Ezekiel 34. Sunday is the day most Christians go to church. It
is the only time most of you ever see your pastor, and that is usually from
your seat in the sanctuary as he leads the worship service and preaches the
Having preached in over 500 churches of every denomination nationwide, I can
honestly tell you that for most pastors, Sunday morning is their favorite
day of the week and the one day they usually feel their work for God really
has some meaning. You can never know the pressure most pastors are under. If
it was only getting up on Sunday morning and being the “man of God” it would
be wonderful, but that is not reality. It is a 7-day a week, 24-hour a day
calling. Many have outside jobs. There is the constant pressures of raising
the budget, dealing with the interpersonal problems that always exist when
you have a group of people, overseeing the political infighting that often
occurs, on top of the spiritual requirements of shepherding the flock,
having an anointed word each week for the various services, and other
requirements the office of pastor carries with it.
My prayer for you today is to support your pastor. Pray for your pastor each
day. John 10 gives us the picture of the ideal pastor. Pray that your pastor
will be able to tear away from the distractions of this world to be the
shepherd described in John 10. God has placed that pastor in your life to
guide you, spiritually nurture you, and have spiritual leadership over your
life. Do all you can to show your love and appreciation for all your pastor
does for you, most of which you may not even recognize. Also, God has placed
your pastor in your life for spiritual leadership. When you come into times
of crisis, don’t hesitate to go to your pastor. That is ultimately why they
are there, to help you and guide you through those difficult times in your
I love you and care about you so much. I pray for you daily. Sadly, today
there are too many pastors and Christian leaders who fall into the
description found in Ezekiel 34. It makes the work that much more difficult
when you have people running around calling themselves Christians, but
supporting sins like abortion, homosexuality, the destruction of God’s plan
fo the family. You have others who think there is nothing wrong with
belonging to a cult or false religions and they have bought the
universalistic lie from hell that everyone will get to Heaven.
Let this message today be a remember to lift up your pastor in prayer and
recognize him for all he does for your life. God has called His sheep to be
obedient and obey those in spiritual authority. Take inventory and see if
you are fulfilling this admonition, and ask God to help you. He loves you so
much, that he has placed your pastor in your life to shepherd you and guide
you in your spiritual journey. Show your love for Him today by praying for
and supporting your pastor.

Christian Zionist Elwood McQuaid Lies On Christian Left By Claiming That They Are Replacement Theologists!
Posted by Job on January 15, 2008
Now of course, I have no regard for the Christian left. But claiming that their advocacy of the Palestinians is motivated by replacement theology is a lie, and this fellow knows it. If you believe in replacement theology, then you believe that the Bible is inerrant (or infallible) and authoritative, and therefore the commandments of the Bible, including God’s covenant with Jews and Christians, should be a determinative influence in contemporary secular politics. What member of the Christian left believes this? Do you honestly expect us to believe that the same people that are baptizing murdered fetuses at abortion clinics and marrying and ordaining homosexuals have anything resembling the sort of mindset that would support replacement theology? McQuaid knows that this is not so, and he is willing to lie to frightened Jews as a way to get their political support. McQuaid knows that Jews have been raised to believe that replacement theology is the source of all evil that has befallen the Jews, from Muslims turning against them (or so they say) to the Holocaust. McQuaid is exploiting this in order to gain the political support of Jews, which is key to evangelicals gaining more political power in America. This proves that so – called Christian Zionists are not the true friends of the Jews, but are exploiting them for their own purposes. So now, we see that these people are so depraved that they are trying to convince Jews that the same people that cast aside what the Bible says about adultery, fornication, murder, homosexuality, women pastors, etc. when running their own churches are willing to impose a Biblical view on determining who gets political control of Israel. Also, the increasingly confrontational mindset of evangelicals is disturbing. We see in this Christianity Today link, for instance, where they are convinced that fundamentalist Christianity is the greatest evil in the world (actually preferring evil sinners to born – again Bible believing Christians it seems), in this link in Frances Beckwith their increasing opposition to Christians that believe that the Reformation happened for a reason and are unwilling to accept Roman Catholicism today (and Mormonism tomorrow) as just another Christian denomination, and in this very story they are telling Jews that the religious left is seeking their genocide. Whatever side you have taken in the Middle East peace process, do not join yourself to the Christian Zionists! See article below.
An interesting contest seems to be heating up as the world paves a road to a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The American religious Left has felt compelled to issue a series of documents slanted toward the Arab and Palestinian points of view, urging the powers that be to muscle Israel to accede to demands that will place Israelis in a virtually untenable position regarding their future security.
Signatories to these documents propose that they speak for the majority of evangelical Christians (as do you you!) and, therefore, are in a position to pontificate on the direction the United States and other Western powers should take in (1) determining the future shape of the new Middle East and (2) correcting what they claim are the egregious malefactions of the Israeli government and its friends in the Zionist evangelical camp (apparently friends lie on each other).
Their criticisms are based on the concept that Israel’s day is over, both biblically and historically. Consequently, Israelis have no more right to the land than their Muslim/Arab antagonists. Theologically, this position is popularly known as Replacement Theology, which claims that God’s promises to the heirs of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob were conditional and therefore abrogated by Israel’s disobedience. So the church stepped in as the true “Israel of God” and possesses the spiritualized, redefined covenants of promise. (In addition to being a liar, this fellow is an apostate heretic, denying Jesus Christ before men that the old covenant is passed away – see the Book of Hebrews – and the new covenant is not of dead works but of spirit and is based on better promises – see Hebrews, Galatians, and Romans.)
From this lofty, self-ascribed position, modern Israel is seen as a squatter on property it seized from militarily inferior Palestinians who should receive it back, so much so that Israel has been called an apartheid state equal to South Africa, which practiced legal racial segregation and suppressed human rights from 1948 to 1994. (First off, few members of the Christian left do as “pastor” McQuaid is doing, which is to lie on history. The overwhelming majority of the Christian left wants the same two – state solution that has been advocated by the international community ever since 1948. Also, great job of lying on the South Africa analogy, pastor. Totally ignore the fact that Israel was apartheid South Africa’s biggest supporter, continuing to support them even after international sanctions were imposed. When apartheid fell, the #1 fear by the Israeli government was that new South African government would turn anti – Israel and take the rest of black Africa with them.)
ZIONIST Christians (those of us who believe the land promises to the Jewish people are irrevocable-biblically, historically, morally, and legally) are written off as an illegitimate theological mutation, unworthy of serious consideration. Furthermore, we are accused of being anti-Palestinian political meddlers who say, “Israel right or wrong.” This point of view elicits a number of responses that are perfectly in order considering the seriousness of the accusations.
First and foremost, on the matter of believing God’s biblical promises regarding Jewish rights to a homeland in Eretz Yisrael, we are guilty as charged. The birth of the church as God’s grace gift to the Gentiles did not contain a deed to property in the Middle East. Nor does it give Christian leaders, as some have wrongly concluded, a mandate to dictate what land is actually His land.
Second, the accusation that we are anti-Palestinian is totally without foundation. The Palestinians are caught in the middle of a conflict created and maintained by the manipulative mismanagement of their leaders who act in their own behalf, disregarding the needs of their people. The most unfortunate are Palestinian Christians. Witness the exodus of Christian Arabs to the West and Europe in recent years. Some have gone so far as to blame this evacuation on Israel and economic oppression and despair caused by the continual “occupation.”
Hardly mentioned is the fact that the Christian exodus from the Middle East is a response to the Islamic drive to exterminate Christians and Jews from the region.
Criticism of Israel’s 8,000 settlers in Gaza was a popular theme for many years. If the Jewish infiltrators were eliminated from the Gaza, the mantra went, Palestinians could elevate their social and economic status, which would change their lives and lifestyles. So the Jews left, at great cost. The result? Gaza became a staging area for terrorists; Hamas rules the street; and Christian Arabs are hunted, assassinated, and forced to find safe haven somewhere other than Gaza.
With regard to the charge of meddling in politics, let it be said that Christian Zionism is not primarily a political action movement. It is not the legitimate province of outsiders, however benevolently motivated, to dictate the political policy of a foreign government. The Israeli people are perfectly capable of determining the course their nation should pursue. That said, there is a point where politics and biblical, prophetic realities converge. This is not a matter of dictation but observation; and there is no doubt that current events, when compared with scriptural predictions, help us discern where we are and where history is heading.
For Israelis and the Jewish state, the issue is survival within secure, recognized borders. And for Palestinians, Christians, and others, it is the right to pursue productive and tranquil lives without fear of radical Islamist discrimination.
The writer, a pastor, is a veteran leader of the Christian Zionist movement in the US.

See this link! “This guy is a kingdom guy,” said the Rev. Steve Munsey, gesturing toward Yechiel Eckstein.” Meaning kingdom of heaven of course, and Eckstein is an Orthodox rabbi, not a Messianic rabbi. Which Jesus Christ is the only way into! So add Steve Munsey to the John Hagee school of dispensational prosperity teaching liars who want to fill you full of their demons and take you to the lake of fire for eternity.
This snippet reveals why falsely teaching old covenant concepts out of context is essential to these thieves: “The door opened, and Bishop Frank Munsey walked in. He is Pastor Munsey’s father. Bishop Munsey founded the Christian Family Center 50 years ago and then passed it along to his son. Someday Pastor Munsey will turn it over to his own son, Kent, who is now the center’s youth pastor. ”We call it the Levitical order of succession,” David Jordan Allen, the associate pastor, told me.” Where in the New Testament does it say that church offices are functions of heredity? No, it says that church offices are functions of being filled with the Holy Spirit and being known for high personal character, not being drunkards or sexually immoral, having your house under subjection, AND NOT BEING A CHASER OF FILTHY LUCRE.

Up until very recently I sincerely felt that Christians could speed the return of Jesus Christ by doing works, such as spreading the gospel. But now I find out by reading “Messiah In The Old Testament” by the (rather liberal but still orthodox) Walter Kaiser out that the Pharisees had that same error. They were correct in presuming that their failure to keep the law resulted in their nation being sent into captivity and subjected to brutal subjugation. They were correct that the prophets who foretold their current fate also spoke of a coming Messiah. So then, what was their error? A perfectly understandable mistake: that if disobeying the law caused them to lose their nation, monarchy, and sovereignty, then keeping the law would cause these things to be restored by the Messiah that their prophets spoke of. Of course, the natural progression was that the Jews could speed the return of the Messiah by being VERY ZEALOUS, but that being “less than zealous” would hinder his coming. That is why their actions against Jesus Christ, who like John Hagee His being Messiah they rejected, were very understandable … they thought that His using His influence with the people to disobey their interpretation of the law was hindering the restoration of Israel and the Messianic age.
This belief did not die, incidentally. The reason why Jews went from tolerating Jesus Christ’s Jewish followers as a sect within Judaism (if an errant bothersome one … though they far from the only ones considered errant and bothersome) to expelling them from their synagogues as apostates and heretics was because they were ultimately scapegoated for the destruction of the temple in 70 AD and Jerusalem in 117 AD. Why? Because they were following the Man who taught them to disobey the law, causing God to punish us as He did in 586 BC. (Of course, this is not said directly, instead they say that the reason why the second temple was destroyed was “the lack of unity.”) And though this is similarly rarely spoken of, some Jewish leaders blamed the Holocaust on a number of Jews going after secularism and liberalism (Conservative and Reform Judaism) and a general failure to keep the Sabbath. And to this day, the goal of rabbinic Judaism is to cause God to grant the Jewish nation their Messiah.
Is it an oversimplification to say that the Pharisees were too preoccupied and self – assured in their doctrines that they could bring cause the Messiah to come through works that they did not recognize the Messiah when He came to them not by their works to do their Will but by God’s grace to do God’s Will? For it must be said: the Word of God says that if a man labors, he must reap the benefits thereof. If even the ox that treads the corn should not be muzzled, how much more so should a man that labors be? So the inevitable conclusion is that with anything that man produces with works, man can take some credit for it. Man can take some ownership of it. Man can have some control over it. As such, the Messiah produced by works would have been THEIR Messiah to do THEIR Will, even if only least in part. So when Jesus Christ came to do not their Will in any sense but God’s, and was so not owned by or beholden to man that He did no so much as have a human father, they rejected Him because He was not the creation of their own hands. Nay, He was not the creation of ANY, but rather the uncreated God, the Word of the Trinity.
That is why our own salvation cannot be the result of works. If we labored in any least sense, in any jot or tittle, then that would give us that much ownership rights and control over our souls. That would deprive God not only of His due glory, but His ownership rights as our sole creator and sole managers of our destiny. And since works produce works, it would give preachers and evangelists ownership rights over those converted by their efforts! Now imagine the effect of this … the great masses of the redeemed dwelling with God in heaven, not only with each having a claim on himself and many having claims on others, but the combined net worth effect of their collective claims! For eternity! (Believe in interest perhaps?) So I say “God forbid!” Such a thing cannot not be and will not be. What say you?
And that brings us to the Imminent return of our Lord and Savior Y’shua HaMashiach, better known as Jesus Christ. If it were possible to facilitate or speed His return by the gospel or any other works, we would have a claim on His Return and Him with it! Since all things were created by the Word (John 1:3) through Him we would have a claim on the entire creation. And since He is one with the Holy Spirit, we would through Him have a claim on the Holy Spirit. And since He is one with the Father, we would through Him have a claim on the Father. And because sinful man would have a valid legal claim on the Father, the Father would no longer be holy and no longer sovereign. The result? He would be a false god, no god at all! God forbid that such a thing should happen. So now, Christian, do you see the error of works based theology?
Yet works based theology is alive and well in Christendom, and it is not limited to the Roman Catholic Church. It is alive and well in the Protestant movement too. Let me give you three ways.
1. Tithing. The practice was for the Old Testament only and for a specific purpose: to support the priests who stood before God’s presence as man’s mediator. The Book of Hebrews tells us that Jesus Christ is our priest forever after the order of Melchisedec. From that, if you continue to tithe to your pastor or church, two things can reasonably be inferred. A. It is your pastor and your church and not Jesus Christ that is the mediator between you and the Father. Please realize that such is the position of the Roman Catholic Church. I cannot help but – after a somewhat whimsical fashion – wonder if Matthew 23:9 “And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven” is a prophetic polemic against the Roman Catholic practice to come. B. That Jesus Christ either never came, never died, or never resurrected. Those who continue this practice in ignorance of the truth do so in ignorance of the truth. But to those that have come into the knowledge of the truth, new covenant giving is to be directed by 2 Corinthians 9:7 which reads: “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”
2. The prosperity/Word of Faith movement, where we are taught that we receive things from God not according to grace, but by works. The prosperity doctrine the works are actually somewhat indirect through obedience (to quote Jesse DuPlantis, “the prosperity doctrine is an obedience doctrine”) and compulsory giving (John Hagee teaches that those who do not tithe will have their wages cursed by God, and that you will receive a greater blessing for giving to Jews and Israel than elsewhere). But the Word of Faith movement is more direct in telling people that you can bit a bridle and harness in the mouth of God, hop upon His back, and drive and command Him to use His Power to control nature and history as you see fit! It was from Albert Pendarvis of http://www.radiomissions.org – who ironically is located a few miles away from Jesse DuPlantis – whom I first heard warn Christians against those preachers that were “commanding God, not respecting Him, and misusing His Name” in the charismatic movement, especially the faith healers. Of course I was a full gospel Kenneth Hagin Word of Faith/prosperity adherent at the time so I rejected him at the time, but now I must acknowledge the truth in his preaching in this matter. These doctrines deny grace and try to co – opt, manipulate, and control God.
3. Christian Zionism. If you are a dispensational pre – tribulation rapture doctrine adherent, I shall not speak against you for believing in that doctrine. What I do speak against is how so many pastors who hold this view teach that we can speed or facilitate the return of Jesus Christ based on it! For instance, some Christians are helping finance the return of Jews to Israel. But the Bible says that it is the Messiah’s job to do this in Jeremiah 23:3-6. Some Christians are helping Jews breed red heifers so that the Jews can restart their sacrifices in the temple. Why are we facilitating that which we no there is no profit but instead is a snare, an act of rebellion against everything that Hebrews says? Are we helping the Muslims practice their religion? Why not? Are they not the children of Abraham too? Are we aiding the Hindus, Mormons, and Scientologists in their abominations? Did Jesus Christ come in the flesh, die on the cross for our sins, and rise again on the third day or not? Did He do such a thing for the Jew first and then the Gentile or did He not? Are we ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ in the Jews’ presence? For the Jews’ sake? Well what John Hagee is now preaching is merely the fruition, the logical conclusion of that mindset!
And speaking of John Hagee, it is not enough to speak of his dual covenant theology, though it is bad. Hagee, Robertson, and their fellow travelers use “defending Israel” as an license to justify whatever level of atrocity and militarization of the Middle East they desire. With Hagee, his running a “Christian AIPAC” gives a third tier televangelist from San Antonio great wealth and power. And as for Robertson, who does own oil interests, how much is his personal wealth increased by oil being over $100 a barrel? And how much higher will the price of oil go if our government assassinates Hugo Chavez as Pat Robertson suggested? How much higher will it go if we invade Iran as Hagee demands? Now Hagee prophesied (back when I was a fan of his show) that we would be at war with Iran by now and that Jesus Christ would come back a few months later. Put all the details in his best – selling books. A false prophet that no one has held accountable? Of course!
But consider what would happen if Hagee was RIGHT. That would mean that it would be possible for even crooks, liars, thieves, and false prophets to have a claim on God if works doctrines be true. Though they are false preachers, the gospel is preached through these fellows, and people are saved by it. But you can see the effects of people perceiving works doctrines to be true? These pastors have tens, possibly hundreds, of millions of people at their command, onward Christian soldiers marching to war! Blood, violence, disease, starvation, death, and poverty for the many. All for the profit of a few. Is that the gospel of Jesus Christ? Maybe a false Jesus Christ that you can own through works, but not the true Jesus Christ obtained only by grace. We are to show love to God’s people and His holy city, certainly, but the way that the Bible tells us to. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Support the legitimate needs of Jews out of love and obedience to God, not expecting blessings in return or in support of a political agenda. And to also give aid to the Palestinians so as to not show partiality.
So in the final analysis we must come to the conclusion that man can do nothing to speed the return of Jesus Christ. No one knows the day or the hour. Jesus Christ is returning when the Father sees fit. The sovereign God will determine when Christ will return. God is not hindered by man, He is not frustrated by man, He is not dependent upon man. God is sovereign. 2 Peter 3:9 declares that it is by the grace of God and not the works of man that has hindered the coming of Jesus Christ to this day, and it will be by that same grace that Jesus Christ comes to rescue the church from this life and punish all else for its uncleanness. Yes, it is said that Christ will not return until the gospel is preached throughout the world, and that does mean that evangelism and missionary work should be done in Jerusalem, in Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth from the least to the greatest, the youngest to the oldest. But even that will not be our doing lest any man should boast, but rather God’s doing. I am going to co – opt the words that so offended the renowned missionary William Carey and say that when it pleases God to evangelize the world He will do it without your help or mine. He will do it without the ecumenical movements. He will do it without the TBN satellites that Paul Crouch asserted in one of his mass mailings was the angel flying around the world proclaiming the gospel in Revelation 14:6.
The sovereign God will do this by His grace! And when history comes to a close, all creation will see that God does not need us. Instead, it is we that need Him. The only question is whether people realize this in due time or in past time. Those who do so in due time will receive eternal life as a reward. Those who fail? Eternal wrath and destruction. Will you do so know? Will you bow before the Great King of creation, acknowledge that you need Him, and submit yourself to Him? I urge you to do so now, for tomorrow is not promised. There are many people that were here yesterday that presumed that they would be here today that are not. Are you better than they are? If so, how? I say this not to frighten or manipulate you but rather because I am concerned about you, and also because it is undeniably true. If you have not acknowledged the sovereignty of God, please do so. Follow The Three Step Salvation Plan right now.

I give much credit to Soli Deo Gloria, who was willing to endure the incredible agony of actually reading the new John Hagee book for the benefit of the rest of us. It turns out that the book is not as bad as previously thought: it is worse! Please read his post to find out how.
Some excerpts: Soli Deo Gloria gives a link containing a more comprehensive analysis of the book at Bible Wheel.
Further, Soli Deo Gloria says “No where in this 207 page book did I see where Christ was lifted up; instead John Hagee lifts up in all 12 chapters a people and a land. Along with this idol worship, he points out time after time, in chapter after chapter, that we better wake up and realize the debt we owe, not to Christ, but to the Jewish people–he even has one chapter devoted entirely to this, chapter 8: “Our Debt to the Jewish People“. This is a man ate up with zeal, not of/for God, but for a cause.”
Please recall: Hagee’s thesis is to “acquit” the Jewish people in two areas.
1) The notion that Jews living today are actually guilty of killing Jesus Christ. I agree with Hagee on this point. That is the problem. Virtually no fundamentalist or evangelical Christians hold those beliefs because they contradict scripture. Hagee’s preaching as if this is still a problem among Bible – adhering Christians helps further the lie that Christians who take the Bible seriously are inherently anti – Semitic along with their resulting beliefs.
2) Even worse, Hagee is trying to “acquit” the Jewish people of what the Bible actually does convict them of – rejecting Jesus Christ. Of course, the only way to do this is to claim that the Bible is wrong, the way that the Bible has been traditionally interpreted is wrong, and that being faithful to the Bible and its historic interpretations is anti – Semitism, which goes back to 1).
Realize that you can ask any non – Messianic Jew if he rejects the notion that Jesus Christ was the Messiah and he will answer affirmatively. Still, please know that most rank and file Jews could care less what Christians choose to believe, and what is more many of them see our reading their scriptures and praying to their God as a good thing. Rather, while all Jews (and by this I mean non – Messianic) believe that Jews were right to reject Jesus Christ then and have been correct in doing so since, it is only the religious, political, and intellectual leaders of their community that promote the notion that Christians should adopt their position by – among other means – reinterpreting the Bible (and where it cannot be reinterpreted then simply ignored as the likely product of self – hating apostate Jews and/or church revisionism and editing).
I repeat, most Jews, to the extent that they are even mindful of Christians, do not feel this way; most Jews are not trying to get us to abandon our beliefs. Many of them do wish that Christians would take the Old Testament more seriously and become better educated as to the Jewish roots of Christianity, which is my position as well. But alas, it is not the rank and file Jews that Hagee has chosen to seek out and affiliate himself with, but rather those that have the status and power that he wants for himself. Please recall that the very same Jesus Christ that Hagee is now denying did precisely the opposite in seeking out the low, meek, and humble.
That is the point of Hagee’s continual invoking of Martin Luther as an example of Christian anti – Semitism that led to the Holocaust. It is true that Luther wrote some exceptionally awful things about Jews that are unjustifiable in any context. But Hagee always leaves out a key contextualizing fact: when Luther split from the then institutionally and virulently anti – Semitic Roman Catholic Church, he was certain that he would convert large numbers of Jews, thinking that the main hindrance had been the hatefulness of the former. Luther had grand visions of Jew and Gentile joining together again to recreate the New Testament church, and when they rejected his entreaties he was baffled, crushed, and reacted as any MAN (as Luther WAS just a MAN) that had been raised his entire life in grotesque anti – Semitism could be expected to.
Hagee of course knows this. (Hagee also knows that the Jewish holy books, the Talmud and similar, contain things said about Gentiles – including Christians – that are also not particularly nice.) So why does he demand that the Bible and extrabiblical history be interpreted in a manner that justifies the Jewish rejection of Jesus Christ while refusing to provide a similar context for Luther’s anti – Semitic rantings? I am not defending the wrong of Luther. Instead, I say that both Luther’s anti – Semitism and the Jewish rejection of Jesus Christ were wrong. Hagee, on the other hand, uses the Luther wrong to justify the Jewish wrong then and now, which has the effect of making the witness of the Bible and the people who wrote it concerning the deity of Jesus Christ and accepting such being the only way to heaven wrong according to Hagee’s doctrine.
I wonder what effect – if any – this book has on the “Christians United For Israel” movement. I am thinking that the increasing pressure by the Bush administration to force Israel to create a Palestinian state (and the administration that will follow his that will exert more pressure still) may just force a lot of Christians to put aside whatever doctrinal issues that they have with John Hagee and continue to work with him, and in the process endorse and ultimately internalize more and more of his doctrine. Which, of course, is precisely what Hagee is counting on.

Clay Land: Asking Christians To Vote For Giuliani Akin To Asking Blacks To Vote For Strom Thurmond Or George Wallace!
Posted by Job on October 23, 2007
Unlike the other religious right leaders that are obviously being bought off by the Mormon Mitt Romney (and George W. Bush!) money machine, Clay Land comes off sounding quite well in this article. Not as hard line evangelical as Bill Keller (let alone fundamentalist like myself or Chuck Baldwin), but quite good in this Newsweek article:newsweek.com/id/57631!
Here are some of the best parts. “The one thing we will never allow to happen is for the Republican Party to take us for granted the way the Democratic Party too often takes the African-American community for granted … I’m not willing or able to violate my moral conscience … I am not going to criticize those who choose the lesser-of-two-evils option … but I personally can’t do it.
On Mitt Romney using the race to try to proselytize Christians using distortions, falsehoods, and outright lies: “For starters he needs to quit trying to convince evangelicals that Mormonism is an orthodox, with a small o, Trinitarian, with a capital T, Apostolic, with a capital A, faith. He is not going to win that argument [and] he doesn’t need to try. That’s not the issue. Kennedy didn’t try to defend Catholicism. He defended the right of a Catholic to run for president. What I think Romney has to do is he has to give a speech in which he defends the right of a Mormon to run for president and appeals to Americans’ basic sense of fair play … he has not given that speech. I’ve seen him go to South Carolina and say things like, you know, “Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior.” Well, you know what? That ain’t going to work in South Carolina. The most generous description [evangelicals] will give [Mormonism] is the one that I give it, which is that it is the fourth Abrahamic like hateful Anne Coulter., you know, Judaism being the first, being the second, and Islam being the third. And Joseph Smith plays the Mohammed figure in a fourth Abrahamic faith, but it is not a Trinitarian Christian faith. Evangelicals know this because the two most evangelistic groups in America are evangelicals and Mormons, and so evangelical pastors have taught their people what Mormonism believes because they want to inoculate them against [missionaries]. They know. I mean, they have had Sunday school classes, and they have had sermons preached on the beliefs of Mormonism. Trust me, that is not an argument he is going to win, and it is not an argument he has to win.” For me, this is perfect, 100% perfect. It is great to hear from a Christian that does not worship at the church of religious right dual covenant theology heresy
Some more: “I don’t know. I do see Giuliani as sort of an East Coast version of [California Gov. Arnold] Schwarzenegger.” This is why that was a devastating comparison for Giuliani: Still Support Arnold Schwarzenegger Christians?
Now here the Newsweek reporter presses Land in a way that he would NEVER do a liberal political leader as to his abject refusal to even consider Giuliani, and Land handles it perfectly. “When Rudy says “I will appoint strict constructionist judges,” you are not hearing that?” (What is this guy, a Giuliani campaign operative or something? Nope. In truth, he will never vote for Giuliani or any Republican. He is just incensed that this fellow is applying an abortion litmus test, despite the fact that he has the same test … the other way of course!) Land’s reply? “I hear it. I hear it.” (This is excellent on the part of Land, for it is very easy for a “strict constructionist” judge to agree with abortion rights or to simply respect a precedent that has stood a variety of challenges for going on 35 years … Land will never admit this publicly but everyone knows that it is true, and that these “code words” for opposing the murder of innocent babies is waving a rhetorical white flag … still at least Land is the first religious right leader to admit that the words “strict constructionist” mean absolutely nothing unless it comes from someone with a strong pro – life record.) Reporter again: “Well, you don’t hear Hillary saying that.” Land’s absolutely brilliant reply: “Could you vote for a Klansman?” (It would have been PERFECT had he said “would you vote for a Nazi” especially since he already dragged rabbinic Judaism into this by comparing them to Mormons, but ah well, I do not have his position or responsibility for a reason.)
Then Land closes it out when the reporter answers “No” and Land says “You’ve answered my question. I cannot vote for someone who believes that it’s all right to stop a beating heart.” (Of course that leaves Land opens to questions concerning the death penalty and the Iraq War …)
And even after all that, the reporter comes back to the “but he says he will appoint strict constructionists!” at which time Land is forced to use Giuliani’s disgraceful personal life against him. Of course, this shows how desperate the media is to get the religious right to endorse a pro – abortion candidate because he knows that doing so would result in A) Giuliani sending abortion on demand radicals to the bench and B) killing off the pro – life movement for good.
Regrettably, Land goes on to say that evangelicals are willing to support a divorced presidential candidate. Probably because they are equally willing to support divorced pastors of their congregations? See Divorce Is Rampant Among Christian Leaders for another example of the difference between “evangelicals” (Land) and “fundamentalists” (me).
But once we get back to abortion, it is back on point. Again, the NARAL lobbyist masquerading as a reporter and asking far tougher questions than he ever would of any liberal on any issue, even the rare issue where he personally disagrees with the liberal: “Do you feel that to be a person of faith, being pro-life goes with it?” Lay’s response, again is great: “I think it’s impossible for me to comprehend how a person can be a person of faith and be pro-choice and be consistent, but human beings by nature are inconsistent. Look, I grew up in a society where I am very grateful that I was always taught at home that racism was not only wrong, it was sinful, but I lived in a society [Houston] that was still segregated. I went to segregated schools, lived in a segregated neighborhood, and I knew people who were in many ways profoundly faithful and religious people who had an enormous blind spot called “race.” For many of them it was a very paternalistic attitude. It wasn’t a hostile, vicious attitude, but it was a very paternalistic one.” The big news here is that you have a leader of the Southern Baptist Convention saying that racism is a sin. With that, the reporter was forced to abandon his baby – killing advocacy. Otherwise, he would be guilty of claiming that racism is not a sin.
It was a good show for Clay Land. Now the question is when Giuliani or particularly Romney gets the nomination, whether he will follow through on his threat. My prediction: no. Romney will never give Land what he wants, because Romney wouldn’t be spending tens of millions of his own money to become president if his entire motivation was anything other than to use that office to convert as many Christians as he can both in America and worldwide into Mormon apostasy. Romney wants to fill as many people full of his masonic Mormon demons and take them with him to the lake of fire for an eternity as he can. What does Revelation 12:12 say about Satan and imply about the rest of the evil spirits? “Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.” So these Mormon apostasy demons know where they are going. They know that the actual Jesus Christ defeated them on the cross for eternity. So now the battle is taking as many as they can with them.
So Clay Land, when Mitt Romney gets the GOP nomination thanks to his own money, George W. Bush’s organization, and being the very personification of the idolatrous false “public religion of values” (a term that a great many religious right types are using!), what are you going to do? Will you stand on the Lord’s side against the wickedness of the world? Or will you forbear, join the world, and therefore share in the fate of this world, which has been judged as wicked through its rejection of God’s own Son and will be destroyed by fire? For despite your many works, Clay Land, you too, along with your many cohorts on the religious right, are going to have to stand before God on the day of the great white throne judgment. So what are you going to do, Clay Land and the religious right, when judgment day comes for you? Your actions now will determine your fate!

Anne Coulter has exposed herself to be a heretic preacher of dual covenant theology. Why? Because she is a player in the religious right, and in order to be so, you have to mollify all of the people in the tent. If some of the people in the tent (fundamentalist, evangelical, and traditional Christians) are telling the others (Mormons, Catholics, Jews, etc.) that unless they accept the God of the Bible through Jesus Christ only that they are going to spend an eternity in the lake of fire, the tent collapses! Please see the link below: http://www.israelforum.com/board/showthread.php?threadid=13227
COULTER: UMMMMM (pause) … It would look like New York City during the Republican National Convention. In fact, that’s what I think heaven is going to look like.
No heretic Coulter, America is not new Jerusalem and the Republican Party is not the body of Christ.
Now she made several comments leading up to this, but here is the payoff.
COULTER: No, no, no, no, no. I don’t want you being offended by this. This is what Christians consider themselves, because our testament is the continuation of your testament. You know that. So we think Jews go to heaven. I mean (Jerry) Falwell himself said that, but you have to follow laws. Ours is “Christ died for our sins.” We consider ourselves perfected Christians. For me to say that for you to become a Christian is to become a perfected Christian is not offensive at all.
This is false you heretic who is prostituting the gospel for political expediency. You do not serve the true Christ, but rather your craven lust for money and power. The New Testament says over and over again that the law cannot get you into heaven because A) none could keep the law but Jesus Christ (who is GOD) and B) the law was never given as a means to provide for salvation to begin with, but rather to set Israel apart from the other nations. Coulter has read Romans, Galatians, Hebrews, and the gospels. She knows this. She just doesn’t care about Jesus Christ, and because of that she doesn’t love the Jews that she is lying to in her claims to not want to offend them. If she truly loved the Jewish people, she would tell them about John 14:26 – that Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven – and stand firm on it.
COULTER: No, it’s true. I give all of these speeches at megachurches across America, and the one thing that’s really striking about it is how utterly, completely diverse they are, and completely unself-consciously. You walk past a mixed-race couple in New York, and it’s like they have a chip on their shoulder. They’re just waiting for somebody to say something, as if anybody would. And —
So which megachurches allow this heretic to address their congregations? Well, that tells you what God THEY are serving, doesn’t it?
Now folks, this proves that the religious right is quickly becoming just as apostate as the religious left, because it cannot survive without resorting to ecumenism and universalism.

I am concerned with the full – throated denunciations of replacement theology by evangelical and liberal Christians. The reason is that doing so almost inevitably leads down the path that starts with de – emphasizing important and fundamental Christian doctrine and ends with dual covenant theology. Why are we so afraid of causing offense to our Jewish friends on this matter? We should respect their feelings, but we cannot allow our doctrines to be governed by said feelings. And moreover, why are do we give any more considerations to the feelings of Jews than we do Muslims, Hindus, wiccans, etc.? Do we feel that Jesus Christ is the only way to God and eternal life or don’t we? Thus, if Judaism will not result in the salvation of a person from an eternity in the lake of fire, then what profit is there in it? In what way is it superior to satanism or witchcraft?
There is a point to my absurd reductionism here. One of the things that began to turn me away from the ministry of John Hagee was when he started having Orthodox rabbis on his show, and they would actually discuss things concerning God and scripture. Of course, Jesus Christ was never mentioned. Hagee knew perfectly well that the rabbis that he was putting on his TV show will go to the lake of fire for eternity unless he accepted Jesus Christ as his savior. Would Hagee have put a Muslim or Mormon on his show and talk about scripture with them? After all, you can talk about Jesus Christ in front of a Mormon or Muslim all you want and they won’t get the least bit offended! Of course not! Now as it was from Hagee that I first learned of the term “replacement theology” and how awful it was – responsible for the Holocaust he claims – and now I am wondering if it is all a scam. After all, has Hagee had Messianic Jewish rabbis on his show? Gary Hedrick, one of the most prominent Messianic Jews in this country, is right in Hagee’s San Antonio. If he has, I never saw them, and the answer is almost certainly no because affiliating with Messianic Jews would end Hagee’s political relationships with AIPAC and similar concerns in America and Israel that he has used to become quite influential.
But wait, you say, Jews and Christians worship the same God, so my comparison with Muslims, Mormons, and certainly satanists is wrong. No we don’t. The only way that you worship God is in spirit and in truth (John 4:22-24), which means that God can only be worshiped in the manner that He tells us to. When Christ spoke those words to the Samaritan woman, he was summarizing the commandments given to the Jews in the Torah where God commanded that their worship of Him not emulate the practices of pagan religions, so Christ did not give a new revelation in this regards: it is integral to Judaism (Christians, regrettably, have been more than willing to syncretize our worship with pagan and humanistic beliefs and practices unfortunately). So what did God say in John 14:6? “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” In this dispensation, the only way to worship God is to acknowledge Jesus Christ as God and worship the Father through Him with the Holy Spirit as the Intercessor. Now of course, the Jews were doing this in the Old Testament, but had no knowledge of it. But when that knowledge was revealed to them, they rejected it. As such, since they refuse to worship Jesus Christ as God, then they are not worshiping the true God. Christians that pretend otherwise, quite frankly, are either dual covenant theologists or are giving silent assent to what they know to be a lie. The New Testament, especially Hebrews and Romans, states repeatedly that there is no profit to the religion of the Jews without Christ.
Ah, but Christianity came from Judaism so we have to respect it, they say! As a matter of fact, it is becoming quite fashionable in recent times to say that Jesus Christ never intended to start a new religion. Well, that line of thinking actually helps replacement theology, because Jesus Christ explicitly stated that His purpose was to fulfill the law and that the Jews should forsake what they were practicing before and to follow Him, for He alone was the way. Even after the term “Christian” was first applied to the largely Gentile church at Antioch, it was not applied to Jews that believed upon the resurrection of Yeshua HaMashiach. Rather, they were called “the way” or “Nazarenes.” During the early part of Christ’s ministry, He tried to convince the Jews that the kingdom at heaven was at hand and to follow Him. It was only after He was rejected by Jews that He laid the foundation for the church (Himself) by intensively training and teaching the apostles.
Christ obviously tried to replace the Judaism of the day with worship that acknowledged Him as the Son of God but was rejected, see John 5:18 “Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.” After the Jews rejected the Stone, Christ built the church to take on the role that the Jews rejected. By virtue of the church doing what the Jews would not do, their entering the Promised Land when the Jews forbeared as their forefathers did when they left Egypt and as a result all save Joshua and Caleb died in the wilderness (a remnant that pretty much represents the Messianic Jews of today), clearly the church assumed the role that was originally intended for Israel, and in real spiritual terms replaced Israel. The church is now the vehicle by which God’s Will is done and His Presence made known upon the earth. Claiming otherwise is to deny the entirety of the New Testament.
Now this is where I part ways with Hank Hanegraaf and a great many other Christians that deeply resent Jews and in particular the nation of Israel, and as such have to basically declare Revelation to be mere political resistance literature to justify their antipathy (completely ignoring that Revelation expounds upon Matthew 24 and the endtimes teachings of Paul, Jude, and the other epistles from John). First, you have Romans 11:1-2a. “I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew.” And even more so, you have what makes my comparisons with Judaism and other religions extremely problematic superficially. Romans 3:1-4 reads “What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God. For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.”
Yes, the Mosaic covenant is broken and done away with. Not that you would ever know that from listening to John Hagee, who not only preaches the false prosperity doctrine based on it, but actually claims that Christians will be cursed under the terms of the old covenant for not tithing. But the covenant with Abraham is still in effect! Genesis 12:1-3 reads “Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” Now please realize that the portion in bold has already been fulfilled by way of Jesus Christ, the one who brought salvation to every nation, was a descendant of Abraham. But the rest? It is still very much in effect.
So, did I bring a curse upon myself by saying that Jews do not worship the same God as we do and there is no difference between being a Jew and a satanist? How did I avoid transgressing Romans 3:1-4? Simple. My former statement was confirmed in Romans 2:16-29. Please notice such excerpts from that passage as “For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written” and “For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.” As for my latter statement, I limited its terms to eternal salvation only.
But even as the church is incontrovertibly the spiritual and true descendants of Abraham, it is equally incontrovertible that because of God’s unconditional covenant with that same Abraham that in a natural sense his descendants are God’s chosen, elect people. This was demonstrated by the fact that God, even after their breaking the covenant and taking away the natural monarchy (the spiritual Davidic monarch, the true monarch, is Jesus Christ), God still restored them to their land. Some would say that the chosen status was entirely transferred to Jesus Christ, who became the personification of Israel. As such, those who are saved are in Christ and therefore are spiritually “living in Israel.” I do not disagree. But the problem is that a spiritual single reference interpretation does not solve the problem of Romans 3:1-4. There has to be a dual reference interpretation: one that applies naturally to the Jews and spiritually to the church. That certain Christians are unwilling to do that and in the course of doing so reject Revelation (and with it not only the long line of prior prophetic and eschatological passages that serve as the foundation of Revelation, but also the warnings to the churches in Revelation 2 and 3 and virtually everything straightforward that we know about the final resurrection and judgment) is not replacement theology. Rather, it is simply rejecting parts of scripture that they find disagreeable. The re – establishment of Israel proves that Romans 3:1-4 is true and that Genesis 12:1-3 is still in effect.
That isn’t a problem with me, because if Romans 3:1-4 and Genesis 12:1-3 are true, then it means that John 3:16 and Romans 10:9-10 are true too, and therefore that I am going to be with God for eternity rather than in the lake of fire. But it is a problem for a great many professed Christians who root for the collapse of the state of Israel (starting with its self – immolation by way of making a peace deal with Palestine) because to them that would prove that Genesis 12:1-3 has been transferred away from the Jews and to them. Why? Simple jealousy. They cannot stand being second place in any context. It doesn’t matter that their being second place is only for a time so that the very same God that they are trusting for their salvation based on His Word can keep the promise that He made with Abraham and thereby be true to that very same Word. But regardless of what they tell themselves in their rebellious hearts, Genesis 12:1-3 is still true. Because of Genesis 12:1-3, God is not through dealing with the Jewish people and the nation of Israel. Because of the promise to Abraham, the Jews and Israel are still going to be the central characters and have the leading role as the last days of history play out.
What will that role be? The end will not come until Israel, as a nation, undoes the wrong that they committed about 2000 years ago by accepting Jesus Christ as their Messiah and their God. Revelation 1:7 “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.” Messianic Jew Randy Weiss of Crosstalk.org theorizes that this will happen when the entire nation of Israel in unison cries out to God in to save them from the armies that come against them during Armaggeddon. According to Weiss, the whole nation will be screaming “God save us!”, at which time Jesus Christ will return and do just that. At that time will be impossible to deny, for the Hebrew Name of Jesus, Y’shua, means “God saves.” How will they be forced to acknowledge that it is the Christian Jesus Christ rather than the Messiah that rabbinic Judaism teaches that they are still awaiting? Well, “and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him” would tend to mean that the wounds in His side and hands, the same ones that doubting Thomas said that he had to see and touch before he would believe, will still be there. In that respect, just as Judas Iscariot was the prototype for the members of his nation that rejected Christ and will eternally perish up until that day, Thomas was the prototype for the members of the Jewish nation that have been predestined by God to survive the great tribulation, see Jesus Christ on that day, repent, and be saved: those that will never believe unless they see (John 4:48) what the church believed without seeing and are called blessed because of it.
Why must history play out in this fashion? Think not of it in terms of the Jews being so special. (Which is not to say that the Jews AREN’T special; they just are, OK, so you just have to accept that and if you cannot well then it is on your head.) Instead, it is all about GOD. It is all about GOD being glorified for His Great Name’s sake. Please recall when Moses made his intercession for the children of Israel after they sinned in the desert. What did Moses say? Think of destroying Your nation would mean for YOUR NAME; how it would be viewed by Egypt and the other nations of the world. Does God need vindication, acknowledgment, and glorification from whom He desires to seek it? No. But does He WANT and DESERVE it? Of course He does. So for the sake of His Own Name and His Own Son, God is not going to countenance corporate rejection by His own elect nation, the very nation that He chose to bear His Name (1 Kings 8:29). If you want to say “Well now the church is God’s nation that carries His Name” … well OK then why didn’t God just destroy Israel in the desert? After all, He would have still had Moses to carry on the promise to Abraham through.
Whether their number will be great or small, Israel will as a nation accept Jesus Christ before the nations of the world so that God will be glorified. And it is because of that, the Will and Glory of God, that the church HAD to replace Israel spiritually but CANNOT replace Israel naturally.
