Have You Looked At Pornography In The Past 24 Hours?

Question. Have you looked at pornography in the past 24 hours? How about
in the past 24 minutes? It is NO ACCIDENT you are reading this message
today! God is speaking to you!

If there was ever a guy who belonged in jail, it is Joe Francis, the
infamous founder of the Girls Gone Wild pornographic videos. Sadly, in this
nation they don’t put people in prison for poisoning minds and hearts, but
earlier this year Francis was in jail on contempt of court charges stemming
from a civil lawsuit for using under age girls in his videos, and has
subsequently been indicted for failure to pay over $20 million in taxes. It
couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy!

The reality is, Francis’ legal problems stem from his ego and pride more
than anything else. He will settle the civil case he was being held on,
settle an incident he had while in jail for being in possession of
contraband (his business partner smuggled in a bottle of water, cash, and
some sleeping pills), and he will write a check to the IRS to clear up his
tax issues. You see, Francis has the money to buy the best lawyers and pay
his way out of these current legal problems. He has made that money by being
a big contributor over the last 10 years to the ever growing porn monster in
this nation with his popular Girls Gone Wild video series.

The Girls Gone Wild video series grosses $40 million a year in sales. FORTY
MILLION! There is virtually no production costs since these videos are
nothing more than a single video camera filming young girls on Spring Break,
in nightclubs, at places like Mardis Gras, exposing their breasts and bodies
for the camera. They pay the girls nothing so the only real costs involved
are tied up in the marketing of these videos to consumers. The ironic thing
is the target audience for this garbage are middle age men, many who have
daughters the age of the girls in the videos.

I’ll never forget 4 years ago I received an email from a man who was
struggling with an addiction to porn. He emailed me that the last straw for
him was sitting down one night to watch a Girls Gone Wild video, when all of
a sudden on the screen…was his daughter! He told me that as he sat there
frozen, seeing his daughter expose her body for the camera, all he could
think about were the tens of thousands of men who would watch that video,
looking at his little girl as nothing more than a sex object. It took that
experience for this man to come under the conviction he needed to take a
stand and fight his addiction to pornography.

Pornography is a problem many men, AND women have battled for a long time.
With the advent of the Internet, it has made accessibility to pornography
incredibly easy, and has now become a very real societal problem. As with
all problems in society, many Christians also end up caught in the traps the
enemy has laid to destroy people’s lives. Let me say up front, DO NOT
underestimate the destructive power of pornography. Like all sin, it starts
almost innocently, but always escalates. One day you are browsing through
X-rated pictures, and the next you are actually involved in a real physical
relationship. One day you are chatting with someone, the next your chat
becomes more graphic, and then you are actually sitting next to them. Like
all sin, there is a seductiveness that eases you into it, and one day you
wake up and you are in total bondage to that sin.

The reason pornography is a sin is because God’s plan for sex is ONLY for
marriage, and with your spouse. Our sexual thoughts are to be only about
that person God gives us to share our life with. ALL other thoughts are
impure. Fantasies take our mind to places they shouldn’t be going. Even if
we never act on them. Jesus said, “If you lust in your heart, you have
already committed the sin.” Is that a high standard? Yes! But God has called
us to live at a high level in our life. We are to live above the low
standards of this world. We are to find our sexual satisfaction in the mate
God gives us to share our life with. That means very simply this. First of
all, if you are NOT married, you need to keep your thoughts pure and save
not only your body, but your MIND for the one God has for your life. If you
are married, your sexual thoughts and activities are to be ONLY with your
husband or wife. Anything else is not God’s plan and is sin.

Now that we know what God expects, let’s talk about real life. There is to
be NO compromise. This is what God expects from us. Now, how do we get to
that point. The best case is you are still young, have not been exposed to
pornography, you have the warning of this message to guard yourself against
it. For those who have been exposed in the past to pornography, the key is
to “renew your mind” and flush it out. We do that each day using the
spiritual detergent of God’s Word. Stay away from porn and guard your
thought life.

Of course, there are those who are currently involved in pornography at some
level. It is bondage. Before you can get victory over it, you have to want
to quit. Once you get to that point, you must realize it is a battle. Like
any battle, to see victory you need a battle plan. You need one or several
people in your life to be accountable to. You need the strength each day
only the Lord can give you. There is victory over pornography just like any
other sin if you really WANT victory.

***IT IS NO COINCIDENCE THAT YOU ARE READING THESE WORDS TODAY. SATAN WANTS
TO DESTROY YOUR LIFE. GOD IS SPEAKING TO YOU NOW TO DEAL WITH THIS ISSUE
BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. IF YOU DON’T, IT WILL DESTROY YOUR RELATIONSHIPS, IT
WILL RUIN YOUR FUTURE, AND IT CAN LITERALLY KILL YOU. DEAL WITH IT NOW!!!

I love you and care about you so much. I will be praying for you. I realize
this is hitting home with many of you. Let it be a special tap on the
shoulder from God that NOW is the time to deal with this issue in your life.
It isn’t going to change until you decide to change. As you know, any time
we pervert the original plan of God, things never really work. We always get
cheated out of the best God has for us when we settle for what the world
offers. You can only know the true blessings of God, the fullness of what
life can give, when we are in His will, living life His way.

Please take a moment and pray for Joe Francis. Pray that through all he is
going through in his life right now, he will open his heart to hear God’s
voice speaking to him. He is obviously a very creative and talented young
man. He could use that talent and creativity to do great things for the
Kingdom. Pray that he will open his heart to receive Christ’s love and turn
his heart from this world and destroying people’s lives, to Jesus and help
save lives!

Since this is such an incredible problem so many face, this Friday, I will
be spending several hours praying for those in this bondage to pornography.
God is in the deliverance business, and I know that He can deliver you from
the bondage of pornography. I will be praying for those people fighting this
sin in their life and believing God to touch their heart, bring them under
conviction, and help them to have the courage to take the steps necessary to
walk away from this sin and live a victorious life. He is able, and can set
you free. God is STILL in the deliverance business!!!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller bkeller@liveprayer.com

Eh, where and how has Jesus said that looking at pornography is a sin?

Sounds like a human translation to me…

  2. Job said

    Flounder:

Exodus 20:14 – Thou shalt not commit adultery.

Matthew 5:28 – But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Sounds like someone is trying to make what he already does, okay. There are many other verses of scripture that speaks to the unrightousness of viewing pornography.

AND! Titus 1:15 speaks to what happens when you fill the mirrors of your mind with filth. You become filth. PLUS, pornography is not a victimless pursuit.

Who cares what Jesus Christ says? I have a question for you … what is going to happen to you when you die? And what is your basis for believing so?

Let’s be realistic here. Christian doctrines have no more truth in them than the teachings of Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, or a myriad of other religions. Christians use hell as a scare tactic to sway people to their cause. There is no evidence an afterlife exists. Psychological studies, such as the one conducted by Ronald Siegel in 1980, have even shown that the supposed “life-after-death” experiences reported by people (traveling through a tunnel, entering a city, etc.) have extraordinary parallels to drug-induced hallucinations. So, in short, I consider the appeal to an afterlife a very weak argument.

Also, if viewing sexually explicit materials promotes pleasure and does not cause harm to anyone else, on what grounds can a rational person possibly oppose such behavior? Claiming that the Bible condemns the viewing of pornography as a sin is also a weak argument. For one thing, the Bible condemns (in Leviticus) a myriad of activities (shaving, eating certain types of meat, etc.) as immoral, and we do not consider those behaviors morally binding today. One cannot base ethical beliefs solely on the Bible.

Then what ? Does ” pseudo rationalism ” have the answers ? No … skeptics whom regard ” Science ” as if it were God ( ” Ommi Science ” I like to call it or anything that involves the branch of this mentality ) repulse me and are nothing but blind fools … there is evidence for the truth of Christianity … you need to be realistic and stop being secular humanist post modern relativist

OH!!! Its my man Rob again and he took my scripture.
Ok, I used to be into the whole pornography thing…I didn’t do any masterbating, but what I was doing was still WRONG!!!
Like the scripture Rob quoted, “That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.” ….applies to women too.
Pornography can ruin your life, I’m just glad I was delivered before it made any long lasting effects on my mind because I’m only 18!

And for those who do not believe that Christianity is the way and the only way, please allow me to share a short testimony.

Isaiah 53:5 “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”

Matt 17:20 “…Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”

The lesson today is faith. I’ve have seen a woman who was struck by lightening and then paralyzed, get up from her wheel chair. I seen many more notable miracles and was healed of siezures because of my FAITH!

Faith is the difference between Christianity and the other religions. Sure Christianity cannot be proven, but it can’t be disproven. Thats why it all comes down to faith.
I beg of you, give God a chance. If you will just go to a Bible teaching church, faithfully and attentively for 2 months, I have enough FAITH to say that God will turn your life around and show you the truth like he did for me and Rob.

oh and Flounder…let go of the porn, its not helping you in any way. Trust me on this on

If you think pornography is wrong then don’t look at it. Stop trying to ruin it for the rest of us. Why do Christians always try to impose their will on everyone that doesn’t think the same way or believe the same things they do? If it was up to Christians everyone would be the same and the world would be a very boring place to live.

  10. Job said

    Chris Chambers:

Do you feel the same way about, say, the speed limit on highways? Or illegal drug use?

  11. Chris Chambers said

Yes in fact. Speed Limits are just for control purposes and revenue. Just because a speed limit is increased or deleted completely doesn’t mean that people will go 130 everywhere they travel to. If people don’t speed normally then they wont abuse it anyway.

Illegal drugs are illegal just because the Government is unable to enforce taxable income laws on it. Just like above if people don’t use drugs now…then they wont use them just because they are decriminalized. Just because something is illegal is not a huge factor if people are going to do something they want to do. Just look at the prisons.

  12. Chris Chambers said

i can’t sway you just like you are unable to make me believe that pornography is evil and that its producers should be in jail. That’s what we need, a more inflated inmate number. We have too many laws already. I guess i just kinda waste my time here.

  13. Readily pornography today isn’t made for artistic purposes. It’s made to increase lust among people. You may deny that assumption, but that’s real. Also, pornography is not peaches and cream as its supporters maintain. Blood, hurting, and other things that are disgusting revolve around it. It readily exploits men, women, and even children in some cases. That’s why child pornography is illegal and condemn by most people in this country from across the political spectrum. I don’t believe in a federal government disruption of pornography, but state and local government ought to handle that issue. Child pornography is definitely out of bounds. Churches have every right to condemn pornography from their pulpits because they involve lust, and exploitation of sex, and fornication (because pornography in many cases involve 2 unmarried people to have sex with each other for profit. By definition, that’s fornication).

  14. James said

This world would be a great place without pornography. Marriages would last longer because more respect would be given to women vs looking at them for sexual favors.
The democrats want more porn, alterative lifestyles and the abortions to kill off the children concieved in sin.
This is really about politics and a new push to get rid of all morality and Christian influence.

  15. Tom said

I used to be addicted to hardcore porno. Knew it was wrong and hated myself for doing it, but was in a lot of sexual frustration all the time. Coming from a bit of a prudish, not very sociable family probably didn’t help. Cursed myself for not being able to stop masturbating, fantasizing, etc. It’s weird because I was also very hateful of the idea of sex in general, that it was somehow improper and rude or for more carnal unsophisticated people, not so mature Christians, etc.

Learning to view sex in a positive way was a big breakthrough for me. Marital sex is to be encouraged and praised, like Songs of Solomon does. Also, people need to be told that it is something good to aim for; it is good to be married and have sex. Sex is not inherently rude, dirty, silly or shameful thing that needs to be excessively hidden as if it were some occult black magic. If you think it is, you will simply end up having dirty sex. This is probably why porn sites often have videos with actresses called sluts, whores, dirty girls, sin, etc. All true, not because it’s sex though, but because it’s in a dirty context.

The church needs to encourage marital sex, or be sex positive. Not just attack porno.

    • Job said

      Tom:

And your evidence that legitimate Biblical Christianity is opposed to normal, healthy marital relations that honors God is what exactly? The people who make the false claim that Christianity is anti-sexuality are those who do not want to abide by the Bible’s commandments. Such are people who want to commit fornication, adultery, homosexuality, prostitution, incest and bestiality. They are also people who want to indulge in what the King James Version calls “harlotry” and “lasciviousness”, which is dressing and behaving in a sexually enticing manner that is done for A) your own sexual gratification and B) so that you can use your body and the sexual fantasies that you create in others with your body to manipulate, exploit and control others (i.e. women who dress provocatively and act like “flirts” in order to procure favorable or desired treatment from men). And whether you want to acknowledge it or not, the culture that allows “harlotry” one day will allow fornication and adultery the next, and homosexuality the day after. Proof of this is none other than observing America’s churches. The “prudishness” that you describe was intended to stop harlotry, and to adhere to the Biblical command that we dress and behave modestly, precisely so that we wouldn’t degenerate into the current scene where some of the best known evangelical Christian women (I kid you not, these are current or former Pentecostals and Southern Baptists) are Carrie Prejean, Heidi Montag, Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, and Jessica and Ashlee Simpson. Add that to how so many popular young gospel and Christian artists wear the same revealing clothes and do the same gyrating dance moves in their videos (and are also having sex scandals right and left from adultery to homosexuality) … look the problem isn’t prudishness, but rather A) the need to be born again and B) the battle against the old man, the flesh, that occurs in every Christian. A key component to advancing in spiritual maturity (which is “B”) is ending the tendency to make excuses and blame others.
