A Question For Jesus Only Oneness Pentecostal Trinity Deniers

Posted by Job on May 15, 2009

Oneness Pentecostals, as well as Christians who support and fellowship with oneness Pentecostals, here is a question of you.

The Bible declares God the Father, called the Ancient of Days (see Daniel 7, especially verses 9, 13, and 22) to be King in various places. The Bible declares God the Son, called the Angel of the Lord in His preincarnate form (see Joshua 5:14-15, also Exodus 3:4-6 cross referenced with Exodus 3:2Acts 7:30Acts 7:35 ) and the Word of God (John 1:1-18, Proverb 8 especially verse 30) and Jesus Christ to be King.

However, the Holy Spirit, called the Spirit of God the Father (Matthew 10:20Isaiah 61:1, Luke 4:18) and the Spirit of God the Son (Galatians 4:6, Romans 8:9, Isaiah 61:1Luke 4:18) is never declared to be King by scripture at any time. Also, where both God the Father and God the Son are both spoken of as being glorified and exalted, to my knowledge God the Holy Spirit is never spoken of by scripture as being glorified or exalted at any time.

How is this possible? I welcome your replies. Thank you.

I’m sure if you wade through the over 700+ replies on the other thread, you should be able to find some of the answers to your questions.

But it would be an answer to prayer to be able to see a Oneness and Trinity discussion and disagreement done without both sides accusing the other of not being born again…

A weak argument against the “Oneness” camp. You have to do much better than this, or I’ll just have to refer to you as a hater without a cause.

If you dont believe that Jesus is the only Way, Truth and the Life you will die with your sins, He is God manifested in the flesh, 1Tim 3:16. He was God the Father in creation, the Son of God for redemption of sin and Holy Spirit in re-creation of our spirit. Now you must have the resurrection power of Jesus thats the Holy Ghost to explain the bible without it your explanation will be carnal just like you are doing right now. Let Jesus en light the spirit of your mind for you to see clearly what He is trying to reveal. try and be born again spiritually, I’m saying genuinely born again, all the 4 gospel reveal this, in Mat 28:19 (Name-singular), mark 16:16, Luke 24:45-47, John 3:3-5 and all its fulfillment in Acts 2:38. The new testament is written only to those who are baptized in the name of Jesus not to Trinitarian or half truth,. Gal3:27. The Devil has blind plenty of people not to know the true gosple of Christ that He is the image of the invisible God.If you dont believe this, James said, if you believe their is one God even the devil believe and they trenble, so if dont believe inthe oneness than the devil is better than you. Det 6:4 Hear o Israel the lord your God the Lord is one, thats why the Jews dont believe Christian you think that their is 3 God, you spoil the reputation of the apostles, Paul said in Eph 4:4,5,6, their is one lord, one baptizm, one faith, one Gopd the Father of all thats in you all.

      Original:

“He was God the Father in creation, the Son of God for redemption of sin and Holy Spirit in re-creation of our spirit.”

Wrong. The Bible speaks of the role of the Son and the Spirit in creation. The Bible speaks of the role of the Father and the Spirit in redemption of sin. The Bible says in several places that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Spirit indwell each other and testify of each other. And you prove yourself to be dishonest when you deny that Matthew 28:19 commands to baptize in a Trinitarian formula. Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God, true. But Jesus Christ also said that “No one has seen the God at any time.” How is that possible? Jesus Christ also said: “Why do you call me good? There is none good but God” to the rich young ruler. How is that possible? You oneness people are going to have to come to grips with what the Bible actually says at some point. For your sakes, I hope and pray that it is before judgment day. There is a reason why the Trinitarian doctrine was being formed as early as the first two decades of the second century (within a few years after the gospel of John and Revelation was written) but oneness did not rear its ugly head until the third century, was rejected time and time again, and did not come back until the early 20th century.

First and fore most..the Bible does not say, teach or even mention a “God the Son”.The flesh was NOT deity but rather a physical manifestation of the One Invisible God who is Spirit.I believe people believe there is One God,however they fail to understand that this One God who is a Spirit, omnipresent redeemed his very own creation all by himself with the help of no one in heaven. He set the price for redemption from the very start, sinless blood..since He is Spirit and has no blood,he took upon himself to act and reach down to man’s level through the Vail of flesh in the only “begotten” Son,flesh of God..Jesus is not called the only Son of God but THE ONLY BEGOTTEN..Son of God..He had a beginining and He had a ending..the flesh had a limited purpose and it was simply a tool in the hand of God..a vehicle, the physical manifestation of the Invisible God.Jesus was not a 2nd person but THE PERSON of God..He was as the scripture teaches..the IMAGE of the INVISIBLE GOD..Col 1:15..He gave the Spirit a shape,a voice and a way for mankind to behold God..John 14:9-10..

      Steve Mullican,

      Hi hope you are well.

So in Acts 7:56 When Stephen says he sees Son of Man standing at the right hand of God, Stephen is referring to who?

      Love,

      John

“The Bible says in several places that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Spirit indwell each other and testify of each other.”

Yes, just like my spirit and soul indwell my body, yet I am only one man with only one name, created in the image of God.

Correction. On my last post, I halfheartedly agreed with some unbiblical terminology to make my point. The Bible does not say “God the Son” did or does or indwells anything, because the term is not found anywhere in Scripture.
