End Time Charts: Rapture Positions Compared

  1. Well Job, you’ve gone and exposed the Origen link. Oh the folks who hold to Amillennialism are going to either be very ticked with you now or they’re going to have to admit they’ve been holding to some flawed theology.

I wonder how folks of the Prewrath view explain Revelation 9:4, given that occurs during the 5th trumpet of the 7th seal. That verse alone affirms there will still be saints on earth during that time. Saints who don’t suffer that particular wrath of God.

And the whole “7 year tribulation” matter is not at all mentioned in Revelation. I did a post about that 7 year (and 70 week) notion a while back, Post Tribulation Rapture and the Abomination of Desolation.

Folks, saints will be here till the Lord returns and He’s coming the last day. Then the millennial reign of the Lord will begin.

I have to say that I am a little confused…I thought you guys were amill…being that I think you guys leaned to Reform theology…though not all reformers are amill but generally speaking they are…..

So what eschatology do you hold to here? Pre Mill……that is what I lean to but I am not dogmatic as I havn’t really studied end times all that much…

Certainly an inhouse debate in the Christian world to be sure…

First, it is not just an in – house debate. The rapture cult has caused a ton of damage in the secular sphere, especially in the political realm. So, into the secular sphere and the political realm Christians must go with the message that Tim LaHaye – John Hagee eschatology did not come about until the 19th century and was not widely adopted until the 20th century, so Christians should not do things like supporting attacks on Iran thinking that it will make Jesus Christ come back sooner OR unconditionally support and defend everything Israel does. The second part is mighty revealing to what dispensationalism has done to our political mindset. Israel has a SECULAR government and it is a nation centered around a false religion that rejects Jesus Christ. So … what causes American Christians to believe that Israel is going to be any more righteous than any other nation? Take away dispensationalism, and no one in their right minds would have this brazen “100% unapologetic unconditional Israel supporter” nonsense. Take away dispensationalism and Israel is just another strategic ally subject to praise and criticism as their behavior merits it just like anyone else.

Second, if the Reformers were amillennialists, well then hey, they were wrong about infant baptism too! I believe in total depravity, unconditional election, limited atonement, irresistible grace, and perseverance of the saints because the balance of Biblical evidence points to it. Similarly, I reject amillennialism because of its lack of biblical support.

    Hi hope you are well.

Israel is not Israel. They cannot trace their blood lines back. Also they follow the Talmud.

So Job, then what eschatology view do you hold then if not Amill?

    Historic premillennialism.

1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Revelation 8:2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.

Revelation 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

Revelation 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

    Check these out.
