Jesus Christ Showed Us How To Oppose False Doctrines And Those Who Preach Them

See this link from Independent Conservative: Jesus Showed Us How to Defeat Temptation and False Doctrines With Rightly Divided Scripture. And before you resort to the commonly given lie that we can’t do such a thing as discern, expose, and oppose false preachers because we are not Jesus Christ, let me give you this scripture: Luke 10:19 – “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy!” The final portion of that verse says “and nothing shall by any means hurt you”, so that just lets you know that all of you who attack me for doing God’s Will for telling you how all of these false preachers are misleading you and exploiting you for money, well your words are just roll off me like water on a duck’s back, and I tread it under my feet like the salt that has lost its savor that it is. Oh yes, and to seal the deal, this verse particularly shows why if Jesus Christ had the authority to oppose false preachers so do we: John 14:12 – Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And the “I go unto my Father” part is key. When Jesus Christ went to the Father, He sent to the church a comforter, the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is what gives us the power to discern false teachers and preachers, and the power and authority to oppose them. It is because of the Holy Spirit that we are not merely to “pray for them”, “pluck the beams out of our own eye”, “not judge”, and “let the wheat and the tares grow together.” See, those verses and references are either grotesquely taken out of context (i.e. the wheat and tares growing together was in response to the disciples asking why God allowed evil people and conditions in the world to persist … Jesus Christ was answering the theodicy question, not saying that there should be no church discipline, or else how would you explain Revelation 2 and 3, which of course you never read because there is no “prosperity” in those chapters) or were what Jesus Christ said to HIS PHARISEE ACCUSERS and not the righteous who believed on Him. Of course, if you are AN UNSAVED PHARISEE ACCUSER, you cannot judge right from wrong because you are A) still a filthy sinner yourself and B) you do not have the power, authority, discernment, or guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ was telling the PHARISEES that they had no right to judge His disciples because they did not believe in Him and therefore were unrighteous. It was not even a case of the blind leading the blind … the Pharisees accusing His disciples was the equivalent of a blind man trying to lead someone that could see. That was why the BEAM was in the eye of the accuser and the MOTE was in the eye of the disciple. The BEAM was the major problem, their rejection of Jesus Christ, that would keep them out of heaven. The MOTE, while representing a real flaw because none is righteous and perfect but God, was of no concern because it had been already forgiven by the possessor of the mote because he had been forgiven already; it was already covered by Jesus Christ. Take for instance Paul’s thorn in the flesh.
Of course, your false preachers probably teach you that John 14:12 means that you have the power to create and destroy with your tongues because you are gods, children of the Most High, right? Of course they are going to tell you that, because the do not want to give you the truth that you could use to oppose their lies and corruption. Bottom line: if you are one who has rejected Jesus Christ and the truth of scripture, you should not judge or accuse anyone, because all you are doing is bringing condemnation on yourself. But if you have accepted Jesus Christ and the truth of scripture and you are NOT loving God by opposing those false preachers who profane and defile His Name with their false doctrines (God is not mocked!) and are NOT loving your neighbor by trying to warn them against following these snakes and liars to their hurt, then you are not doing what God has specifically called and charged you to do, and you will be held accountable for it on judgment day.
Again, I really do think that a lot of you Christians that follow these false preachers and resent all who expose their falsehoods have forgotten that there will be a judgment day, and that judgment is going to start with Israel, meaning the church. The very first act of judgment is going to be separating the sheep from the goats. THEN God is going to deal with everyone else. That is why Revelation starts with the judgment of the church in chapters 2 and 3 before dealing with everyone else in the subsequent chapters. That was why the parables and sermons of Jesus Christ in the gospels spoke primarily of those who claimed to be lovers of God and were not rather than the world (and appropriately so, because Jesus Christ was sent to and preached only to those who purported to be worshiping YHWH, Israel and Samaria). It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of an angry God, and you Christians who are diligently defending these preachers that have rejected the Bible need to read the classic sermon from which that phrase comes: healtheland.bravehost.com/Docs/SinnersInTheHandsOfAnAngryGod.htm That old time religion is still good enough for me.
