One reason I’m glad that I left that wishy-washy denomination. Sadly, this isn’t new, the C of E has a history of this, check out

Do they believe blacks were first or last to fall out of the tree? Those races with the weaker grip fell out first. This is obsurdity!! This planet was created by God. I know Matt Damon hates creationists, most Christians. I don’t care about his Bourne Identity.
This planet is perfect for sustaining life being the perfect distance from the sun in its rotation. Science with sanity declares a creator.

Job, objective evidence trumps belief . . . Sorry to say. As far as equating Darwinism with racism goes, I suggest you read Jared Diamond’s Guns, Germs and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies, for a cogent explanation as to how differences in human cultures evolved. Darwin’s theories mesh very well with Diamond’s thesis. Diamond won a Pulitzer Prize for the book.

  4. Charles,

    objective evidence trumps belief

So what do you believe will become of yourself when you die and what evidence do you have to affirm it?

Well First of all Charles Darwin was a Church of England clergyman, Secondly, Rowan Wiilliams is a Druid. Thirdly the church of England is into Christian mystery than christianity.

Most things that die rot unless other preparations are made. I do believe there is much evidence on that score.

I do hope my loved ones will make preparations.

My work will carry on through people who have known me, including my children. That is sufficient.

  7. Charles, so you’re hoping somebody will wrap your body in plastic wrap so it does not rot?

You were not put here to simply live a life and later rot. You were placed here, you didn’t just show up, you are here because God made this place for His purpose. And you have to come to know Him, through the One He sent, Jesus, because you’ll do way more than rot after this life.

If you wish to believe that it is your prerogative. I believe that my good acts alone will make a contribution, albeit minuscule, to the furtherance of our species.

Just where was Christ when that baby was recently toasted by his mother in a microwave? If you didn’t read about it, I’m sure you can Google it.

I know: It was “God’s Plan.”

    What tripe.

    Hi hope you are well.

God gave us freedom. One of the reasons he did this was to allow us to see what would happen without following His perfect way. The example you cited is a perfect example of this. That demented woman who microwaved her baby was in rebellion against God! If somebody had Loved that woman and embraced her I wager she would not do what she had done.

You see God does have a plan. Part of the plan is to get us to realize we need God. This life is only temporary. If one realizes that than one can understand more God’s justice. For example Stalin was a wicked mass murderer who died on his bed with his family around. Yet one day he will go before the judgement throne of God.

I commend you Charles for trying to do good and in your ‘miniscule’ way trying to contribute to humanity. I wish others would take that attitude. Yet there is a God out there who can help you and direct you to take a little bit and move mountains with it. I do not know what your objections are about the Bible but here is a perfect forum to discuss them.

As far as evolution goes I find it impossible to believe life came from nothing. I can present scientific evidence of this to back my view if you are interested.

  10. Charles,

Just where was Christ when that baby was recently toasted by his mother in a microwave? If you didn’t read about it, I’m sure you can Google it.

So basically you are trying to tell God what is best for Him to do? You feel God should have killed the woman before she did her evil deed. But Charles, you are not God. God has given the means for life through His Son. It is a message you have been informed of and so you are left with no excuse for your own rebellion.

You’ve heard of Christ before coming here and yet you mock. (I didn’t say “Christ” first, you did. So you knew the message of salvation in Jesus way before hearing from me.)

Charles, no deeds or works of your own can save you and your efforts to “further our species” are like dirty rags to the One who created us all. Remember this Charles, those who call on the Name of the Lord won’t be disappointed.

    With that I close.

Genesis 1:27, “So God made man in his own image”.
Genesis 2:7, “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground.”
Genesis 2:21-22, “And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, …the Lord had taken from man, made he a woman, & brought her unto the man”.
From the above verses, it is obvious that God formed man/woman from dust instead of transforming apes to human beings.
