Jesus Christ Is Lord

That every knee should bow and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father!

All right you fans of this Word of Faith prosperity heathen blaspheming witch, where are you? Are you going to defend her now? What more is it going to take?

Original post here Paula White’s Outrageous Heresies!

Please compare what you saw and heard on this video to these passages of scripture.

Jesus Christ Is Clearly Called the ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD.

John 1:14   And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 1:18 No man has seen God at any time; the only begotten God, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.

John 3:16   “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.

John 3:18 “He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Prayer to Jesus

John 14:14 [Jesus said] If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.

1Cor. 1:2   To the church of God that is in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints together with all those who in every place call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both their Lord and ours:

Acts 8:22 Repent, therefore, of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that, if possible, the intent of your heart may be forgiven you.

2 Cor 12:7 So to keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations,a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from becoming conceited. 8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

Acts 7:54   Now when they heard these things they were enraged, and they ground their teeth at him. 55 But he, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. 56 And he said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.” 57 But they cried out with a loud voice and stopped their ears and rushed together at him. 58 Then they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their garments at the feet of a young man named Saul. 59 And as they were stoning Stephen, he called out, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” 60 And falling to his knees he cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

Acts 8:24 And Simon answered, “Pray for me to the Lord, that nothing of what you have said may come upon me.”

Acts 1:24 And they prayed and said, “You, Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which one of these two you have chosen

1 John 5:11 And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13   I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life. 14 And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.

Heb. 7:25 Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.

Independent Conservative’s take here: Will Paula White be the Biggest Apostate Heretic of 2008? She’s Made Her Self Nomination Known!

I was really flabbergasted (and that’s not a word in my regular vocabulary) at all the heresy I saw from Paula White and her partner in heresy Larry Huck. Honestly, it’s so bad I’m not even comfortable posting the video here. Just check out the post at A Little Leaven titled Paula White’s Outrageous Heresies!

And for the record, I don’t feel either Paula White or Larry Huck are saved or ever were saved. It’s apparent they wanted money and they got it. Yea it’s OK to pray for them, but lets not play games here, what they’ve done is all of 2 Peter 2.

I mean seriously, I’ve heard much heresy from these people, but this one is really shocking, even to me.

Also, our brother on YouTube bezel333 has a video all about Paula and Larry titled The unbiblical musings of Paula White and friends.

Listen, I know that it offends the sensibilities of so many Christians today, especially the church of judge not. But listen folks, some people are just going to the lake of fire and burn for an eternity! That is the truth. Some people are going to go to HELL! If you are a liar, apostate, blasphemer, diviner, cheat, fornicator, or thief sitting in a pulpit, you are going to HELL! If you are sitting in a “church” following these wicked people, you are going to go to HELL too right behind them! What? I don’t have the right or authority to say this about people? Excuse me, but yes I do! Where do I get this authority from? THE BIBLE! IT IS IN THE BIBLE! Are any of you people that are following and defending these evil wicked people reading your Bibles?

Listen, the prosperity/Word of Faith doctrines are what is behind all this. You have all of these people going back scouring the Old Testament and thereby rejecting the new covenant built on better promises looking for their material blessings. Well, once you start pushing away Jesus Christ and eternal life to the backburner, He starts figuring less prominently in your mind. That is what the prosperity doctrine does. And the Word of Faith doctrine? By convincing yourself that you can metaphysically cause your own blessings to come upon you by speaking, naming and claiming, etc. you convince yourself that “you can be like the Most High.” You start elevating yourself higher and higher and bringing God lower and lower.

Listen, I know this topic makes a lot of people uneasy and for that reason they don’t want to talk about it. But it is time for Christians to face facts: people are going to go the lake of fire to burn for an eternity. Once we acknowledge that fact within ourselves, we have to start considering precisely who the people are that are going to meet with this awful fate, and the sole determinant should be what the Bible says. Not what the preacher says, not what you feel is good and right, not what the denomination says, but what the Bible says. After you have done that, then you need to look at yourself. Yes, church of judge not, you have to judge yourself. Examine yourself to see whether you be in the faith (2 Corinthians 13:5)! As yourself “Am I going to go to the lake of fire? If so, why? If not, why not?” Pray and ask God this question. Most of all, READ YOUR BIBLE AND JUDGE YOURSELF AGAINST SCRIPTURE. JUDGE YOURSELF AGAINST THE REALLY HARD TOUGH THINGS. Like when Jesus Christ says “And they shall be cast into outer darkness and there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Read the people that Jesus Christ is talking about and ask yourself “DOES THAT APPLY TO ME?!” Go to the warnings in Revelation 2 and Revelation 3. As yourself “Am I in one of these types of churches? Am I one of the Jezebels, Balaams, Nicolataines, etc. type of people in these churches?” Go to the lists of sins and sinners all over the New Testament, and see if any of those things apply to you! Revelation 21:8 Revelation 22:15 2 Timothy 3:1-5 Romans 1:29-31 and many more! If the shoe fits, you don’t have to sit around and wear it! You can fall on your knees and beg God to take it off! But that is never going to happen so long as you are following false preachers that fit this description and sending them money!

As I have said many a time, there is no reason to follow these people. There are plenty of good pastors and preachers out there. The problem is that people have no interest in them. They want to be lied to and they want to be exploited and misled because the liars and exploiters ENTERTAIN them. They make them feel good and happy! That is what it is all about these days! Being entertained! Well are any of you aware of how Christians are being imprisoned, raped, tortured, and murdered all over the world right now? Do you realize that more Christians died for the faith in the 20th century than in all the previous centuries combined? So did any of you go up to one of those Christian woman in Sudan while she being raped, chopped with machetes, and whatever was left of her was then doused with gasoline and set on fire (I am not making this stuff up!) if she was having a good time? If she was having any fun? If the principles of prosperity that you learned out of some book that you bought at some conference were moving in her life? If she was speaking life into her situation and creating with the power of the tongue?

Somehow, I doubt it. I will tell you why … because you are following a form of false Christianity that is completely irrelevant to how the majority of Christians in the world are living today. Did you even know that there are more “third world” Christians now than western ones? The clear majority of Christians today are living in poverty, oppression, or both. And yet theirs is the kingdom of heaven, see Matthew 5:3!

To all of you people out there following this wickedness, I am warning you right now, come out of it, because otherwise your faith is a fraud, your religion is a lie, and that makes you both of those things plus many more.

Look, even if your pastor, your friends, your family, etc. are on the road to destruction, you don’t have to be a lemming like them and fall off the edge of the cliff. You can be saved. You can be redeemed. You can be spared the wrath of the Lamb! Don’t be like them! Be like Jesus Christ! Follow The Three Step Salvation Plan today!

  1. Thanks for the link Job.

She is a liar in saying that poverty is a curse. Tell that to Paul, Paula. Paul was risking his life day by day. He lived in scraps, was assaulted, and was constantly moving in continents in a manner of many months and years. Jesus Christ even had harsh rhetoric against the rich who were corrupt in their lives. Jesus himself wasn’t rich, but was born in a meanger and he worked as a carpenter.

Hey Job have you heard of Vision G12?

  3. Jonathan De Leon said

I don’t think that being rich is a bad thing.

  4. Being rich isn’t evil if it’s done the right way. The opposition comes when there are false preachers who say that being rich or being prosperous is a requirement of having salvation or having a sign of being in tuned with God. That’s the essence of prosperity gospel. P.eople of getting sick of this gospel.

I spoke to Matt Slick of when I called him on his radio show Faith and Reason and he said that it was okay to be rich. It is not money that is the root of all evil, but rather the love of it. That is what my pastor explained to me.

  7. Jonathan De Leon, please read 1 Timothy 6 in full. Change it to a translation like NASB or ESV if KJV is too hard to read. I just use KJV here because brother Job seems to utilize that translation mostly, so I default to it when in his house (on his blog).

When read in full you’ll see that it’s not being rich that is the evil. The evil is how one views and conducts themselves in regards to money and their relationship with the Lord. It does seem certainly that to be rich it’s harder to stay faithful and scripture repeatedly makes it clear that Christ has great rewards planned for those who were poor in this life and held to Him. A rich person can certainly believe on Christ in truth, but to build up rewards in Heaven they’ve got a lot of work to do.

  8. And when I say WORK I mean work for rewards as is mentioned in 1 Timothy 6, not work for salvation. The rich man’s work load is bigger in regards to what they do with their money, given the poor man has to be careful with their money to simply survive in this life.

Lets get back on topic. This video is so wrong. 7 places where Jesus shed his blood? This is crazy! ARGH! Gotta get the whole product. What!

    Timothy, Jonathan De Leon:

Where did I say that it was a sin to be rich? Joseph of Arimathea was rich! Lydia was rich! I only said that the prosperity doctrine and the Word of Faith doctrine are false. The Bible did not say that MONEY was the root of all evil. It says THE LOVE OF MONEY is the root of all evil.

Feel free to use any Bible version that you prefer or feel to be appropriate! Although I should point out that I am strongly biased against NIV and RSV and the paraphrases for varying reasons.

  12. 1 Timothy 6 covers thins well. Especially when you look at what is above and consider verse 5.

5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

When Jesus comes to judge, those who stick with people like Paula will have no excuse. I thank Him for getting me out of that kind of mess. Their fans hate us for our continued admonishment, but we must continue.

  13. Jonathan De Leon said

Hey Job Why are you biased against the NIV version? Do you think it is bad to apply the blood of Jesus to finances?

What is wrong with the New International Version (NIV) of the Bible?

  15. Jonathan De Leon said

  16. Jonathan De Leon, Sorry for butting in, but I noticed your questions.

The NIV is not a “word for word” translation. You have to recognize and understand, there are generally 2 types of translation of scripture:

    1 – Word for Word
2 – Capture the general idea expressed.

Translations such as KJV, NKJV, NASB, ESV and some others are all part of category 1. The NIV and some others are part of category 2. That creates issues for many right there. Many are not going to touch a Bible translation that is of category 2 and if you check you’ll find it’s well know NIV is of category 2. That is something translators of scripture decide before starting out, are they going to do word for word or convey the ideas expressed in the original Hebrew and Greek? The NIV translators decided they would make a category 2 translation.

And let’s just say not everybody agrees fully on the expressions given from the NIV. I’m not strongly against NIV, but I don’t use it very much in my study of scripture either, but I do reference it from time to time. With Mark 12:41, the NIV is about the only translation that notes it was the temple treasury that was spoken of there. Many pimps go to Mark 12 to get people’s literal last penny. But if you know the money was being given to the temple treasury, the high ranking Pharisees, not Jesus directly. And He was standing by watching it after noting how widows were being devoured, suddenly that passage of scripture takes on new meaning. While the widow had great faith, she was also being devoured. Paula White and others are devouring people.

With your finances, consider asking God for wisdom in all things without doubting and see James 4:13-17. Also again see 1 Timothy 6. Be content if your basic needs are met. Notice God had Paul send that message to debt slaves. He didn’t tell them “plead the blood of Jesus for freedom”. They were ultra-poor, debt slaves. He simply told them to be content with basic needs being met, period.

This phrase “plead the blood of Jesus on…” where do you find that mentioned in the Bible?

If you have need, certainly pray about it, we are to pray “give us this day our daily bread”, but be content if your basic needs are met. If you have food and a roof over your head, you are doing well in material things.

Scripture does not say every church member will be holder of a leadership post. Scripture notes a diversity of gifts and positions and 1 Timothy 3 shows only certain men are to be in church leadership roles. (Paula White is not a man among the other things she’s not and Huck is greedy for money and unable to teach, both disqualified for church leadership.)

Saint sare all priests with Jesus as our High Priest, but that does not mean everyone is to be in a position of church leadership. “Vision G12” departs from the truth of scripture.

  17. LorMarie said

So I guess God lied when He called Jesus His only begotten son? Or maybe God wasn’t heard correctly? Or maybe Paula White is too caught up in prosperity that she allowed someone on her show to make such a disgusting statement.

    • marti'lynn said

Hey, God is the truth, and God does not have the hearing problem. I think that some of us just for get the main message that jesus tried to teach and that was the comeing of Gods kingdom. And also what he tried to teach his desiples to find humiliy in them selves just wait and remember to have faith in The Father, The SON. And The hOLY SPIRIT! Jehovah Bless YOU!

  18. Jonathan De Leon said

Jesus commanded us to be make disciples of the nations. If I make disciples out of people then they are obligated to do the same with others. Anyone who makes a disciple out another is/has influenced that person right? Isn’t a leader one who influences? How can I make disciples of people without influencing them?

  19. Jonathan De Leon said

Basically what the Church that implements G12 is teaching is that a person makes disciples out of 12 people (we are not changing them God is). Then those 12, individually have their own 12 disciples and so on and so forth. This leads to rapid Church growth. But more importantly than rapid growth is the possibility of the disciples being trained. Because there are churches that gain many people, but those people do not stay because they were not consolidated.
Anyways those that are made disciples can now go make their own disciples.

  20. LorMarie – She didn’t just allow it, she cheered it like manna from Heaven! She 2nd everything Huck said and said much heresy herself. She was false teaching it herself right along with him. No broadcaster who loves the Lord Jesus in truth would have allowed them to air that garbage on a network they run.

Jonathan De Leon – If it is God doing the changing, who is any man to claim a quota? People leave because in many cases they were not the Lord’s to begin with.

    John 6:59-66 (King James Version)

59 These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.

60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?

61 When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?

62 What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?

63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.

65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

Neither you or the “G12” folks know how much the Lord will grow His church. It is not the work of man, so man can’t set a number. That whole thing while dressed up, is nothing but a will of man effort, not on solid scriptural foundation.

Did the Apostles of the Lord Jesus branch out to each reach 12? Did they instruct any saint they met to reach some set number? Looking at G12’s web site, it’s a mix of entertainment and marketing being used. It’s a branch of the failed Charles Finney “theology”.

  21. Kyle said

Well I guess we have some Pimp followers here. Sigh! And as for your NIV translation I’m sure you like to read the translations that De-Sex God too. Hmmm? Now as for beating up on the KJV this version has been around for over 400 years. Although not perfect, and none are, The KJV is quite a solid and time tested.

The quota claiming may be used to see
which people are in which cell group and to keep order. I am not exactly sure. But I know that these men seek to glorify God. And I know that we should test whether or not they are truly of God before we listen to what they say, but also they should be innocent before proven guilty (if that is the case).

I.C. did you go to their statement of faith? That is where you determine what they stand for not by judging externally.

“Neither you or the ‘G12’ folks know how much the Lord will grow His church.” -Indepent Conservative

You are right I don’t think that we as men can know exact numbers, but we will put our faith in God for growth.

“That whole thing while dressed up, is nothing but a will of man effort, not on solid scriptural foundation.” -I.C.

Maybe you should study more of what they believe before making such statements. I hope I do not sound angry I am just responding. May I do it with respect.

  24. Jonathan De Leon, I am very aware of the “cell” method used by many of the Word of Faith charismatic circles. It’s to keep the drones in order and continually paying. (Some cell churches don’t play on the money game as much as others, that varies. But in ones where they start going for money they can drain people very effectively with all the peer pressure of the cell to give more and hiking up the cost of outings.) The order desired is to do whatever the guy at the top says. And each “cell” has a leader below the upper leader. A pyramid scam of leaders of sorts.

I.C. did you go to their statement of faith? That is where you determine what they stand for not by judging externally

I saw their statement of faith and let’s just say some keep things very topical and short, so you don’t know till you dig deeper.

As I’ve said, I’ve seen this “cell” method before and it’s straight out of South America, but not straight out of scripture.

You are right I don’t think that we as men can know exact numbers, but we will put our faith in God for growth.

So are you part of G12? If you feel church growth is about faith in God, you know it’s wrong to preset numbers. If you really leave it up to the Lord you know better than to claim someone should be given a quota to reach X number of people and you’d leave it in the Lord’s hands for people to share the gospel as the Lord leads and the Lord grow things as He deems appropriate.

From my experiences with cell churches, I feel they trend towards being cults, given how they lock the members in a “cell”.

What G12 is doing is not in scripture. There was no “cell” to meet with individually and then a larger group (all the “cells” together) in a hierarchy of leaders from cell to top church elder.

The G12 small group approach is not an Independent Home Church model, it’s a small part of your larger assembly and the small group is used to peer pressure anyone from getting apart from anything that comes from the top. Like you said to “keep order”, that being the order desired by the man at the top, because the structure its self does not reflect anything in scripture. It’s like a mini-Roman-catholic setup within a single assembly.

Jonathan De Leon, just because I didn’t tell you I knew about cell structures does not mean I don’t know a good deal about them. If you’re not part of G12 and questioning becoming part of it, I’d advise avoiding it. They act like it’s from scripture, but nothing like it exists in scripture.

There is an in-depth warning about G12 here:
G12: Control, in Order to Better Reign – By an Ex-member of a G12 Cell Group

  25. Job, since you are in the ATL, if you ever want to know what this cell model mixed with prosperity doctrine looks like, you can always stop by Atlanta Metropolitan Cathedral. They call their group outings “Encounter”, that’s where they really like to get new people. So they can get them away from their normal comfort zone, into an isolated environment, where they can really brainwash you good! And they drain money from people like nobody’s business. I mean it’s horrific what me and my wife saw going on in there. And we could see through it WHILE WE WERE AT EDDIE LONG’S CLUB. So you KNOW it was bad.

You know JWs like to have smaller (mandatory) group meetings (twisted Bible studies) outside of their regular larger meetings too.

It’s just interesting how similar cult tactics are used.

  26. And Job, there’s another in Atlanta I’ve been to but forget their name. They used to meet on Sundays at the Cobb Galleria. That one used to play up that they are “multi-ethnic”. Man that place was scary, how they would try and pull me into their cult mess. And that was another that even while at Eddie’s club I could see through it. And eventually the Lord helped me see I had to run from Eddie too, but I didn’t see issues with him sooner because I was deluded and following false prosperity doctrine back then. Seeking the wrong things, on the wrong side of 1 Timothy 6.

But thank the Lord He’s helped me out of what I was in and helped me avoid other bad things like these “cell” churches.

If I am wrong may God show me with his word and forgive me. I will try to study more. If something contradicts scripture then it should be abandoned. But does this vision contradict scripture?

I am in the Vision G12. The Church that I attend implements this vision. I am the lead guitarist at this congregation. I have been to various Encounters and one Re-Encounter. I was in a cell group (headed by the pastor’s son who is a good friend of mine), but right now I am the leader of a cell group. I went through the G12 School of Leaders program. I am close to graduating. I have been to a G12 convention in Miami (I live in MN) and have met Pastor Cesar Castellanos (the man leading this vision).

I know the Pastor, Eliel Bracho, of my Church pretty well. He is an immigrant from Mexico who has a personal house cleaning job with his wife (his wife is in charge of the mini-business). He is not about taking peoples money. I have spent the night at his house on several occasions because I am good friends with his children.

Remember I am the leader of a cell group. I read the Bible. I enjoy websites like and to see what certain passages mean and for other stuff as well. I teach that Jesus is the only way to heaven. Works don’t save nor do they maintain salvation. To rely on them is to fall from grace. I basically teach what teaches, which is what the Bible teachs. Trinity, Hypostatic Union, etc. I have told them to read their and not just listen to me.

It is possible that there are Churches that are MISUSING the Vision. I have several G12 books written by Cesar Castellanos. Maybe should read straight into what he is teaching.

  29. Jonathan De Leon said

Kyle I think she is wrong if she really says that Jesus should not be prayed to.

    Does it give another gospel?

Consider these questions before condemning it.

  32. Jonathan De Leon said

The Church that I attend does not condemn other churches that are not in the vision. We recognize that they (the churches that adhere to scriptural doctrine not the false “churches” like the JWs, mormons, 7thday, etc.) have their own plan(s) or method(s) to gain people.

  33. Job said

The more you speak regarding my current city of residence, the more that I am extremely glad that you and your family left it behind! Needless to say, I have been invited to more than a few strange charismatic groups in the Cobb area, including a church run by Keith Butler’s son that also does the “cell group” thing. Back when I was still listening to all of those Word of Faith/prosperity preachers on TBN, Streaming Faith, etc. I wanted to check them out, but circumstances always prevented me from doing so. As it turns out, it was God protecting me and my family during a very vulnerable time!

  34. But does this vision contradict scripture?

YES! This whole “vision” is extra-biblical.

Kyle, these people who are into this “cell” mindset, that’s all they think and speak of most of the time, their life becomes the “cell”. He came here recruiting for this bogus “vision”.

Notice how he speaks about Cesar Castellanos and things other than scripture. But he’s asking what’s wrong with it…

And if you go to the G12Network YouTube page, guess who shows up at some G12 events? BENNY HINN!!!

Jonathan De Leon, scripture does not feature a network where you lead some little group and then answer to some higher up person as part of a greater group you meet with. What you’re doing simply is not in scripture and an effort off a made up “vision”. I could make up a “vision” and claim God told me to have people eat a plum once a day for good health. What’s unbiblical about it? Does scripture speak against eating plums? No, but it’s unbiblical because it’s something that falls outside of scripture. A made up “vision”.

  35. Our brothers at Let Us Reason Ministries have a warning about G12 titled: Glancing at the G12 Movement

  36. And Job, as much as I love GA, there have been certain benefits to leaving.

  37. Job said

    Jonathan De Leon:

My main problem with the NIV is that its treatment of spiritual things and difficult topics seem to be watered down and modern.

And as for applying the Blood of Jesus Christ to your finances? Can you provide a scripture in the Bible where it says to do that? The references that I have seen the Blood of Jesus Christ (and blood in general) have to do with propitiation, cleansing, giving eternal life, dealing with sin, etc. The topics that pertain to gaining financial increase (all of whom are in the Old Testament by the way!) say that you receive those things through obedience to the law, being kind and merciful to the poor, and being prudent and honest in your business and personal dealings.

This is probably the biggest problem with false preachers. Now what false religions mainly do is give you just enough of the truth to make the lie believable. That is why you hear all of these religious pluralists like George Bush claim “all religions have the same core beliefs and values and all lead to the same God.” But the truth is that what these false religions have done is adopt just enough of God’s righteousness to make it believable and then replaced everything else with a lie. Read Romans 1:18-32.

But false preachers, their tactic is more subtle. They preach from the Bible, sure, but they switch things around. They change the context. That makes it really easy to deceive Christians that rarely read their Bible, or only read it in a superficial manner i.e. devotional reading. And a clear case is this “applying the Blood of Jesus Christ to your finances.” It is taking a spiritual principle that is meant for one area: salvation and justification, and applying it to another, finances.

Let me use an example. Say you have a building or maintenance project: you have to put together a bicycle, fix a kitchen faucet, install a small appliance or piece of furniture, tinker around with your car, etc. You know, routine stuff. But you are not exactly a professional handyman or mechanic, or not even an intuitive Mr. Fixit concerning such ventures so you can only succeed if you have a set of detailed instructions that you must follow carefully (which describes me!).

So you have all of your parts … the panels and tubing and whatever, plus all of your screws and nails and fasteners, and all of your tools … hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc. Now if you follow the instructions diligently, ultimately you will succeed in your project, even if you must suffer through a few failed attempts and have start over (again which often describes me). But if you try to insert a tube where it calls for a board, if you try to use a fastener pin where it calls for a screw, or if you attempt to use a wrench where a hacksaw is appropriate, your project will be ruined, and you could destroy what you are trying to build and even seriously injure yourself.

And that is what these preachers are doing when they are taking the words of Jesus Christ and the teachings of the Bible outside of their contexts, apart from their literary narratives and intended meanings, and apply them in the wrong spiritual area. The best example of this that I have on this site comes from – you guessed it – Paula White! See the link below. It contains a video where Paula White takes a few selected verses from Paul out of context and assembles them together in a sermon to claim that Paul was a prosperity preacher! The real Paul was a man who suffered through great persecution, deprivation, and want. The real Paul gave up the privileged life of a member of the Jerusalem religious elite (and also the even greater benefits of Roman citizenship) to be a traveling proclaimer of an illegal, hated religion that many saw as a dangerous cult because its founder had been executed by Rome on charges of sedition. Paul went from having a privileged position in both Jewish religious and Roman secular life to being an enemy that the Jews tried to kill and that the Romans did kill.

Paula White’s sermon below is an excellent example of “using a monkeywrench as a screwdriver” approach to scripture, taking selected verses apart from their place in Biblical revelation and using it to create your own doctrine. I hope that you will view it and realize the dangers of viewing the Blood of Jesus Christ in a context apart from paying the debt of your sin.

Incidentally, please study the Book of Hebrews, in its entirety, to understand the real purpose of the Blood of Jesus Christ. It would be helpful to use a Bible that does scripture correlations, because it would cross reference the scriptures in Hebrews with the ones in the Old Testament to illustrate how the work of Jesus Christ fulfilled the temple rituals and sacrifices. That would definitely show you that the Blood of Jesus Christ was actually applied once for your salvation, and is not to be referenced verbally on a continuous basis for your protection, finances, etc. A lot of these prosperity/Word of Faith rituals … they really do resemble the practices of other religions … voodoo, santeria, wicca, you name it. What these people are doing is taking the concepts from those pagan and animist traditions and overlaying them with Bible verses and principles. The prayer cloths and the anointed oil and the pebbles from some wall or road in Jerusalem and the little bracelets and medallions that a lot of these evangelists sell … I really don’t see a difference. The bottom line is that there is NOTHING in the New Testament that justifies ANY of it. Sure, people passed around the cloths that Paul used to wipe his sweat and were healed, and there are plenty of references to anointing with oil. But the Bible does not say to turn that stuff into fetishes.

What we Christians need to do is focus first on salvation, second on a full understanding of the Word of God, and third on living a life of obedience to that Word of God. When we do those things, then God will add everything else to that as He sees fit. Jesus Christ said so Himself. He did not say “drink My Blood and eat My Flesh to the benefit of your finances.” He said “drink My Blood and eat My Flesh for eternal life”! That is in the Gospel of John. In Matthew 6 and various other places, Jesus Christ said that if God takes care of the grass in the field and the sparrows, how much more will He take care of us, so we are not to even have any thought of our financial matters! Things like this are why we have to read the Bible fully and in context, and not trust preachers that weave and spin lies of deceit and distortion that oppose Biblical revelation.

Ic said that Benny Hinn is part of this. Brother, listen to me. LEAVE! GO! RUN! I say this not in a condescending manner but we here were once part of the Charismatic, Prosperity, Church Building mindset. It’s cultish. Salvation has nothing to do with prosperity – NOTHING! Also, look at this link to IC’s site

China is on the side of radical Islamist because of their desire for oil and their hatred towards Christianity. China has a hand in killing thousands of Sudanese Christians. Where is the outrage from the TBN crowds- NOTHING! Silence. Want to know why? Paul Crouch the head of TBN has been getting into the China “market” for some time now. Well, that’s a good thing right? No! The TBN message does not bother nor intimidate the Chinese for obvious reasons. Yet, real Chinese Christians are being jailed and killed over in China for the real Gospel message.

Jonathan De Leon, you have to recognize that these movements are all part of the Anti-Christ. Real salvation has nothing to do with mega-churches, Prosperity Gospel, hyper charismatic, etc, etc.

Also, one last thing. Never fall for Armenianism. Once you understand Election all the other afore mentioned things become plain as day as to why they are wrong.

I believe that Jesus is the One and Only true Son of God. He is God in the flesh. The Second Person of the Trinity. He has two natures: 100% man and 100% divine; Hypostatic Union (not half and half). He was made a little lower than the angels and under the law to die for us on the cross. The penalty for sins was on the cross (NOT in hell). He rose three days later in the same body he died in. Jesus is the only way to heaven. Salvation is through faith in him NOT WORKS EVER.

Job I believe these things. This is the truth. Will implementing the Vision to gain members condemn me(I ask this sincerely not out of sarcasm and disrespect)? I think I should study more of the Vision see whether or not it is from God.

We recognize that they (referring to the true churches ones that believe the essential doctrines; not the false groups like the JWs, mormons etc.) may have their own techniques at winning people. And that they are good churches as well.

You asked him about G12, because you wanted to introduce him to it if he had no knowledge of it. You were doing a mild form of recruiting. Your bunch is predatory in nature. You’re so brainwashed in it, you recruit for it even when you don’t recognize that you are.

Nobody here comes lauding the assembly they are with. We speak of scripture, but you’ve not only started the statements here about G12, but have worked pretty hard to try and have the last word about it as well.

I’m sure Benny Hinn while not claiming to be a member of G12, just an affiliate, could write a review for your bunch too. I’ve asked you several things about your bunch in comparison with scripture and you’ve found neat means to obfuscate.

I don’t care what Matt Slick says. I’ve researched your group myself and have my own Bible. Scripture, not contrived “visions” is my final authority, the SURE WORD OF GOD.

2 Peter 1:16-21 (King James Version)

16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.

19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Your contrived schemes to “grow the church” are devoid of leaving it to the Lord. You’ve gone off into a made up “vision” to feel it will come of your will while acting like you’re leaving it to God. Your “take the nations for Christ” effort has no foundation. The only “taking of nations” noted in scripture is the activity done by the Anti-Christ as he will be allowed to dupe the world.

Encountering G12 – Analyzing the “Cellular Vision” of César Castellanos

    By Ricardo Becerra
Translated and adapted by Paul Carden
First published in the Spring 2007 Journal, Midwest Christian Outreach. Posted at Apologetics Index by permission.

At first glance, the G12 story both amazes and inspires: The disheartened former pastor of a tiny congregation in South America receives a miraculous call from God to evangelize and disciple the world. In the years that follow, ministries based on his model sprout on five continents as churches large and small adopt the cellular vision of multiplication through the government of 12. To the masses being swept up in its momentum, the movement appears divinely ordained — and virtually unstoppable.

But to fully appreciate the impact of G12, consider this: For over six years we have received cries for help from pastors and Christian laypeople across Latin America who have paid dearly for their churches’ adoption of the G12 model. Some have had their faith ruined or thrown into confusion; others have suffered psychological damage. Churches and families have been torn asunder, and entire denominations have been thrown into upheaval.

Lest there be any doubt, we must begin by stating clearly that evangelism, discipleship, and personal sanctification are given tremendous importance in Scripture and are too often (and easily) neglected by evangelical churches. But when any of these is taken to unbiblical extremes, it can provide a pretext for manipulation and abuse.

The following overview and analysis are based on the writings of the movement’s founder, Cesar Castellanos Dominguez, and on interviews with people from a variety of churches and denominations who have taken part in G12 Encounters in Colombia and six other countries of North, Central, and South America. It is not meant to be exhaustive.

In Part 1, we offer a simple description of how G12 operates. In Part 2 [not yet published], we will analyze some of the movement’s problematic doctrines and practices in the light of Scripture.

Any Christian that reads even a little more of that and has a good handle on scripture can see easily that César Castellanos is teaching another gospel.

And Jonathan De Leon, that talk about a Christian having a “generational curse”… Oldest LIE in the book of false doctrines. Saints are not under ANY CURSE.

    G12 needs a dose of G3, Galatians 3.

  47. Jonathan De Leon said

“You asked him about G12, because you wanted to introduce him to it if he had no knowledge of it. You were doing a mild form of recruiting. Your bunch is predatory in nature.”

How do you know that those were my intentions? Now you are stereotyping. You do not know me. I am an 18 year who is concerned with not falling into the wrong paths.

  48. I know you’re pretty well brain washed.

You do not know me. I am an 18 year who is concerned with not falling into the wrong paths.

You’ve already fallen into one and need to get out of it, without delay.

So what are your thoughts about Benny Hinn?

  49. Encountering G12 – The Encounter

    Beginning of the Encounter

Encounter participants are not to be told where the retreat will take place. (Castellanos notes that “It is peferable to be away from the city.” ) Participants are transported to the event on Friday afternoon and arrive at the retreat site only after sundown. Upon arriving, Encounter participants are instructed by their leaders to surrender their wristwatches, cell phones, cameras, video recorders, etc. with the explanation that those devices could be a distraction. What if one changes one’s mind? Castellanos makes it clear that “no one may leave before it ends.” Even if someone should resolve to go home, they often cannot because they have no idea where they are. (We even have reports of youth Encounters at which the organizers padlocked the doors in order to prevent anyone from leaving.)

Yea that’s how the early church used to do it and we see that type of thing all over scripture…NOT!

  50. Another of César Castellanos’ false teachings.

    Encountering G12 – The Encounter

    Immersed in His Spirit

Once participants have been delivered from their demons, they are prepared to receive the filling of the Holy Spirit with the sign of speaking in tongues. Taking interpretive liberties with the Scriptures, Castellanos says:

It is important to note the original order [of the signs Jesus describes in Mark 16:17]. In order to speak in tongues freely, people must first have curses in their lives broken and rebuke all demonic influences in the name of Jesus. This is exactly what we do in our Encounters.

As a research group of the Assemblies of God in Cuba observed, “To achieve this objective, the [Encounter] guides hold forth in lengthy prayers, manifestations of ecstasy, and neurolinguistic manipulation all so that the participants will speak in tongues. The pressure is such that many pretend out of fear that others in the group will look down on them. Prayer with laying on of hands, along with shoves so that people will fall on the floor ‘under the power of the Spirit’ is a given.”

Jonathan De Leon, you are in need of better teaching.

    Learn About the Holy Spirit

    Study all of that.

What César Castellanos is doing is a terrible abuse.

Stand in the middle of a “circle” Look around at all the traditions, religions, cultures, thoughts of people. There are so many “views”. What “view” is the right one. Didn’t Jesus say “There are many rooms in my fathers mansion” (house) Meaning there are many “views”. The followers of Jesus were told that Jesus was going to go make another “room” for the followers of Jesus and the “way” Jesus offered.

I think it is so wrong to be critical of any person trying to understand and share ideas about Jesus. As long as anyone is preaching Jesus and sharing is this not good?
What they understand about what Jesus said or did is their understanding and their intentions of good will. No person really knows the complete truth here on earth we only have a handful of puzzle pieces to understand the will of God and what Jesus was teaching. Can’t it be okay without someone attacking someone and trying to force anotehr to “see” it just their way.

There is nothing worse than a “holy roller” as my father used to say trying to force feed you their idea of what Jesus was teaching. Isn’t this the same as the antics of the hysterical religious Moslems that will kill you if you don’t pray and live the way they see one should live. This of course is not true of all Moslems I am speaking about the radical, and the radical of any sect/religion or thought.

God is about freedom of thought and freely coming to God through any teaching actually. Those that come to God through Jesus need to read what Jesus was teaching and apply it to their lives or find another way of coming to God. Jesus taught that “whoever is without sin cast the first stone” What does this mean? Worry about yourself and how you live your life and don’t be condemning or critical of others. Rejoice and be at peace that people are reaching for God. The road is long and winding and it seems there are steps we all take on our way to being enlightened. We might step into mud or walk into walls but we go the course/path and with each turn learn more and get closer to merging into the love and light of God.

  57. Just a Thought said

Just a thought about the new “prosperity preaching” that is really not new at all it just has a bigger media resource now days.
The Bible IS the source of true wealth in every area of our life, but not the way they preach it.
For instance, Proverbs is FULL of principles of diligence, discernment, hard work, respect, responsibility, compassion, fairness, and others that when applied to a business environment either through a persons own business or through the employment of another generally do create favorable material conditions on a continent like North America, especially in the U.S. Then there are warnings about foolish fiscal decisions a man/woman can make, such as “the debtor in enslaved to the lender” or that a barn with no oxen stays clean, but it also brings to income. What I want to know is if these people care so much about helping people become prosperous, why are they not teaching THOSE scriptures – in context? Why are they not mentioning that Christians in our country are in bondage financially because of their disobedience to the plan laid out in God’s word. Any one born in this country is tremendously blessed just for having been born here, only for the fact that as of now, they cannot be legally killed for worshiping God in every area of their life and every day of their life, not just on Sundays and not just to “name it and claim it”

Why not face the bigger issue and the true wealth that is being forfeited by our materialism and lack of obedience – the wealth of saving souls and exampling the intended lifestyle God laid out to be married to “one” spouse, to raise godly children with a foundation of the knowledge of the Word of God dependent upon the Holy Spirit to interpret it in our hearts and bring us into agreement as we earnestly seek His face?

Instead, we have neglected the charge that “to whom much is given, much is required” and we have squandered our privileges on our selfish pleasures and not our given purpose.

To what end, I might add? A local Sunday School in our area did an anonymous survey of 40 couple’s total debt outside their mortgage, and found that “outside their mortgage” they had $800k worth of debt between them! For what?? Missions? Bibles? Community Ministry? Feeding the hungry? NO! For SUVs, clothes, restaurants, boats, recreation vehicles, etc., etc. All it takes is a little research and we find that this is not an atypical group. This is Average.

Not that the things themselves are a sin, but let’s get real here. If we have to finance our recreation at the cost of enslaving ourselves to a lender, who determines how much we must pay, which determines how much we must work, which determines how much time we have to spend with our loved ones (you know like the children that parents were charged with raising, not the schools or the
Sunday School teachers??), which further determines how much time and money we can invest in ministry outside of that – is it being a good steward?? Then doesn’t that make it wrong? And these “prosperity teachers” are not teaching obedience to the word of God by bringing ourselves under discipline like Paul taught. They are further enslaving people with the message that it is okay to remain in the state of mind and lifestyle you are in, so long as you claim what you want and donate to their telethon!

I pray that the eyes of the hearts of God’s people would be opened that they would know the hope to which we’re called that we would know the riches of HIS glory and the greatness of His power. There is so much more wealth in being obedient with a little then being self-serving with abundance. We are in a position in our country because of the freedoms we are barely hanging on to, to create wealth through OBEDIENCE, not through throwing a tantrum at the alter to “claim” what is “ours!” None of it is “ours” – all the wealth God allows us to possess in this life is to be used to serve others in a greater capacity to expand the kingdom in the next!

We have one hope for ourselves and our children – that if God’s people would HUMBLE THEMSELVES AND PRAY AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS, THEN HE WILL HEAR THEIR PRAYER AND HEAL THEIR LAND.

Just the past two years God has opened my eyes to what GRACE truly is. Paul’s writings tells us that our faith should be in what Jesus accomplished on the Cross and why His resurrection is paramount to our faith. If you read Paul’s writings (Romans-Philemon) he makes it clear that the law never saved anyone before the cross and it doesnt save anyone afterwards. He never instructs the Body of Christ to tithe, to baptize, to whore the Gospel for money, to compromise what believe for physical things etc. As the truth of the Gospel of Grace overtakes me, I am so repulsed by these so called teachers who if you notice must quote from the OT (which includes the Gospels) in order to support their schemes to whore the beautiful offering of God’s grace. It is not for sale and neither is God. I watch these “Women of God” who wear enough makeup for 12 people, have plastic surgery, wear more jewelry than the average non believer holler and shout and make unbiblical statements over tv while unknowing people holler AMEN. Paula preached the power of God but that same power couldnt keep her marriage together? Please. I’ve also noticed that Juanita Bynum has calmed herself down and after being absent from The Word Channels lineup for sometime now appears on Bridget Hilliards show that fills that slot now. No more sweating and hollering and God says this from Isaiah to the Body of Christ now nonsense. I noticed that Paula and other Word/Faith have a very hard time using any of Pauls writings to support their notions that yes the Blood of Jesus saves and redeems us f/the curse yet come right out and tell people if they dont do this or that they will be cursed based on Malachi? That poor widow woman in I Kings has gotten so badly warped by Word Faith the whole point of what Elijah did gets totally missed. It was not about her giving him everything and getting oil in return which is the basis for Oral Robert’s cultish teaching of seed time harvest. Jesus told us the point in the Gospel. Israel had many widows that Elijah could have been directed too but because of their unbelief/rejection of God, God directed Elijah to a “Gentile” widow. If her blessing was in the physical oil, why does the Bible then tell us her son died? The blessing was that this Gentile had more faith than Israel and because of that her child was resurrected. Hence we Gentiles who are saved and are now a member of the Body of Christ will be resurrected because of our faith. Not the law, or passover(Paula’s latest rejection of the work of the Cross with Munsey) or feast offerings or salt offerings(as Hagee uses to get donations).. If our faith is not in the finished work of the Christ it is anathema. The whoring of God’s immeasurable Grace is sickening and poisonous. I’ve never felt a pull to Paula or many of cohorts. I did watch Fred Price for awhile but even then sensed in the Spirit something was off. It was not until I read Paul’s writings that I started to get it………..Salvation is free. Grace to live a life led by the Holy Spirit is free. Eternal life is free because Jesus paid the cost. Do not fall for anything that demotes the Cross. Joel Olsteen, Creflo Dollar, Fred Price, Paula,Joyce Meyer at times,John Hagee are just examples. Listen to them and read Paul. It wont corroborate what they teach. Read Romans and see where Paul states the Law saved and will not save anyone. Ever wonder why so many of them brag about having no debt, huge homes etc, but beg you to give to keep them on the air? Paul’s desire was to preach the Gospel to everyone and he refused offerings at times so that his listeners would not reject the Gospel suspecting he was only after money. When’s the last time you’ve heard an evangelist say that? Why dont they sell their mansions, cars, planes to stay on the air if the preaching the Gospel is their sole desire??? Makes you think.

Your attacks must be fair. I don’t like Paula or Larry. They are both way off base in their teachings. But to take snipets and then make a case for error is not fair.

    1. Larry said Jesus is not the only begotten Son of God. He also said that Jesus is the first born of many brethren. That’s only to say that Jesus was the first born of God and there are many that have followed being born again of the Holy Spirit. All who are born of the Spirit are born of God. He was not denying the divinity of Jesus or saying He’s not our Redeemer; just that He was the “first born” not the only one born.

Rom. 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

    2. He also said that Jesus said don’t pray to me. He was correct. Jesus said that in that day you will ask me nothing. But you will PRAY TO THE FATHER IN MY NAME.

John 16:23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

  63. Paula White is a heretic and has been a heretic for a long, long, long time. This is nothing new for her. She is in the company of many evil and wicked persons who have crept into the Church. Truly, we are in the last days that The LORD Jesus warned us about.

Hi, I came across this page when I was searching for information on G12. I haven’t ready through all the comments yet and I do see that it’s been more than three years ago since the last reply.
Anyway, if someone reads, G12 is very unbiblical, it’s based on gnostic ideas put together with catholicism and a whole lot of faith movement. I’ve been in the top cell group of a quite big G12-church in Europe for many years. I went to many encounter’s myself but also taught in encounter’s and held encounter’s. I went through the whole school of leaders and I even taught on all three levels. I had a cellgroup for many many years. I was zealous for G12. The pastor’s of the church I went to are very close to Cesar and Claudia Castellanos. They belong to CEsar’s international group of twelve. A big bunch from the church go to the yearly conference in Bogota every year. So, I’ve been involved in G12 for a long time. But I came to the conclusion earlier this year that G12 is unbiblical. It creates a hierarchical structure. The whole 12-thing is unsound.
There is A LOT to say about G12 and I’m so glad that Jesus led me out from this church. Today, I feel free and glad (although it wasn’t that easy to leave, at all). Since I left, no one from the church has called me (and I was in the youthpastor’s cellgroup, I was one of the leaders of many youth’s, but no one). I was prepared for it, so I’m not bitter or disappointed at any man.

I can surely say that if your pastor really is in to G12, you too will get brainwashed. G12 robs you on your relationship with God.
Visit and you will find a lot of information on G12. Everyone leaving a G12-church testifies about the exact same experience!

God bless you, and if someone tries to snear you into a G12-church, RUN!

I read with utter dismay @ the amount of religious wrangling going on here. Episcopacy, Presbyterianism, Congregationalism and Methodism are all principles of Church government which are not explicitly endorsed in the Bible. So what if G12, D12, P12 and 5×5 are used to govern churches now? LOVE.
