My understanding is that when Paul speaks of the "all Israel" he's referring to an end-times remnant, though obviously not *all* Israel summed over time- i.e. every Israelite that ever existed, ever. Even a casual reading of the Bible will reveal that to be untrue. And I'm not sure there's anything in that transcript that suggests Robertson was advocating dual-covenant theology as such- it depends what he means by the "all Israel".

Of course said remnant will only be saved upon accepting Jesus as their Messiah- there is no other way.

Responding to the responses…

The NT makes it clear that the law is our schoolmaster. It brings us to Christ.
The coming of Christ 2000 years ago was an extension of the ONLY covenant.
There has only been ONE covenant all the way back to Adam and Eve.
Jesus IS the covenant.

Without Jesus or Yeshua there is no way to get to heaven or avoid hell.

Remember that Abraham was a “Gentile” before he was called a “Jew”.

It’s not about RACE, it’s about FAITH.

Some of the Jewish race may follow the Torah. Many also follow the Talmud. Additionally, others are Buddhists or atheists.

Even if one were to make the vain argument that following the Torah would lead to salvation, what of those of the Jewish race who do not even follow the Torah?

Would the believers in “dual covenant” theology count ALL Jews as worthy of heaven?

The citizens of modern day Israel are as wicked as modern day Americans… as wicked as their idolatrous ancestors whom God punished.

Let’s suppose that everything that the NT teaches is for the Gentile ONLY, and not for the Jew.
THEN the modern Jew had better be living VERY righteously by the law, in order to please God.

All-
Step back for a second and look at the big picture. The New Testament describes 3 distinct groups of people. Jews, Christians (Gentiles), and those who are non Jews and non Christians (the world). Later, the New Testament gives the Great Commission to Christians to "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel" Notice the people group reference, it is not talking about the Jews. The Jews were given a covenant by God made through Abraham in the Old Testament. They are believing that God will send the Messiah to come save and redeem them.

The New Testament describes that the Jews were blinded to the fact that Jesus was Lord when he was on the earth the first time. Why would God blind them and then send his chosen people to Hell? The Messiah they are waiting for is the second coming of Jesus Christ. They were blind to the first coming of Jesus so that the non Jews could have the opportunity to be saved, made right with God, and that the Church could go into all of the world. The big purpose of the New Testament is so that the non Jewish people could have a way to salvation through Jesus.

The Jews will one day have the blinders removed to who Jesus really is and be given the choice to either believe in Jesus or go to Hell, the same as any Christian. I am no theologian, but from what I understand that will not happen until after church has been raptured. That is why Jesus said "I am THE way, THE truth, and THE life. No one comes to the father except through me." That doesnt exclude the Jew, it includes them.

Dual Covenant theology is basically saying that the Jews are waiting for Jesus and that they still have a valid covenant with God. They can convert and accept Jesus now, which is a new and better covenant than the old one, but does not invalidate their old covenant. The active, practicing Jew is believing in their covenant relationship that God made with Abraham, and believing in their Messiah.... who they will find out is Jesus. If a Jew doesnt believe, they will go to Hell like any other person who rejects God or Jesus.

Replacement theology (the opposite of Dual Covenant) basically says that God is done with the Jews, their old testament covenant is broken, and they need to accept Jesus or go to Hell. First off, God does not break his covenants. The new testament is described as a new and better covenant, but not a replacement covenant. On top of that, a practicing Jew believes in the coming of their Messiah, the Lion of Judah, which is Jesus coming to rule and reign on the Earth. In the book of Revelation, the Jewish people are God's earthly ambassadors in the Eternal ages to come. The Christian will be ruling and reigning with Jesus. If the Jewish person no longer mattered or were replaced by the Church... why would they be referred to separately in the Eternal ages to come??????

The Dual Covenant theology is false. Even John Hagee has been caught up into it. The Bible in the NT is clear that Jewish people and Gentile have to believe in Jesus Christ to obtain Heaven. It's as simple as that.

Brother Job, I just want to thank you for especially making a copy of this post. This is a major issue regarding people like Pat Robertson, that gets glossed over too often. That is just shocking to me.

An entire Bible with apostles working till death to tell their fellow Jews about the Christ they had crucified and the NEED to embrace Him NOW, while Pat Robertson trashes all the good effort by lying to Jews.

You can't honestly follow the Bible and get this issue wrong. This is not a "non-essential". It is very much an essential, that Christians all have this correct, or they are NOT following the gospel of Jesus Christ, first to the Jew AND THEN to everyone else.

Romans 1:16 (King James Version)

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Try and remove (or even water down) evangelism to the Jews and you are under another gospel. That is not the message of Jesus Christ, so it can only be seen as work of another jesus. A false christ.
