T.D. Jakes Exposed For The Heretical Liar That He Is And What It Means For The Church

Posted by Job on January 26, 2012

All right folks. I said that I was going to give this online discernment ministry thing up. The first reason was that there were too many false teachers and doctrines to keep track of. The second reason was that based on my interactions with those following these false preachers even after their unBiblical scandalous doctrines and behavior had been exposed that folks were going to believe what they choose to believe anyway. The third was that I had felt that I had adequately addressed the issue with the 3 years of blogging that I did dedicate to the topic. The fourth was that I felt that the best way to combat error was with the truth, so I decided to take this site in a more exegetical direction. And the last of those was also chosen for practical reasons: I no longer have the time to answer comments and interact with people that I did back when I made exposing false teachers so writing about scripture’s meaning and application seemed to be a superior use of time (and yes I do need to get back to writing about the Bible).

But the T.D. Jakes issue is timely right now due to Jakes’ recent appearance at a respected evangelical event of some estimation where he was “interviewed” by Mark Driscoll, where the topic of Jakes’ rejection of the Holy Trinity was discussed. Now I don’t mean to attack anybody, but one Christian blogger quickly proclaimed Jakes’s statement satisfies me that he is a Trinitarian and that we should celebrate that Jakes has joined the Trinitarian camp. (Which, er, makes all his time as a false preaching modalist heretic and the people that he deceived during that time “ok” I guess. The truth is that at best he was an unregenerate false teacher when he was in the pulpit before, and even if he believes in the Holy Trinity NOW and is born again NOW, he has no business in the pulpit. His previous experience and service is worthless, and he needs to take his place in the pews learning from an actual Christian pastor. Otherwise, we can go get Jewish rabbis, Catholic priests, Buddhist monks, Muslim imams, and liberal “Christians” who perform homosexual “marriage” ceremonies and put them into the pulpit immediately after they say a salvation prayer.)

Another Christian blogger made a similar – though more guarded – statement: “By far, the session that was most anticipated was the one in which T. D. Jakes was asked to clarify his position on the Trinity. Thankfully, he did so – though perhaps not in a way that would satisfy all of his critics. I believe we should celebrate his affirmation of the truth that there is one God in three Persons.”

The problem with doing so: Jakes own words on the Holy Trinity in the past and present. Now, here is a link to the transcript of the Elephant Room session, judge Jakes for yourself. But what follows is MY evaluation.

Part 1: I used to follow T.D. Jakes. Now … not so much. Without calling him a liar (while actually, you know, calling him a liar) allow me to propose that just because Jakes says something does not make it so. So … just because Jakes says that he believes “One God three Persons” DOES NOT MEAN that we should take it at face value. Jakes has been “less than forthcoming” on many issues in the past, so he does not deserve the benefit of the doubt. Just because Jakes is in the pulpit and calls himself a Christian does not mean that we should believe what he says. So no, listening to what he says and being “satisfied” requires a presumption that he is telling the truth, a presumption that he does not merit. Does that sound harsh, the bitter words of someone who has “church hurt” as it is called? Well keep reading.

Now in one context I can be SYMPATHETIC to Jakes’ views because I don’t like the wording or terminology used by the Cappadocian fathers myself. But this unease with the Cappadocian formulation needs to be addressed by someone other than Jakes. Why? Because Jakes has been known to be less than honest with the truth, and not merely on this issue. Recall that when Jakes was first challenged on the Trinity doctrine by Christianity Today, he submitted a modalist doctrinal statement that he insisted be accepted as Trinitarian!

Do not take my word on this: another ministry came to the same conclusion, that Jakes was dishonestly trying to pass off modalist heresy for orthodoxy. When challenged on it, he dissembled, claiming that his views on the Trinity were adapting and growing, that he was studying and learning more about it, and how Christians need to stop all this infighting and arguing about such things as minor differences in phraseology and get to the weightier matters of the kingdom, and such excuses for retaining and defending heresy as “these things are too mysterious to be comprehended or explained.” Jakes even resorted to race-baiting, stating “Christians will never agree on every theological issue any more than the colors of our skin will all suddenly match.” So, if Jakes was a liar and a demagogue on this Trinity issue in the past, why should we presume that he is any different now? What has changed to make us presume that Jakes has changed? Especially since he is still preaching heresies in other areas, such as the prosperity doctrine and trying to pass off ecstatic babbling done by mystics in many false religions as “speaking in tongues”?

Part II: From the transcript, it really does appear as if Jakes is fine with “persons” in his Trinitarian statement so long as “persons” is synonymous with “manifestations.” Basically, he says, “well, so long as I can call a ‘person’ a ‘manifestation’ then I am Trinitarian.” He says “My doctrinal statement is no different from yours except the word” – and Driscoll finishes his thought – “manifestations.” What he says next is a amazing.

“Manifest instead of persons. Which you describe as modalist, but I describe it as Pauline. When I read…let me show you what I’m talking about…when I read I Timothy 3:16 – I didn’t create this, Paul did.” And then he goes onto the time-honored modalist lying techniques from the pit of hell: “I think it’s important that we realize that our God is beyond our intellect. And if you can define Him and completely describe Him and say you are the end-all definition of who God is, then He ceases to be God. Because the reason Paul says it is a mystery, is that we deify the fact that God does things that don’t fit our formulas. And because people’s formulas and understandings of a description of an unbiblical God did doesn’t make them demonic.”

Let us go to his abuse of I Timothy 3:16. Yes, the King James Version that many oneness pentecostal liars claim is the only translation – and I used to be KJV-Only myself, and still today am KJV-Preferred, but not because of the translation itself but the texts used to produce the translation, as I believe text criticism used to produce the new manuscripts is a false science – reads “manifest” as its rendering of the Greek word  phaneroō. But other versions translate phaneroō to be “appeared” and “revealed!”

Another thing: phaneroō’s definitions: “to make manifest or visible or known what has been hidden or unknown, to manifest, whether by words, or deeds, or in any other way.”  So, rather than being a “mode” or “state” or “relationship” after the doctrines of the oneness heretics (for example, as water has a liquid, solid and gas manifestation as water, ice and vapor) phaneroō’ in this context merely meant how God was shown to men! That is revelation, after the same manner that the Greek word apokalypsis was used in Revelation 1:1. Paul could have just as easily used apokalypsis instead of phaneroō!

Further, according to the definition, what can phaneroō “reveal” or “manifest”? A PERSON! It is right here in definition 1d in a common Bible lexicon placed online via BlueletterBible.com:

1) to make manifest or visible or known what has been hidden or unknown, to manifest, whether by words, or deeds, or in any other way

a) make actual and visible, realised

b) to make known by teaching

c) to become manifest, be made known

d) of a person

1) expose to view, make manifest, to show one’s self, appear

e) to become known, to be plainly recognised, thoroughly understood

1) who and what one is

Jakes is exposed as a liar by exegesis of the very text that he used to claim that he was telling the truth! In this Jakes fulfilled the prophecy in Psalm 10:2, which reads “The wicked in [his] pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.”

Now the dictionary entry makes the Cappadocian utilization of “Person” more justifiable in my mind and it who knows, the Cappadocian fathers might have relied heavily on 1 Timothy 3:16 when they formulated their Trinity doctrine (which would make Jakes’ abuse of that text still more ironic) because that text refers to the revelation of the Person of Jesus Christ and not the mere exhibition of a mode of existence or relationship (and moreover this revelation refers to Christ’s existence being shown to the world; for phaneroō to have the meaning that Jakes claims that it does, THE TERM WOULD HAVE TO REFER TO HIS INCARNATION IN THE WOMB OF MARY, NOT HIS EXISTENCE AND WORKS BEING WITNESSED BY MEN, WHICH IS THE TRUE CONTEXT OF 1 Peter 3:16 AS WELL AS REVELATION 1:1, WHICH AGAIN IS WHY APOKALYPSIS COULD EASILY HAVE BEEN USED INSTEAD) but I confess to still uneasy with it. But the difference between me and Jakes is that JAKES IS LYING. That is the bottom line.

But you know what? This is not truly about Jakes anyway. The reason is that anyone who goes and clicks on the T.D. Jakes category on this blog will know why no legitimate Christian pastor should touch Jakes with a 10 foot pole, unless that pastor has been instructed by God to smite Jakes with it. Instead, it is about the people that are embracing him. It is one thing for the decadent TBN (who has their own tag) Pentecostal abomination to embrace Jakes, and please recall that it was TBN who made Jakes into an international figure. TBN is run by a man who paid off a TBN employee with whom he had a homosexual encounter with, and has since been sued by another man making the same charges. These charges and the many other scandals are commonly known by those who patronize that network anyway and … well now you see why I felt that there were better uses of my time than exposing people who have already been exposed because people simply do not care!

But now, TD Jakes is being embraced by the “more respectable” corners of evangelical Christianity as represented by (ironically named) The Gospel Coalition, which includes some of the most prominent pastors and theologians in evangelical Christianity today. Now of course, there was significant “debate” over inviting Jakes. The fears of those objecting were quite founded, as it resulted in Mark Driscoll, himself a very troubling personality, doing very much to rehabilitate Jakes, largely because of Driscoll’s own desire to push his false anti-cessationist doctrines into the Reformed/Calvinistic evangelical movement. Also, those who would have challenged Jakes rather than accommodate him were not allowed to participate.  But the fact that there was even a debate at all shows how far gone the evangelical landscape is! Having Jakes in the Elephant Room should have been as much a nonstarter as having Richard Dawkins or Pope Benedict!

And that brings us to the real issue: further evidence that the evangelical church in America is veering off the rails. (It is such times that even people who MILDLY stand against Jakes and his lies are the ones to be mocked, opposed and condemned.) Is the great apostasy, the great falling away of 2 Thessalonians 2:3 upon us? This event is prophesied in scripture, and will come to pass. It is a very tragic development in and of itself, but 2 Thess 2:3 tells us that the great falling away is a precursor to – or more accurately a precondition for – the coming of the beast, the anti-Christ, the man of sin, which occurs during the great tribulation. It is my position that the church will experience this great tribulation, and not be raptured from or otherwise escape it, as many pastors and teachers propose. So as difficult as things are now for the church as evidenced by its willingness to not only suffer but endorse and promote such false teachers as Jakes, it is only paving the way for even tougher times to come. Christian, watch and discern the times. Pray. Be strengthened and encouraged in the Lord so that you will not be deceived, that you will resist temptation, and stay in the faith.

For those of you not in the faith, realize that the proliferation of false doctrines and those who gain wealth, fame and power by teaching them does not undermine Christianity, but rather is evidence that the Bible is true, for Jesus Christ Himself and His apostles predicted that such a time as this would come thousands of years ago; Christ referred to men such as Jakes as ravening wolves in sheep’s clothing. That many will follow such people is evidence that narrow is the gate that leads to salvation, and wide is that which leads to destruction!

Enter into the narrow gate. Be saved in the Name of Jesus Christ. Repent of your sins, believe in Jesus Christ. Follow

Ravi Zacharias and Jack Hayford Joined Noted Pulpit Pimps John Hagee, TD Jakes And Joyce Meyer To Pull Off Pray For Peace Of Jerusalem Event!

Posted by Job on October 6, 2008

Two cannot walk together unless they be agreed.

Major Global Prayer Initiative for Jerusalem Peace Begins

Millions of Christians from around the world are expected to take part in the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem on Sunday. The annual event, observed each year on the first Sunday of October, boasts support from many prominent Christian leaders including T.D. Jakes, Jack Hayford, John Hagee, Sunday Adeleja, Ravi Zacharias, Michael W. Smith, and Joyce Meyer.

These leaders and thousands of others have signed a document calling for global prayer for Jerusalem and all its inhabitants. “As Christians and believers in the Word of God, we have a responsibility to pray for the peace of Jerusalem,” wrote Joyce Meyer of Joyce Meyer Ministries. (As Christians, you are also supposed to discern who you pray WITH.)

“America and Israel have been friends and allies for many years now and today we must continue to stand in support of Israel,” she added. “As the body of Christ we must ask God to bring them not only peace in the natural, but also peace spiritually through relationship with Jesus Christ.” (So Joyce Meyer is now among those claiming that our temporal political alliances are spiritual aims of the eternal kingdom of heaven. In other words, typical religious right ideas that are quite frankly not much different from the left wing flavor of amillennialism, the social gospel.)

The prayer initiative takes its calling from Psalm 122:6. which states: “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May they prosper who love you.’” (So are we to fulfil that scripture by praying with occultists, Satanists, Hindus, and Buddhists? Or only with other Christians? And are we to make a big political and media spectacle of obeying scripture? Or did not Jesus Christ say that such smacked of Phariseeism?)

Besides the event in Jerusalem and in local churches worldwide, the DPPJ will also feature a 24-hour global prayer conference on Sunday. Last year, more than 700 people dialed-in from 14 nations to the prayer line to unite in intercession for Israel.

“To pray for the peace of Jerusalem is to pray, ‘Lord, let your Kingdom come and Your will be done on earth, not only in the ultimate revelation of His King coming from Heaven, but in the present revelation of God’s peace as it comes into our hearts in a troubled world, to bring to the heartbeat center of the world, something of a peace that alleviates the tensions, the hatred, the bombings, the torments,” wrote Dr. Jack Hayford, co-chairman of the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem.

This year, more than 200,000 churches in 175 nations will participate in the largest Israel-focused prayer event in history, according to the DPPJ Web site. The Jerusalem Celebration will be broadcasted live across 192 nations through GOD TV. (Please note: GOD TV was the Todd Bentley promotion central channel)

Did The Pentecostal Prosperity Doctrine And TBN Cause The Financial Crisis?

Posted by Job on October 3, 2008

Foreward: please note that the Bible DOES NOT PROMOTE reckless financial behavior, but quite the contrary promotes hard work, frugality, and conscientiousness. Contrast the ostentatious wealth of King Solomon – who left God for syncretism – with Jesus Christ, who was born in a manger and lived the life of a pauper. And as for you prosperity preacher adherents, well, you wanted to be world changers, right? To take authority and dominion? Well, it looks like you did it. Your doctrines helped cause the international banking crisis that just may set the stage for the anti – Christ to come to power. By the way, sorry for picking on Palin, because TONS of black prosperity doctrine preachers have gotten behind Obama as well. You know, it makes for the perfect conspiracy theory.

All of these Council on Foreign Relations – backed preachers get on TV – especially if they own networks like TBN – or dominate the book publishing market (Left Behind) or even get mainstream publicity (like TD Jakes on the cover of Time Magazine – which ironically published this article ) which exploit the poor with false promises of wealth. Then have the same Council on Foreign Relations – connected politicians (Bush Sr., Bush Jr., Clinton, Gingrich at minimum) change the banking laws, requiring/forcing banks to lend to these people. And when the inevitable economic collapse occurs (which by the way was just the result of terrible economic policy dating back to at least Reagan … remember how the Democrats AND Republicans exhorted you to go buy an SUV and invest your retirement accounts in Pets.com in the 1990s … and that speaks nothing of deficit spending and free trade deals with third world countries where people will gladly work for $5 a day) then use it as an excuse to practically nationalize the banking sector and promote economic globalism. If this WASN’T a conspiracy, it certainly played out like one. In any event, now you see how massively evil false doctrines are, and the prosperity doctrine is both false and evil.

Foreclosures: Did God Want You to Get That Mortgage?

or “God caused the bank to ignore my credit score and blessed me with my first house.”

Has the so-called Prosperity Gospel turned its followers into some of the most willing participants — and hence, victims — of the current financial crisis? That’s what a scholar of the fast-growing brand of pentecostal Christianity believes. While researching a book on black televangelism, says Jonathan Walton, a religion professor at the University of California Riverside, he realized that Prosperity’s central promise — that God would “make a way” for poor people to enjoy the better things in life — had developed an additional, toxic expression during sub-prime boom. Walton says that this encouraged congregants who got dicey mortgages to believe “God caused the bank to ignore my credit score and blessed me with my first house.” The results, he says, “were disastrous, because they pretty much turned parishioners into prey for greedy brokers.”
Others think he may be right. Says Anthea Butler, an expert in pentecostalism at the University of Rochester in New York state, “The pastor’s not gonna say ‘go down to Wachovia and get a loan’ but I have heard, ‘even if you have a poor credit rating God can still bless you — if you put some faith out there [that is, make a big donation to the church], you’ll get that house, or that car or that apartment.'” Adds J. Lee Grady, editor of the magazine Charisma, “It definitely goes on, that a preacher might say, ‘if you give this offering, God will give you a house. And if they did get the house, people did think that it was an answer to prayer, when in fact it was really bad banking policy.” If so, the situation offers a look at how an native-born faith built partially on American econoic optimism entered into a toxic symbiosis with a pathological market.

Although a type of Pentecostalism, Prosperity theology adds a distinctive layer of supernatural positive thinking. Adherents will reap rewards if they prove their faith to God by contributing heavily to their churches, remaining mentally and verbally upbeat, and concentrating on divine promises of worldly bounty supposedly strewn throughout the bible. Critics call it a thinly disguised pastor-enrichment scam. Other experts, like Walton, note that for all its faults, it can empower people who have been taught to see themselves as financially or even culturally useless to feel they are “worthy of having more and doing more and being more.” (Sure, if you forget about the Bible says that the Holy Spirit, God the Father, and Jesus Christ are supposed to comfort and reassure us. Blessed are the poor for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.) In some cases the philosophy has matured with its practitioners, encouraging good financial habits and entrepreneurship.

But Walton suggests that a decade’s worth of ever-easier credit acted like drug in Prosperity’s bloodstream. “The economic boom 90’s and financial over-extensions of the new millennium contributed to the success of the prosperity message,” he wrote recently. And not positively. “Narratives of how ‘God blessed me with my first house despite my credit’ were common. Sermons declaring ‘it’s your season to overflow’ supplanted messages of economic sobriety,” and “little attention was paid to.. the dangers of using one’s home equity as an ATM to subsidize cars, clothes and vacations.”

With the bubble burst, Walton and Butler assume that prosperity congregants have taken a disproportionate hit, and are curious as to how their churches will respond. Butler thinks that some of the flashier ministries will shrink along with their congregants’ fortunes. Says Walton, “You would think that the current economic conditions would undercut their theology.” But he predicts they will perservere, since God’s earthly largesse is just as attractive when one is behind the economic eight ball.

A recently posted testimony by a congregant at the Brownsville Assembly of God near Pensacola, Fla., seems to confirm his intuition. Brownsville is not even a classic Prosperity congregation — it relies more on the anointing of its pastors than on scriptural promises of God. But the believer’s note to his minister illustrates how magical thinking can prevail even after the mortgage blade has dropped. “Last Sunday,” it read, “You said if anyone needed a miracle to come up. So I did. I was receiving foreclosure papers, so I asked you to anoint a picture of my home and you did and your wife joined with you in prayer as I cried. I went home feeling something good was going to happen. On Friday the 5th of September I got a phone call from my mortgage company and they came up with a new payment for the next 3 months of only $200. My mortgage is usually $1020. Praise God for his Mercy & Grace.”

And pray that the credit market doesn’t tighten any further.

Some videos that speak of the error of these doctrines.

MIKE HUCKABEE TO WORK FOR WORLD’S BIGGEST PORNOGRAPHER RICK WARREN CRONY RUPERT MURDOCH!

Posted by Job on June 12, 2008

Per the link below, the fellow – who actually defended Jeremiah Wright on MSNBC – has been hired to be a contributor for Fox News. Now Rupert Murdoch is a Council on Foreign Relations guy. So is Rick Warren. When Huckabee was being hammered by the anti – Christians in the right wing media for not knowing anything about foreign policy, HE HIRED A MEMBER OF THE COUNCIL ON FOREIGN RELATIONS TO GET HIM UP TO SPEED ON THAT TOPIC! But hey, it is just me being a conspiracy – monger I guess. All of these things are just coincidences.

It Is All About POWER People: Evangelical Leaders Meet With Barack HUSSEIN Obama

Posted by Job on June 12, 2008

Now in retrospect, we Christians should have been just as motivated to speak out against evangelical leaders meeting with George W. Bush. But hey, a lot of us are still deceived into believing that supporting pro – homosexual pro – abortion anti – Christ new world order system globalists in one party (Republican) is somehow more “Christian” than meeting with the same type of people in the other party! But hey, if anything, this shows that the very people that have spent the last 30 years vouching for the likes of Ronald Reagan, George W. Bush, George H. W. Bush, Trent Lott, Mitt Romney, etc. have never been on the side of Jesus Christ, and that there is no need to be deceived by religious right darkness any longer. See link below:

Evangelical Leaders Meet with Barack Obama **Updated**

There’s lots of dialogue going on this days. Evangelical leaders met with Barack Obama this week to dialogue some more. They haven’t figured out what aborted babies in America already know—that Obama supports the right to slaughter preborn babies in the womb and those out of the womb who manage to survive a induced labor abortion. Obama twice voted against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act in the state of Illinois. This bill was supposed to allow babies to live who managed to survive an abortion procedure, and it was introduced after nurses like Jill Stanek protested having to watch little babies die on dirty laundry carts after failed hospital abortions. Jill recalls holding one such down’s syndrome baby for 45 minutes because nobody else would hold him while he died. They had put the infant on a cart in a laundry room to die. This, Barack Obama supports and it’s on the record in the state of Illinois. So extreme are his views on abortion that the Washington Post carried a piece on just how extreme he is. Michelle Obama drafted a fundraising letter for his Senate campaign that warned about how zealots wanted to stop partial birth abortion and that her husband would keep it safe for all women. The Obamas support partial birth abortion where the baby’s head is born, skull punctured with scissors, the brains sucked out and the baby then delivered and hurled into a bucket. That’s real hope and opportunity for all, Mr. Obama. What a hero. These evangelical leaders like T.D. Jakes, who said he had goosebumps when Obama got the nomination, should be forced to watch what Jill Stanek did, holding a baby that had been murdered at his mother’s request, all because he had down’s syndrome.

By the way, people, this video below is what ought to give you goosebumps, and not of the kind that T.D. Jakes was speaking of.

What If Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyer, Paula White, Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, And T.D. Jakes Were RACIST?

Posted by Job on April 10, 2008

And Pat Robertson, Robert Schuller, Oral Roberts, the Crouch family, Juanita Bynum, Creflo Dollar, Eddie Long, and whoever else you wanted to name? Take Paula White in particular, who has (or until very recently HAD) a predominantly black church in Tampa, Florida and has the #1 rated show on Black Entertainment Television. Suppose this women were to start preaching that I.Q. tests have proven blacks to be genetically less intelligent than whites (after a manner of “The Bell Curve”) and that black culture is inferior (after Dinesh D’Souza’s “The End of Racism). Suppose that she were to say that she supports the Confederate flag, that her ancestors were slaveowners and that she was proud of that fact, and that the nation was better off from segregation because it protected whites – especially women like her – from black crime, the inevitable product of lowered black IQ and of inferior black culture. And that our low IQs and inferior cultures are due to our being the cursed descendants of Ham/Canaan, and that America had tried to remove the effects of the curse with slavery, generous welfare and social spending, affirmative action, etc. but it is just impossible for man to undo what God has declared. And so on. Would her black parishioners leave (not to mention a good percentage of the white ones)? Would she remain on TBN and the other Christian broadcasting networks, to speak nothing of BET?

Of course not. So then, why are these same people so forgiving when it comes to pastors that commit adultery (and this includes GETTING DIVORCED AND REMARRYING, READ Matthew 19:9), who steal, cheat, lie, preach false doctrines, and violate so many other things that the Bible plainly says (including that women cannot preach!) on a regular basis? It is simple: worldliness. The world has declared racism to be one of the greatest and most unforgivable evils of human history. So the person that commits racism is not to be tolerated in any context. But disobey the Bible? Who cares! That person is still called by God and has a powerful ministry and anointing! Consider their fruits, all the people that they have gotten saved and their works of charity! Instead of tearing them down, causing division, and making the church look bad, pray and ask that God restore them! Touch not mine anointed and do my prophet no harm! And pull the beam out of your own eye before you pluck the mote out of Brother (or Sister) Pulpit Pimp, thus saith the sheeple! (I hate both terms, but that is what they are.)

Are you aware that one of the books in the Bible is named after a slave owner? Philemon is the name. Yet if a pastor owned slaves in this day and time, virtually no one would sit in his church. Yet at any given time you can find any number of convicted felons, sex perverts, and blaspheming heretics running their synagogues of Satan any which way they choose, and instead of saying “hey, this wickedness is just what the Bible warns against in Revelation 2 and 3 and in other places”, folks are much faster to “prophesy” against the people that actually care about what the Bible says. Well, if the followers of these preachers don’t care if their pastors obey the Bible, how on earth can they criticize the unsaved for not doing so? On what basis will the unsaved be condemned? You say “Well, the Bible says that believing in Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven.” You mean, the same Bible that you IGNORE when it says that Christianity is not for getting rich, and that we are to prefer the poor over the rich instead of the other way around? The same Bible that you IGNORE when it reveals the reality of Trinity? The same Bible that you IGNORE when it says that not everyone will speak in tongues, that “sign gifts” are not to be used as evidence of salvation, and that “slain in the spirit” is confusion to be banned from the church? Or that we are not to follow or fellowship with those who reject sound doctrine? And so on? If you are not going to judge YOURSELF by what the Bible says regarding those things, how can you use that same Bible to hold someone’s not accepting Jesus Christ over their heads?

For instance, Carlton Pearson’s congregation up and left when the fellow started advocating universalism. But what about all of the other false doctrines that this fellow from the Oral Roberts school of Word of Faith/prosperity/confusion was espousing? I suppose that is where such Christians draw the line. The notion that you can get to heaven without believing in Jesus Christ offends them, because they still want to be better than everybody else. They still want to be special. They want to be able to claim to be a peculiar people, blessed and highly favored, anointed, a royal priesthood, and all of those things for themselves, but not give them away to anybody else. But this is the issue: THEY DO NOT WANT TO OBEY THE BIBLE IN ORDER TO BE AND RECEIVE THOSE THINGS. So, these same people who beg for tolerance and forgiveness on behalf of their pastors and themselves for claiming to believe in Jesus Christ while not obeying Him are denying that same tolerance and forgiveness to everyone else. Ones such as those, people, are the real hypocrites, and the Bible itself says that people like that will be judged most harshly of all.

So if hearing that Eddie Long, Creflo Dollar, John Hagee, and Jamal – Harrison Bryant are no better than Ku Klux Klansmen offends you, well I am sorry, but it is still true. The folks who followed the Ku Klux Klan will get the same reward as the people who follow these false preachers on judgment day, and unless you turn aside from these wicked men and women and start seeking after God’s righteousness, all of you spiritual Klansmen will spend an eternity in the lake of fire together! Do not let the standards of the world determine what is acceptable for your pastor, for your church, or for you. Instead, allow the Bible to determine it. Rest assured, there is no excuse for not doing your level best to submit yourself to the standard of the Bible, or for following pastors and fellowshipping with others that refuse to.

Those who hear the shepherd (Jesus Christ) and follow His voice (the Bible) will be saved. All else are not His sheep will perish. But for a lot of you, it would be so much better were some tape of your favorite Pulpit Pimp railing against blacks (or whites), Jews, Asians, etc. were to be found to prove that these people were never called by God and are not following Him, since hearing these people all but come out and deny Jesus Christ with their very lips is not sufficient. Oh but that it were that simple, but it appears that for a lot of you it is precisely that sort of thing that it will take, because for you the Bible itself is just not good enough. Is It JUDGING To Say That Homosexuality Endorsing Tammy Faye Bakker Is In The Lake Of Fire? And TBN Has (Implicitly) Endorsed Homosexuality!

Posted by Job on October 30, 2007

SoldierServant has a powerful spiritual argument for Christians “judging” with scripture to back it up! See his link below:

Christians ARE Supposed To Judge

So “the church of not judge” is teetering on apostasy and heresy! Inspired by his post, I will deal with Tammy Faye Bakker Messner. I admit, I was deceived by this woman. I sincerely believed that she had recommitted her life to Yeshua HaMashiach after her fall in the PTL scandal and her marital and health problems. I actually received emotional inspiration by watching her faithfully read her Bible while on “The Surreal Life” reality show (which I had to stop watching after an episode because of some of the other participants on it) and her frequent testimonies on Larry King Live and TBN.

But now the truth is out. On one of her TBN appearances, she vigorously defended the “ministry” of her son, and did so to the roaring approval of the audience and interviewer. Regrettably, I do not have that clip, but I have two clips below of her TBN interview by Matt Crouch at the bottom. What is the big deal? Well Jay Bakker supports homosexuality. He says that God spoke to Him and gave him a revelation that He was changing the Bible: that where homosexuality was considered a sin in the past, it was now permissible. Now this is actually worse than the gay rights advocates that claim that the scriptures condemning homosexuality are not authoritative, have been misinterpreted, or need to be brought into the modern context. Instead, Jay Bakker claims the Word of God to be eternal, inerrant, inspired, and the final authority, but that God merely changed His Mind! Now this is apostasy, blasphemy, and heresy of the highest degree!

Of course, claiming that TBN does not know that Jay Bakker is in the streets of Atlanta telling homosexuals that their abomination is just fine (and Bakker also endorses other sins incidentally) is ridiculous: not only do these preachers get ALL the information (especially on someone so prominent as the Bakkers, who helped found TBN along with the Crouches let us not forget!) but it has made national news on CNN and other outlets. So by allowing this woman to defend her son’s false ministry on her airwaves, they are giving consent to the sin of homosexuality just as surely as TD Jakes is by promoting the pro – homosexual views of Dr. Phil McGraw. Oh yes, and that means that Robert Schuller is too, for he had Dr. Phil on his show this year as well, with Dr. Phil defending his false Christianity right about the time that Pastor Bill Keller was denouncing him and his boss new age witch Oprah Winfrey!

Alas, the Atlanta Journal – Constitution, the worst newspaper in the country, printed two articles (here and here) about Bakker’s memorial service. This is the basis that I use for my proposition that Bakker is in the lake of fire, which appears in both. “A woman so nonjudgmental that she loved everybody. That that didn’t always win her unanimous approval was driven home by the presence of a handful of protesters outside the memorial service. Brandishing signs reading “Tammy’s in Hell” and several more unprintable things, they were there to signal their disapproval of Messner’s public embrace of gay people.” Also: The love she has received from so many people within the gay community, I’m eternally grateful for,” Bakker said to a huge burst of applause in the cathedral.

You know, I was completely taken in by Jay Bakker’s act. Why? Because of the vigorous endorsement of his “Revolution Church” by Harry Potter – loving Christianity Today! So let’s see, Christianity Today endorsed homosexual sin endorsing Jay Bakker and homosexual sin endorsing J.K. Rowling and the homosexuality commercials aimed at our small children Spongebob Squarepants and Shark Tale … hmmm do you see a trend in the making? Now I am not ready to make the leap and say that Christianity Today supports homosexuality (though Paul Crouch’s TBN is another matter, and to the tune of $425,000!) but it goes to show that if you swim through enough trash by endorsing it on order to stay “culturally relevant (and see this as well)” you are going to get some stink on you.

Now look, it is VERY POSSIBLE that Tammy Faye Bakker Messner repented with her dying breath or sometime before. Absent that, we Christians should not be lily – livered in declaring her eternal fate, or that of anyone else that rejects the true gospel of Yeshua HaMashiach for apostasy. And no, this is not about Tammy Faye Bakker Messner, who is dead. I am not Roman Catholic, so I hold that there is nothing can be done about those that are dead and gone. This is about the LIVING: the false preachers that are still out there and the people that follow them.

Using Tough Language From The Bible IS NOT Speaking In Hate!

Posted by Job on October 25, 2007

I have been accused of such from the very beginning of this weblog, including by other fundamentalist, evangelical, and charismatic Christian ministers! Now while I do recognize that the time, place, culture, and language of contemporary times is far removed from those both when the Bible was both written and translated (the speech, while more polished, was far less sensitive to people’s emotions back then in no large part because THE FIELD OF FREUDIAN PSYCHOLOGY AND EVERYTHING ELSE THAT CAME OUT OF IT INCLUDING THE “SELF ESTEEM MOVEMENT” OR THE NOTION THAT YOU COULD “PSYCHOLOGICALLY SCAR PEOPLE WITH WORDS” DID NOT EXIST YET!), it cannot be ignored that if words describing the behavior of people, groups, cultures, and nations were true back then, they are still true today.

Further, if the confrontational approach employed by the Holy Spirit – inspired prophets of truth was appropriate and necessary back then, it is appropriate and necessary by those of us that are inspired to righteous action to stand against evil by the same Holy Spirit that speaks to US through those words today. Are people’s feelings going to get hurt? Of course. But do you honestly think that the apostles and prophets did not hurt feelings in their day? I would imagine that King David’s feelings were hurt when the prophet Nathan called him an adulterous murderer, and told him that his innocent child conceived in iniquity would die to pay the debt for David’s sins (making David’s baby that died, ironically, a forward prophetic type of Yeshua HaMashiach). So if what Nathan said about David was true and needed to be said back then, what brother IndependentConservative says about Juanita Bynum and Bishop Thomas Weeks III (disgusting and lust filled liars and whores … Weeks is not even a “III” but a Jr., but calls himself III because it sounds more distinguished!) is true and needs to be said today. Especially since unlike David, Bynum and Weeks have never at any time been people after God’s own heart or have aspired to be.

Also, we as Christians have to face facts: a lot of these people feigning indignation and hurt are doing just that – FAKING. They are just prideful people who do not want to be reminded of their sins, and do not want to face public scorn and ridicule for their sins. IndependentConservative has another great case in point: the hard core sex criminal Earl Paulk (whose deeds include incest: he is the father of his own nephew!), who when women began to come forward with allegations against him resorted to the very same “touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm” nonsense that many of you folks have come on here defending thieving adulterers and sex peddlers Paula and Randy White, the aforementioned Weeks and Bynum, oneness heretic and Council on Foreign Relations puppet TD Jakes, universalist Joel Osteen, apostate heretic Kenneth Copeland, and the many prominent preachers that JUST HAPPEN to be freemasons.

The truth hurts, people. But you know what is also true? WITHHOLDING THE TRUTH HURTS MORE. Because if you speak the truth, it will hurt the hearer of the truth, but the very point of that hurt is to bring Holy Spirit conviction on that person so that they will repent. When that happens, the Comforter will come and take the hurt away. But if you withhold the truth from them and they perish in their sins, then not only is their hurt immeasurably worse, but so is yours, for God will require their blood at your hands on judgment day. That is called “the burden of the prophet” which God spoke through Ezekiel at the prophets that were withholding the truth from the people during his day: the people that not only fail in but consciously reject their responsibility to be watchmen on the wall, Ezekiel clearly says that their penalty will be DEATH.

The New Testament echoes the words of Ezekiel by making it clear that Christians that refuse to speak out and therefore allow their brothers and sisters to stumble … it would have been better for a millstone to be tied around their neck and be cast into the sea Jesus Christ said about those people. (To translate that parable, JESUS CHRIST SAID THAT SUCH PEOPLE WILL GO TO THE LAKE OF FIRE FOR ETERNITY!) So while the truth hurts the hearer of the truth temporarily, withholding the truth hurts both the one who needs the truth and the one who knows the truth immeasurably worse FOR ETERNITY!

A lot of folks have come on here reminding me of Christ’s admonition that the true test of a disciple is the love for one another and for sinners that he exhibits through his words and actions. That is true, but if you are going to pass by someone that is spiritually lying on the side of the road polluted in their own blood because of their sins and just step over them as they lay dying rather than telling them to “live ye live” (Ezekiel 16:6) by letting them know that their behavior is sin, that their sin is known to God and will be judged by God, and they need to repent and accept and obey Jesus Christ through the Bible, then you do not love that person, you do not love Jesus Christ or the Father and are resisting the Holy Ghost, and that is evidence that you are not a disciple.

What we need to do, Christians, is reject the sensual lascivious nonsense of what the sinful world calls love. The world’s concept of love is completely absent of holiness, righteousness self – control, responsibility, or love for others. What the world calls love is “doing whatever makes you feel good.” Eve gave into that corrupted concept of love when she heeded the lies of Satan in the garden of Eden, and Adam did also in following his wife. Now that very same sensual mess is in the church, including the non – emergent fundamentalist and evangelical portions, because these pastors have given in to the filthy abominations of a modern psychology field that was developed by freaks, creeps, and perverts like Sigmund Freud (who used his theories to justify his incestual lust for his mother), Alfred Kinsey (who used his theories to justify his desire to molest young boys), and Carl Jung (who literally worshiped the devil)!

I am not kidding or exaggerating, go do the research yourself! These are the guys that invented the modern field of psychology that tells us that we have to be “sensitive”, “tolerant”, and “accepting” of other people’s sins because their whole purpose and motivation was justifying their own! And now we have allowed that rebellious abomination to come into the church by way of so many Christian pastors that have defiled the holy message of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob with the evil lusts of men crawling with demons of incest, homosexuality, child molestation, and devil worship. So is it any wonder that NONE of the leading preachers and theologians today will directly confront sin or sinners? Oh, they will bash Hollywood stars, Ted Kennedy, and Barney Frank because of that religious right abomination. But they won’t deal with sin or sinners on a personal level, and that includes the sins of other prominent preachers.

The only reason that we ever found out about Ted Haggard, leader of the National Association of Evangelicals for instance, is because he was exposed by a homosexual prostitute! Not a member of the Body of Christ using Holy Spirit discernment. Not a member of his church who noticed the longtime pattern of bizarre behavior by Haggard and demanded that he confess. No, this fellow would still be leading that church and using his position in the National Association of Evangelicals to convince fundamentalist and evangelical Christians that fighting global warming is more important than keeping the government from officially endorsing the sin of homosexuality were it not for this gay prostitute. And there has been NO ACCOUNTABILITY for the leaders of that church or of the religious right over this issue. NONE.

Why? I am going to tell you why. Because the modern church movement has gotten to be so apostate, so revolting, that it tolerates sin. It accommodates sin. It even LIKES SIN. The modern church movement has more love for people that hate, reject, mock, and re – crucify Jesus Christ with their hateful rebellion against Him than they do for Christians that stand for and demand righteousness in themselves and others that profess Jesus Christ. Evidence of this is the comments of this fellow who runs a weblog dedicated to “dialogue between Christians and Mormons”, claiming that “if we are too harsh in condemning Mormonism, Mormons will leave Christianity altogether, so we need to use gentle persuasion to trick them into leaving their apostate movement so that we can get them to join a Christian church so that they might be converted over time by hearing the preacher.”

Right … getting a Mormon to follow Brian McLaren, Kenneth Copeland, or Creflo Dollar using a compromised gospel … that’ll win ‘em for Christ! Please. It will make them twice the sons of hell that they were before! Now when I objected to the notion that Mormons ever were Christians to begin with, the fellow at LDSTalk told me “I probably have a 90% theological alignment with you, but after your first comment here I don’t even want to hang out with you. You’re a clanging cymbal.” (Calling me a clanging cymbal was “nicer” than telling me that I sounded like fingernails being scratched across a chalkboard I suppose).

But that is the mentality of the church today … finding someone that you can sit around and call everyone else Pharisees with and have a great time. The fact that AT THIS VERY SECOND PEOPLE ARE DYING AND GOING TO THE LAKE OF FIRE FOR ETERNITY? Man, don’t bring me down with none of your negative vibe, I was all high off smoking my Holy Spirit marijuana (to borrow from gospel singer Tonex, who has now veered heavily into gnosticism, mysticism, and vulgarity) before you came along and ruined my buzz. Now this fellow is asserting I’m convinced that Jesus is unconcerned with our behavior. And … John 14:15 means what then?

Now the brother at Gay Christian Movement Watch is a better writer than I am, so I suggest that you go see his words on the topic that inspired my own post.

Is it “hateful” use the Bible’s tough language?

TD Jakes And Andrew Merritt Linked To Homosexual Church Movement!

Posted by Job on October 3, 2007

TD Jakes, Andrew Merritt linked to gay church movement

Since a lot of you appear to be looking at this post without clicking on the link, I will give you the excerpt that ties TD Jakes to the organized sodomite movement.

“We want to first take note of Bishop Robert M. Taylor, a member of The Fellowship’s Ecclesiastical Board and partially responsible for the organization’s ”spiritual direction and formation.” Taylor had founded and pastored Fellowship Tabernacle in Philadelphia, a “gay-friendly” church since 1979. But in 2004, Taylor exited Fellowship Tabernacle abruptly and preceded to set up the International Covenant Ministries Fellowship (ICMF), a small conglomerate of churches sprinkled across the country with headquarters in Statesville, NC. He attributed the sudden change to divine instruction from God to turn over the church to his “spiritual sons and daughters” because God said to establish churches abroad. But three years after leaving Philadelphia, Taylor presides only over a few churches mainly on the US east coast. We were told that Taylor allegedly left due to some type of criminal sexual activity which occured under his watch.

Taylor triples as a bishop in the Higher Ground Always Abounding Assemblies, headquartered in Columbus, OH. That’s the same denomination where Dallas luminary Bishop T.D. Jakes and Detroit pastor Andrew Merritt of Straight Gate Church preside as two of the top three church bishops. Taylor is a member of the “National Executive Board of Senior Bishops.” Watch Taylor and Jakes in this video of the HGAAA 2006 convention.”

So, you TD Jakes defenders, where are you now? Come defend THIS! The article above clearly states that these homosexuals are connected to Jakes’ oneness denomination. Claiming that Jakes – and his denomination – does not know about the background and views of one of the leading bishops is not credible. Neither is denying that TBN and the many other Christian broadcasting concerns do not know, or that a great many of the other pastors and Christian leaders that have worked with this fellow in the past do not know. Then again, it has been common knowledge that Jakes denies Trinity ever since at least 1998, so if they don’t care about the Holy Trinity (meaning that they don’t care about God) then why should they care about the mere sin of homosexuality?
