Would You Leave Your Church Over This (Michael Pitts And Cornerstone Church)?

See link here. I have to admit, they do not seem to have much on this guy in the secular sense. If it were a secular organization, I would have no problem still supporting this fellow if he was effective. But Christians are supposed to apply Biblical standards. If the pastor were to stand up, admit his sins, and ask God and his church for forgiveness, then at least it would be a decision worth praying over (although truthfully we are to pray over all our decisions, no matter what they are or how small or large it seems). Then again, Michael Pitts is among those who promote the anti – biblical “Kingdom Living” doctrine. So, instead of asking “would you leave your church over this”, one should ask “why would anyone who loves God and His Word have been following this guy in the first place.”So the answer is: if the guy is a real preacher who is doing his best to preach the true gospel, then you should be willing to forgive and endure his faults. If the guy is not even trying to preach the true gospel, then he should be abandoned even if his integrity is otherwise impeccable. God will forgive flaws in character, He will not forgive those who purposefully profane doctrine and teach lies.
