Fundamentalist Christians If They Treat You Like Omar Khadr One Day Will You Renounce The Faith?

Posted by Job on July 16, 2008

Please read the story below. And do not pretend that America and the world is not slowly becoming a place where what is done to this Canadian teenager will not be done to Christians. As a matter of fact, in some places in the world, Christians get this treatment – and worse – already! Keep Christians that are enduring nightmares like this in mind whenever you hear the seductive doctrines of a prosperity/Word of Faith Christian, or a Christian who correlates piety and godliness with western wealth and power. Jesus Christ is coming back one day to overthrow this Babylon one day, true, but before that day happens, many sorrows are yet to come to pass! That is why I ask of and challenge you today with the question: are you ready?

The Unending Torture of Omar Khadr

Incidentally, the godless communists came up with these tactics that our government is using:

Hypocrisy of the “Repatriate Omar Khadr to Canada” Movement

As soon as the Gitmo interrogation tape of Omar Khadr hit the Internet, the blogosphere was flooded with demands to repatriate him to Canada. This wave is reminiscent of a Soviet campaign to free Luis Corvalán from the “fascist regime” of Augusto Pinochet thirty five years ago. The scenario is strikingly similar. A “victim” held by “fascist regimes” this time run by Bush and Harper, and a public outcry for justice. Except for the fact that Luis Corvalán didn’t kill anyone and didn’t fight for a terrorist group that wants to impose Sharia.

The “repatriate Khadr” crowd describes him as “a child”, “a kid”, “a boy”, and even “a torture victim”, with no facts to substantiate the torture claims notwithstanding. They complain about Khadr being mistreated, again, without anything to back up their claims. Some of them are outraged about “child abuse.” And they all scream for justice.

They want justice? OK, let’s talk about JUSTICE. What about justice for Sgt. First Class Christopher J. Speer, who was (according to an eyewitness) murdered by this “child”? What about justice for Tabitha Speer, who is a widow because of this “kid”? What about justice for Taryn and Tanner Speer, who are left without a father by this “a boy”? And what about all those Afghani civilians and NATO troops who are a little bit safer because this “torture victim” is behind bars? How many of these “repatriate Khadr” hypocrites concern themselves with justice for real victims? In literally hundreds of posts, we couldn’t find a single one.

One would ask, what is the reason for this idiocy? The answer is simple. Ignorance. Complete and utter ignorance. Let’s forget for a second that Omar Khadr killed Christopher Speer. Let’s forget that Khadr’s father was an al Qaeda financier. Let’s forget that Khadr’s family is known for it being al Qaeda sympathizers. Let’s just remember what this “child” was fighting for in Afghanistan.

This is what Taliban-imposed Sharia looks like in real life:

Why don’t all of you, bleeding heart demagogues go to Afghanistan and spend a day in a Taliban-controlled territory? And let’s talk about Khadr when you get back. If you get back.

I know what Khadr did on the battlefield. He did the same thing that any SOLDIER would do to the SOLDIER of an opposing ARMY during a BATTLE. That people that are treating Khadr as if he is a gang member who murdered a cop in cold blood instead of a soldier who killed another soldier during military action are unreal. Are these people THAT brainwashed? Khadr is a prisoner of war and should be treated according to the Geneva Convention. You actually have people who claim that this guy should be tried and executed. For what crime? Since when is being a soldier a crime? Johnny Walker Lindh was a different story. The guy was an American citizen who went against his own troops on the field of battle. But even with Lindh … had he renounced his citizenship first he would have been fine. Another issue … Lindh should have been charged with TREASON. He wasn’t. Why? They claimed that they were having compassion on a confused kid whom there was no evidence that he had actually killed an American soldier. Yeah right. They created charges for Lindh in order to establish a precedent that will expand the ability of the government to go after whoever the government doesn’t like. Both the Lindh case AND the Khadr case prove that the Bush administration is corrupt, and that America is corrupt for letting them get away with it for so long. America either has no knowledge of the law or respect for it. America is ruled entirely by gut reaction. Well, when the “gut reaction” of the country is turned against any particular person or group – and do not pretend that government and media propaganda won’t create and influence that “gut reaction” especially over a period of time – you will see what I am talking about, especially if you are one of the people that the government and media turns the populace against.

Actually I think Khadr was playing dead and then he popped up and killed a U.S. soldier…it was plain and simply and act of terrorism…not cool at all…I can tell you here in Canada, this family is rightly looked down upon..the Mom and Daughter are on Video praising the 9-11 attacks and the Father was killed as a terrorist..

They are Canada’s first family of terrorism and very wicked evil people….they cannot be defended…

Keep them in your prayers though for salvation…what an amazing testimony for Christ if they could be reached…

    Hi hope you are well.

You know that I am a pacafist from previous conversations. You have said it is okay for Christians to fight in wars a point I disagree with.

What is the difference here in this case? The man killed a soldier on the field of battle. I am not minimizing the value of the soldier’s life at all so please don’t go there.

How can you say it is okay for the Christian to kill on the battle field and not others? The people in Afghanastan and Iraq look at the United States as the aggressor and enemy. You can’t have it both ways.

If this young man’s acts was an act of terror then why isn’t it an act of terror when we kill others. I recall an incident in Afghanastan where they dropped a cluster bomb on a wedding.

At least Job is consistent in his approach to war. You say it is good for your side to kill in war but bad for the other side. Try to put yourselves in the shoes of others.

Let me give you one more scripture. “Whatever you have done to the least of them you have done to me.” This is what the Judge said to the sheeps and goats. I take this very seriously. I look at a human being, in any circumstance and say that’s Jesus. Not that that inividual is God but that I treat them as the same as if it was Jesus.

    So would you bomb Jesus?

JOhn you are badly morally equivicating a Just cause with an evil one..

The Khadr’s and millions of other Islamic terrorists are fighting for an evil cause..a cause that involves brutalizing non muslims, the subjugating of women, the murder of those that leave islam..

How CAN YOU not SEE the difference between an American Medic trying to help the wounded on the battlefield and then Khadr who was playing dead (deceit..the islamic way) and then pops up and kills the guy…VERSUS, the murderous intent of the Taliban for which Khadr is fighting for..

    Where is your moral compass?????

So by your logic, the Nazis were just as equal in killing us and justified as we were, the Allies that were trying to stop an evil ideology??

When my side starts celebrating the mass murder of children and the brutal treatment of women and so on and so forth, then I will no longer fight for my side…at this point, even with all our decadence, we are still miles ahead of the murderous radical islam and its followers…

Give your head a serious shake John…your miltant pacifism gives you a shakey foundation to say the least…

Honestly John…I think you need to go back and relay some of your foundation….you are soooooo way off here…..I do not ‘see Jesus’ in people that celebrate mass murder….if you do, then your theological underpinnings need some serious adjusting!

I certainly am not advocating violence, I wish neither side was fighting. I am not aware of the specifics of this incedent and from reading Job’s entry I assumed it was an Afghanastan solider slaying an American soldier.

It is your own words that you felt it was fine that a Christian can go to war. So then what is the problem of another going to war.

I ask you to put yourself in the position of another person who is different than you. I want you to understand how they think. Afghanastan was dominated by the British than the Russians and now the Americans came in. Furthermore the Middle East has long swayed back and forth from Western and Muslim influence. At one point the Moors were in Spain and were threatening all of Europe. Yet in more recent history the Middle East was dominated by European powers. Syria was under French control and Jordan under English.

Why is this history so important. For the people fighting in Afghanastan in their minds they are warring against an aggressive and oppressive foreign power. They are fighting to defend their way of life. You may not like it and I may not like it but that it their view.

Notice they are fighting on their own soil. They are defending their home land.

I wish their was no war at all. Unfortunately we live in a sin cursed world. I would ask you that as you profess to be a Christian to follow the Words of Jesus. “Love your enemy.” What part of that phrase don’t you comprehend. You don’t blow up or gun down people that you love. As far as war goes there will always be plenty of people to go off and fight them for “Wide and broad is the way to destruction and many walk down it while straight and narrow is the way to salvation and few find it.”

I want you to follow the example of Jesus Christ. Here is a man that had no sin and was perfect. He suffered humiliation, torture and carried his cross so he could be crucified to die for our sins. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever should believeth in him should not perish but have ever lasting life.” Don’t you comprehend the God loves each and every one of us.

You can build your house on the sand or on the Rock.

As far as killing innocents do you remember something called “Shock and awe”. Or go back to Vietnam and recall that we dropped more tonnage of bombs on Northern Vietnam then we did in Europe during World War II.

You are the one who has to seriously examine your faith. Let me share Hebrews 11:13-16 “These all died in faith, not having seen them afar off, and were pesuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the Earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly; wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.”

Devon walk by faith not by sight. The kingdom of the Christian is not of this world. You are so convinced that your earthly cause is right that you deny a simple teaching of Jesus. “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; that ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven….”

Is loving your enemies killing them?
Do you bless those that curse you?
Do you do good to them that hate you?
Do you pray for those that despitefully use you?

Your problem is either not understanding the English language which I know it is not or refusing to accept the teachings of Jesus.

    May God bless you!

John ..honestly…the ‘people’by and large of Afghanistan ARE NOT fighting against our troops…THE Taliban which is a murderous Islamic movement (Talib meaning Student) are the ones taking up arms..and increasingly, these murderous scoundrals are coming from Pakistan and other Islamic countries….As for this young murderous terrorist, Mr. Khadr, he belongs in prison for the rest of his life if not in front of a firing squad…..he is a TERRORIST JOHN…a HUGE difference between an honest Military combatant….

As for the Afghan people, being of many tribes, are by and by quite hostile to the Taliban but had no recourse in throwing off their shackles until America and the West helped them……to this day, the masses of Afghanistan want us to stay there and fight off the Taliban!

As for Shock and Awe, what is your point? Innocent Civilians get killed in every war….the American Military doctrine is not to purposely target innocents…if it were so, their wouldn’t be one Iraqi or Afghani left…the American Military is the most humane military on earth…indeed, the money spent on Smart weapons as to avoid killing civilians is immense….The Marxists of Russia past and China present purposely to this day fire on civilians to create terror……those are brutal military’s.

Again, you are trapped by your own petard….you are so militant in seeing pacifism in the Bible, you end up supporting great evil by doing nothing (Remember Edmond Burke) … the Viet Cong, Taliban, Islamic terrorists, Saddam Hussien etc etc ravage huge populations and you advocate not helping them?

DO you honestly think the Lord expects us to wink at evil and do nothing? Do you think it was wrong to stop Slavery in the American Civil War?? Their is simply nothing wrong with a Christian taking up arms if he feels led to do so….believe it or not, the Lord does lead some Christians into the military life.

You see where this is leading..your faulty understanding of this issue leads you into a horrific moral dilemma….

I, on the other hand, recognize fully that their is a time for peace and a time for war….our Savior taught us to discern good from evil…THIS is not Black and White as you see it…their is much grey here…..were both correct….

You seem to think that every Christian has to subscribe to your faulty view on this issue…Sorry John..the Bible simply doesn’t explicitly teach your way of thinking vis a vis Military or Fighting etc etc…it teaches both views…..war and peace….

For each one of us, the Lord will lead in a way that conforms to his image…and he can use a multitude of professions whilst doing that and he will be Glorified whether we are a Christian Soldier or a Christian Accountant….but by your thinking, a Christian cannot be a Policeman either…they sometimes have to kill evil people to…I am not a soldier but if my nation calls upon me and I believe, as in St. Augustine’s words, it is a Just War, I will go fight if I have to…

As for the rest of your statement, I agree…we are pilgrims passing through this fallen world….I believe that Biblically speaking that Capital Punishment is 100 percent allowed in the Bible…that doesn’t mean I do not love Charles Manson and not to pray for him…

I hope to the All Mighty that Bin Ladin, if he is still alive, gets saved…BUT that doesn’t exclude him from suffering the consquences of his actions….I have no ill regard to him or any other murderer but I do want to see them come to justice…

You seem to have a misunderstanding when it comes to ‘Loving your enemies’….that doesn’t mean that they are to not suffer consquences for their actions….they can be forgiven by us as Christians and from the Lord but they still need to pay for their evil ie the thief on the cross….

    Take care

    Hi hope you are well.

One simple question. Would you drop a bomb on somebody you love?

Just answer that yes or no to conclude our conversation.

  10. Devon said

Silly question John and that question is not to be taken seriously!

I would however drop the bomb on murderers and terrorists and hope to God that before they are killed that they repent and come to Christ!

The problem is John your are extreme in your views of pacifism…I say the Lord has room for both of our views and that is demonstrated throughout the Bible..a time for being passive…a time for being a warrior…
