Luke 10:19 What Power And Authority Over Satan Means

Posted by Job on June 28, 2007

Today’s Broadcast When the Spirit Speaks Listen Online Podcast

BIBLE MEDITATION: “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT: A police officer weighing 160 pounds may effectively stand before a tanker truck and, with an uplifted hand, say, “Stop, in the name of the law.” The police officer certainly couldn’t stop the truck with his physical force. He is appealing to an authority greater than himself — the law — to back him up. Your authority over Satan is the same way. Your authority does not rest in your strength. You cannot overcome Satan with your power but rather with Kingdom Authority from God. And you have that as a child of the King. You have His authority to overcome every attack of Satan.

ACTION POINT: Sing of the power of the Lord. Find a hymnal and sing or meditate on the verses of “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God.” Visit Love Worth Finding Ministries

we do have power over the enemy. God is powerful in us we can do all things through christ who strengthens us. i love you my brothers stay strong and fight off the evil attacks of the enemy in our home, church all over. keep going to the lord returns. there is so much peace with God, but satan is the biggest deciever of them all we can overcome because we have the power and authority to do so. Today, I was being attacked in my very own home but the power of God is so strong that no weapon that form against thee shall prosper. Those who hope in the lord shall renew their strenght they will soar on wings like eagles they will run and not grow weary they will walk and not be faint. i encourage all my brothers to take this to heart … I love all you guys and we will be in the kingdom together forever. Love you love you.. god bless you brothers and sisters

Amen to that. Thank you for reminding us of the promises that God has made to us his children. We are truly mighty people of valour. Our God is awesome and just and he has promised he will never leave us nor forsake us. Stay strong my brothers and sisters in Christ, remember he is the vine and we are the branches. Have a blessed day and remember in Christ we can do all things. God bless you all. Keep up the good work.
