CHARISMATICS NOW CLAIMING TO BE ABLE TO FORGIVE SINS!

From Soli Deo Gloria: Watch This: SINS FORGIVEN IN THE THIRD WAVE
This is the New Breed, those who believe they are the Churches future: What do you think, can we forgive someone’s sins? I posted this under the thread about Lee Grady’s recent commentary, ‘Can We Avoid a Charismatic Civil War?’, but want to include the link here as well. This is a very serious reply to Lee’s commentary written by Dan at Cerulean Sanctum blog; The Coming Charismatic Civil War. Read it if you have the time, for what Dan is talking about includes what you’re seeing in this clip which is being taught to people attending these New prophetic and Supernatural Schools of Ministry.

I’ve never been comfortable with the charismatic movement since first discovering that they existed in the early 90’s. So I’m not surprised that things have gone this far.

Job, there is way more heresy going on than even one can well keep up with.
These deluded souls have obviously become so bold in their heresies, that they are now doing the old Roman Catholic hack job off John 20:23. When even the Apostles themselves NEVER proclaimed sins forgiven of themselves. They knew they were simply offering the message of salvation through Jesus Christ, not of themselves. The person who hears the Word affirms they received grace through their expression of faith, nobody else can be the faith for somebody else! It’s a passage of scripture that the unlearned can’t well handle and just like those who hack 1 Corinthians 15:29 and try having proxy baptisms for their dead family members, it causes them to embrace false gospel.
2 Peter 3:14-16 (New American Standard Bible)
The ONLY ONE who could ever look at someone and claim their sins were forgiven is JESUS CHRIST! And it is STILL JESUS CHRIST who saves and we don’t know who might receive grace. We could never look at someone who is totally unresponsive and claim whether they received the gospel or not. We are not God, we can’t see the heart.

So these folks are really just going back into Roman Catholicism. That is precisely what I thought as well when reading this. You know, the claim of the Roman Church that they are able to forgive sins undermines one of the best Bible defenses for the deity of Jesus Christ. A person from the Roman Catholic mindset would probably read how angry the Jews became over Jesus Christ’s forgiving sins and says “what is the big deal, our priests forgive sins all the time!” and probably would perceive the Jews as being merely irrational and hateful (anti – Semitism!) instead of understanding that they thought Jesus Christ was committing blasphemy.

Well if this branch of hyper charismatics are claiming to speak forgiveness of sins in proxy, certainly they’ll start doing baptisms in proxy as well! They were already selling indulgences.
When will they start charging pew rent along with their RC modeled “tithing” scam?

I wish i had come over here to read your excellent response IC, before spending an hour putting together a reply to someone who left a comment on my blog, agreeing with this young womans words. aha…
I would have just linked to your response and been done with it!
The teachings of the RCC came to me when watching this too–but at least the RCC (wrong as it is)expects you to confess your sin before some priest forgives it–this young woman appears to be saying confession isn’t/wasn’t even necessary.
“….baptisms in proxy..”
Yes, that seems to be where this new breed of Charismatics is heading…

Hey PJ Miller,
Oh but Roman Catholicism does claim a means for people who never “confessed” (in the heresy of seeking men to confess to rather than the Lord Jesus) to be saved by proxy. That is where the whole baptisms for their dead family members comes in. They feel, if you never really rejected the RC cult, that even after death you might be heading to “purgatory” and they might be able to “get you out” with enough people praying for you and getting baptized on your behalf. They just feel if you start confessing to their men in the wooden box and following the rest of their heretical legalism now you might have a shorter stay in “purgatory” and if you are really into what they tell you to do, you just might, just might get into Heaven right away upon death. Ask a Roman Catholic if they are going to Heaven when they die and they’ll respond “I hope so” because most feel they’ll spend time in purgatory and they’ve been taught they can’t affirm they are going to Heaven. They need to get out of that cult and learn about salvation by grace alone through faith on the Lord Jesus Christ, not men and their traditions.
