Jesus Christ Is Lord

That every knee should bow and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father!

How NOT To Defend Free Will Christianity!

Even if I ultimately reject the doctrines of predestination, election, and partial atonement to go with Jacobus Arminus, it will not be because of clumsy arguments like these.

  1. When someone today tries to compare the church or even worse attempts to compare ALMIGHTY GOD to a business, you know it’s going to be a bad analogy. Christ did it in some parables, but He who came from Heaven can explain the Kingdom of Heaven in any terms he desires. When I start down that path (trying to compare godly things to earthly business affairs) I stop myself, because I know I’m about to make a bad statement, unless I’m quoting directly from when Christ did it in scripture.

No earthly employer knows who he’s going to hire before the interview. You can’t compare a business employer to this:
    Isaiah 46:9-11 (King James Version)

9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,

10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

11 Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.

When men try and place God’s affairs on the level of men, it just comes out bad.

While I disagree with Arminus, I’ve never got a problem watching someone make his case. For those who want to see why Predestination exists, yet you are fully responsible for your actions, see this video series, especially part 1. Parts 2 and 3 simply knock a ball further out the park that part 1 has already knocked out the park.

    Predestination 1

    Predestination 2

    Predestination 3

Some of us may take opposing views on election, but let none of us oppose that Jesus is Lord.
