Why Does The Media Focus Only On Harold Camping?

Posted by Job on May 26, 2011

Yes, Harold Camping has been exposed as a false prophet, deceiving many as concerning the timing of the second coming of Jesus Christ. Again. Yes, his deception has caused lots of problems and unnecessary harm, especially for his followers. Again. The question is this: what is the big deal? Why has Camping been the subject of such media attention for months when there are so many pressing stories to cover i.e. wars, famines, diseases, natural disasters, economic failures, political intrigues etc. on a global scale? Clearly the media has an agenda, but what is it?

First off, for the sake of sound doctrine, let it be known that the return of Jesus Christ will not occur until A) the gospel has been taken to all nations and B) a great apostasy, a great falling away from the true faith, occurs. As the great commission is a primary duty of the church, it logical to conclude that the falling away will occur shortly after the great commission is fulfilled, or when the great commission’s fulfillment and with it the time of the Gentiles draws to a close. Anyone who extricates themselves from rapture watching and religious right (or religious left) politics long enough to pay attention to the global missions movements knows that barring a fantastic miracle we are at least 100 years from fulfilling the great commission (the 10/40 window alone is an amazing challenge) and – despite the claims of Camping otherwise – far from there being a great falling away, there are more Christians – or definitely appreciable numbers of Christians in more places – today than at any time in history. So, if we can learn anything from this Camping episode, it is that we should heed the words given by angels and recorded by the physician Luke at the direction of God the Holy Spirit “why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” That was an exhortation to cease waiting for eternity and to get on with the business of living for eternity by loving Jesus Christ and walking in His ways.

With that out of the way, let it further be said that the error of Camping does not undermine the authority of the Bible, Jesus Christ or His church but rather confirms it. How? Because the Bible repeatedly warns against false teachers, including those who would lead people into error concerning His second coming. Jesus Christ said that “false prophets shall deceive many” in Matthew 24:5, and that many will be offended by the true faith in Matthew 24:10. Such false teachings were present even while the New Testament was being written, as the apostle Peter referenced them in 2 Peter 3:4, the apostle John did the same in 1 John 2:18, and the apostle Paul did the same in 2 Thessalonians 2.  Further, Jesus Christ predicted such specifically in Matthew 24:4-5! The New Testament makes it clear that we identify false teachers when they teach things that are in contradiction to the Bible. This truth is what drove William Tyndale to martyrdom, when he stated “I defy the Pope and all his laws. If God spare my life ere many years, I will cause the boy that drives the plow to know more of the scriptures than you!” in response to being told that common people didn’t need to be knowledgeable concerning the Bible’s contents, because it was better to obey the pope than the Bible anyway. So, in rejecting Jesus Christ when He stated that none knows the timing of His return save God the Father (Matthew 24:36), and in rejecting Jesus Christ when He stated that the great commission will be fulfilled before He returns (Matthew 24:14) and in rejecting the Holy Spirit’s inspiration of Paul concerning the falling away first in 2 Thessalonians 2:3, this Camping teaches against things concerning God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, and by his doing so and attracting so many followers he verifies the pages of the New Testament when it said that such a thing would happen. So, Camping did not harm the authenticity or integrity of the Bible by being wrong, but rather verified the Bible’s truth! Instead, Camping’s being RIGHT would have been an occasion to challenge the veracity of the Bible, for were Jesus Christ to return before we reach the many tribes in the 10/40 window or while there are tens of millions of believers risking persecution to worship in Africa and Asia, what would be said of those Bible texts?

So, make no mistake, there is nothing special about Camping. Was not just over ten years ago when there were tons of false prophets claiming based on Bible codes and numerology that Jesus Christ was going to return in 2000? (Never mind that the Bible doesn’t follow our modern calendars, and that Bede almost certainly incorrectly calculated the date of the birth of Jesus Christ that we use for “B.C.” and “A.D.” anyway). Or about 25 years ago Jesus Christ was going to return because it was 40 years after of the establishment of the modern state of Israel? (Never mind that Jesus Christ spoke “this generation” to the Jews of His own time concerning the destruction of the temple in 70 A.D., and if the Bible actually does speak of the restoration of the political nation of Israel, it does not link this event to any timetable concerning Christ’s return.) So why all the fuss and the furor? It has to serve some sort of media agenda.

Consider this: how come when the subject in view is Usama bin Laden or some other Muslim terrorist, the media is quick to say “he isn’t a real Muslim” or “he doesn’t represent mainstream Islam that is practiced by hundreds of millions of peaceful followers”, but the media is quick to depict Camping as being in or near the mainstream of evangelical and fundamental Christians? In truth, as Camping rejects the Holy Trinity, he shouldn’t be classified as Christian at all. Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Muslims and Jews all reject the Holy Trinity, a core foundational doctrine of Christianity that sets it apart from other religions that are either polytheistic or present a false teaching on God’s Unity. But while the media does its best to present Islam and increasingly Mormonism as moderate and mainstream, it uses Camping to create a wild eyed, dangerous fanatical face for Bible-believing Christianity.

Another thing: it isn’t as if Camping is the only false prophet or source of wrong information. Far from it. It is just that when so many others get things wrong and are exposed for their false, anti-Biblical thinking, nothing is ever said about it. Instead, the media, the academy, the elites simply move on. (Or they carry on as if the error was never made.) Consider liberal Christianity, such as the critical “scholars.” Barely a year goes by when an archaeological find of a Biblical site or a scientific breakthrough that confirms Biblical truth or discovery of early manuscripts verifying the existence of historical persons, places and the integrity of Biblical texts that the critical scholars challenged, yet the critical scholars are still accepted as scholars, and their methods – which would never be used in any other field because of their ascientific nature – accepted as reliable.

But that is just the Bible, right? Wrong. Take psychology. The theories of giants in that field like Sigmund Freud and Alfred Kinsey have long been discredited. Yet they are still revered as having made great contributions to science, modern thought and human progress, and furthermore their discredited theories are still being taught as fact in our schools and universities. But psychology, save when it is based on experimentation and observation and does not deal with brain’s biology and chemistry, is a “soft science”, right? Sure, except that the theories in the hard sciences like physics and biology turn up erroneous also. Our schools still teach the long-discredited false leads in evolution theory, i.e. the “evolutionary timeline tree chart” that has long been abandoned as unworkable, and fossils allegedly showing primates evolving into humans that were actually either diseased humans or other animals as fact. You would be surprised to know how many of the things that were taught in science class has been quietly abandoned, how much more needs to be pushed from the classroom, and would be if the media held that community to the same scrutiny that it does evangelical and fundamental Christianity.

But that is just arcane science that has little relevance to our daily lives, so what harm does it do? Fine, except that the realm of false prophets also exists in government and policy. Many fantastic, dire predictions have been made and influenced the direction of governments and leaders to who knows what ends. Example? Global warming. Except that they couldn’t call it “global warming” anymore when many places in the world started experiencing prolonged unseasonably cold weather! So, the cause of the cold weather was attributed to greenhouse gas emissions also and “global warming” became “climate change.” I remember a specific prediction from the global warming prophets that had a lot of people frightened: after Hurricane Katrina and other large, powerful destructive hurricanes in 2005, the global warming community (the “climate change” moniker had not yet been instituted) claimed that the increase in the power and severity of the storms were caused by global warming, and that we could expect worse storms – and more of them – thereafter. They predicted that the hurricane season of 2006 was going to be one of the worst in history! All their models said so! What happened? We haven’t had anything approaching Katrina since.

Another example: peak oil. The experts a few decades back claimed that we had maxed out our oil production, that we had exploited the main reserves, that oil production was heading for an inevitable decline, and that we needed to alter our lifestyles and change our way of life to conserve what oil was left or face a global energy crisis. A few years after those dire predictions, some of the largest oil reserves in history were discovered, as well as technological breakthroughs for accessing oil, and possible new sources of oil, such as from shale and sand. (Do not mistake me for an oil company and fossil fuels advocate, quite the contrary I am fully supportive of alternative energy, and believe that a lot of great technology in that area is not being exploited.) And there was also the “overpopulation crisis.” It was promoted by folks who believed that if the world’s population reached 4 billion, it would become unsustainable, and the result would be mass famines and starvation, diseases, wars and environmental degradation. The only solution was immediate global population control programs! Well, now the world population is 6.75 billion and counting.

There is more. Remember when mad cow disease was going to ravage our food supply? Oprah Winfrey said “I’ll never eat a hamburger again!” (Of course, these folks OPPOSE abstinence from fornication as a defense against sexually transmitted disease as the Bible commands, but constantly promotes abstinence from eating the animals that God gave us dominion over and called lawful to eat.) Remember when bird flu was going to kill thousands, or tens of thousands? What about swine flu? Brought to you by the same false prophets who told you to run out and buy cellophane and masking tape to protect yourself from a nuclear terrorist attack after September 11th.

The prophets told us in the 1980s that AIDS was going to wipe out a significant portion of the U.S. population with little or no regard for lifestyle, and needless to say they were wrong, as AIDS rates only increased among homosexuals, the promiscuous and drug users while declining for everyone else. The lead false prophet was surgeon general C. Everett Koop, who used this false information to promote sex education and condom giveaways in schools starting in 3rd grade. Speaking of sex education, the false prophets told us that it would drastically reduce the venereal disease and teen/out of wedlock pregnancy rates, and it did neither. Instead, both shot through the roof, and further there are now new venereal diseases that even condom manufacturers acknowledge their products are useless against (not that you will ever hear that in any public school sex education program).

But wait, there’s more. The prophets told us that abandoning classical education for new education reforms (often based on Freudian or Marxist theories) would lead to markedly improved results and a transformation of society. They were totally wrong, American academic achievement has fallen off the map, and no one talks about it. The prophets told us that divorce and illegitimacy were GOOD for women, children and even most men, but education, poverty, drug use and incarceration rates say otherwise. The prophets claimed that we could eliminate racism through education. How is that working out? They claimed that we could eliminate poverty through government action, and now not only is poverty still a reality (as Jesus Christ said it would in Mark 14:7, not a favorite text among liberal theologians!) but unprecedented numbers of people in America and worldwide are reliant on government assistance of some kind. The false prophets also claimed that the triumph of Soviet communism was inevitable, and the best course of action was resignation, acceptance and learning from and becoming more like them, only to have the Soviet Union collapse and many remaining Marxist regimes like China and Viet Nam adopt more capitalistic economies. Those who predicted that the war on drugs and the war on terror (especially Afghanistan and Iraq) could be effectively and quickly won? Whatever happened to them?

The sociologists who said that eliminating censorship laws and allowing the free trafficking of pornography would make us more progressive and improve relations between the sexes? They have been nowhere to be found as rapists, child molesters and other sex criminals have proliferated, multiplying like rats. The social theorists who claimed that putting criminals in jail wouldn’t lower crime rates because the root causes were economic? Wrong, and verified when crime rates still remained lower despite two severe recessions and deep cuts in social services. (Well, street crime is lower anyway. White collar crime, the rich in their vain attempt to sate their lust for greed, remains through the roof. But the Bible said that this would happen concerning the wealthy also … see the book of James, which is not a favorite among political conservatives or those who teach the false prosperity gospel.) And another example: remember Barack HUSSEIN Obama’s claim that we had to immediately adopt a stimulus package to keep unemployment from hitting 8%? Unemployment has been at or near 10% for over two years! Anti-Christ? Probably not. False prophet? Definitely.

So, on one hand you have ONE Harold Camping, who again due to his rejection of the Holy Trinity and of many Bible texts (he forbids his followers from fellowshipping in local churches in violation of Hebrews 10:25) should not be considered a Christian is a false prophet. On the other hand, you have MANY worldly prophets who due to their embrace of ungodly, anti-Biblical ideas, doctrines, philosophies and imaginations that exalt themselves against God (2 Corinthians 10:5) that are utterly, totally and completely wrong all the time. Now both groups of false prophets are wrong for the same reason: their rejection of Biblical revelation as true, infallible, inerrant, and the final authority in all matters, and not merely things necessary for salvation. But the media and the elites shine the light on Camping to defame and discredit Christians who actually do adhere to the Bible while doing their best to cover up the fact that they so wrong so often on so many issues to the great harm of so many is appalling. It is hypocrisy at best, and a conspiratorial cover-up at worst. If anything, talking about Camping gives them an excuse to keep from having to address the huge mess that these folks have made of the economies, governments and societies of the world. Further, it allows them to transfer the blame from their failed policies – and the rejection of Jesus Christ and the Bible which reveals Him ideology that motivate them – to Christians, as if Christians are undermining their efforts.

Christians, for instance, are blamed for illegitimacy by opposing sex education. Christians are blamed for AIDS by opposing homosexuality. Christians are blamed for poor educational performance for opposing evolution. Christians are blamed for global warming for opposing climate change legislation. Christians are blamed for the wars and tension in the Middle East for supporting Israel and not a Palestinian state (by the way, I reject Zionism, and “Christian” Zionism is especially repugnant to what the Bible actually says, and John Hagee and not a few other false prophets follow this flawed school of interpretation). Christians are called misogynist for adhering to what the Bible says about the roles concerning men and women in the church, in marriages and homes and in society, and for opposing the murder of abortion. Christians are blamed for “Islamophobia” and “anti-Semitism” and “anti-Mormonism” for refusing to deny that Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven, and accused of undermining cultures with our missionary work. And the list goes on and on.

And it is only going to increase. As more and more ideas based on a rejection of the Bible and even of general revelation (see Romans 1:18-32) causes still more decline and failure, anger will increase against Christians. As the world continues to reap the fruit of the sin and wickedness that it sows, it will increasingly see Christians as scapegoats. Instead of repenting of their sins and acknowledging those as the true source of the misery and calamity, the blame will be on Christians for failing to get with the program.

This will climax in first sporadic but then general and organized attempts to silence Christians and remove us from their midst, in the hopes of keeping us from hindering their “progress.” This is far-fetched, you say? Not in the least, because it has already happened. An example is not merely the brutal repression and murder of Christians on a massive scale in the Soviet Union, China, Germany, Sudan and other totalitarian (whether Marxist, Muslim or fascist) regimes in the last century, but the experience of the church in the Roman Empire. The Roman Empire’s wealth, power and culture were declining due to the decadence and incompetence of its ruling classes, and from Nero to Decius, they saw Christians as a scapegoat.

The legitimate Christians refused to join in their state religion (an odd mix of paganism and patriotism not dissimilar from what goes on in our country today, including in not a few churches) so the Roman “gods” were angry. The Christians refused to join in their public activities (regrettably this is not a mark of contemporary Christianity!) so they were called “divisive” and were accused of undermining the common culture (in addition to not being patriotic!) that was allegedly needed to have a cohesive, strong empire. And Christians preached and taught against the immorality, wickedness and depravity of the people, the rulers and the times. They preached against the rampant adultery, homosexuality, violence and child molestation. They preached against the wanton excesses of the upper classes (again, not a mark of contemporary evangelical Christianity, unless the upper classes in view are Hollywood, government bureaucrats and other liberal elites). And they preached against paganism, not only by the people but the official state religion (again, the evangelical Christian preacher who even speaks of the freemasonry and occult that was vital to this nation’s founding and has been influential in it ever since is rare).

Then, the persecution began as sporadic and localized, but climaxed in a brutal, sustained attempt to completely rid the Roman Empire of Christianity. And despite the estimated ten million Christians that were killed by the Roman Empire (something that you will never see mentioned in history books or depicted in movies, as they are more wont to depict Christians as murderous crusaders and the like) and the carnage of the past hundred years, that is only a shadow of the real bloodbath to come. You see, unlike Harold Camping, I do not adhere to a rapture belief. Instead, I believe the Bible when it says that when the anti-Christ comes, it will be given to him to make war against the saints, and to overcome them. I believe the Bible when it says that the time of tribulation, of great sorrows, will be of such severity that it will be cut short so that the saints, the elect, will survive it. And I believe that the saints that were mentioned in Revelation and Matthew 24 that will see that horrible time are not Jews, or those converted by Jews during the great tribulation, but Christians.

And that is what it is all about. That is why turning an obscure preacher with questionable doctrine into an international news story lasting several cycles was done. It is why Westboro Baptist Church, a cult that has existed for decades, is only now becoming international news. It is why Terry Jones, an obscure leader of a small congregation, became an international pariah for burning a Koran when not only Muslims but the United States military routinely burns Bibles!

It is why terrorists attacks committed by atheists like Timothy McVeigh and Eric Rudolph are attributed to Christians. It is why violence against abortion clinics and doctors is an issue oft raised against Christians despite the fact that less than 5 such incidents have occurred in over 20 years, and only 1 in the past 10. The Hutaree militia drew headlines and a massive sting operation from the federal government as a Christian terrorism threat to rival that posed by Al Qaeda, and it turned out to be just a bunch of guys spinning yarns over the Internet.  Yet, the Marxist “liberation theology” types, not a few of whom were trained Soviet infiltrators, fanned the flames for any number of bloody murderous third world Marxist coups with their organizing and “preaching”, and the truth about their activities – and the level of support that they received from their ideological and religious fellow travelers in the U.S. – has never been documented by the media, Hollywood or our schools. Neither has the true history of our own “civil rights movement” – how it duped the black church and many well meaning white Americans into supporting Marxist subversive tactics, and how that movement was also organized by and rife with Soviet agents and sympathizers – been told, and nor can you expect them to spill the beans on their own false prophets.

The agitation propaganda against Christians will continue in the future just as it did in the Roman Empire. Christians should be heedful of the times, which means that we must be aware of what is going on, aware of where it is headed, and aware of whose agenda it is serving. That is why Christians should end these “battles” over “being represented in Hollywood” and the “culture wars” and “religious right politics” (and religious left politics) in favor of opening our eyes to the true state of affairs. Instead, we should study our Bibles, study about the early church during its time of persecution before Christianity was co-opted by the Roman Empire so that by learning about the church’s past, we can learn about the future – our future. Of course, the Bible tells us that Jesus Christ will win in the end and vindicate and save His church. But make no mistake: just as Jesus Christ suffered Gethsemane and His passion before His resurrection and glorification, the church, being less than its Master Jesus Christ, must also suffer many things. Christians must be prepared so that we might stand during the time to come, and endure to the end. This is a battle that will be won not by guns, money or governments but by faith in the God who is fighting on our side and prevail.

It must be asked: which side are you on? The side of God, or of the wicked? Though Camping was wrong, his error only proved the Bible to be correct. The Bible makes it clear that the wicked perish and that Jesus Christ and those who believe in Him will triumph. If you do not believe in Jesus Christ, make no mistake, you will be counted among the wicked, because no matter how good you perceive yourself to be, before a holy and perfect God you are a sinner. I urge you, repent of your sins, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved.

Jesus Camp: Bewitching Our Children With False Doctrines

Posted by Job on April 29, 2008

When I first started this website, I enthusiastically endorsed Jesus camps, thinking that they were an excellent way to turn children into spiritual warriors – as it WAS initially a charismatic spiritual warfare site – from an early age. Well … WOW WAS I WRONG! Jesus camps use the evil combination of spiritually seductive charismatic slain in the spirit frenzy and dominion theology politics. Instead of teaching children to pray for their enemies, to show kindness to the poor and elderly people, to interpret the Bible and discern doctrines, to worship and praise the Lord in a dignified manner becoming His glory, and to exhibit the fruits of the Holy Spirit, these folks are feeding these children false Christian doctrines and fascist notions of merging church, state, culture, etc. that will makes any of them that internalize this spiritual evil easy pickings for the anti – Christ and moreover very willing workers in the plot to create the climate where the man of sin will take power. The more things like this come out, as well as things with the Jesus Seminar, Mike Huckabee, Jeremiah Wright … Bible believing Christians have to start speaking out. There is something seriously wrong with both the religious right and the religious left, and we have to start boldly opposing it with the Word of God.

Watch this video below and pray for these children … and for their parents. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7157148037183248346

Pope Benedict XVI Plus George Bush Plus Battle Hymn Of The Republic Plus Five Supreme Court Justices Equals FASCISM!

Posted by Job on April 17, 2008

Click Here To Follow The Three Step Salvation Plan!

Now I was going to ignore Pope Benedict XVI’s visit to America. I believe in religious freedom and tolerance, and see nothing to be gained by unnecessarily provoking people concerning their deeply held beliefs. I opposed the re – publication of the Muhammad cartoons for the same reason. Not only does such behavior fail to advance the cause of Jesus Christ, but it actually impedes the spread of the gospel by producing a public witness of Christians as being fearful, dishonest, aggressive, and lacking in compassion, mercy, and respect. The best example of this is the revolting racist Ann Coulter, who uses the legitimate truth that Jesus Christ is superior as an excuse to vehemently trash (OVERWHELMINGLY NONWHITE!) Muslims while extending politically expedient pluralistic salvation to (OVERWHELMINGLY WHITE!) Jews and Mormons. So despite the incontrovertible error of the Roman Catholic Church, I was going to remain silent out of respect to members of that false religion, as many of them are good people, and I pray that they are brought out of their error into Biblical Christianity just as I was brought out of works – based prosperity/Word of Faith Pentecostal Holiness.

And then this happens. To the absolute glee of the religious right and warmongers everywhere (and regrettably to those deceived by them, for example the grieving father of a serviceman killed in Iraq that called into the Hugh Hewitt radio show last night – and yes Hewitt both continued his campaign to define religious faith in political/cultural terms and insist that Mormonism was a branch of Christianity based on it), George W. Bush plays “Battle Hymn Of The Republic” for the pontiff (whom Catholics call “the Shepherd”, not “a shepherd, which all pastors are, BUT THE SINGULAR ONE SHEPHERD). Listen, “Battle Hymn Of The Republic” IS NOT our national anthem. Now our national anthem is militaristic as well, but at least there would have been a REASON for playing it … it is our national anthem and therefore an entirely appropriate accompaniment to state ceremonies. Therefore, playing it would not have sent any religious and political messages (quite the contrary, one would be more likely to send a message by NOT playing it). But as for “Battle Hymn Of The Republic“, there is no ceremonial, traditional, etc. REASON to play that song unless you are trying to send a message, and with Bush the message was none other than the Iraq War and our national policy of warfare in general.

You would reply “So? Who did not know that George W. Bush and for that matter the Bush family is anything other than a bunch of warmongering globalists?” Well, THE POPE is what makes it an issue here. Now due to the nature of his position, the pope is SUPPOSED to be OFFICIALLY anti – war. But realize that state visits involving highly influential dignitaries are extremely sensitive matters with every detail agreed to and choreographed in advance in order to remove even the appearance of an insult by both the parties involved and the populations that they represent. And yes, a gigantic percentage of the national and global Roman Catholic Church, from laity to high ranking church officials, deeply oppose the Iraq War and what it represents: a major and global escalation of warfare and related tactics either directly (i.e. Iraq and Afghanistan) or by proxy (i.e. encouraging Ethiopia to invade Somalia). So the playing of this song – which would have been extraordinary even absent this context – would have not occurred without prior personal approval from Pope Benedict XVI himself. And Pope Benedict XVI would NEVER have given said approval unless he supported our military policy on some level, even if that support was not full or official.

Keep in mind: the pope is not under any obligation to make a public ceremony of meeting the president when visiting this country, and he certainly is not beholden to being subjected to conduct that he and his members find offensive and disagreeable while there. So had this not been acceptable to the pope, Bush would have asked to play the song, the pope would have said no, and that would have been it. Had Bush insisted, the pope would have simply refused to meet Bush in a public ceremony (or at all). Under those circumstances, NO ONE would have asked why the pope refused to meet with Bush, for the pope meets with virtually everybody. Instead, it would have been asked why Bush failed to receive the pope. And under those circumstances, an appropriate low level Vatican functionary would have been assigned the duty of “leaking” Bush’s completely unreasonable, inappropriate, and quite frankly INSANE demands to play A WAR SONG IN SUPPORT OF A WAR THAT THE VATICAN’S LONG AND WELL KNOWN POSITION IS TO OPPOSE during the visit to the (already hostile) foreign press, with the result being an international public relations firestorm. In short, on a matter such as this, the pope has all the leverage. He would not have exercised said leverage to consent to this highly unusual request – and in the process crossed the substantial portion of his church (possibly even a clear majority!) that oppose this war – had he not supported the politics, policy, and propaganda behind it on some level. Evidence of this is the absolute glee of the pro – war crowd.

And then after the Bush reception of the pope (which incidentally was not only unprecedented, but would have been IMPOSSIBLE before Billy Graham’s evangelical – Roman Catholic ecumenism, IMPOSSIBLE before Ronald Reagan created white Roman Catholic and evangelical political ecumenism, and IMPOSSIBLE before Reagan established official diplomatic relations with the Vatican including the Roman Catholic Church’s own ambassador who must be appointed by the executive branch and confirmed by the legislative one … someone PLEASE explain to me how this DOES NOT VIOLATE the First Amendment’s ban on the government’s favoring any one religious view over another) there was a reception that included Roman Catholic Supreme Court Justices Clarence Thomas, Antonin Scalia, Samuel Alito, and John Roberts at minimum. Robert Kennedy may have been there too, but Kathryn Jean Lopez, the token minority at the National Review, does not include him as a “favorite” of hers. This woman, who has lately taken to blatantly cheerleading for our nation’s institutions and culture to increasingly reflect – and be governed by – Roman Catholicism, actually claimed that the event “was a terrific celebration at the White House of the pontiff, religious freedom, and  Catholicism“! And here is another entry from this loathsome enemy of Jesus Christ where she manages to A) claim that this nation is prosperous, virtuous, and free because it was founded on Roman Catholic principles (a notion which no doubt will soon be reflected in the religious right’s approved history books an curriculum), B) insult Protestants by comparing it to Mitt Romney’s “accept Mormons as Christians evangelicals just as Roman Catholics accepted you or be declared a bigot and the enemy” speech, and C) make a gratuitous “joking” slam against Protestants just for the fun of it. (This woman is still fuming over the evangelical refusal to bow to the notion that not being in the Roman Catholic Church places them on equal footing with Mormons, oneness pentecostals, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Scientologists, or any other crackpot cult group that wants to lay claim to Jesus Christ.)

Now Christians, I know a lot of you view Islam as a global threat to our faith, freedom, prosperity, culture, and way of life, believe that this threat should be met militarily, and for that reason support the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the war on terror in general in some form. I respect those views in the hearts of sincere and well – informed Christians that hold them; I just happen to disagree with them. Still, such Christians have to start investigating the history of the Bush family, their national and international political/business/social associations and activities, and also those of the globalist societies that they are members of or consort with (which now, let us face it, incontrovertibly includes the Roman Catholic Church … this may be gratuitous, but let me remind you that the meeting of Bush and Benedict was literally one between a member of the family that made a lot of money off the Nazi regime and a former member of the regime itself … Benedict was literally a Hitler youth).

Also, study the political, military, and FINANCIAL decisions made in pursuit of this war. It bears no resemblance to actually capturing and punishing the people that have been attacking us and our interests since the early 1990s (in response, let me remind you, to our long term threats, provocations, and military actions against THEM), neutralizing any future threats, or containing whatever threat to the west and its allies that Islam allegedly poses. I will say this: the full scale invasion of foreign nations strategy of Islam has been effectively abandoned ever since their defeat by Charles Martel at Tours. The reason is THEOLOGICAL: the Muslims sincerely believed that their moon god was fighting for them at the time, was responsible for all of their victories, and that global military conquest followed by their version of the endtimes was at hand. So, when they were defeated in such a decisive manner, that forced a change in their theological outlook. Thus, despite the presence of 1 billion Muslims in the world, no one can name the last time that there has been a full scale invasion and subjugation of a non – Muslim country. (By contrast, Muslim areas have been invaded and/or controlled by the United States, Great Britain, the Soviet Union, India, etc. in just the past 50 – 75 years!) Why is this the case?

Again, refer to the fact that THERE ARE NOW ONE BILLION MUSLIMS. Immigration, evangelism, and reproduction has proven to be a much more effective method of spreading their faith than the sword, and if anything going off and launching an invasion of any western nation (which would be technologically superior AND have the backing of other western allies) would not only be suicide, but it would lead to crackdowns of the very same liberal immigration policies that have allowed millions of Muslims to enter (and spread their faith to) western nations over the past few decades. As such, the Bosnia – Serbia – Kosovo mess is a perfect illustration of the current Islam strategy. And who did the United States back? Why the very Muslims that brazenly stole a large chunk of a Christian nation for themselves.

Which proves that the entire war on terror AND the basis for it is a sham. Were it real, we would have done two things.

1) We would have gone after specific groups with a history of violence against us and our allies AND the nations that supply them with money, weapons, and hiding places. America has done the opposite by not only maintaining diplomatic relations with known terror sponsors like Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the Palestinian Authority (which is actually the closeted homosexual Yasser Arafat’s PLO, people!) to speak nothing of our “special relationship” with Pakistan (which we had with Iraq not too ago!), but we are increasing the pressure on Israel to negotiate with Hamas (just as we forced them to negotiate with the PLO, and see where THAT got Israel … less land, more intifadas, rocket attacks, a collapsing economy, and a deteriorating internal political situation). Excuse me, but what are we supposed to gain by declaring the domestic army of a sovereign nation (Iran’s Revolutionary Guard) to be a “terrorist group”? Even better: what justifies this action? The ABSOLUTE OUTRAGE that they are helping folks that share their religion FIGHT THE SUPERPOWER THAT INVADED THE NATION NEXT DOOR? Sure, like if the Soviet Union had invaded Canada and Mexico during the Cold War we would have just sat around twiddling our thumbs waiting to be next. We were willing to go to start a nuclear war over the Soviet Union putting missiles in Cuba, but Iran is supposed to just do nothing after we A) put them on our axis of evil list, B) attack the regime of the neighboring country that we put in power to attack THEM in the 1980s, C) attack the nearby Afghanistan regime that we put in power to drive out the Soviets in the 1980s, and D) spend YEARS leading an international chorus demanding economic sanctions against them after the manner that caused the deaths of from 500,000 to 1,000,000 people OF THE NATION NEXT DOOR, sanctions that were used to weaken THE NATION NEXT DOOR to prepare for an invasion of THE NATION NEXT DOOR. Why? BECAUSE IRAN IS STARTING THE VERY SAME NUCLEAR PROGRAM THAT WE ALLOWED PAKISTAN TO COMPLETE WITHOUT BATTING AN EYE? What makes it OK for Pakistan to have the potential for weapons of mass destruction but not Iran or Iraq, ESPECIALLY SINCE USAMA BIN LADEN IS HIDING IN PAKISTAN RIGHT NOW!?!? Oh well, ignore all of that information. Just repeat the right wing line: Iran hates us because we are prosperous and free and they are a bunch of backwards savages with a strange religion. We are such a peace – loving, fair nation that has never bothered or been a threat to anyone but instead has always tried to act in everyone’s best interests, so hatred, fear, resentment, etc. against us just HAS to be irrational, right? Well put it to you this way: we starved 1 million innocent Iraqis to death knowing full well that the people who ran that country would always have plenty of food to eat. Hmmm …

2. Much simpler (and shorter) than 1: practically end immigration from Muslim countries. But notice how anyone who proposes this gets condemned in the international press and by all of the “relevant” political and religious leaders as a dangerous far right xenophobe.

Since the Bush administration (and the administrations that preceded it and will follow it) are on record as vehemently opposing those steps – and anyone who advocates them! – what they are obviously engaging in is not a war on terror or on radical Islam. Instead, it is a policy of increased militarization for increased militarization’s sake. Even more concerning than the actual military action (again whether directly waged by us or by proxy) are the matters concerning intelligence, national security, and money. For the first time in world history, the various global powers have virtually carte blanche to monitor the personal and financial activities of any person or group. All it takes is an allegation of being a terrorist – a loosely defined term – and you can be detained indefinitely and without due process, including but not limited to being secretly whisked overseas to a nation where torture is legal. And where there are still (for now) limits to what they can do against people without sparking a public outcry, not so regarding assets: money and property. Keep in mind, they do not have to seize it, which would raise due process issues. All they have to do is freeze it to keep you from using it, and it has the same effect, and doing so to any individual’s or group’s (think church!) assets on a “temporary basis” requires virtually no evidence at all that needs to be made public. In the course of prosecuting this, the government has been quite prudent. They have gone after large numbers of people and groups that they know are probably guilty while at the same time going after people that they know are innocent. They are not after the guilty folks, because claiming that they are fighting terror by shutting down some charity that raises a few thousand dollars a year for Hamas when Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, etc. are funneling them hundreds of millions in cash and weapons (again, something that we are doing nothing about) is ridiculous. Instead, they are seeing how far they can get away with detaining and freezing the assets of the innocent. The answer: pretty far indeed. It is only going to be a matter of time before what has been made acceptable to people and organizations with Arabic and Muslim names is going to be commonly accepted by these cultures to everyone, just as everyone now accepts being searched at airports (which the citizenry would have opposed tooth and nail less than a generation ago).

So make no mistake: Benedict’s allowing the Battle Hymn of the Republic to be played during a state visit (which, incidentally, was not given for the Dalai Lama, a fact which not a few Buddhists expressed chagrin over, leading the loathsome Michael Medved to dedicate a show to denigrating Buddhism and the Dalai Lama … hard to appreciate coming from a religious right type that will go to the mat defending Mormonism) was nothing less than an expression of support for the Bush regime – and the new world order globalists that he serves – policy of global military and economic aggression. It also signals that Pope Benedict XVI himself is part and parcel of and servant to this same group of global imperialists just like Bush. And most importantly of all, it signals that Bush and Benedict have become brazen and bold enough to publicly celebrate this fact, with no thought given to the notion that they have to hide their ties, beliefs, and intentions. They could care less about who knows, just as Bush could care less about his approval ratings.

I am honestly of the opinion that this event was one of triumphalism. They were announcing to America – and to the world – that the globalist takeover of this nation was complete, and that America is irrevocably signed, sealed, and delivered. I do not know how long it is going to take, but everything else is going to be just a matter of winding things down and allowing things to fall into place. It could take 5 years, it could take 100, but the global consolidation is going to happen. After all, it is no accident that Bush’s releasing proposals on global warming that endorse our moving ever closer to global economic and political integration was timed to so closely coincide with the pope’s visit. After all, the pope has been on board with the global warming agenda for some time now.

It is also a good time to point out how both sides of the political aisle have contributed to these developments. For instance, conservatism pulled off the merging of evangelicals, Roman Catholics, Mormons, and Jews to create the ecumenical pluralist religious right, and in doing so effectively muted the political voice of Protestant fundamentalists. Liberalism, meanwhile, contributed their part by allowing any criticism of this state of affairs to be called “anti – Catholic bigotry” (piggybacking on the black civil rights movement!). Indeed, such rhetoric was key to creating the climate where the Supreme Court could rule to legalize school vouchers: the religious right was successful to use the language of the left to convince the body politic that the only reason why no one had ever seen the obvious wisdom of sending low income inner city PROTESTANT black children to Roman Catholic schools en masse (after all, they provide SUCH GREAT DISCIPLINE for the boys and OUTSTANDING MORAL INSTRUCTION for the girls!) was because of the HORRIBLE discrimination and persecution against Catholics in our past. Hilarious that the very same conservatives that will go to their grave denying that this country was ever racist against blacks – or if it were that any legal remedy is required to address it – are perfectly willing to sit around and call virtually everyone living in this country 50 years ago of allowing their interpretation of the First Amendment to be motivated (or distorted) by their animus of Roman Catholics. If nothing else shows who is actually running this country now, that does.

Since the American piece has fallen into place (even if all of the details have yet to play out, but trust me they will in very short order to the point where this nation will be unrecognizable within 10 years, and no I am not talking about demographics), what – apart from getting even more involved in the third world, which by the way George W. Bush was a huge trailblazer on – is next? My conjecture: Israel is next.

Now please view Independent Conservative’s antichrist One Has Landed. Pope Benedict XVI in America. Why This Event is Nothing to Cheer About! for a more theological treatment of the implications of the Pope visiting America and being so vigorously received. It includes the following:

Stem Cell Research Supporters! Cow – Human Embryo Lives Three Days

Posted by Job on April 4, 2008

Cow-human cross embryo lives three days – Worthy News

HUMAN-cow embryos have been created in a world first at Newcastle University in England, hailed by the scientific community, but labelled “monstrous” by opponents.

A team has grown hybrid embryos after injecting human DNA into eggs taken from cows’ ovaries, which had most of their genetic material removed.

The embryos survived for three days and are intended to provide a limitless supply of stem cells to develop therapies for diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and spinal cord injuries, overcoming a worldwide shortfall in human embryos.

Dr Teija Peura, director of human embryonic stem cell laboratories at the Australian Stem Cell Centre, said somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) had been done between animal species, but the “99 per cent human” embryos could boost research.

“If successful, they would provide an important additional research tool to help realisation of stem cell-based therapies for human diseases,” Dr Peura said.

“All avenues of research, including SCNT . . . need to be encouraged if we want to fulfil the promises of stem cell technologies.”

But her colleague, Dr Andrew Laslett, warned the process was yet to yield a stem cell line and so it remained only an academic possibility.

In January, the Fertilisation and Embryology Authority gave Newcastle University a licence to do the work, but the British Parliament would debate the longer-term future of such research next month.

Under the licence, embryos are not allowed to be developed beyond 14 days.

Preliminary findings of the embryo program were presented in Israel last week, and the head of the university’s Institute of Human Genetics, Prof John Burn, said further evaluation would be done before the full details were published.

“If the team can produce cells which will survive in culture, it will open the door to a better understanding of disease processes without having to use precious human eggs,” Prof Burn said.

“Cells grown using animal eggs cannot be used to treat patients on safety grounds, but they will help bring nearer the day when new stem cell therapies are available.”

The Catholic Church in Britain branded the creations as “monstrous” – a view supported by Caroline Chisholm Centre for Health Ethics director Fr Kevin McGovern.

“An almost-human embryo is being created and then it’s being destroyed,” he said.

“I cannot see that that respects human life or the dignity of human life.

“Human beings – or even almost human embryos – are not just things that you can use in a laboratory experiment.

“What is being created is life.

“No one knows exactly what would grow from these embryos.

“If this is approved in the UK, there will be renewed pressure to permit it here, and we will travel further down the slippery slope of allowing just about anything.”

It is not the first time hybrids have been created.

The method was pioneered by Dr Hui Zhen Sheng’s team at the Shanghai Second Medical University, China, where she fused human cells with rabbit eggs to produce early stage embryos, which in turn yielded human stem cells.

John McCain Accepts The Endorsement Of Heretic John Hagee!

Posted by Job on February 28, 2008

First Huckabee, then McCain, who was on record in 1999 as stating that he did not want to overturn Roe v. Wade. McCain also has a long record of opposing many of the things on Hagee’s political and religious agendas. This just proves that the guy who denies the Messiahship of Jesus Christ, claims that Jesus Christ was killed by Rome for His political beliefs, prophesied that the United States would attack Iran in 2007 (and is still demanding that we attack Iran!) and preaches dual covenant theology is simply in it for the power and money.

On The Potential Reunification Of The Russian Orthodox Church And The Roman Catholic Church

Posted by Job on February 19, 2008

The leader of Russia’s powerful Orthodox Church played down hopes of an imminent reconciliation with Rome in an interview on Monday, saying Catholic missionary activity in Russia prevented the churches from restoring ties.Speculation has flourished about a possible historic meeting between Russia’s Patriarch Alexiy II and Pope Benedict XVI after both sides indicated they were open in principle to healing a centuries-old rift between Western and Russian Christianity.

Russia is by far the biggest Orthodox Christian church and has undergone a big religious revival since the demise of the atheist Soviet Union. President Vladimir Putin, once a KGB spy, is now open about his Orthodox faith.

“Stopping us from restoring relations are some unsolved issues between our churches,” Alexiy told the Polish daily Dziennik in an interview published on Monday. “We have many questions about the missionary and charitable activities of Catholic monks and clergy in Russia and CIS (former Soviet) countries.”

The Russian Orthodox Church, by far the dominant religion in Russia, has sharply criticised the Vatican for creating new dioceses on its turf and has accused Catholic priests of attempting to poach Orthodox believers as converts to Rome. Alexiy said some Catholic clerics “started to see the ex-Soviet Union as a spiritual desert to be dealt with”.

The Catholic Church says it is only doing what is necessary to attend to the needs of Russia’s estimated one million Catholics, mostly of East European or German origin, who were neglected during decades of religious persecution in the Soviet Union. “We have always said that a Russian visit of (former) Pope John Paul was possible only when all the problems between our churches were resolved. Unfortunately, it has not happened until now,” Alexiy said.

“In Russia and Ukraine, Catholics always treated the Orthodox believers more as enemies than as brothers in faith … the activities of Catholics in Russia have created many challenges for the dialogue of our churches.” “These matters need to be resolved”.

In particular, Alexiy criticised Catholic shelters which he said brought up orphans from Orthodox families in the Catholic tradition, saying this “is hurting us exceptionally”. (Please realizethat Roman Catholics wish to do the same to American Protestant children using school vouchers and charter schools in the education system with your tax dollars. It is almost as if the public education system has been turned undesirable in some areas on purpose, and please recall that both Bill Clinton and George W. Bush support charter schools, and more than a few Democrats even support vouchers.)

Archbishop Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz said last October at a farewell news conference after 16 years heading the Catholic Church in Russia that the Orthodox “could have been better to us”, adding he never sought to convert Orthodox Christians.

Christianity split into two branches in the Great Schism of 1054, when the Orthodox Church broke away from the Roman church in a row over papal authority and the insertion of a disputed clause into the Creed, the central statement of Christian faith.

Ultimately, both these bodies will recognize their mutual enemy, evangelical Christianity, and join forces. The Russian Orthodox church, with the help of the Putin state, has worked mightily to repress Southern Baptist and Pentecostal evangelistic efforts in the nation. For all of Putin’s professions of faith, he is primarily a nationalist, and knows that a major reason for the failure of the Soviet regime was its persecution of religious people. Putin now knows – obviously from studying history – that the state can become much more powerful and nationalistic by co – opting a spiritually empty version of state religion. Let us see … you had Constantinism, the Holy Roman Empire, feudalism, Nazi Germany (not to mention religio – fascist Italy and Japan), the various Islamic states, and oh yes how could I forget “Christian values” America (whether those values be liberal or conservative, they still seem to wind up with our bombing indigent brown – skinned people in places where there tend to be large oil reserves like the Kennedy – LBJ adventure in Viet Nam and the Iraq/Afghanistan nightmare that Bush, Clinton, and then Bush have truthfully had us in since the early 1990s, and that was after our arming Saddam to fight Iran in the 1980s). But the upshot here is that if the Russian Orthodox Church reopens official ties with the Roman Catholic Church, it will be because tsar Vladimir Putin decides that it is in the best interests of mother Russia and on mother Russia’s terms.

So why would Rome be amenable to tsar Putin’s terms? Simple: demographics. The Roman Catholic Church has been virtually bankrupted of numbers and influence in Europe, and is facing a huge challenge from Islam (and also from evangelical Protestant Christianity, though to a much lesser extent). By contrast, the third world portion of the church is exploding in numbers. Not only is this severely hurting Rome in terms of financing and administration, as they are used to transferring wealth from the west to the third world but also largely governing the third world churches from the west, but creates huge challenges for the church doctrinally. The Roman Catholic Church already had to beat back a huge liberation theology challenge coming from Latin America and Africa in the 1980s (the current pope being the one tasked with crushing it with an iron fist), and while liberation theology is now no longer a great threat (ironically because of the collapse of Soviet communism, but also because now that it has largely been accepted within liberal and moderate Christianity and hence no longer has its radical subversive appeal) there are other ways the third world segment of Roman Catholicism is going to assert itself, including demanding official recognition for their local syncretized flavors of Catholicism (first off it isn’t as if the Roman Catholic Church didn’t spend centuries doing this in Europe, and also John Paul got the ball rolling by beatifying plenty of third world shamans, mystics, witch doctors, etc. as “saints.” As a matter of fact, some Roman Catholic observers claim that unless things change, Ratzinger may well be the last European pope for awhile.

And that is why change is precisely what Ratzinger has in mind. Ratzinger said on the day that he was chosen as pope that his primary concern would be rebuilding the European church, and that he chose his papal name precisely for that reason. Doing business with tsar Putin would rapidly increase the number of white Europeans in the Roman Catholic Church, and just as important enrich the Vatican with enough oil wealth to transfer it to the third world churches and keep the third world Vatican loyalists in firm power. The even better part is that as the Russian Orthodox Church is the largest and most influential of the eastern orthodox churches, once they realign with Rome, the other orthodox churches in Greece, Turkey, etc. will have little choice but to fall in line.

So what is in it for tsar Putin? Simple: the Vatican wields considerable political and cultural influence in the nations of a lot of his enemies. Case in point: the United States and its five Roman Catholics on the Supreme Court. Remember the huge backlash when George W. Bush attempted to place an evangelical Christian on the court … Harriet Miers was sacked and replaced with the majority vote Samuel Alito. And YOU, evangelical Christian Republicans, thought that it was about Roe. v. Wade, didn’t you? Or didn’t you figure that the Vatican would be willing to abide abortion for a generation or three if it meant positioning themselves politically for the long haul?

Tsar Putin knows that thanks to the Christian right, influence with the Vatican means influence over America. And the Vatican is more than willing to let Tsar Putin have what he wants, because, well, the Vatican knows that 100 years from now Putin will be off the scene and they will still be around. So long as they will have Russia then they are willing to mollify Putin now.

New Mexico Christian Photographer Taken Before Human Rights Commission for Refusing To Photograph Homosexual Commitment Ceremony

Urgent Policy Memo!!!

From: Scrofandus, Secretary to His Infernal Majesty

To: Project Administration Team, United States of America

Re: Tactics

Demons, Imps, Afreets, and Divels of PAT-USA:

His Infernal Majesty has noted your zeal, and your considerable success so far, in the de-Christianizing of the U.S.A. He has, however, instructed me to remind you that there is an
overarching strategic principle that must never be ignored, no matter how good the tactical situation looks in the short run. As our master delights in quoting the enemys Scripture for his own purposes, I refer you to the words of that porch-climber, Paul of Tarsus: [F]or Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness (II Corinthians 11:14-15).

We didnt get where we are today by presenting ourselves to the American people as leering hobgoblins. They only listen to us when we are perceived as ministers of righteousness! Let me call your attention to a single case as an example of tactical
heavy-handedness that could undo all we have achieved so far. The Human Rights Division of New Mexico is currently prosecuting a mom-and-pop photography business, Elane Photography, for declining to take pictures of a lesbian commitment ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Huguenin, the owners and operators of this small business, will be, at the very least, financially ruined if the division rules against them.

It goes without saying that we here in Hell endorse and encourage lesbian
commitment ceremonies and every other aspect of the gay rights movement: after all, we created it. If it werent for our efforts, there would be no gay rights movement. But how have we made all our progress? By tirelessly presenting sodomites as a poor, oppressed, put-upon, loveable minority persecuted by an intolerant, tyrannical, religiously bigoted majoritythats how! Now, thanks to your heavy-handed tactics, the shoe is on the other foot. Our people are now the intolerant, bullying, bigoted tyrants, coming down like
sixteen tons on this poor, defenseless married couple and their pitifully tiny business.

His Infernal Majesty is not amused.

You have morphed downtrodden gays into the steamroller of Big Sodomy, arrogantly crushing all the little people in its path. Instead of ministers of righteousness, our servants at the New Mexico Human Rights Division are unmasked as bureaucratic bullies. There is a time and a place for brute force; we can all agree to that. But in the long run, brute force must inevitably fail. The Third Reich was wonderful while it lasted, but where is it now? His
Infernal Majesty has asked me to remind you that we dont march people into Hell at gunpoint. They must go there of their own free will, rejoicing, singing, patting themselves on the back because they think they are going to Heaven. There must be no doubt in their minds that when they serve us, they are doing the right thing.

But you have now made room for such a doubt. You know that mortals, and Americans more than most, always rally to the underdog. The gaysstatus as victims is their most precious resource, and you are squandering it! His Infernal Majesty strongly desires that the gay rights movement should succeed, and thus estrange America from The Enemy Above. He has asked me to remind you that if you cannot implement this program, Hell is full of devils who can and will. On my own, I take this opportunity to remind you that a few millennia in the Lake of Fire is a marvelous aid to concentration: but I must not be heavy-handed.Please try to stay with the program!

Here is another link: Christian Photographer Hauled before Commission for Refusing Same-Sex Job
By John Jalsevac

New Mexico, January 30, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The case of a Christian photographer who refused to photograph a same-sex “commitment ceremony”, was heard before the New Mexico Human Rights Division on Monday.

A same-sex couple asked Elaine Huguenin, co-owner with her husband of Elane Photography, to photograph a “commitment ceremony” that the two women wanted to hold. Huguenin declined because her Christian beliefs are in conflict with the message communicated by the ceremony.

The same-sex couple filed a complaint with the New Mexico Human Rights Division, which is now trying Elane Photography under state antidiscrimination laws for sexual orientation discrimination.

The Alliance Defense fund (ADF), a legal alliance that is dedicated to defending and protecting religious freedom, sanctity of life, marriage, and family, is currently defending Elane Photography.

“On Monday we defended Elane Photography in court, saying basically that no person should be required to help others advance a message that they disagree with,” ADF Senior Counsel and Senior Vice-President of the Office of Strategic Initiatives, Jordan Lorence, told LifeSiteNews in an interview today. “That’s a basic First Amendment principle. The
government is punishing Elaine photography for refusing to take photos which obviously advance the messages sent by the same-sex ceremony – that marriage can be defined as two women or two men.”

In their complaint the homosexual couple has sought for an injunction against Elane Photography that will forbid them from ever again refusing to photograph a same-sex ceremony. They have also requested attorney’s fees.

“Depending on how far up the ladder this goes of appeal that could be a lot of money,” said Lorence. “Hundreds of thousands of dollars.” Lorence said that the ADF is framing its case in a similar fashion to the 1995 Supreme Court “Hurley” Case. “In the Boston St. Patrick’s
Day Parade case the US Supreme Court said that the State of Massachusetts could not punish a privately run parade because it refused to allow a homosexual advocacy group in to carry banners and signs in the parade. They said that would be compelled speech,
ordering the parade organizers to help promote a message they do not want to promote. To apply the discrimination law that way violates freedom of speech. We are making a similar kind of argument in this case.”

Lorence said that this current case is demonstrative of a “tremendous threat” facing those with traditional views on marriage and family.

“I think that this is a tremendous threat to First Amendment rights. Those who are advocating for same-sex marriage and for rights based upon sexual orientation keep arguing, ‘We are not going to apply these against churches. We are going to protect people’s right of conscience. We are all about diversity and pluralism.’”

But, in practice, says Lorence, “Business owners with traditional views or church owners with traditional definitions of marriage are now vulnerable for lawsuits under these nondiscrimination laws. There are 20 states that have these laws where they ban sexual orientation discrimination. Most of the major cities in the United States also have these kinds of ordinances. So these are a big threat, as the
federal government debates whether to make this a blanket nationwide law.

“We see that these [non-discrimination laws] are not rectifying some unjust discrimination, but being used to punish those who speak out in favor of traditional marriage and sexual restraint,” he concluded.

Lorence said that the ADF is “cautiously optimistic that the commission will do the right thing.” If the New Mexico Commission, however, decides against Elane Photography, Lorence said that the ADF would appeal the decision all the way up to the US Supreme Court if necessary.

Black Liberal Apostate AME Pastor: Mormons Face More Discrimination Than Blacks!

Posted by Job on February 2, 2008

Cecil Murray is the name, and liberal Christian apostasy is his game. This really is all you need to know about the guy: Chip Murray is a Senior Fellow in the Center for Religion and Civic Culture at the University of Southern California, where he holds the Tanzy Chair in Christian Ethics.

Now just like all Southern Baptist churches are not Rick Warren Mike Huckabee Brian McLaren Purpose Driven emergent apostasy centers, not all African Methodist Episcopal churches are liberal, or for that matter have people like Jamal Harrison – Bryant (and his father, an AME bishop) running them. Still, there is a huge liberal contingent in the AME church, and Cecil Murray and his Los Angeles First African Methodist Episcopal Church is part of it.

Now we have to ask the question: why is Cecil Murray giving an assist to Mormon Mitt Romney? First off, the guy obviously knows about the long history of Mormon racism in their policies, writings, and doctrines. Second, Murray is not an ideological or political fellow traveler with Romney. If Murray wasn’t liberal, would he hold a chair at USC? Nay, his holding a chair at USC is due to how he let his church be used as a political organizing hub for Tom Bradley and Jesse Jackson back in the day.

But this is the clearest indication. Please note, in the interview for Article6Blog.com, a pro – Romney site, that Murray all but says that Mormons are Christians too! And Murray also uses the “I have fought the good fight of faith” words of Paul as he was facing martyrdom TO DESCRIBE MORMON MITT ROMNEY’S PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN!

The most chilling part was Murray’s statement that Americans are not free to vote for whom they choose. He says that a person cannot choose to vote against a Mormon because of religious differences and claim that it is a private decision because voting is a public matter. So, Murray would be just fine with private citizens that vote against people because of race, gender, marital status, religion, or sexual orientation being federally prosecuted under the auspices of the Civil Rights Act! The initial stage would be, say, voting against someone because they are gay would be illegal. But the next stage would be to make voting against a candidate because they support gay marriage illegal! To borrow language from the Star Wars series: “Ah, the force (meaning spirit of anti – Christ!) is strong with this one Cecil Murray!”

You might be wondering why I have not yet explained why a longtime black liberal Democrat civil rights activist is giving an assist to a conservative Republican from a racist cult in the Presidential race. It has nothing to do with his taking a principled opposition to all bigotry. Black Democrats like this guy ignore racist attacks on black Republicans and the race tactics of white Democrats like Robert Byrd, Fritz Hollings, and oh yeah Bill Clinton (whose racebaiting is only being opposed by SOME black Democrats because he happens to be running against one) all the time. You also don’t hear people like this saying or doing anything about the anti – Semitism on the hard left either. It is slightly more plausible that this fellow might sincerely remember the support that Mitt Romney and his father gave for the civil rights movement in the 1960s. Fine, except that George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush also supported the civil rights movement. As a matter of fact, George W. Bush worked for the Urban League while on AWOL from the National Guard duty that he was using to dodge the Viet Nam War draft.

So no matter what honorable secular motives you might want to ascribe to Reverend Murray, the truth is that it is all about Jesus Christ. Please recall the scene of Moses in the desert when he came down from Mount Sinai and saw the children of Israel defiling themselves with the worship of the golden calf (likely Baal worship, see this article from a site on ex – Mormon Christians on freemasonry and Baal worship) and said “Who is on the LORD’s side? let him come unto me!” in Exodus 32:26. Those who were on the Lord’s side stood up and proceeded to fight the Lord’s battle against the enemy. If you are on the Lord’s side, you will fight for the Lord. If you are not, you will fight for Satan. This fellow is a member of the apostate Christian left, so it is only natural that he will cast aside his political and racial considerations and lend support to his fellow apostate. Who knows, this guy has probably heard a ton of people like me tell him that his Christianity is false over the decades, so he feels moved to stand up for another group that people like me denounces as false. Of course, all he is doing is demonstrating that orthodox Christians who have been denouncing his liberal Christianity all these decades were right then and are still right now. A lot of evangelicals claim that we are driving people like this away from the faith and into apostasy and cases like this are why we need to stop. I say people like Chip Murray and Frank Schaefer (liberal/emergent son of the famous fundamentalist preacher Francis Schaefer) are why we need to keep going!

You do realize, of course, is the “you are for God or against Him!” talk is what the enemy hates. Satan wants you to think that you can be moderate, bland, inoffensive, tolerant, and open. A lot of evangelical Christians honestly define themselves largely by a rejection of fundamentalism that they have convinced themselves is Phariseeism and legalism. First off evangelicals, legalism is rejecting sola fide. If you care so much about that, why are so many of you seeking ecumenical relations with the neo – Pelagian Roman Catholic Church? Also, evangelicals, the Pharisees’ problem was rejection of Jesus Christ. Paul was a Pharisee, remember? So was Nicodemus. So were the many Jerusalem priests that Acts records as converting in response to Peter’s preaching. PLENTY of Pharisee zealots came to Jesus Christ. But do you know who didn’t? The Sadducees. The Bible does not mention a single Sadducee coming to Jesus Christ, and lest we forget it was the Sadducees that were the ones that were so cultured, modernistic, open, and tolerant in embracing Hellenism and the Roman government as opposed to the backwards old – fashioned Pharisee religious fanatics and the uneducated common riff – raff fishermen, carpenters, laborers, poor, etc. that made up the vast majority of the Jewish people.

So you might call the “Who is on the LORD’s side? let him come unto me!” cry as being close – minded, self – righteous, hateful, condemning fundamentalism. I say that it is the logical extension of what Jesus Christ said to the Laodicean church: that it is better to be hot or cold than to be lukewarm. Lukewarm people know the truth and won’t declare it or stand for it for fear of the people, because of their desire not to be rejected by the same world that hates and rejects Jesus Christ. They are the ones that ultimately assent to the constant demands that we compromise our faith in one area or another despite knowing full well that it is wrong. That is why lukewarmness is the quickest, surest path to apostasy and is also the hardest path to get off. And yes, lukewarm folk are very much self – righteous and prideful, because they are warm and tickled pink all over that they are not like that rigid backwards fundamentalist over there hating and condemning everybody. Well, folks, to see the logical conclusion of that type of thinking, read that Cecil Murray interview linked above or watch the video below and remember: you are either all the way for God or all the way against Him. There is no middle ground.

By the way, I just want you to know: this has nothing to do with politics. I truthfully could care less who you vote for. I was with Pastor Bill Keller on this “a vote for Romney is a vote for Satan thing initially, but what am I going to do, go tell you to run out and vote for John McCain? Mike Huckabee? Hillary Clinton? Barack HUSSEIN Obama? Ron Paul? Like any one of them is supposed to be “God’s anointed” like David or something? Or tell you not to vote at all? Far be it from me to do such a thing. Your vote is between you and God, so whoever you vote for make sure you pray and honor God in doing so, make it His decision and His vote and not yours. But as important as politics is, this is far bigger. This world, politics and all, is but for a time and will pass away. This is about where you will spend eternity, and that will be determined by where your heart is: with this world or 100% with Jesus Christ. Even if it is just a little bit with this world, Jesus Christ said that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. God is merciful and forgives sinful actions, but His grace does not cover wicked hearts. Remember: Jesus Christ said that you even have to reject your own mother and father to come and follow Him! Will you give up all to follow Him? Or will you turn aside and sorrowfully go away like the rich young ruler? Again, see the video below, it is obvious which path Cecil Murray chose. I pray for you today that you will choose a different one. Follow the Three Step Salvation Plan right now!

Mike Huckabee Is Insane And Dangerous

Posted by Job on January 10, 2008

On the Fox News debate tonight, the moderator directed a question to Mike Huckabee on what his response would be in the case of another incident like the Iranian gunboat confrontation. Huckabee, totally unprepared for the very simple question, gives a rambling incomprehensible initial response, but closes with “I will make it clear to them that the gates of hell will be unleashed upon them” in his preacher conviction voice. And, to my shock, the South Carolina crowd began to vigorously applaud! Now Ronald Reagan’s claiming that America was New Jerusalem with his “shining city on the hill” rhetoric (appeals to the Mormon belief that New Jerusalem and the garden of Eden’s location in Missouri or thereabouts perhaps?) was bad enough, but doesn’t a preacher invoking apocalyptic rhetoric towards an Iranian confrontation concern anybody but me?

What was far worse was that the cheering audience members seemed to have NO IDEA how so utterly wrong this was on so many levels, starting with theological ones. Now I found out that Hillary Clinton is insane for the first time yesterday. I already knew this about the cross dresser shoot unarmed black men dead in the streets and then accuse them of being drug dealers late term abortion supporting Rudy Giuliani and the Star Trek Deep Space Nine shape shifting chameleon Mitt Romney. And then there is, you know, Ron Paul. I was going to vote for Ron Paul. Did you know that? Anyway. But I did not know this about Hillary until yesterday or Huckabee hound until today. So what is the deal with all of the psychotic people running for president this year? Has it always been this way?

But the scary part is not Huckabee himself. There are going to be crazy people until Jesus Christ comes back. It is the gleeful response of the South Carolina debate attendees. That means that just in that very room there were hundreds of people willing and gleeful to follow this crazy man into the apocalypse. I could not help thinking that these are the very people that will one day follow the beast, commonly called the anti – Christ.

Communists Accuse Russian State Television Of Using Christmas Church Service For Kremlin Propaganda

Posted by Job on January 9, 2008

Original link here. Remember that 1) Bush likes Putin and 2) the Russian government and the Orthodox Church are teaming up to suppress other forms of Christianity in Russia and 3) the Orthodox Church and the Russian state are getting ever more cozy under Putin.

Russia’s opposition Communists on Tuesday accused state television of turning a church service to mark Orthodox Christmas into a campaign advertisement for the man the Kremlin is backing to be the next president.

State-run channels repeatedly swung their cameras on to Dmitry Medvedev, favoured by President Vladimir Putin to succeed him in a March 2 election, when he attended an Orthodox Christmas Eve service in Moscow, they said.

“State television committed blasphemy by turning the transmission of the Christmas liturgy from the Church of Christ the Saviour into a show called ‘the Birth of the successor’,” senior Communist lawmaker Valery Rashkin said in a statement.

Cameras broadcasting the Jan. 6 service for the Channel One and Rossiya channels — main source of news for most Russians — focused on 42-year-old Medvedev instead of the altar, he said.

“All the thoughts of believers, and of any cultured person, at this moment are focused on one thing: the Saviour coming into the world. A church is not the place where the authorities and state television should organise reality shows,” said Rashkin.

The service was led by Patriach Alexiy II. No one was available to comment on the broadcasts at either of the two television stations.

During last year’s televised Easter service, Putin and senior Kremlin figures were shown on the altar when the Patriarch praised them for restoring Russia’s stability.

Putin is required by the constitution to step down when his second term ends this year year. Opinion polls show Medvedev is overwhelming favourite to win the election because of endorsement from the popular Putin.

The opposition accuses the Kremlin of using its control of the biggest television stations to ensure positive coverage for Medvedev while giving his challengers only limited access to the airwaves.

After decades of state atheism under Communist rule, the Russian Orthodox Church is experiencing a revival. Politicians are frequently seen attending church services and the Communists — now in opposition — no longer espouse atheism publicly as they did during the Soviet era.

Many Orthodox churches celebrate Christmas on Jan. 7, not Dec. 25 as elswhere in the Christian world, because they operate on the older Julian calendar.

Digital Traffic Cameras Used To Arrest Motorists For Eating And Smoking

Posted by Job on December 29, 2007

More mark of the beast type stuff for the Christians that are into that sort of thing  (which admittedly includes me). But for my “Christians should not be picking the lesser of two evils” conviction, something like this would draw me back into the Ron Paul camp.

Original link: New super-cameras mean no hiding for drivers who smoke, eat or use a phone

Digital speed cameras which capture drivers smoking or eating at the wheel are being introduced nationwide in a new move to hammer motorists. Drivers will also face fines, bans and even jail for infringements such as driving without a seatbelt, using a hand-held mobile phone or overtaking across double white lines. The hi-tech DVD cameras, which have instant playback, will also be used to provide photographic evidence against those eating sandwiches or rolling-up cigarettes at the wheel. These are now considered serious offences under new guidelines drawn up for prosecutors. The development will massively increase the number of fines and prosecutions against normally law-abiding drivers for relatively minor offences.

As well as being fined £60 and given three points on their licences, motorists now face two years in jail if their actions are considered to have been a factor in dangerous driving. (Two years in jail for eating and smoking behind the wheel today, death for possessing a Bible tomorrow.) Virtually every police force in England, Wales and Scotland is now equipped with the new digital cameras. They were given Home Office approval in April but are quietly being rolled out nationwide. More than 100 have been sold. The manufacturers have said their order book is full until next April.

The DVD cameras can operate as conventional speed traps. But thanks to the instant playback, they also double up to photograph motorists flouting laws other than speeding. Set up by a police officer on sites such as motorway bridges, they constantly scan the cars and can digitally record drivers behind the wheel committing a vast array of minor traffic offences.

Crucially the new technology, called Concept, allows officers to play back the footage to locate, view and capture the offence instantly. Photographs taken using the device show how effective it is, capturing pictures such as a man apparently steering his Renault with his bare feet and the driver of an Alfa Romeo with a mobile phone clamped to his ear. The device is made and sold by Tele-Traffic UK whose CEO, Jon Bond, is a former police chief superintendent in charge of speed cameras in Warwickshire. (Benito Mussolini said that the definition of fascism is the corporatization of government power. See this link on fascism.)

He said: “It is the first camera to record offences other than speeding and give an instant playback.”If the camera is being used for speed enforcement, but the police officer spots another driving offence being committed – or even thinks he saw something – he can play it back in a second. The offences are easily and quickly detectable.” (In version 2.0 of this technology, people will be able to quickly and easily doctor the footage to implicate in crimes whoever the government wants to destroy.) Mr Bond, whose Warwick-based company employs 20, added: “At present, officers can record an offence such as driving with a mobile phone clamped to their ear or without a seatbelt but would then have to look through perhaps two hours of tape in order to find it again. “Concept means that those operating the camera can digitally log everything. They are linked to the team in the back office who can instantly find the offence, see the proof and send out a penalty charge notice to the car’s registered owner. “This will cut down massively on the amount of time police officers have to spend on paperwork and so speed up prosecutions. The days of the police having to chase after people who are infringing the law in these ways are gone. That will make the roads a safer place.” (Fascists have always used public safety as a justification for their crimes, going back to the days of the Roman Empire’s notorious Pax Romana, “peace of Rome”. Many theologians assert that the beast of Revelation prophecy was fulfilled in the near term by the Roman Empire, but that the far term fulfillment will be the anti – Christ’s regime. The problem is that because of the conservative ideological and political bent of most that interpret the Bible literally, they are convinced that the anti – Christ’s regime will be a leftist one rather than one that will use religion and big business towards his own ends.)

The Concept digital DVD technology costs £17,750. But police forces who already use Tele-Traffic’s existing analogue (non-digital) system, can upgrade for a fraction of that price. Smoking at the wheel was recently included in the Highway Code as something which courts can consider as a factor when police accuse drivers of failing to have proper control of their vehicle. (Rather, it was recently included as something that they could use as a prototype, test case, trial run, etc. to see if the system could be used to track other things, like possession of Bibles, later on.)

More than 300,000 drivers a day are still illegally using hand-held phones at the wheel, recent government figures revealed. (And they know this how? I bet they have similar statistics on the number of people engaging in LEGAL activities … or at least things that are legal right now.) The penalties for using a handheld phone while driving, which was outlawed in 2003, were increased in February this year from a £30 fine to £60, plus three penalty points. (Please note what I just said about “things that are legal right now.”)
Under new sentencing rules, motorists using hand-held mobile phones could be jailed for two years and be disqualified if this was an aggravating factor in dangerous driving. Those who kill while using a mobile face 14 years behind bars, under a charge of causing death by dangerous driving. (Two years if no one is harmed but only 14 if you kill someone? Proof that the motivation for this is government control and not concern for human life in a nation that has such a shortage of abortion doctors that they are considering training nurses to do the procedure.)

Last October, Mr Bond and his Tele-Traffic team were under fire after admitting to undercover reporters posing as customers that speed cameras were a “scam” and that setting up cameras in new areas was the equivalent of having “a blank chequebook” that would result in “bucketfuls” of cash. (There you go. It will be easy to manipulate this system for the government to manufacture, say, “evidence” that a certain Bible – based preacher or leader of a home church or homeschool movement is a violent child molester.) Self-styled Captain Gatso of the campaign group Motorists Against Detection said: “This is yet another example of the Big Brother surveillance society where there’s no escape from the cameras.” (Notice how the media is doing the job of the state by belittling those that oppose the system.)

Christians Trying To Force Public School Teacher Out Of His Job

Posted by Job on December 28, 2007

Two articles:

Teacher Draws Supporters, Protesters over Anti-Christian Comments

Christians Urged to Rally Behind Student Suing Teacher

I admit that not too long ago this would have been filed in my “Christian persecution in America” category because of the anti – Christian remarks made by the leftist high school history teacher James Corbett. But now, I think that things such as this are nonsense, just typical religious right Republican politics that has nothing to do with advancing the cause of Jesus Christ. Now as Paul demonstrated in Romans, there is nothing wrong with asserting your legal rights when it comes to A) staying alive and B) preserving your ability to preach the gospel. That is not what these people are doing. Instead, they are playing “tit for tat” nonsense games … since Christians – excuse me – people that “have Judeo – Christian values and represent a Judeo – Christian worldview” have been sued and fired for offending the sensibilities of Jews, Muslims, homosexuals, and whoever else Christians now want to get in on the act of using the power of the anti – Christ state to shut people up. What they do not realize is that even if they win, all they are doing is increasing the power of the state to frighten, coerce, intimidate, control, etc. individuals.

All nonsense like this accomplishes is to increase the climate of fear, strife, and division in this country, and to redirect the actions and emotions of Christians away from doing what Jesus Christ actually called us to do and towards nonsense instead. These 200 – 300 people that are assembling for this “prayer vigil” (since when does pressuring the state into firing someone constitute a “prayer vigil”?) should have been out helping the poor, standing up for the oppressed, or preaching the gospel somewhere, especially in some place other than high income suburban Mission Viejo California. These people think that they are so high, mighty, powerful, and intimidating because God is on their side that they can march on a high school knowing full well that the school officials are trying to protect themselves from a public relations fiasco and a civil suit that will cost them their jobs but how many of them do you believe would spend five seconds passing out gospel tracts in some Oakland, Watts, or Compton public housing project? After nightfall? Then we would really see how bold the Holy Spirit has made these people, wouldn’t we?

And if these folks want to influence the government, why not sue or march and hold prayer vigils demanding that the inner city public schools in those areas offer the same AP courses and hire the same qualified teachers as the guy that they are trying to get fired? But no, you won’t see that happening, because a lot of these good Christian folk honestly don’t want their kids to have to compete with the Oakland or south central Los Angeles kids to get into UCLA.

As far as James Corbett, of course the fellow is going to be hostile to Christianity. The fellow is unsaved. How do you expect him to act? And of course the government school system that is part and parcel of this unsaved world is going to be hostile to Christianity and try to influence people against Jesus Christ. Why do we expect any different? Government schools acting in an ungodly manner is not our problem. Our problem is CHRISTIAN schools (and charities and churches) acting ungodly. Personally, I would rather put up with a public school that I know is ungodly and expect to act ungodly than a church or Christian school run by a bunch of liars, backbiters, self – seekers, and hypocrites. What type of church do you suppose these people that are filing a lawsuit trying to get a man fired for the HORRIBLE CRIME of not respecting a religion that he does not believe in (just as these same people do not respect Islam, Hinduism, Mormonism, etc.) attend? Maybe I am guilty of prejudging, but I have my guess.

Christians, instead of trying to force the world to pretend that it loves you using the state or pressure tactics, accept that the world hates Jesus Christ and rejoice in the fact that this very same Jesus Christ has already overcome the world. The root cause of this is that Christians just like this are ignoring that the Bible teaches us to reject the world. They are following a false political ideology that teaches them to love and conform themselves to the world on the grounds that “America is a Christian nation.” They think that they are defending “our Christian culture and heritage” when in fact all they are doing is being just as worldly as that God – hating James Corbett. If they were not being worldly, then why are they trying to make the world accept and respect them? Why are they using worldly institutions and methods to achieve aims that have nothing to do with spreading the gospel and loving their neighbor? Christian leaders shouldn’t be teaching Christians to whine and use the state to fight for them when someone despises and rejects their beliefs. Instead, Christian leaders should teach Christians to turn the other cheek and be good to those that spitefully use and abuse them so that they can win them to Jesus Christ.

If I am James Corbett or even someone who prior to this incident had no strong feelings one way or the other, this spectacle would convince me that Corbett and the other God – haters are exactly right about Christians. And one last thing: the people orchestrating this whole sad episode just happen to be Southern Baptists. Wiley Drake is a former #2 guy in the Southern Baptist Convention. These people sound just like Mike Huckabee’s folks, now don’t they? This is still more proof that following these folks will lead you straight to the lake of fire.
