John Sidney McCain Will Attend Clinton Global Initiative Meeting BEFORE Going Back To Washington To Address Economic Mess!

Posted by Job on September 24, 2008

McCain is trying to suspend the debate on Friday because of the economic mess, but is attending the Clinton global warming meeting on Thursday? It shows that for McCain, globalism is more important than the national interest. See link below:

Heavyweights talk world issues at Clinton event

Please see a liberal criticize Obama for, you know, wanting to be president and campaigning, instead of joining McCain in declaring that globalism is our biggest priority.

Good to see one person highlight the obvious conflict in McCain’s urgency in skipping the debate… but sticking around New York for another 24 hours.

I would think that Friday night’s debate is more relevant to the American public, in making a choice on November 4th, than speaking at the CGI; and so McCain should be flying back to DC immediately, or swapping his priorities between the debate and CGI.

I don’t need to see a debate. I already know that both are senators in the U.S. Congress. They both have a record. One record covers decades with little fanfare the other covers 1 term with the chanting of the world OBAMA,OBAMA!
One man will promise you very little and the other will promise you everything under the sun. One is too young and the other is too old to the opposition parties.
The difference to me is that one is for human rights for the unborn and the other isn’t. A debate will not change my mind. McCain can count backwards from 100 for an hour and I still would vote for him over Obama.

    James:

Just as Southern Baptist Jimmy Carter (the original candidate of the religious right), Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, and George W. Bush did, John McCain:

    A) WILL continue to fund Planned Parenthood with your tax dollars
    B) WILL NOT issue rules to prevent abortion from being covered by your MediCaid tax dollars
    C) WILL NOT propose or fight for laws to prevent Christian nurses, pharmacists, and doctors from having to perform abortions or issue RU – 486 as part of their education and in the course of doing their jobs
    D) WILL appoint pro – abortion judges to the Supreme Court and federal judiciary
    E) WILL NOT speak out directly against the evil of abortion the way that they speak out for war, for policies that favor the rich, for the Roman Catholic Church, for NATO/China/U.N., for globalism, for illegal immigration, for religious pluralism and ecumenism, for NAFTA, for global warming, and all sorts of other evils

There may yet be a reason to favor McCain over Obama. But abortion is not one of them.

Okay Job, you might be right on some of these points but how do you know McCain would appoint pro abortion judges? That is in the future….we can’t know that….at least with Obama you do know exactly what you getting….a radical leftist who will indeed appoint Abortionists to the Bench….with McCain….who knows what he’ll do???

I am just following the pattern. Reagan put two pro – abortion judges on the bench. George H. W. Bush put one. George W. Bush put a bunch of pro – abortion judges on the federal appeals courts, and tried to get GOP social conservatives to approve Edith Jones and Alberto Gonzalez for the spot that John Roberts got. The GOP talks a good game on abortion (sometimes) but never backs it up.

I don’t agree with this. This is misleading. Those of us who are pro-Life are not all naive. McCain is our best chance. Barack Obama has already clearly opposed our faith.
We do what we can as indivuals and influence as many as we can to support human rights for the unborn. He needs more Pro-Life people to take money out from Planned Parenthood as well as get their clinics away from our playgrounds. We need churches to show courage during these times to not vote with the whims of Hollywood and give some vocal support for moral issues.
    B) WILL NOT issue rules to prevent abortion from being covered by your MediCaid tax dollars.
Same as A. If more people will not only tell Barack Obama that life begins at conception but tell most of the Democrats to keep true to their faith. New rules for MediCaid can trim off the bloody abortion money.
    C) WILL NOT propose or fight for laws to prevent Christian nurses, pharmacists, and doctors from having to perform abortions or issue RU – 486 as part of their education and in the course of doing their jobs.
We need pro-life congressmen in the house and senate who have the courage to draft laws to protect medical personel from violating their hippocratic oath not to harm. I no longer vote for congressmen who are wishywashy on this.
    D) WILL appoint pro – abortion judges to the Supreme Court and federal judiciary
I don’t see why he would. He doesn’t need to. Anybody with sanity is better than Ruth Ginsberg is barely coherent and nearing the end of “competency” When she leave the SCOTUS we do not want anyone that far to the extreme left.
    E) WILL NOT speak out directly against the evil of abortion the way that they speak out for war, for policies that favor the rich, for the Roman Catholic Church, for NATO/China/U.N., for globalism, for illegal immigration, for religious pluralism and ecumenism, for NAFTA, for global warming, and all sorts of other evils.
These are DNC talking points. Anytime you hear about the rich or protecting the middle class then a cry goes out for socialism. If we have a capitalist country then the rich provide jobs for everyone else. I own property. When I have money I can hire contractors to help me around the house. When I’m broke then I have to do most of the heavy lifting myself.
I want to be rich but I want to willfully give not be robbed by the taxman. John McCain has not been sectarian or he wouldn’t have picked Palin. That should be enough to dispel that idea.

    James,

    Hi hope you are well.

I am a firm believer in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I also believe that economic and political policies must be decided upon a case by case basis. There is no golden rule that solves all. For example when Thatcher followed Milton Freedman’s advice I am told it worked well in Europe. The same hands off approach to the market led to the financial mess that we are in now.

I believe that the time for capitalism is fading. I believe without a shadow of a doubt that facism is the most evil form of government possible. The United States is headed towards fascism. The partnerships between big business, the banks and the government is very troubling. Add to this that congress just approved the largest milatary budget ever in the United States. What do you think they are going to do with all those weapons? What do you think will happen when we have forty percent unemployment and the army offers you a way to survive?

God is at work establishing His kingdom for the millenium. I bow to my Lord’s will. Jesus is not a capitalist. He despises the love of money which is idolatry. Capitalism was good for a while but has done far to many evils. We need a change but I don’t pretend to have all the wisdom necessary to cover every aspect of the plan. I know that socialism as experienced in Europe has sapped initiative and made people lazy. (This is what I am told and not my experience.) I realize this. Yet I also realize that we never a more kinder society. At least that is my dream and my vision. Capitalism starts with the basic premise what can I get out of this situation. Socialism starts with the basic premise what can I give in this situation.

I know many will disagree and I am certainly willing to listen and dialouge. I love the way that the native American tribes handled things. When becoming an adult they intitiate promised that nobody in the tribe would go hungry or be alone.

    Love,

    John

Uh yeah sure John…I think Marxism has facism beat in terms of the most ‘evil’ form of govt lest you forget what the left has done the last 100 years under Marx and Lenin and Stalin and Mao and Pol Pot and Castro and Mengistu et al.

    Devon,

    Hi hope you are well.

I made no mention to Marxism at all. Any philosopher who rejected God can’t be held with any esteem. Marx said a few good things.

Whether Hitler was worse than Stalin or Mao I cannot say. Also Stalin, Mao and other of their ilk practiced state capitalism. The difference between what occurred under Stalin and what other Marxists believe is this. Stalin had a government that the top had all the power and the bottom just fell in line. Plain and simple an atrocious dictatorship. What Marxists dream of is a society where the power comes from the people and dictates what the leaders do. It is a tremendous difference. One thing I reject about Marx is his idea of the dictatorship of the proletariat.

    Love,

    John

    Devon,

    Hi hope you are well.

One thing you should understand is that Marxism was given birth by the oppressive nature of the capitalists. Marx saw workers, men woman and children, working long hours, in unsafe conditions, with no health coverage and no political representation. Look at where Marxism took hold. In Russia first, then China and then Cuba. In all three instances there was severe oppression in those environments.

Marxism is a humane counter proposal to defeat inhumane circumstances. Also realize in all the inhumanity Marx saw the church was doing not one thing to help the oppressed. Thus came Marx’s rejection of God and the church as the opiate of the masses.

The problem with Marxism is that it’s followers follow Marx like Christians should follow the Bible. Different Marxists will split hairs over minor trifles. It is a very disgusting thing and Christians do it as well.
With Marx’s rejection of God the state became the defacto god. Marxism always winded up in dictatorships where the leader would represent the state thus the leader would be God. You can see this readily in North Korea, China, Cuba and Russia where pictures of the leaders overflow rallies and occupy every house. When the leader becomes God he is infallable and we see the trouble in these meglomaniacs.

Still Marx’s observations have some validity. He was right about the need to end the oppression and he was right that the churhes were not doing anything constructive to deal with the problem.

You and others comment that you should experience how various countries treat other peoples. Your point is true and very valid. In the same light imagine what is was like is Tzarist Russia or in an occupied China during the Opium wars. If you do so you will understand why people went to extremes. Marxism was seen as the solution and people to their demise followed it blindly.

We as Christians follow the Bible. And though we walk by faith and not by sight it is not in blindness. I have seen the fruits of God’s presence in my life in many aspects. God has truly changed the person that I am and has allowed me to be involved in relationships with some wonderful people.

The Bible speaks little about politics other than we should follow God. Unfortunately the system in America does not follow God. Instead of talking about giving 700 Billion dollars away we should be talking about getting on our knees and praying to God for help. We should be examining where our society has deviated from the ways of the Allmighty. Not only must we recognize where are evils are but we must repent and turn away from them. I see none of this happening. Instead the nation puts its faith in things other than God. Whatever is built on the sand shall fall. I stand on the Rock of Jesus Christ so I am not in the least bit concerned. In fact I see these troublesome times as an excellent opportunity to spread the message of Jesus Christ. The darker the night the brighter the light shines.

    Love,

    John

I am a Christian capitalist Pro-lifer now. So many hats to wear. We can go to supermarkets and find row after row of food because we have a good system. I can go to McDonalds in almost every city with a dollar and get a hamburger. I am thankful and glad to be an American. Our poorest are considered wealthy compared to cities like Calcutta, India. I can go to section 8 housing in any city and find the WII, XBOX360, gold chains, spinning rims, direct tv, Cadillacs, and the latest fashions. The heaviest people live in the poorest cities.
Even with our recession we still have lower unemployment than most industrialized countries.

So am I. But John McCain is neither. That is my only point. It is really distressing that a guy like Tom Coburn, who was my favorite politician, appears to be best buddies with Barack Obama.

    Job,
If you can give me a good quote that McCain will not support the unborn then I can move to a candidate who will. I live in a blue state where Obama will win 2 to 1 anyway.
