Christians Please Pray And Intercede For Children

I have noticed a rash of shocking violent crimes against children – as well as violent crimes by children – lately. Perhaps the most amazing thing is how little attention it is attracting. A mere 20 – 25 years ago, crimes against children or by children were national news. Now, there are entire families getting murdered in their homes on back to back days and it is only mentioned in a single local news cycle. Nor has there seemed to be much notice in the trend of preteens committing murders against their own family members.

The world may not be noticing, but Christians need to stand up and take notice. And we also need to take action. What action should this be? Pray and intercede for these children and families. The Bible says that prayer changes things. Bible – believing Christians need to start living up to our name and start praying in the Name of Jesus Christ that the hand of evil that is afflicting our nation’s children be stayed and removed! I encourage all Bible – believing Christians who read this to post their prayers in the comments below in the chance that some people who do not have a prayer response readily available can read them and repeat them. It can be an Internet prayer meeting of sorts!

And no, we cannot merely stop at praying for children. We need to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with children so that they may be born again through Him, and do it urgently. We can speculate Biblically on the cause of this great evil another day (or on another thread) but now is not the time for words but for action in the form of prayer, intercession, evangelism, and spiritual warfare. I ask that all Christians take some of their time and participate.

A liberal Christian came by about a year ago to challenge me as to whether corporate industrial pollution was responsible for the increase in homosexuality – especially among children – by messing with their hormones (see link here). My response to him? COULD BE! Whether corporate greed drives sexual perversion, or whether sexual perversion drives corporate greed (pornography IS a multi – billion dollar business, and that does not even include the things that aren’t counted as pornography but should be, so where there is a demand mammon will meet it). But now here is the evidence that sexual perversion is deeply embedded into our culture and being normalized:

CHILDREN HAVE CUT themselves. In some cases, 9- or 10-year-old kids have staged suicide attempts. The little boys sob unless they’re allowed to wear dresses. The girls want to be called Luke, Ted, or James. Their parents, desperate to know what is wrong, go online and type “gender disorder.” And what they find is that, even now, decades after doctors performed the first sex changes in America, there’s little help for transgender children. 

There is more.

IDEAS: When are children old enough to declare what gender they will be?

SPACK: All I know is that when I see preadolescents, they have been dressing in the underwear of the other sex for years. These kids are almost certainly transgendered.

And they say evil spirits are not real? We are not just talking about the evil spirits in the children, but rather from the ADULTS that accommodate this vile wickedness, this abuse of God’s creation. This is the key part: the article says that pre – adolescents have been exhibiting this behavior for years. Pre – adolescent means pre – teen, which equates to 10 – 12. So if a 10 year old has been doing this for years, it means since 6, or 4. That is before a child has had any meaningful exposure to the culture: schools, movies and television, etc. So then, how is it that these children have been turned so perverse so early? Child molestation is an easy answer, but too easy. You may want to blame parental neglect due to so many households in which women work – especially households led by single mothers – but that is a class based argument, not a spiritual one, for many of our lower income and minority communities have always seen high percentages of working mothers and single mothers without anything like these sorts of problems. And please realize that the article talks about how this fellow learned these techniques from the oh so progressive Dutch who lack some of our social problems (instead having entirely different ones that the American media rarely speaks of). 

I think that an answer may be found in studying the state of Old Testament Israel. Regrettably I do not have a link at hand, but in one of his messages in The Minor Prophets series, Ronald Dart of Born To Win spoke of King Josiah’s efforts to spiritually rescue Israel, and gave the opinion that sometimes a nation’s apostasy has gone on so long and is so deeply embedded into the culture that it cannot be saved. Dart spoke of Israel then with their idolatry, sexual perversion (including child prostitution) and murder of the innocent (including child sacrifice) and compared it with the evils of contemporary America, making the conjecture that America had itself crossed its spiritual Rubicon into irrecoverable corruption and apostasy. So, God destroyed Israel, leaving it utterly desolate, so that the land could rest from the abominations of the people. Why? Well, God still had plans for the land … for His Son to be born into it. But Israel had so corrupted the land that God intended to be holy and set apart for the purposes of Jesus Christ that it had to be cleansed through desolation. 

Think back thousands of years earlier, Sodom and Gomorrah. The place was filled with sexual immorality and violence, so God overthrew it. And think back quite a time earlier, in the primordial period just before the flood. The whole world was filled with violence and other evils, including the giants in the land, the nephilim about which there has been so much speculation. But in all of these instances, the Word of God records that the very land itself had become corrupted with sin. Not just the people. Not just the cultural traditions, perverted religions, and public institutions of government, military, and commerce. And not just the animals (which the Bible makes clear can be corrupted, not only through God declaring everything that had breath of life corrupt and having to be destroyed in the flood and the evil spirits entering the swine when Jesus Christ cast them out of a man, but when God often warned the children of Israel not to keep or sacrifice to Him the cattle and sheep of pagan nations, but instead to destroy them all along with the people!), but the very land itself!

Now I will grant you, there is some ambiguity or flexibility as to what precisely the term “land” means in various contexts in the Bible, but in this instance we can be reasonably certain that it is strongly correlated with the geography of a nation itself. So if the land is polluted by what the people living in the land are doing, then in what manner is this pollution? If it is not a horde of evil spirits attracted to an area by repulsive sinful conduct of the worst manner, I do not know what is. And there is no worse sin than that of the person who has knowledge of God or professes God but rejects God. Yet that was what happened with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, and mankind falling into sin and the entire creation being corrupted with it was the result. Romans 1:18-32 makes it clear that many in the world knew of God during the primordial period. And then you had the apostasy of Israel, God’s elect nation of stiff – necked people. Now I reject dominion and official theology, America is not the new Israel. But still, how can we not compare the wretched conduct of so many people who claim to believe in God to that of biblical Israel, of Sodom and Gomorrah, or of the cosmos before the flood? So if we are indeed a land corrupted by sin, with what is the resulting corruption? From my humble estimation, it can be nothing else but evil spirits that have such reign over the land that they can now enter into children of very young ages – ages before both Jewish and Christian doctrine claims that they can possess any responsibility for sin – and fill them with thoughts and provoke them to behaviors that are not convenient even without those children personally having been exposed to external sources of wickedness on that scale.

So we can suppose, then, that the effects of God ridding a corrupted land from its people so that it can rest as He did with Israel, Sodom and Gomorrah, and the entire world with the flood can be viewed in terms of Matthew 12:43-45, which reads “When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.” Get rid of all the people, and there is nowhere for these unclean spirits walking through dry places to find rest, and nowhere for him to bring the seven spirits more wicked than he. It would honestly appear that with the grotesque abominations that are now not only commonplace and accepted but DEMANDED by our contemporary society that America as a nation is that wicked generation that is in that last state. The only question is whether it applies just to America, as it did to Israel in the time and place that Jesus Christ was speaking (as the nation of Israel was destroyed in 70 A.D.) or does it apply to the whole world? Is this the beginning of sorrows for the earth, or just for America? After all, nations have come and nations have gone! Remember the mighty civilization that the Aztecs built? Yet the conquistadors overthrew it all! So … time will tell. 

I acknowledge that during the short time (a little over a year) since I started this website, I have gone from (disillusioned) Pentecostal to a more Reformed Christianity, but people, evil spirits are real, and Reformed Christians have to come up with a way to deal with these problems through evangelism and ministry programs so that we can redeem God’s children from the clutches of the enemy. That is one of the reasons why I have yet to remove the spiritual warfare materials from the top (also to the side) of the site: it is mostly from the charismatic perspective – with due respect to the Baptist Frank Hammond – but really what else is there?  

From another perspective, this type of evil shows how perversion is taking over the world. Not only is it happening virtually unchecked, but it is the people that say that it is wrong that would face opposition. Suppose you and I were to go to Boston right now with picket signs and bullhorns in front of this fellow’s office, declaring to the world the abomination that it is. (Of course, some would propose that quietly talking to people and handing out gospel tracts would be a more effective and more Christian way of dealing with this evil than publicity – seeking grandstanding, but consider the question anyway.) The news media, the intellectuals (of which there is no shortage of in Boston) and even many clergy would denounce such an effort as hateful, bigoted, intolerant, etc. and before long there would be hate crimes legislation against it, with news footage of Christians yelling and swinging signs at crying confused children, it would be a political watershed moment for the gay rights community, their Selma. Yet a mere 40 years ago, such an establishment working this type of evil against children would have been burned to the ground!

It has to be spiritual. Satan knows that he has but a short time, so the forces of spiritual wickedness are being unleashed upon the earth in a way like never before, and it will build until the return of Jesus Christ. The moral climate, the economic climate, the wars and diseases, the apostasy of the church … it all adds up to one thing: the fulfillment of the things spoken of in Daniel, Ezekiel, the Olivet discourses of Jesus Christ in the gospels, Revelation, etc. And yes, the apostasy of the church is a clear indication. How can these things be going on in a nation that claims to be over 75% Christian (if not higher) without a single hint of righteous outrage? Without armies of Christians motivated to action? It is as if a spiritual cloud of fear, defeat, blindness, pacifism, and accommodation is hanging over the church. And so many are that are fighting are doing it the wrong way: through electoral politics and in the courts. Were John Edwards and George Whitefield about today, what would they say about us? And better yet: how come WE are not doing what John Edwards and George Whitefield did? And yes, I include myself among the number of those that really are not doing nearly enough for the gospel. I have to do more. We ALL have to do more!

Jesus Christ is coming back soon, Christians. And when He does, what will you say if He asks you why didn’t you do anything to help, defend, and advocate for His little children such as these?

Your Public Library May Be A Sanctuary City For Child Pornography Consumers!

A bizarre battle has erupted over the arrest on child pornography charges of a man at a California public library, with library and county officials siding against the staffer who called police to arrest the alleged criminal.

Librarian Brenda Biesterfeld was fired from her job after disregarding her supervisor’s orders not to call police.

Now a pro-family organization and a law firm are rallying support for her.

“We’ve come alongside her, providing media training and legal representation,” said Randy Thomasson, chief of the Campaign for Children and Families, a prominent pro-family leadership group. “Our goal is to get Brenda’s job back, to institute a new library policy that has no tolerance for obscenity and child pornography, and to send a nationwide message that child predators will not be allowed to ‘do their thing’ in libraries.”

Mathew Staver, head of Liberty Counsel, said his organization has sent a demand letter to the Tulare County Board of Supervisors challenging the librarian’s dismissal.

The incident developed on Feb. 28 when Beisterfeld, a single mother, was working in the Lindsay Branch library, and she noticed Donny Lynn Chrisler, 39, viewing child porn on one of the public-use computers.

“She immediately went to her supervisor, Judi Hill, who instructed her to give him a warning and explain that on his second warning he would be banned from the library,” Liberty Counsel said. “When Biesterfeld asked if she should call the police, Hill told her not to and that the library would handle it internally.”

She also was told that “this happens more often than she would think.” (My note: OF COURSE IT DOES. DON’T YOU THINK THAT WORD HAS GOTTEN OUT AMONG THE CHILD PORNOGRAPHY COMMUNITY, WHICH NETWORKS EXTENSIVELY, THAT LIBRARIES WILL NOT REPORT THEM???)

Biesterfeld was so unnerved by the situation, she talked with police the next day. Then on March 4, when Chrisler returned, Biesterfeld saw him viewing more child porn and called police.

“When police officers arrived they caught Chrisler viewing the child pornography, arrested him, and placed him in the Tulare County Jail, where he remains on $10,000 bail,” Liberty Counsel said. “Further investigation uncovered more child pornography in Chrisler’s home.”

But when police confiscated the computer from the library, Hill confronted them and said they had no business enforcing the child pornography law within the library.

“Even after the police captain explained that a federal law had been violated, making it a legal matter to be handled by police, Hill never offered to help,” Liberty Counsel said. “Instead, she demanded to know who made the report.”

Even though police investigators concealed Biesterfeld’s name, Hill claimed she knew who it was, and within 20 minutes the captain got a call from Biesterfeld saying Hill had called her and rebuked her. Two days later and without explanation Biesterfeld was fired.

The law firm’s letter demands Biesterfeld’s reinstatement and that the library change its policy to prevent the use of library property for illegal behavior and to establish a prompt reporting system. Mayor Ed Murray submitted a similar request to the county, officials said.

“Brenda Biesterfeld had a moral and a legal responsibility to report to police a library patron whom she observed viewing child pornography,” said Staver. “It is outrageous that the Lindsay Branch library fired Ms. Biesterfeld for reporting child pornography. Child Pornography is a despicable crime against children.”

Thomasson said the local battle, however, has national implications.

“We’re also defending children nationwide,” he said. “You see, the American Library Association, which is the controlling influence over libraries nationwide, views pornography and obscenity as ‘intellectual freedom.’ Because of this, many libraries in the U.S. allow child pornographers to use their Internet system undetected and unreported. Is it any wonder why child molestation has become so common?”

According to the association’s own web page regarding intellectual freedom and censorship, it is not the work of a library to protect children from material that is “legally obscene.” “Governmental institutions cannot be expected to usurp or interfere with parental obligations and responsibilities when it comes to deciding what a child may read or view,” the ALA says. It also defines “intellectual freedom” as the right to see material “without restriction.” Those who object to obscenity and its availability are “censors,” who “try to use the power of the state to impose their view of what is truthful and appropriate.” “Each of us has the right to read, view, listen to, and disseminate constitutionally protected ideas, even if a censor finds those ideas offensive,” the ALA states. (My note: as a libertarian Christian, I have some sympathies for this view, particularly because of my belief that one day the government will start hauling of Christians for possessing Bibles. But in this present time with its current policy, by preventing its employees from enforcing local, state, and federal laws, the American Library Association is contributing to precisely the sort of lawlessness and moral degradation in this society that will allow that awful time to take place.)

“Censors might sincerely believe that certain materials are so offensive, or present ideas that are so hateful and destructive to society, that they simply must not see the light of day. Others are worried that younger or weaker people will be badly influenced by bad ideas, and will do bad things as a result,” the ALA said.

That was the point Steve Baldwin, a former California lawmaker, was making when he previously penned a column citing a report from the Family Research Council.

“A 2000 report by the Family Research Council details how its researchers sent out surveys to every librarian in America asking questions about access to pornography. Despite efforts by the ALA to stop its members from responding, 462 librarians did respond. Their replies revealed 472 instances of children assessing pornography, 962 instances of adults accessing pornography, 106 instances of adults exposing children to pornography, five attempted child molestations, 144 instances of child porn being accessed and 25 instances of library staff being harassed by those viewing pornography. Over 2,062 total porn-related incidents were reported by a mere 4.6 percent of our nation’s librarians so one can assume the number of incidents is probably twenty times higher,” he reported.

He wrote that the “bias” of the ALA is obvious.

“When parent groups have offered to place books in libraries with conservative themes or are critical of the left, the ALA’s claims of being First Amendment guardians suddenly look fraudulent. When one parent tried to donate George Grant’s book, ‘Killer Angel,’ a critical biography of Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger, the library sent a letter stating that ‘the author’s political and social agenda…is not appropriate.’ Huh? A biographical book with zero profanity is banned but books that feature the ‘F’ word a hundred times are sought after with zeal. Go figure,” Baldwin wrote. (My note: so censorship is evil and must be prevented at all costs … unless we are doing it.)

Thomasson called on librarians across the country to report child pornography to law enforcement whenever it happens.

“The liberals who run the library system in America must stop violating the federal law because they regard child pornography as ‘free speech,’” he said. “All pornography is immoral, but possession of child pornography is a federal crime. No librarian should fear reporting child pornography to the police, but libraries that fail to report these crimes should be very afraid. Brenda Biesterfeld will get her job back, and more.”

Biesterfeld said she felt intimidated by Hill after the police investigation was launched. “She kind of threatened me,” Biesterfeld said. “She said I worked for the county, and when the county tells you to do something, you do what the county tells you. She said I had no loyalty to the county. (My note: Anyone remember 1984, people accused of being being “disloyal to the party?” Wait … this aside would be more suited for a post on the Republican or Democratic parties.) I told her I was a mother and a citizen also, and not just a county employee.”

The dismissal letter from Tulare County Librarian Brian Lewis said probationary employees can be fired if they don’t perform at a level “necessary for fully satisfactory performance.” But Thomasson reported a Lindsay city councilwoman said she’d been told just a few weeks earlier Biesterfeld was doing a great job. The city of Lindsay also has complained to the county about Hill’s “abrupt, demanding and demeaning” telephone call to police telling them to halt their pornography investigation.

Jamie Lynn Spears, Britney’s 16-year-old sister, proudly proclaimed that she
is pregnant and the media loves it! Sadly, the church, para-church
ministries, men and women of God, have done a very poor job of getting the
message of God to those who need it most…this lost and hurting world in
which we live in. It is sad when the act of a 16-year-old girl who has
clearly made choices in rebellion to God has more impact on our culture than
the church does! That is why from time to time, I feel compelled to respond
to messages that are being put forth by the secular media that are in
opposition to the Truth of the Bible, especially when those messages are
geared to children and young adults.

Jamie Lynn Spears is the star of Nickelodeon’s “Zoey 101,” a popular program
geared towards children and young adults. It came to light a few weeks ago
that she was pregnant by her 18-year-old boyfriend. Sadly, teen pregnancy
is not something new and continues to be a huge issue in a nation and world
that is in spiritual freefall. What is most troubling to me has been the
media’s glorification of Spear’s pregnancy which is what I want to address
today.

God through His Word, is very specific about HIS gift of sex. Sex is
intended for a man and woman WHO ARE MARRIED! PERIOD! ALL sex outside of
God’s plan is a sin! As I share with you often, sin always comes with a
huge price tag. When you engage in sex at any age, getting pregnant is a
very real possibility. When it is children, teens, neither the young man or
woman are ready for that responsibility and their lives become changed
forever. In too many cases, it is the baby who suffers as well.

Let me take this opportunity to say to all of those who are reading this and
got caught up in sin, made a poor choice to have sex without being married,
and became pregnant. God is a God of grace and mercy. Even in our
sinfulness, God loves us, and can turn our sin into HIS blessings. However,
that ONLY happens when we acknowledge our sin, ask God to forgive us, and
begin from that point forward to do it HIS way. When you make that choice,
God can and will bless you, no matter what your circumstances may be today.

A special note to those young women who may be pregnant. You have two, TWO,
options. Keep the baby, or give the baby up for adoption. These are the ONLY
two choices. Abortion is murder. To have an abortion is simply compounding
your initial sin. Trust me, as LONG AS YOU LIVE, the choice to kill your
baby will be with you. Having counseled thousands of women who have had an
abortion, the FACT the women’s movements, the pro-death (choice) movement
conveniently forget to tell you, is that you will never…..EVER….forget
this incident in your life.

If you are pregnant and even considering killing your baby, please take a

Another common sin that I deal with daily, is the incredible desire by a
woman who becomes pregnant to “marry the father of the baby.” Again, in
almost ALL cases, you are simply compounding your sin. Getting married
because you are pregnant is one of the absolute WORST reasons there is to
get married! I can almost insure you that the man who got you pregnant, is
most likely NOT the man God wants you to spend the rest of your life with.
In Spear’s case, there are published reports this young man who fathered her
baby has gotten another girl pregnant.

NO MAN OF GOD, WHO IS WALKING WITH THE LORD, WHO IS THE SPIRITUAL HEAD OF
YOUR RELATIONSHIP AS GOD CALLS THE MAN TO BE, WOULD HAVE EVER SLEPT WITH YOU
IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!! I am not making a blanket condemnation of all men
who sin in this way, but in most every case, a man who is willing to sleep
with a woman out of the bonds of marriage, is NOT the man God wants you to
spend the rest of your life with.

I love you and care about you so much. GOD LOVES YOU EVEN MORE! If you are
currently pregnant out of the bonds of marriage, your first need is to get
right with God. Go to God’s promise in 1 John 1:9, and get right with God.
DON’T EVEN CONSIDER MARRIAGE UNTIL YOU CAN BE ASSURED IT IS GOD’S WILL FOR
YOUR LIFE. It may be a situation where putting your baby up for adoption is
the best alternative.

Pray, get lots of wise counsel, and God will guide you and direct you. For
those single moms out there who have already lived through the birth of your
child, again, getting right with God is your first step. Know that God can,
and will bless you and your child in incredible ways if you are willing to
submit to Him.

For those young adults who have not had this experience. LISTEN!!! God is
speaking to you today. There are CONSEQUENCES when you sin. LIFE CHANGING
CONSEQUENCES!!! Do it God’s way. Let God bring the right mate into your
life, get married, then have children in accordance with God’s perfect plan.

In closing, never forget that the secular media has NO CONSCIENCE. It simply
portrays the message our modern culture finds appealing, regardless of how
God feels. A child having a baby is NOT a glamorous experience!!! It takes
sin to accomplish, and those who are unrepentant, face incredible challenges
that ultimately harm the child involved. As I say so often, when you do it
your way, it NEVER works. When you do it God’s way, it ALWAYS WORKS!!! I
will be praying today, that you choose to do it God’s way!!!

An 80-year-old leader of a DeKalb County megachurch who is at the center of a sex scandal has been charged with lying under oath for saying he had sex outside marriage with only one other woman, court documents show. A warrant for the arrest of Archbishop Earl Paulk, co-founder of Cathedral of the Holy Spirit at Chapel Hill Harvester Church in Decatur, was issued Monday, according to court documents. Paulk was making arrangements Monday night to turn himself in, WAGA-TV reported. His attorneys did not immediately return calls from The Associated Press seeking comment. Former church employee Mona Brewer is suing Paulk, his brother and the church on allegations that Paulk manipulated her into an affair from 1989 to 2003 by telling her it was her only path to salvation. In a 2006 deposition stemming from the lawsuit, the archbishop said under oath that the only woman he had ever had sex with outside of his marriage was Brewer.

But the results of a court-ordered paternity test revealed in October that Paulk is the biological father of his brother’s son, D.E. Paulk, who is now head pastor at the church. As part of Brewer’s lawsuit, eight women have given sworn depositions that they were coerced into sexual relationships with Earl Paulk. A judge ordered the paternity test at the request of the Cobb County district attorney’s office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. District Attorney Pat Head declined to comment when reached at his home Monday night. Paulk and his brother, Don, have been hit with lawsuits from former members alleging they were coerced into sexual affairs, but this is the first time criminal charges have been filed against the archbishop.

The “sex spirit.” This is the spirit that is responsible for fornication,
adultery, lust, homosexuality, and every other sexual sin. After all, we
know there has to be some reason so many people commit sexual sin and the
“sex spirit” is the answer. Since sexual sin is something almost everyone
fights at some point in their life, I should actually write a book about the
“sex spirit.” It would sell millions of copies worldwide to people who are
Christians as well as to those who are not. It would actually be a best
seller in the homosexual community and to others who have rejected God’s
plan for sex since it would explain their actions. I could actually take a
few verses here and a few verses there to even make a Biblical case for the
“sex spirit.”

However, there is only one small problem, THERE IS NO SUCH THING!!! I am
sorry to have to tell you this, but there is NO “sex spirit.” It doesn’t
exist. Oh trust me, I know people want it to exist. They want something to
blame their sinful behavior on and blaming it on a “sex spirit” would be
perfect. You see, if there really was a “sex spirit,” then you don’t have to
take responsibility for YOUR CHOICES since it wasn’t you, it was the “sex
spirit” that made you do it.

When you read the Bible cover to cover, one of the things you understand is
that the Bible is a book of personal responsibility. We are personally
responsible for the choices we make in our life. Blaming someone or
something else doesn’t work! Ever since man committed the very first sin in
the Garden of Eden, he has been trying to blame his sin on someone or
something else. Look at Adam. When confronted with his sin by God what did
he do? HE BLAMED GOD AND EVE!!! Like I say so often, we have not changed one
bit since the Garden. But God was not interested in Adam’s excuse and God is
not interested in your excuse either.

I’m not sure if you noticed lately, but God is one smart guy. You see, God
gave us something called “free will.” Free will means we are NOT
pre-programmed robots, but have the ability to make our own choices
throughout our life. The upside to this is that we can choose to do whatever
we want. If you want to be an Adolph Hitler and commit your life to
destroying lives and killing millions of people, you can do it. If you want
to be a Billy Graham and commit your life to preaching the Gospel to the
world and be used by God to bring millions to know Christ as their Savior,
you can do it. Free will means you have the ability to choose to do whatever
you want.

Because God gave man free will, it also means that we are PERSONALLY
RESPONSIBLE for the choices that we make. Now I understand in today’s
society accepting personal responsibility is not popular. We have to always
find a “reason” why people do the things they do. Children that are
hyperactive, have way too much energy, who act like children should are now
told they have ADD or ADHD. While in a percentage of cases there may be a
medical issue that exists, in most cases it is simply an excuse for children
that have not been properly disciplined or are simply just being kids.

No place do we see people making excuses for their choices more than in the
criminal justice system. It is the job of well paid defense lawyers to dream
up excuses to explain away a person’s criminal actions. They have come up
with every reason you can imagine to explain why a person who committed a
crime was not really responsible for their actions. This mentality has
permeated to every part of our society, and finding reasons to explain why
people are not responsible for the choices they make has become an art.

Let me make sure you understand, this may work in the world in which we
live, but it doesn’t work with God. God has given us free will to make our
own choices, but along with that freedom, comes the responsibility for
whatever choices we make. God is not interested in your excuse why you
sinned, only in you taking responsibility for that sin. He has even given us
a wonderful promise in 1 John 1:9 that tells us, if we will confess our
sins, take personal responsibility for our sins, He will not only forgive us
but cleanse us from all unrighteousness. All God wants us to do is to be
honest, not make excuses, and take personal responsibility for the choices
we make.

I love you and care about you so much. I am sorry that there is no “sex
spirit,” or anything else you can blame for sin in that area. God has given
us the choice to either obey Him, or disobey Him. When we choose to disobey
Him, it was not another person, a “spirit,” or anything else we can blame.
It was OUR CHOICE. I will be praying for you today, praying that you will
realize that you have got to be responsible for whatever choices you make in
this life. You, and you alone made those choices, and you, and you alone
have to be responsible for the choices you make.

This is why the moment we die and stand before God, there is only one
question He is going to ask us. It is not what day of the week we went to
church. It is not the name of the building we choose to worship Him in. It
is not how successful you may have been in this life. No my friend, the only
question God is going to ask you is, “Do you have a personal relationship by
faith with my Son Jesus.” You either do, or you don’t. If you do, God will
welcome you into His presence for eternity. If you don’t, you will be
eternally separated from God your Creator. Period.

If you don’t, God is NOT going to be interested in any of your excuses. “Jim
and Tammy had an air conditioned dog house.” The pastor in my church ran off
with the choir director.” “Somebody was mean to me at church.” “Christians
are hypocrites.” “I don’t like Bill Keller.” “All they care about is money.”
” I was a good person.” “The Bible was written by mere men.” “My dog ate my
homework.” No, God is not going to be interested in hearing any of your
excuses for why you rejected Jesus Christ as your Savior. That is a personal
decision each person must make in this life, and each person will be held
responsible by God for eternity for that decision.

If you have not made the decision to accept Christ into your heart and life

Why Is The Number Of Children That Are Being Sexually Abused On The Rise?

The rise in children who are being sexually abused. The nation
cheered this past January when 13-year-old William Ben Ownby
who lives in Franklin County, near St. Louis, and had been
missing for 5 days was found alive in a Kirkwood, Missouri
apartment. Also, to everyone’s amazement, in that same
apartment was another boy, 15-year-old Shawn Hornbeck who had
been missing since October 2002! Michael Devlin, 41, was
arrested and is facing numerous charges as the investigation
into his activities with these young boys and possibly others
continues.

We rejoice with these two families who have been reunited with
their children and pray for them as God brings healing and
restoration to these homes. We, of course, pray for Ben and
Shawn and the Lord’s healing in their young lives after such
an ordeal. We also pray for Devlin to seek the Lord’s
forgiveness for his crimes and that the justice system will
insure he can’t harm any more children ever again.

This recent tragedy in Missouri serves as the backdrop today
for the larger issue I want to deal with, and that is the
rise in the number of children who are being sexually abused.
People wonder if there really is an increase in the number of
children who are being sexually abused, or if it just seems
like there is due to the fact it is more openly discussed
today than in years past. You also never had the incredible
number of news outlets we have today, including the 24-hour
cable news networks.

Statistics do clearly show that the number of children who
are being sexually abused is indeed on the rise. Because of
the anonymity of the Internet and email, people come to us
every day with issues in their lives that they have never
told another living person about. The biggest one is people
who were abused as children, in addition to many children
and young adults we hear from who are currently living in
a home where they were being sexually abused. I can tell
you that over these nearly 8 years, the number of people
we deal with who were and are being sexually abused has
greatly increased each year.

In dealing with this incredibly sensitive and difficult
issue today, I want to share with you WHY we are seeing this
increase in children who are being sexually abused by men
and women. The flurry of recent stories of female teachers
having sex with their young male students has showed us that
children are being sexually molested by men and women! There
 are two major contributing factors to this rise in the
number of children who are being sexually abused. One is the
widespread proliferation of pornography and the other is the
breakdown of the family.

Porn used to be predominantly a male problem, and many people
still view it as such. However, with the advent of the Internet,
we deal every day with as many woman as men addicted to
pornography. Porn has gained such widespread acceptance in our
culture, that many view it as “harmless.” That is a lie from
hell! Pornography destroys lives, destroys marriages, destroys
families, destroys the ability of a person to have a normal
and healthy sex life with their spouse, destroys careers, and
leads people into other bondages like drugs and alcohol.

Here is where the widespread acceptance of pornography in our
culture today factors into the rise in children being sexually
abused. Like all addictions, those in bondage to porn need more
stimulus as time goes on to get that rush or high. What starts
out as simply looking at a few naked pictures on the Internet,
turns into more hardcore porn, then turns into cyber and phone
sex, than ultimately turns into visits to massage parlors,
escorts, street prostitutes, swingers and BDSM clubs, as well
as anonymous real-time meetings just for sex.

After a while just looking isn’t enough. After a while, scenes
of normal sex become boring and people turn to more perverted
forms of sex. The powder keg of a person in bondage to porn,
needing more perverted forms of sex, needing to actually act
out their fantasies, often leads them to the most accessible
and vulnerable person they can control for their perverse
pleasure…. a child!

YOU WILL FIND MANY IN BONDAGE TO PORN WHO NEVER MOLESTED
CHILDREN, BUT YOU WILL ALWAYS FIND THOSE WHO MOLEST CHILDREN
IN BONDAGE TO PORN!

The other major contributing factor to the rise in children
being sexually abused is the breakdown of the family. For
nearly 8 years now I have been preaching about how the moral
deterioration of our society is directly linked to the
breakdown of God’s plan for the family. The sexual abuse of
children is simply a byproduct of that breakdown. The ideal
situation is for a child to have a mother and father and
live in a Godly, loving, nurturing home. That is God’s plan.
With divorce rampant, with so many having sex outside of
marriage and having children without a spouse, you now have
well over 50% of children being raised by a single parent
or by adults who are not their birth mother or father.

Today, a single mom or dad over the years their child is
growing up might have 2, 3, 5, 10, or even more love
interests who live there, stay the night, or just come
over occasionally. Children are growing up today with a
dad who has dozens of women in and out of his life, and
subsequently his child’s life. Children are growing up
today with a mom who has dozens of men in and our of her
life, and subsequently in her child’s life. The fact is,
these moms and dads are exposing their children to people
they don’t even really know! They have NO CLUE who this
person they are “seeing” really is, yet they expose their
child to that person!

Case in point from a recent national story is Scott Peterson
and Amber Frey. Frey, who had only had one overnight date
with Peterson, that was it, allowed him to go pick up her
daughter the next day at her day care. Of course Peterson
is now on California’s death row for the murder of his wife
and BABY!

The other recipe for abuse lies in blended families. You
have homes where the mom has 1, 2, even 3 sets of children
all with different fathers. Couple that with her husband who
might have 1, 2, even 3 sets of children all from different
mothers. ALL THESE KIDS ARE NOW LIVING TOGETHER UNDER ONE
ROOF! There is normally big age discrepancies and quite often
you see sexual abuse occur when an older partial siblings
abuses a younger partial sibling.

THE BREAKDOWN OF THE FAMILY AND THE NUMEROUS ADULTS AND OTHER
CHILDREN IN AND OUT OF MOST CHILDREN’S LIVES AS THEY GROW UP,
COUPLED WITH THE INSTANT AVAILABILITY OF PORNOGRAPHY, IN
ADDITION TO THE FACT THE BETTER PERCENTAGE OF TWO FULL
GENERATIONS ARE NOW GROWING UP VOID OF GOD AND BIBLICAL
VALUES, IS WHY THERE WILL CONTINUE TO BE AN INCREASE IN THE
NUMBER OF CHILDREN WHO ARE BEING SEXUALLY ABUSED!

I love you and care about you so much. Having to deal with
this issue every day for years, I know the incredible pain
and damage sexual abuse does to a person’s life. I counsel
people daily that they need to seek out qualified,
professional Christian counseling. I can pray for them,
encourage them, help them, and guide them spiritually, but
there is very real psychological damage done when a child
is sexually abused and they need to take advantage of those
professionals God has gifted to help them work through all
of the many complicated issues that are a result of sexual
abuse. This is not something you can simply rub some dirt
on and make it better. Anyone who has been sexually abused
needs professional Christian counseling to help them heal
and move forward in their life.

I will be praying for anyone today who has had to endure
the horror of being sexually abused as a child. It is NOT
your fault. You did NOTHING WRONG! Sadly, there is much evil
in this world, and even children are not immune from that
evil. I will pray for you today to seek out professional
Christian counseling to help you heal from the abuse you
suffered. I will pray for you to know that God loves you
and that He has a plan and purpose for your life. YOU MATTER
and have great worth! God wants to help you heal and help
you move forward to live a victorious life in Christ. It is
no accident or coincidence you are reading these words today.
God is speaking to you and letting you know that HE LOVES YOU
AND YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

I can only state again as I do so often how destructive
pornography is, how critical who you marry is, and how vital
it is to follow God’s plan for sex. Sex was created for a man
and women in MARRIAGE. PERIOD! Ultimately, it is the children
who suffer when there is a divorce. It is the children who
suffer when a child is conceived out of wedlock. It is the
child who suffers when they are raised in these complicated,
blended families. Can God help a single mom and dad overcome
their sin? YES! Can God bless a blended home? YES! The key is
the mother, the father, have to humble themselves before the
Lord and seek His strength, wisdom, and counsel each day as
they love, protect, and nurture their child, raising that
child in accordance with God’s Word.

I will be praying for you parents today. As I tell you so
many times, being a mom and dad is the greatest ministry you
will ever have. EVER! God gave you the gift of your child,
and it is your responsibility to love, nurture, protect, and
raise that child in the admonition of the Lord and to know
Jesus as their Savior. It is the most difficult, but
rewarding job you will ever have in this lifetime. I pray
that God will give you His wisdom and counsel, strength and
guidance, as you raise that child or children He has blessed
you with!

There is a rise in the number of children being sexually
abused, however, as there is also a rise in the number of
men and women who come to know Jesus as their Savior, turn
from the allure of pornography, follow God’s plan for
marriage and the family, we can see that rise stopped!!!

Psalms 106:38 Why Is Bobby Cutts Being Charged With Murder For Doing What Is Done In Abortion Clinics?

“They shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and their daughters . . .
and the land was polluted with blood . . . ” – (Psalms 106:38 NIV)

When murder is legal.  During this past week, the nation followed the
disappearance of a young Ohio woman who had a 2-year-old son and was also
pregnant, ready to deliver her baby the first week of July.  As the days
passed by, like in most of these stories, they ended up finding the dead
body of Jessie Davis.  Charged with her murder is the father of her young
child, who is also believed to be the father of the baby she was carrying.
Bobby Cutts was a police officer for the city of Canton, Ohio.

As the details came out, Cutts turned out to be married and the father of a
child with his wife, as well as the father of a 9-year-old girl with another
woman.  As sad as this tragic story is, there are two issues that need to be
addressed  nobody has the courage to talk about.  First, are the choices of
a young single woman to have sex outside of marriage, the second, why is
Bobby Cutts also being charged with the murder of the unborn baby Davis was
carrying.

Some people are going to think it is very cruel to talk about the choices
the 26-year-old Davis made, but we have to!  She is a classic example that
the choices you make each day can bless your life or they can literally end
your life.  Does that mean if you get married, have children with your
husband, you never have to worry about your husband killing you?  Sadly no,
since the most likely person to kill a woman is their husband.

However, what possible good can come from having sex and children with a man
who you are not married to, not to mention the fact he is already married!
Obviously, this was much more than just a short-term relationship that
resulted in her having a child, since 2 years later she was ready to have
another baby with this same man.  Even if she had not been killed by Cutts,
here was a young single woman who was going to be raising two children on
her own with virtually no support or help from the man who fathered the
children.

*THE CHOICES WE MAKE  DETERMINE THE COURSE OUR LIFE TAKES.  WHEN WE FOLLOW
GOD AND LIVE ACCORDING TO HIS WORD, WE FIND BLESSINGS.  WHEN WE CHOOSE TO
IGNORE GOD AND LIVE IN REBELLION TO HIS WORD, WE ALWAYS PAY A HUGE PRICE!

The other issue this sad story raises is why is Bobby Cutts being charged
with TWO murders.  I don’t understand.  He is being charged with killing
Davis AND with killing the unborn baby she was carrying.  I am confused
because I thought it was legal in this country to kill babies as long as
they are still in the mother’s womb.  After all, every day some “doctors” go
to work and kill 4, 5, even 6 unborn babies.  After work they play golf,
enjoy life, and at the end of the day go home to their families.  Why are
they allowed to kill babies, AND GET PAID LOTS OF MONEY FOR IT, yet Bobby
Cutts is being charged with murder for killing the baby Jessie Davis was
carrying.

It brought back to my memory the Scott Peterson case when he was charged
with killing his wife Laci AND their baby who was still in the womb.
Peterson is currently on California’s death row for double murder.  So
today, I want to deal with the reality that in the United States in the year
2007, it is illegal to kill a newly born baby and it is also illegal to
cause the death of a baby who is still in the womb.  Oh wait, there is one
exception to the crime of intentionally killing a baby in the womb.  That
exception is if you are a doctor and are performing an abortion!

I am confused how Peterson, who made the choice to kill one unborn baby will
spend his life all alone in a tiny cell on death row awaiting the day when
the State of California will put him to death while doctors all across this
nation who make the choice to kill hundreds and thousands of unborn babies,
go home every night to nice comfortable homes and look forward to all of the
great things life has to offer.

My question for you today is simply this.  If Scott Peterson is going to be
put to death for killing his unborn child, one baby, why isn’t every
abortion doctor in this nation, guilty of killing hundreds, even thousands
of babies, also on death row for doing the same thing???  The fact is,
several dozen states now have “fetal homicide” statutes on the books. But to
get these “fetal homicide” statutes passed, state legislators had to make
ONE HUGE exemption. You guessed it. In cases of abortion with the mother’s
consent, these statutes do not apply to the abortion doctors. Do you see
what twisted logic has to be used to accommodate sin?

As I watched the Peterson case unfold, I watched the coverage on the various
networks like FOX, MSNBC, CNN, and Court TV.  I was particularly interested
in the passion and conviction of people like Court TV anchors, Nancy Grace,
Lisa Bloom, Catherine Crier, and the attorney for Amber Frey, Gloria Allred,
as well as other commentators as they shared their belief not only in
Peterson’s guilt but the fact he deserved to be put to death for his crimes.
The key to their arguments was always the fact that he not only killed his
wife but also his baby. Sadly, too many men kill their wives but at most
they receive a sentence of life in prison. Many of these commentators made
the point over and over that the fact he also killed his baby was
justification to sentence him to death. By the way, I agreed with them.

However, the hypocrisy is that most of those same commentators also support
a woman’s right to kill her baby. They are PRO CHOICE, or calling it what it
really is, PRO DEATH! I have to admit that I am very confused. How can it be
such a heinous crime for Scott Peterson to kill his baby, yet perfectly
acceptable for a woman to make the choice to kill her baby? I am absolutely
lost at how one is a crime worthy of death and the other is an acceptable
choice.

For those of you who support a woman’s right to slaughter her innocent baby,
please save the emails with your tortured arguments. The fact is life comes
from God. At the moment of conception there is a living person with an
eternal soul. To kill that life for any reason is murder. PERIOD!

IF SCOTT PETERSON CAN BE PUT TO DEATH FOR KILLING ONE BABY, IF BOBBY CUTTS IS BEING CHARGED WITH MURDER FOR KILLING THE BABY JESSIE DAVIS WAS CARRYING, THEN EVERY DOCTOR WHO PERFORMS AN ABORTION SHOULD ALSO BE CHARGED WITH MURDER!!!

I love you and care about you so much. I want to speak directly today to
anyone who may be contemplating having an abortion. Just remember this. No
matter what anyone tells you, it is MURDER. There is simply no justification
for it at all. You have only two options; have and raise the child or put
the child up for adoption.  If you are thinking about having an abortion,
please, I beg you, go watch the clips below.  One is a 55 second clip of an
actual abortion, the other is a powerful testimony of a woman who was at the
same place as you are today.  God allowed her to watch the Liveprayer TV
program the night before she was going to kill her baby, she came under
conviction, changed her mind, and you will see her precious 10 month old
baby girl!

Also, let me say a word to those men and women who have the scar of abortion
in their lives. Sadly, I deal with hundreds of women daily AND men who have
made this sad choice at some point in their life. Some of them did this 40
years ago and are still dealing with the hurt, pain, and guilt.  You can’t
go back and change what you have done but 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess
our sins, God forgives us and cleanses us of all unrighteousness.” The Bible
also tells us that God not only forgives our sins but forgets them. It is
satan who reminds you of your past sins to keep you paralyzed from serving
God. HE IS A LIAR!!! Now is the time to trust God’s Word and put it behind
you once and for all. God still has much for you to do with your life.

I am thankful for high-profile cases like Peterson’s that made the clear
statement killing an innocent baby is MURDER! We need to, once and for all,
take our Federal Government out of the business of legally sanctioning the
daily slaughter of 4,000 of innocent lives! How can we expect God to bless
our nation when we allow this to happen? How long can we mock God without
feeling His wrath? How far can we push God’s grace?

I read in the Old Testament how God’s very own chosen people lived in
blatant rebellion to Him. God tried to warn them. He sent messages through
the events of their day. They ignored the messages. He sent His prophets to
warn the people to repent and turn back to God. They wouldn’t listen to His
messengers. Eventually, God punished His people for their rebellion.

Our nation is less than 300 years old. We have been richly blessed with
incredible wealth and power, but we are not immune from God’s wrath. God is
speaking to us through the events of our day and through those He has called
to warn the people. I pray that we will listen, repent of our sins, and turn

AMAZING GRACE: The Woman Caught In The Act Of Adultery JOHN 8:1-11

AMAZING GRACE

John 8:4-5 “They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?”

JOHN 8:1-11

This was possibly the most potentially damaging temptation the scribes and Pharisees ever presented to Jesus. Much of Jesus’ widespread popularity with the people was because of His examples of and teachings about God’s mercy and forgiveness towards sinners. This was received with great enthusiasm by the people who, before this time had been presented with only a harsh, legalistic, judgmental picture of God.

The scribes and Pharisees had often tried to portray Jesus as condoning or practicing sin because of His association with sinners and His ministry to them when it violated Jewish traditions, such as the Sabbath. However, Jesus had successfully turned every attack into a victory for the side of grace and mercy.

This time, the Jews felt that they had Him “cornered.” If Jesus held to His teachings of forgiveness and refused to stone this woman, He would be in direct rebellion to the law of Moses. This would give these Jews legal grounds to kill Jesus. On the other hand, if He stoned the woman as the law declared, the people would forsake Him. It looked like they had Him trapped either way He went.

As always, the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and Jesus rose to the occasion. He did not condone the sin nor disregard the law of Moses. He simply told the one who was without sin to cast the first stone. As the Holy Ghost began to convict them of their own sin, they all had to leave. They, therefore, could not fault Jesus for not stoning the woman. Jesus was justified in His forgiveness of this woman because He was operating under the dispensation of grace. Think about God’s grace today.

My note: Today’s devotional on Bill Keller falls in the general realm of things I have been addressing regarding the larger problem of our popular culture’s sexualization of young girls. Of course, these girls that they make “sex symbols” (actually objects of exploitative unnatural pornographic lust) are not mature enough at that age to handle the sexual attention that they receive from GROWN MEN (indeed, few grown women can handle it) and you see the results in people like Kate Moss (the one who started the trend), Britney Spears, Anna Kournikova, Beyonce (please don’t be fooled by her sham “relationship” with rapper Jay Z), Lohan, and many others that the media is willing to create, chew up, and spit out in their agenda of using images of immature girls to destroy the natural affections of males. The goal: making homosexuality appear normal by making heterosexuality appear unattractive, undesirable, and depraved. Let us just say that a man is going to have extreme difficulty remaining married if culture has built up in him the notion that the ideal object of his sexual desire is a 14 year old girl, a woman is going to be repulsed by (and fearful of) any man who exhibits sexual attraction to underage girls (especially if she has a daughter nearing or already in puberty) and that is just the tip of the iceberg to what this anti – Christ system is trying to do to the minds of people, and is largely succeeding. The tragic life of Lindsay Lohan. Lindsay Lohan is the beautiful, gifted, 20-year-old actress who is never going to see 25 unless she quickly makes some dramatic changes in her life. If there was ever a person screaming for help, a person who needs a relationship with the Lord, it is Lindsay Lohan. Sadly, she is simply a very visible image of the lives of too many young adults whose names we will never know who have bought the lies of this world and become enslaved to alcohol and drugs. Satan comes to “kill, steal, and destroy,” and one of the ways he does that to a young person is by getting them addicted to alcohol and drugs.

Despite her fame and fortune, Lindsay is no different than any other young adult who becomes addicted. It will destroy her and literally kill her unless she finds the strength to escape, and that strength can only come from the Lord! Please pray for her! I often get asked why I do the Liveprayer television program on a secular network, as opposed to airing it on a Christian network. The answer is simple. I am after the same people that Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Snoop Dogg, and Britney are reaching. I want to reach the exact same people who are buying into the lies of our modern culture and the current spokespeople of those lies.

One of the big problems we have is that too many Christians have become isolationists and have no clue what is going on in this world we live in. The fact is, the vast majority of people do not go to church. The fact is, the vast majority of people will never watch Christian television, listen to Christian radio or music, or read Christian publications. The fact is, the vast majority of people do not have marriages or homes that honor God, or are raising their children in the admonition of the Lord. The fact is, the vast majority in our nation are living their life void of God, without the true joy, peace, and abundance this life can offer because they have rejected Christ, and are without hope.

I’ve already touched on Lohan’s tragic young life. Paris Hilton is the socialite heiress to the Hilton Hotel fortune. She became “famous” for being an international party girl, added to that fame by starring in the FOX program the, “Simple Life” as well as a pornographic video of her and some young man having sex that was sold on the Internet. Snoop Dogg is the gangster rapper that also has his own violent video game, a line of porno tapes, as well as a program on MTV. Britney, of course, is the popular singer, a one-time Mouseketeer who was raised in a Christian home, yet has literally sold her soul for fame and fortune. When I think of these people, I can only think of the verse, “What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, yet lose his soul.”

First, let me say that I am not judging these people, their own actions judge them in accordance with God’s Word. Second, the reason I mention them is that they are four of the best examples in our culture today of people that have incredible influence over millions. To try and minimize that influence, especially on those 18 and under would be foolish. The danger is that a large percentage of young adults in this age group do not go to church, are growing up in homes void of God, and sadly are getting their lessons in life from people like Lindsay, Paris, Snoop Dogg, and Britney. An even bigger problem that needs to be addressed is a large percentage of the parents of those 18 and under do not go to church and have chosen to live their lives void of God. They have treated marriage like a legal date, lived with people out of wedlock, and how they have chosen to live their lives has reinforced to their children that living in rebellion to God is acceptable.

So, it is no wonder why current cultural icons like Lindsay, Paris, Britney, and Snoop Dogg have such a powerful influence since they promote lifestyles so many have grown up to accept as normal. LET ME STATE THIS AS CLEAR AS I CAN. IF WE ARE GOING TO REACH THE 18 AND UNDER GENERATION, WE NEED TO TAKE THE GOSPEL DIRECTLY TO THEM AND BYPASS THEIR PARENTS. For the past 93 months, I have seen a continual rise in the emails that we get each day from young adults that have accepted Christ thru Liveprayer who are living in homes where they are the only Christian. On my television program, I get calls from young adults each night who have made a commitment of their lives to Christ and they are the only Christian in their home. We have got to get serious about taking the hope and love of Christ directly to the 18 and under generation in our world, reaching them before they damage their lives thru drugs, alcohol, illicit sex, and other unGodly choices.

Let us never lose sight of the big picture. There is a very real enemy out there whose stated mission is to kill, steal, and destroy. He accomplishes that by helping people choose to reject God and the truth of His Word. He uses people like Lindsay, Paris, Snoop Dogg, and Britney as tools to lead people into lifestyles of rebellion to God that will damage them. In that damaged state, they often move further from God and are susceptible to even taking their own life. This is a spiritual battle for the eternal souls of people!!! I love you and care about you so much. I pray that God speaks to your heart today. You cannot simply ignore this world that we live in. We have a responsibility to share the hope and love of Christ with those who are lost and living without hope. If we are going to influence future generations for the Kingdom of God, we have to reach those who are 18 and under with the Gospel so that as they mature and have children, their children are raised in Godly homes. We can not continue to let the vast majority of each new generation live their lives void of God and the truth of His Word.

Also, please take some time today and pray for Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Snoop Dogg, and Britney Spears. Pray that they will come to know Christ as their Savior. Even though they have become “famous” for their lifestyles of rebellion to God, God could use them to be powerful influences for good if their hearts were changed. Paul was once an instrument satan used to persecute the early church and kill Christians. After he accepted Christ, he became a great tool God used to take the Gospel to the world. God loves Lindsay, Paris, Snoop Dogg, and Britney, and it is His desire to see them repent and accept Christ as their Savior. Pray for them to make that commitment in their life.

I am challenged each day in using the Internet and secular television as vehicles God can use to reach the hurting and the lost in this world. My only goal is to put Jesus in the same forums that Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Snoop Dogg, and Britney Spears are in so that people have a choice. While on this day some people may bow to Lindsay, Paris, to Snoop Dogg, to Britney, the fact is one day: EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW AND EVERY TONGUE CONFESS THAT JESUS CHRIST IS LORD!!!

Fort Dix Yugoslavian Terror Plot Case: Beware Christians

Christians should beware of articles like this regarding the case of eastern European Muslims attempting to act on a fatwa and commit an act of jihad against our soldiers at Fort Dix. Why? Because as stated with the Virginia Tech massacre incident, I am suspicious that this incident will be used to fill people, including Christians, with fear, anger, paranoia, hysteria, etc. Such emotions can easily be used to A) distract us and B) cause us to act in manners not in accordance with the teachings of Jesus Christ.

This statement is going to be offensive to a great many Christians, but I am going to state it anyway: precisely what is the news here? That a certain percentage of Muslims hate Christians, hate America, hate our military, and if given the proper motivation and opportunity will shed blood based on those feelings? I am sorry, but who didn’t know this already? Next. Oh, apparently there is an illegal immigration angle. Again, who didn’t know that terrorists and other criminals weren’t sneaking over our “border”? (And why have we spent the last few DECADES voting AGAINST people who promised to do something about it?) I fear that a lot of people are seizing on this issue because of some forlorn hope that they will be vindicated; that their views will be validated. “See! We told you that the Muslims were out to get us! That their religion and culture promotes violence! That we have an enemy without and within!” Allow me to accept the painful chore of being the one to tell you that the people who deny these things are NEVER going to admit the truth and are NEVER going to change no matter what happens. Why? Because no matter what Muslims do whether in this country or somewhere else, their #1 enemy is STILL going to be Yeshua HaMashiach and those who are called by and call upon His Name. In their eyes, opposing Muslims empowers Bible – believing Christians. And let’s face it: a little (or even a lot) of violence and mayhem committed by Muslims against Americans doesn’t hurt their interests one bit. As a matter of fact, it HELPS them. It weakens America and the west, which for all of our problems remains Judeo – Christian. Further, it gives them an avenue to claim that the solution to the problem is socialist economics (“the root cause of terrorism is poverty, income inequality, and hopelessness”), cultural depravity (see this fellow assert that hip - hop will defeat radical Islam), and of course multiculturalism and diversity. Many make the claim that Islamic terror is somehow provoked by fundamentalist Christianity, or that there is no difference between Al Qaida and the Southern Baptist or Pentecostal church down the street. These people are not only never going to change but rather only get worse AND gain ever bigger UNCONTESTED forums to spread their hatred of Jesus Christ, and the sooner Christians acknowledge that fact the better. 

Yes, I am aware that Muslim terrorists kill people. I am equally aware that street crime, pollution, and mental illness that results from family breakdown kills people. I do not intend to minimize the threat of Muslim terror,  but I wonder why some would minimize street crime, pollution, and family breakdown? Is the life that is lost to a Muslim bomber worse less than the person who gets shot by a robber? You say that the former cannot be countenanced because “it is an attack on America.” So when an American corporation poisons the air and water, sickening and killing other Americans, that makes it better? Shouldn’t it make it worse, since our “American” criminals, whether wielding knives and guns on the street or the white collar variety wielding pens in their executive suites, were likely raised in Christian homes?

Imagine if these guys had succeeded, and managed to kill about 25 – 30 servicemen before they themselves were captured or killed. It would have been an absolute horror.  But you know what IS horror, and one that is a matter of fact of American life rather than the hypothetical carnage that JUST MIGHT cause Rosie O’Donnell to call radical Islam a threat for five minutes? I will tell you: the horror that goes on inside each and every abortion clinic every day. One thing that you will NEVER see (barring a religious conversion) is the rabidly pro – abortion Katie Couric standing outside (or inside) an abortion clinic crying into the camera: “Oh the murder of the innocent! Dozens, even hundreds of future doctors, lawyers, college professors, schoolteachers murdered in the most gruesome fashion each day! Just look around: THERE IS BLOOD EVERYWHERE!” Nope, it just isn’t going to happen. It really does reveal the mindset of so many Christians: what gets us going, what we really care about, and what doesn’t. The reason is that we have been so blinded and brainwashed by the media and the education system that we have lost fact of what is important.

The best case in point is how so many Christians are strongly considering voting for Rudy Giuliani. Why? Because the cross dresser plus two – time adulterer whose policing strategies resulted in innocent people being shot dead on the streets (all black of course!) “will do a great job in the war on terror.” Would Giuliani do a great job in the war against terror against MUSLIMS? If the Muslims are BLACK, maybe (see link). Otherwise, since illegal immigration is a key part of “homeland defense”, well Giuliani was weak on that issue too until recent flip – flopping for political positioning. In any event, what good is a President who will protect the innocent from Muslim terrorists while supporting the massive terrorism being inflicted on the unborn by way of abortion? How could any Bible – believing Christian even THINK of such a thing? And I say this not to pick on Giuliani. I say this regarding Christians who support flip – floppers and those with ambiguous positions on the issue like Mitt Romney and John McCain (you know perfectly well that someone who supported Muslim terror against Americans in the past as Romney did abortion wouldn’t get elected dogcatcher), and all of those Christians who support Democrats.

What is my point? It is that we have such a visceral reaction to Islamic terror while being so passive to things like street crime, family breakdown, pollution, and abortion because we allow the media to cultivate our mindsets. Christians should resist and reject such things in favor of our minds being renewed with the Word of God. Seriously, what sort of a person shows more outrage at soldiers who MIGHT have been killed by Muslim terrorists wielding AK – 47s than innocent babies who ARE killed by American terrorists with medical licenses? A person who has been BRAINWASHED  BY THE MEDIA AND CULTURE, that is what. So brainwashed that the same person that would show great hysterical offense at ANYONE who proposes the notion that America just MIGHT have brought SOME of our Muslim problems on ourselves with our military and intelligence adventures and foreign and economic policies (even if that person is the only surviving member of an innocent family that was taken out by one of our “smart bombs”) is capable of respecting someone’s pro – abortion beliefs as a politically, intellectually, and morally acceptable position.

It really is part of the media’s game, and Christians had better stop playing it. Realize this: things are only going to get worse. The hostility towards Christians by Americans and the world is only going to increase, and the belligerence and violence against Americans and Christians by Muslims (and others) will only increase. The Bible is clear on this: as we get closer and closer to the return of Yeshua HaMashiach, things are going to get WORSE, not BETTER, and then there is going to be the great tribulation when things are going to REALLY GET BAD. Christians ought to be marking these signs and preparing for battle instead of allowing events that are going to be quite commonplace in the future send them to distraction. Read your Bibles: we really are talking about whole nations and a large percentage of the world’s population perishing in a few short years. Remember that tsunami horror? Well that didn’t touch a lot of your lives, because it didn’t happen “over here.” I have news for you: in the time soon to come, we are going to be having earthquakes, Katrinas, floods, droughts, massive disease outbreaks, major social unrest, economic collapses, etc. on a regular basis. Even you “Left Behind” pre – tribulationists have to admit that these things MUST precede the great tribulation, because it is precisely these things that will create the climate for the anti – Christ to take power. What are you doing to prepare yourself for that type of horror, so that when that horror comes you won’t be so given over to fear, panic, and hopelessness that you will follow anyone or anything that promises to take the pain away? I say that watching the news allowing them to feed your frenzy over six (or was it ten, and if so whither the other four?) isn’t going to do it. I say dealing with the true horrors that are going on right now, whether abortion, addiction, and family breakdown in this country or the wars, famines, AIDS epidemics, etc. ravaging other countries through fulfilling the great commission by spreading the gospel, through dedicating yourself to sincere intercessory prayer over these issues, and/or by using the Word of God to become a counselor to people who are going through some severe problems is something that will build up your spiritual armor so that you will be able to stand in the evil time to come. By doing that, you will cease being deceived into submission by the anti – Christ media lies and instead have your eyes opened to and trained upon the reality, which is that our only hope of salvation is in Yeshua HaMashaich, and that all other hopes and considerations are false diversions. If you have not given yourself over to the hope of Yeshua HaMashiach, follow this salvation plan and do so now. If you have already given yourself to Jesus Christ, then please keep your eyes and heart trained on him lest you waver, stray from the path, and fail to endure until the end.

Burma Army Launches Fresh Attacks Against Karen Civilians

The Burma Army has launched fresh attacks against villages in northern Papun District, Karen State in recent days, killing at least three people and displacing more than 1,000, reports Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW). On March 20, Burma Army troops attacked Tha Da Der and Hta Kaw To Baw villages, causing more than 400 civilians to flee into hiding.

On March 18, villages in Toungoo District were shelled, and on March 15 troops from Burma Army Infantry Battalions 379 and 380 attacked Saw Ka Der in southern Mon Township, causing at least 600 villagers to flee into the jungle. According to the Free Burma Rangers, “These are the most recent examples of increased Burma Army activity throughout the three northern districts of Karen State: since the end of February it has launched multiple attacks in villages, boosting supplies to its camps, increasing its use of forced labour and severely restricting the movement of people in villages under its control.”

On February 21, troops from Burma Army Light Infantry Battalion 590 killed two Karen men, Saw Echo Win Naing from Paw Pi Der village and Saw San Myint from Htee Htaw Loh, close to the Shwegyin River. Three days later, troops from Light Infantry Battalion 378 shot and killed 22 year-old Saw Mah Sha Htoo, a student, and wounded his brother Saw Hser Nay Say as they were returning home from buying rice. The Free Burma Rangers report that villages in the area are running low on rice supplies, and are facing increasing extortion and demands for forced labour. Christian Solidarity Worldwide’s National Director, Stuart Windsor, said: “These reports reach us almost daily. The situation in Karen State, and in other parts of Burma, is desperate. We would urge the European Union to strengthen the Common Position on Burma, when it is reviewed next month, in order to send the regime a strong, clear message that its current behaviour – the killing, the rape, the torture – cannot go on.”
